Charles was lost in these woods. Then again, wherever he was he`d be lost. Wherever he went, the world would just reject him. It wouldn`t even allow him to die a swift death. How could this be? Why did he get this fate? What kind of sick joke was this?
Months had passed since he first aqquired one of his spirits, Steamdramon. His life had gone bad, then worse, then then even worse and whatever was beneath that. He was barely able to stand it. His friends lasted for moments. His girlfriend lasted for a few weeks. None would stick with him, none except those he didn`t want with him.
And all his crimes. All his mistakes. He wasn`t able to supress his spirit`s will power, nomatter how hard he tried. They had forced him into doing all kinds of things, none of which were good. It was a nightmare. All the pain, all the sorrow, all the grief. And still, he knew he had to contain them, and the anger and hatred they breeded, which got stronger by the second.
But still, despite all this, he was beggining to see...a different side of his spirits. Something at the beggining he`d never thought possible: He was beggining to see his spirit`s point of view. Understanding it. Perhaps even accepting it. If evil was punished, certainly people would be good, right? If it was fully punished. That was his latest spirit`s point of view, Nightdramon`s argumente. Well, part of it.
Charles had to wonder. Was he going mad himself? Or was there something more to what his spirit`s said that was really beyond regular Conception, in a good sense?

[ENTER]
Ankh flew across the skies, but he needed to find a place to rest. Maybe he could rest under the woods somehow? So, he landed on the Server Woods, as his strongest form, FireBeelzemon. There, he landed on a tree, and laid his body there. Ankh then had some snack, by opening a package of strawberry-flavored popsicle before eating the ice cream. Mmm, it tasted good.
What caught his attention was a kid. He was a kid that seemed... confused. Looks like he lost his motivation and conviction. Hmm, he decided no to bother him for a moment. That boy looked like that he was thinking about his life problems. Oh well, none of them were Ankh's concern. he kept eating his popsicle until it melts out in his mouth. Maybe you can say he was weird one, as fire type Digimon likes icy foods like ice creams.
After eating, Ankh then threw the popsicle stick remained from the popsicle below. Hopefully it didn't hit the boy below there or else... he would have worst moment ever. "Hoaaaah... I feel so tired." Ankh yawned as he rested his head on the tree. Well, let's have a nice nap, for now.

Charles continued walking through the woods. Certainly, this wasn't place to stop. Was there any? He had no clue, and how could he? So far, life seemed to try to impose the law of the jungle upon him. "Eat or be eaten", though he is version was more like "Kill or get tortured and die a slow painful death". Charles wondered why he still chose the second option so many times. Was it really fair for him to put himself through all this suffering due to caring about others, while others seemed to refuse to really care about him?
He shook his head and slapped himself. How could such a though cross his mind? Caring about others isn't about being cared back. And even of it was, it was clear people did care about him. Some did, at least. But his spirits pushed them away from him. That's why he was still around and moving, he had to find a way to get rid of them.
Suddenly, something hard hit him on the head. It wasn't very large, but it sure hurt a lot. Charles look up, seeing a demon-like digimon with a huge cannon in the place of his right arm. His head still hurt, but he stayed silent. He was used to pain. Maybe a little too much for one's health, but still...
Besides, complaining would draw attention from the digimon which he didn't want to get. It seemed to be restong, so pudding him off would be bad, terribly bad. Even his latest spirit, Nightdramon, wouldn't be able to beat this guy. Or would he? The dragon did beat another mega level, but only because that mega level was arledy injured deeply.
Quietly, Charles tried to move away.

"Oh, you poor flame, able to blaze brightly, consuming fuel all too quickly. Where extended warmth is no forte of yours, you're quick to fizzle. Alas, some flames burn proudly as such..."
"*Pant* *pant* If you don't shut up... *pant* I'll roast you..."
"Please, you strain to flicker. Can you even stand aflame?"
"Can we...*pant* stop with the fire references?"
"I promise only to wane."
Betty was on the ground, in her ultimate form. Vetina, in her Mega, stood above her, extending a hand to her. It was someone's idea, but Betty was to jog for as long as she could. And so she did, in this hot jungle, running until she was tired, out of breath, and only after 8 minutes.
"Pace moderately, pal, if endurance is the goal. Is your well being secure?"
The Paildramon took Vetina's hand and was pulled up. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just need... a break."
Some minutes passed, and Betty was now rested enough to walk relatively unimpeded. However, the end of their break was the sighting of a certain FireBeelzemon off in the distance. Vetina decided to pay him a visit, with Betty tagging along.
They took flight, and the trip short, with the two landing near Charles. Both saw him, although Vetina seemed to half ignore him. But she did see the popsicle Ankh dropped on the ground.
"Can I behold your witchery as to your method of maintaining popsicles? Not a vendor dotted here or there for miles..."

