Salla was practicing one of her katas in her cell. She did find herself constantly compensating for a lack of space. Artemis found herself watching. The kata was called Heian Shodan. In English, it meant Peaceful Mind #1. The Bakemon outside guarding Salla's cell wasn't like the rest of the guards. "Are you sure someone will come to help?" Salla asked. "Positive. My message must've reached Terminus by now," the Bakemon answered. "I have to thank you for all of you've done for me in my captivity. You made it all easier on me," she told him. "I've done what I could without being caught," Bakemon replied.
"Come now, the papers you brought for Salla to write on worked great for a diary. Your hospitality was something we're both grateful for," Artemis stated. "I know, just don't expect me to help you escape this place any more than I have. whoever comes will have to attack me to make the idea of breaking you out without my help look more convincing," Bakemon warned. "Yes, that Chaos Gallantmon fellow would have your head if he knew you were helping us escape," Artemis agreed. Salla bowed after she finished her kata. Little did they know, help was already well on its way.

Days ago...
"The job give no pay? Just rescue a tamer and her digimon from jail? It's a waste of time."
"Your presence missed'll not be needed."
"Who's to say this isn't some trap, or some criminal who needs help breaking out?"
"Fragility will be proven, bastille or other. My own quest reached temporary stalemate, anyways."
Betty sighed, crossing her arms and looking away. After a few moments, she turned back to see the Palmon stare back at her.
"I thought you didn't need me along." At this, Vetina clasped her hands together, and fell to her knees.
"A fib. I... um... require my mouthpiece..."
"...I realize you can't help the way you talk, really. But sometimes I wish you said certain things better...
And get up off your knees, Vetina." ------
The door to the jail cell opened slowly... and then the rest of the way suddenly as a Palmon rushed inside before closing the door again, quietly. Afterwards, she wasted no time, running quietly through the area until she saw the others.
"Salutations. Bakemon, if resistance you'll offer it's only enough to afford your demise."
She sounded quite cocky... but it was rather easy to sneak through this area, and the few Bakemon she saw weren't exactly imposing.
And then she turned to Salla and Artemis, running to the cell with sudden glee. Her eyes seemed to glow slightly when the odd Palmon got close to them.
"Yes, I feel... that glorious Moonmon!"

"I told you someone would come, didn't I?" Bakemon chuckled as he unlocked Salla's cell. "Go ahead and take them. This young lady's mom must be worried sick by now. I would've just let her go, but it would be pointless if she got caught by the other guards," he told the Palmon. Salla scooped up Artemis in her arms and exited her cell. "Your D-3 and D-Terminal are being held in the next corridor on the right, fifth room on the left," Bakemon told her. "Thanks again," Salla told Bakemon. "Just don't let yourself get captured," Bakemon replied. "So you benefit from moonlight then?" Artemis asked the Palmon.
"Let's just get out of this dump," Salla stated as she started walking according to Bakemon's directions. "See ya, Casper," she told the Bakemon. During her stay, Salla decided it was a fitting nickname for the only guard that was nice to them. She would move at a faster pace, but her foot steps could easily give her away to the other guards. "If this area of the Digital World the worst, I can't wait to get to the better areas," she stated. "I guess there must be more to you than meets the eye if you came here to rescue me without back up," she said to the Palmon.

The Bakemon was a friendly guard (not that Vetina would immediately know, given the nature of the message being "rescue me from jail"), so that was one less guard to worry about. Still, she picked up a nearby rock and looked at the friendly Bakemon.
"Uh, take no offense... but rather a guard overpowered than impotent. Many apologies."
The Palmon would chuck the rock at the ghost's head. Whether or not it would knock him out didn't matter. As long as he looked somewhat injured it might help him later on when the others find out they escaped.
Giving an affirmative nod towards Artemis to answer if she benefited from moonlight, she went with the escaped prisoners. It wasn't much, but Vetina could feel a slight increase in her abilities with the Moonmon around. Indeed, this was a feel good mission where she could take it easy and absorb some rays.
But probably not too much. Given her eyes have that habit of glowing while absorbing moonlight she didn't want to immediately get the group captured because of it.
"Incarceration'll be a spa once contending to worse places I've experienced.
Anyway, eyes of a contingency lie outside, for safety sake. Silent infiltration, and halt my appearance from betraying you, is a personal skill I hold, so I'm the sole necessity.
Now, now, let's mosey."

