Name of Mission: At the Core of the Golden City
Client: Anonymous
Levels Needed: Super Mega-level only.
Requirements: You must be an active member of Hakainushi. Three members maximum.
Reward Offered: 20 posts and 40,000 bits.
Plot Description: At the end of it all, what stands but greed?
It had been weeks still since Giygas had sent out his scouts. Weeks since they had begun scouring the world from top to bottom for the sort of data Vandermon required. The weapon cores. For the proper unison he required; he needed three. Three cores; but not any three cores. Three cores of three incredible warriors with remarkable signature blades; and three warriors who had in their pasts exercised cohesion; who worked together; who killed together; who had since then retired to their positions, never ot see one another again. In the Valley of Dragons, they had found VictoryGreymon, beast and hunter, lone warrior of the nests who hung his pride high and held his blade higher. In the Empyrean Skies, Omnimon; defender of what was right, with dragon on one arm and wolf on another. And across the rumble of feet, deep in the Cliffs of Chaos, they found a small castle where every day, servants idly cracked at rock and plant as their master Tactimon stood upon the balcony of his home barking orders at them.
Within the hour, to each of them was delivered a letter in the most cordial of handwriting; a purple eye, spindly and bladed, printed at the top of a rolled sheet of parchment. "Atop ElDoradimon there is a city. At the center of that city, there is a tower. Beneath that tower there is a staircase. Down that staircase, there are more. Take the center til you reach the dead end. And at the end of the center, where one would normally reach a dead end, in approximately three weeks, as the sun sets, there will be a door revealed, and beyond it, three more. Face your past and grasp the riches of your future." The magicks of the tinkerers of Hakainushi meant this was all true; and yet far from it. The three of them pushed through the door one, by one, by one; they had their heated arguments and bitter exchanged about the olden days - and taking upon themselves their initiative, they each pushed through the three doors in the final chamber, burning in their rivalries, not to realise behind them the clicks of each lock and the doors sealing with a power far greater than theirs.
They were trapped; it had been bait, a lure, to get them here for a reason. And as each looked out over the chambers further; they saw battlefields; immense and wide; old and new; laden with grit and silt. Tactimon systematically pounded on each of the hollow, condemning chamber's four walls, looking for weak points, fruitlessly and to no avail; Omnimon hacked at brick after brick after brick with his blade and launched ball after ball of energy from the Garurumon mouth on his arm; and VictoryGreymon just shrugged, took to the centre of the room, pulled his knees up, and sat down, happy for a few moments of peace. Something would happen. Whether it was to be in a minute or an eternity, something would happen. That something?
Hakainushi.
Mission Description: This is a fairly straightforward affair; we're going Digicore hunting for Giygas. There are assumedly three members involved. Alastor (Vira Kumo and Otto), Zero (Akari Takahashi and Zeromon) and Envy (Giygas) as they are the only three who fit the specifics. Each of them will take to the golden city, with my character (Daichi Kumo) on earpiece to his sister; they will begin in the subterrane, having received their directives as per the mission to follow the same route; of course, as the doors locked behind the three Super Mega targets, they will unlock as each of the Hakainushi members moves through, courtesy of the organisation's few remaining tinkerers. Then, at the end, there will be the three doors; the left is to be for Alastor, containing VictoryGreymon. The right is to be for Zero, containing Omnimon. The centre is to be for Giygas, containing Tactimon. I (Ross) will control each of the Super Mega NPCs within; at this point posting order will dissolve - people may post freely in whatever order they see fit and wait for the Mission Maker to reply. Once the battles have sequentially finished, the assigned member may stop posting until the other two have. When this happens, the cores of each weapons will be retrieved; Omnimon's Grey Sword, Tactimon's Sword of Storms, and VictoryGreymon's Dramon Breaker. This will be done so using a specific piece of equipment known as the "Core Extractor".
Three Core Extractors have been issued; one to Vira, one to Akari, and one to Giygas (as constructed by Vandermon). The Core Extractor is a malleable and corrupt piece of equipment that changes appearance as you place it on (its base appearance is a simple leather glove with metal wiring attached). They are keyed to the specific biometric code of an individual; and to the Tamer, not the Digimon, meaning the Digimon must weaken the target and keep them at bay so the Tamer can enter (not in the case of Giygas) and pluck out the Digicore into a small, convenient, glove-type form. The filled Core Extractor is then to be given to Giygas for the purpose of amalgamating the collected Digicores and forging them into a blade. These Core Extractors may only be used once and are each specifically, once more, keyed to the digital codes and programming of their particular targets; swapping Core Extractors or attempting to use them outside of the mission is fruitless (and not recommended as they are only prototypes and may explode).