Hmm. Looks like the popsicle stick hit the boy's head. As he turned to him, Ankh looked back at the boy. Looks like he was wandering in loss, with nothing left for him. Well, looks like he deserved an act of pity. "What are you doing here alone, brat? Going alone in this place is dangerous for you." Ankh asked the boy.
Maybe that boy didn't have time to answer, as he seemed to dwell in his thought of failure and regret. But still, he couldn't afford to let the helpless kid to get attacked by a random wild Digimon. Well, he was, until he felt something from the boy, for some reason. He couldn't explain, but he felt as if the boy was trying to hold someone inside him back. Could it be...
And then he met Vetina and Betty. In their re-encounter, she asked the most blunt thing regarding on how he got popsicles. Well, the answer should be obvious. "I bought them from a village. So a witchry isn't possible, even to likes of me, heh." Ankh scoffed at Vetina. "Besides, what are you guys doing here?"

From above, the demon asked what Charles was doing alone in the server woods. It was worrying that that digimon noticed him, as Charles would be vulnerable if he didn't use his spirits, something he wanted to avoid at all costs. Yet, there was more than fear. He was feeling some form...anger? Why anger? What this one ever do to him? Only then did he realise the feeling that was now sprouting within him could only have one scource:
"Nightdramon." Charles muttered to himself, grabbing his chest. It was almost a form of reassurance, something to calm himself down and avoid being overthrown by his spirits so quickly. Knowing it would be impossible to escape unnoticed now, he turned his head up and replied "Perhaps I like danger? We'll all be dead some day anyway, so why not to keep moving foward without fear of it?"
Looking straight ahead again, Charles was abut to continue walking when two strange-looking digimon (well, they were all strange-looking, but this ones seemed particularly strange to him) landed ahead, the gentle breeze created by the impact on the ground lifting up Charles's cloak for a short moment. He took a step back, trying to figure if this digimon's wanted a fight. In that case, he'd run. It would be better to be caught and killed than to let his spirit's out again. But if the pain was too intense, he couldn't be sure to be able to hold Chaoskimeramon.
The strange digimon asked about where the demon got the stick Charles had just be hit with. It was annoying to hear that question, but Charles was still suprised he felt this anger towards the newcomers too, even if it was less intense than with the demon. It would take a long time to get used to Nightdramon's powerful influence, which not even the cloak seemed to be able to counter.
Yet the feelings of anger ment this digimon's had at some point broken Nightdramon's laws. That wasn't saying a lot, because almost everyone had broken one of Nightdramon's laws at some point. But still, this intensity he felt towards the demon...it had to be something pretty serious. What could it be? Maybe not even Nightdramon himself knew.

As betty took a seat against a nearby tree, Vetina got a chuckle out of Ankh's reply to her question. "So my sight wiffed a vendor. Haha, I'll have to recon in the future.
Anyway, Ankh, Betty and I labored on leg endurance. An obvious betrayal of consumption habits I hold, I work my frame regularly. It was a lull in this practice that we detected you. And so, standing here to congregate, we are."
Vetina turned around, looking directly at Charles. "Render yourself relevant, or I'll fancy to ignore you. What handle would you consider? Your mood is standing hesitant, but you can spare me the cause. Just not a name."
"She's asking your name, by the way. Might as well speak up because I'm apparently the translator and most people she just met for the first time have no idea what she's saying."
"Lack of idea is harsh. I'd like to say a tap, with little willingness to grab."
"Juuuust keep telling yourself that."