'Casper' gave the Palmon a curious look as she lifted the stone, which turned to one surprise when it was hurled at him. It nailed him on the head. "You could've just shoved me in the cell and lock me in you know," Bakemon pointed out. "Just because she's a plant doesn't mean she can put you to sleep," Salla pointed out before turning down the corridor. "Yeah, but it becomes more believable," Bakemon muttered. "At least we can understand most of what you're saying," Salla told the Palmon as she continued walking. Eventually she came to an old wooden door. She slowly turned the knob. The door creaked as Salla opened it partially. "I can't believe those idiots left the door unlocked," she stated.
She then proceeded to open the door the rest of the way. There in plain view on a wooden table was Salla's blue and white D-3 and her D-Terminal. "Am I the only who sees something wrong with this picture?" Salla asked. "You mean that either the guards are all incredibly incompetent or its a trap?" Artemis guessed. "That's what I thought," Salla agreed as her eyes scanned the room. "Artemis, check for invisible wires," she told the Moonmon. "Frost Breath!" Artemis blew a cloud of ices particles toward the table. If there were any invisible wires, they would be revealed.

Well, to be fair, Vetina *could* potentially put the Bakemon asleep. Although it involved an actual sleeper hold, and she wasn't entirely sure how effective it would be on that type of digimon.
Salla's items were plainly sat on a table, prompting the human to be suspicious about this setting. Artemis was told to breathe cold air out, hoping to uncover some trip wire normally unseen.
However there wasn't any. But Vetina, thinking about this room, figured they weren't out of the park just yet.
"Trip Wire's too unfitting, malformed to this situation. Maybe, a rigged floor, for your captors float, you don't. But certainty is a luxury we've no time for."
Vetina whipped out her finger tendrils, grabbing Salla's Digivice and D-Terminal from a distance. Handing them off to the human, she smirked a bit. "Why evade when avoidance is a solution, I say"

Artemis hopped out of Salla's arms. "Thanks," Salla told the Palmon as she was handed her D-3 and D-Terminal. She clipped the former to the strap of her bag and placed the other inside. "Now let's hurry before one of the guards catch us here," she stated. Now that there was chance for Artemis to Digivolve, they could afford to rush. Salla scooped up Artemis before jogging back the way she came. "I never did get your name. Mine's Salla, and as you already know, my Digimon partner here is Artemis," she told the Palmon. By the time they made it back to her cell, she saw 'Casper' locking himself inside. "What are you doing?" Salla stopped to ask.
"Putting on an act," the Bakemon answered as he threw the keys to the cell through the bars, causing them to his the wall and fall to the floor outside. "Good luck with that," she replied before running off again, this time following Palmon's lead as she didn't know the way out, much unlike the aforementioned plant Digimon. As soon as I'm out of here, I'm going to find Nova and go home, and I don't care which order I do it, she thought.

With the tamer now armed, the group was now ready to leave. Well, they would be, but they wanted to check up on Casper to see how he was doing. But before that, Vetina was asked what her name was. She hadn't even introduced herself!
"Ay, that ice puddle of lax memory, my apologies. I've had many handles, but 'Vetina' is the safest."
Casper had locked himself up in the jail and threw away the key. Vetina, still a bit sorry for hitting him (Vetina is not above pelting people with small objects but at least that Bakemon didn't do anything wrong), she spoke to him again. "Hope you sell, and work the bruise. Chao."
Vetina would lead the others out, keeping them hidden and telling them when it was safe to move on. Her steps were deliberate and quiet, showing that she was, indeed, adept at moving silently.
Still, they weren't out yet, and hopefully they would escape with no one seeing them. That said, Vetina was ready to fight if she needed to.

Salla's combat boots made her some what less stealthy, so she opted to take them off and run barefoot through the dungeon. This made stepping on pebbles painful, causing Salla to wince whenever she stepped on one. Everything was going smoothly until Salla heard a door creak open. She picked up her pace and rounded the next corner to avoid being caught. "That was close," she stated. "Hey, what are you doing here?!" "I spoke too soon," Salla sighed as she spun around. If they just ran from the guards after being spotted, they might warn the other guards. Artemis hopped out of her arms. "Dark Burst!" she fired an orb of dark energy from her mouth.
It exploded into the floor causing a cloud of dust to fly up. "Let's go!" Artemis told them. "Hold it. If we don't take him down, he'll just warn the other guards," Salla pointed out. "Dark Claw!" A decaying hand shot out of the cloud, which was already beginning to settle. The claw stretched pass Salla, whom sidestepped out of the way. She picked up a nearby rock and tossed it into the air. She then proceeded to kick it at the Bakemon, hitting it in the right eye. "Gah! My eye!" Bakemon object as he clutch the injured eye.

So far so good, they were getting through this place quickly enough. However, such fortune would not last long, as a guard had spotted them. Artemis started with an attack, creating a dust cloud. While they worked towards dodging and reacting to the Bakemon's attacks, Vetina used this time to run to the guard.
They were right, he had to be taken out or else he would warn the others. And Vetina was feeling particularly merciful today, so she decided to not kill any of these ghost digimon.
That said, even with the minor boost in power, Vetina would not want to fight a champion digimon as a rookie. Her body quickly shone and changed shape. For the sake of speed, when Vetina got behind the Bakemon she was already in her Armor Ultimate form, Blossomon.
Thorny vines would wrap around the Bakemon, making sure he would keep silent. As to what she would do afterwards... she didn't quite know yet.