Strange. Strange, indeed. Looks like that brat was holding something in pain. Maybe that Nightdramon, or what he mentioned, caused it all? Was he containing said entity? What Ankh knew was, this kid was suffering. He was weak, too weak to control his own power. What good a power is if in the end, you will destroy yourself with it eventually? That would be a paradox, right?
"I think you're right. We'll be dead someday. Unlike we Digimons who can rebirth and die all over again, you humans can't. That's why you have to be careful or else you will suffer the consequences." Ankh coldly said. "Also, you look like you're wandering in nothingness. You don't have any destination in particular?"
And then Vetina chuckled after hearing his answer. Well, sometimes that girl with all gibberish stuff could be air-headed sometimes, or at least what he thought. It wasn't like Ankh cared about that, anyway. Maybe they're trying to run through a forest for training, maybe he could join. But if anything, ANkh would rather fly, as it would train his wings.
And looks like Vetina noticed that brat... And having a friend around didn't help, either. Well, looks like that boy needs some convincing... In a way. "So, I wonder what's going on with you, though." Ankh said to the brat.

As the female mega looked directly at him, Charles shivered. The tensions were high, at least in his understanding. He was desperatly trying to contain Nightdramon, something he failed at many times before, with disastrous results. But, for all it's evil and power, Nightdramon was just an ultimate level-equivalent spirit. And he was at the moment surrounded by two megas and one ultimate. Charles looked down, trying to focus his eyed on the leaves, plants and dirt that covered the forest floor, hoping he could drift away Nightdramon's attention with his own. If it didn't work, Nightdramon was almost sure to come out, despite the odds.
"My name's Charles, and at the moment I fancy to be ignored myself." Charles replied to the two females. He then answered the demon "As for where I'm going in particular, I have no destination. No place where I would like to go. Only places I'd rather not go. In other words, if you'll excuse me, I should be on my way."
Charles looked back up and tried to go around the digimon on the ground, doing his best to avoid any eye- contact. His heart was pumping fast, a drop of sweat came down from his forehead as he approached the digimon. It felt as if his guts wanted to retreat into himself or explode into a million bits and pieces, all to avoid Nightdramon's pushes inside.
(Sorry about the delay)

That human seemed rather antsy, trying to get away from them. But he gave his name, Charles, and soon just tried to walk off, avoiding eye contact. Vetina shook her head and sighed.
"And there is the fleeter, queer he seems. There's no mutual engrossment, and off he goes to my apathy. Misaimed gazes and to stand hidden in view, perhaps attention troubles him. Only gives to a spastic breeze where he steps, too. He reeks of a torment, not of us.
But that... that's an issue of forthcoming antiquity, let sand rats lie, yes yes." Even Vetina had to admit, this human seemed unfun. Maybe not a brat but... he had issues. What they were, though, were unimportant. It was his business and she would not try to pry information from him.
"Say, Ankh, maybe during a day of no plans you and I can work Pilates."
"Pilates with Ankh? He won't be interested in any workout with you."
"Ankh's mouth piece you're not, nor of qualification. Let our Pyro avian determine his stance."

(Sry for delay. D: )
Ankh could see the fear in that boy. A fear of his own power loose and going out of control. Perhaps this Nightdramon thing was something he was going to contain? If so, then this boy could be dangerous. When the time came, maybe he had to slay the being inside him, along with that brat if needed. Well, talk about to claim Charles' power as his own.
"I see." Ankh said. "I'm Ankh, and if you're on your way, then be careful. I sensed something inside you, and you shouldn't let it take over you. I've seen a boy who merged with his Digimon and turned into a being who fed on their weak will. I almost got killed back then. You don't want that to happed, right?
Just what Vetina said. Charles was indeed a strange guy. Or rather... a problematic guy who prefers to keep his matters as his own only. Vetina then asked if he could go on Pilates. No, not interested. "Thanks, but no thanks." Ankh simply scoffed at Vetina.

Still trying to walk away, the expression "reeks of torment" called his attention. Were they talking about him? Maybe, but certainly they couldn't know of his fate. Right?
The demon told of this boy and his digimon, who merged into a being that fed on their will. Charles had to admit the story sounded curious and rather similar to his own. Maybe these three did know more than he assumed. Maybe he should stay and listen. He didn't have much to loose anyway.
"I`m still missing your names." He commented, looking at the digimon that surrounded him. Charles did his best to contain the pain and the undying curiosity regarding what these digimon could have done to sprout Nightdramon`s wrath so violently. Indeed he was violent, and strict in applying his laws, but this was...It burned harder than many times"I gave you mine."
"Come on, ask them. Ask the reason for my wrath. Charge them with their crimes, right here, right now. See the sneaky nature of corruption. The endless chains of the curse that evil is upon one`s mind." Nightdramon told Charles in his head. His chest felt like the sun had entered it. He also felt something else, something both foreign and familiar. His gaze turned towards the demon. Nightdramon`s anger and hatred were overflowing.
"And what...what are you up to?" Charles inquired the demon digimon. Any who listened carefully would have heard a snake`s sibling in the end of his words and a momentary flash of purple light from his pocket, which both faded almost immediately.

"Fine, obtain physical capability elsewise. Hee hee, you've not the knowledge of what's sliding out your fingers." Vetina would say, scoffing back at Ankh. And she would have enjoyed a Pilates session with him, too. Oh well, maybe one day.
The human seemed to have stopped. Something Vetina said prompted this. While the Miagemon was not astute enough in this instance to pinpoint what was wrong with him, not like how like Ankh was in telling his story from past experience, she did correctly guess that something was deeply troubling him. Now he asked for names, seemingly gaining a sudden bout of curiosity for the others around him.
Betty and Vetina did notice, however, that Charles did not deny any aspect of the story Ankh had told him. There was, apparently, some internal force, a spirit, most likely, that the human had to maintain control over. That would explain his wanting to simply get away from them.
"Huh, looks like you hit the nail on the head, Ankh. Not often I see anyone, human or otherwise, have this particular issue.
Anyway, since you asked, I'm Betty, this is Vetina, and that's Ankh. And, no, Vetina has nearly no ability to speak normally, in case you were wondering... and most others tend to wonder."
"It's a hand I'm forced to deal, so I deal."

Hah. Like hell he would care. Ankh didn't care about the stuffs about Pilates and all. It's not like he didn't like it, but just, he wanted to do something more important: To seek for greater power and to bring down all the atrocities the "strong ones" created to plague this world. But then, he saw this boy as the troubled one... The one who was avoiding his own powers.
So, this boy was having trouble, it seemed. A trouble similar to what one of the companions to Village of Beginnings, Tatsuya Kazan. He had biomerged with his Dorumon partner, to create a monstrosity called Omnimon Zwart X. It almost costed his own life, and his companions. Next time he meet Tatsuya, he would defeat him, and absorb his partner's powers. He couldn't let that being roam free, really.
The boy then asked everyone's name, after he gave his own. He would have introduced himself, but Betty beat him to it. So yeah, Betty said that he was correct off the bat, since Charles seemed to have similar issue. But then, he could feel the evil force within the boy's body... Was he the one who troubling that brat?
"Nothing. But I just want to know what's happen with you." Ankh answered to Charles. "It seems you have trouble on yourself... Or is it... you have something you're trying to contain?"

The Paildramon introduced herself and her friend as Betty and Vetina, while telling him that the demon`s name was Ankh. That was a nice start. Now, he had their names. But Ankh wasn`t so cooperative: he denied to be up to anything, instead making more questions on his problems. Did he really care? That...mega cared about some random human that happened to pass near him? This three knew each other, the fact that the paildramon introduced all of them was proof of that. Wasn`t it possible that they were trying to fool him into something? What?
"No." Charles muttered. He couldn`t let himself be so sinnical. If he did, Nightdramon would come out easily. Then again, could really trust this digimon more than Nightdramon? He sensed evil in them. At least Nigthdramon wasn`t deceiving like most: he was straightfoward in his goals and purpouse, always made clear what he wanted and why. This ones, on the other hand, could very well be planning to do something horrible to him, behind that seemingly nice attitude. He decided to insist "`Don`t lie to me. He knows. You`re up to something. What is it?There`s something you`re...guilty of"
Those last two words hardly came from his mouth, but Charles could have sweared a quick involunteer smirk appeared over his face before his remaining sanity quickly closed it.