The Bakemon barely caught sight of Vetina as she ran past. The Bakemon's startled yelp was muffled by Vetina's vines as they wrapped around him. That's it, just hold him still... Salla thought as she picked up another rock. She tossed it into the air. She kicked it at the Bakemon as before, this time hitting him in the other eye. "Just be glad you have no lower body," Salla pointed out. The Bakemon only glared in reply. "Don't look at me like that. You know what would happen if you did," Salla shot back. "Just because I'm weak doesn't mean I can't fight. Dark Burst!" Artemis launched another orb of dark energy, this time hitting Bakemon.
Bakemon had enough. Using his large sharp teeth, he made an attempt to bite down on the vines covering his mouth to get free. Rather or not he freed himself was remained to be seen. Regardless of the result, he blew a cloud of poisonous smoke. "Don't breath it in!" Salla warned as she covered her mouth. Artemis, unable to attack without opening her mouth, hopped away a safe distance. This may be more difficult than anticipated.
With any luck, Artemis would Digivolve again soon.

As Vetina contemplated on the Bakemon's fate, the others decided to get in a couple more shots (and wondering why can't Salla just throw a rock). Not willing to give up, he chomped on one of the vines, as Vetina had expected.
And it didn't help him at all. She was stronger and her vines were tough and thorny. She felt the bite, clearly, but it hardly would cause her to let go. The next thing he did was a little more unexpected, breathing out poison gas. Not to be outdone, Vetina, with her main head and the several blossoms, took a big, deep breath of said poison gas. It was done in attempt to quickly clear the air for the others. Vetina did begin to feel a bit woozy, but her strength, slight boost in power, and poison resistance took the brunt of the effects.
Vetina and her other blossom-head began to speak as the vines slowly writhed around her captive, and slowly got tighter.
"Oh a fair game."
"Ineffective ends."
"Oh shades of that contest of inebriation."
"Your life was to be considered, now less so."
"Sheet to shreds, Bakemon? I'm too tempted. Scream, and reach finality with certainty."

Salla could just throw the rocks, but kicking them at the Bakemon would provide much more force than merely throwing them, causing them to go faster and hit harder. She was pretty surprised to see Vetina inhaling the poisonous smoke cloud. The Bakemon could feel Vetina's grip tighten, constricting him more and more. Ever been wrapped in boa constrictors? Imagine that with spikes. "That's brutal," Artemis pointed out. "I'll take brutal over incapable any day," Salla stated. Then she noticed that the Bakemon was still struggling to get free. "Quit struggling. You'll just make this harder on yourself," she told him.
Despite the power Vetina got from Artemis being nearby, it wouldn't quite be enough to delete the Bakemon. Instead the Bakemon merely passed out hand hung somewhat limply in Vetina's vines. "Alright, obviously we can't leave an unconscious guard lying around so..." Salla looked around after finding a door, she opened it and checked inside. Finding it empty, she turned back to Vetina. "You can toss him in here. All we'll need is a way of keeping the door shut," she stated. As long she gets us out of here, I won't complain, Salla decided. It wouldn't be too much longer before they were out.

Struggle he did, but the Bakemon would not escape from Vetina's grasp and eventually fainted from exhaustion. A plan was brought up to throw him into an empty room and lock him in, which Vetina complied with. Placing him into the room with her vines, she closed the door and then, reverting to her Rookie stage, proceeded to use her Pivy Shurikens to rub down the door and stuff a few leaves in his mouth.
"Do not. Touch. This door. I'm still standing woozy but... but a minor ailment it is. Come, come. And nary-ware the vocals of a ghoul dressed in poison ivy, an annoying unfatal precaution."
And so they continued on. Vetina moved a bit slower at the moment as her body worked off the effects of the poison, but she still made good foot speed through the dungeon.

"Poison ivy, huh? Nice touch," Salla complemented. Artemis frowned, but said nothing as Salla scooped her up again. I think we'll get along just fine, Salla decided as she kept pace with Ventina once more. Things seemed to be running smoothly again. "You know Vetina, maybe we should stop and rest until your head clears," Artemis suggested. "Personally, I'd rather not be here when that guard wakes up," Salla stated. Artemis sighed. She didn't like it, but Salla had a point. Every second they spend there is another they risk getting caught.
"I heard shouting coming from down here!" "Lets check it out." Salla stopped dead in her tracks. If she didn't act quickly, they were going to get caught again. "Crud. If we don't do something they're going to find us," Salla stated as she looked around. She opened a nearby door. Finding the room empty, she darted inside. She held the door open for Vetina before shutting it almost completely. She peered out the crack and soon spotted two Bakemon go by. "That was close..." she sighed. "Maybe we should take a break after all," Artemis muttered. After that close encounter, Salla silently agreed with Artemis. "What do you think, Vetina?" Salla asked quietly.
