Entrapment Responses (Timmir)

It had been some time since Vetina had met up with M, the one who possessed the body of a Terriermon. While initially considering herself an enemy of his due to his actions (as well as other actions she perceived he had done but were ultimately proven incorrect), she now sees herself as "on even ground" with M.
When she left him after aiding his procurement of an Armor Egg, she left with two thoughts.
Firstly, while she was still a bit miffed at him for what he did to her, extracting some of her data without her permission, she would no longer actively search out for him. She had already told Crystal and Sanoske about Ghost, a digimon with Hylden abilities. Crystal had more stake in this, as it was her brother being possessed by M, and she was certain that Ghost would help them take care of things.
Secondly, Vetina had no clues as to where to find the ones who brought great suffering to the original Vetina, but given that she was sought out, and that this new Vetina was sought out as well, Vetina took a gamble on herself, figuring that whomever was behind whatever was happening would eventually come back to get her. Her data was apparently very important... a unique Hylden that the others wanted to get a piece of. Why look for them whey they would look for her?
Granted, she hoped that she would be a bit more prepared. She had underestimated them. She could, as a Hylden, sense if M was nearby, but not the two digimon who attacked her. Whatever they used to mask their energies, they also had a plan. This was no mere attack; they planned their ambush, attacked when she couldn't defend herself effectively (napping in a tree). While she underestimated them, they clearly didn't underestimate her.
And now she finds herself under the foot of a GeoGreymon in her LeviaRanamon form. It was hard to breathe as there was constant pressure applied on her person. Great enough to hurt and subdue her, but not enough to kill her. No, they wanted her alive, that Greymon and Minotaurmon. Her only plan was to play it by ear, now, as she waited for whomever those other two took orders from.
Elsewhere, the third digimon in this group of Hyldens, deciding to kill two birds with one stone, decided to go at it alone to capture a particular "traitor". It would be a shame to lose such a mind as him, but he was still expendable if he would not comply. The Dokugumon would try to apprehend the traitor, but she would not have any qualms smashing him into data.

M scowled as he stared at a small monitor on a small handheld device. It appeared that they had finally decided to pluck the flower as it were. Yet after a few seconds of thought, his scowl shifted to a smile as an idea entered his head. Perhaps this could prove to be a good thing. He could go ahead and kill two birds with one stone. After all, there was little doubt in his mind that they would be looking for him soon.
Hey what are you thinking about doing?[/color] A voice rang through his head. One that he hadn't heard from in quite a while.
"So it appears that you are awake. And why does it matter to you about what I do." M replied as he began walking.
Well it's my body, so I believe I get a say about it. Pure argued from within his body.
"Is that so?" M said with a small chuckle, "Don't worry I have everything planned out."
I have doubts about that. Have you already forgotten about saving...
"Shut it. Why do care about that stuff anyways? Besides if I don't take care of this now, it'll bite me in the butt later." Pure seemed to have become dormant once again with that. Yet M knew full well that the Terriermon whose body he possessed was still there. Biding his time.

The possessed spider quickly, but not too conspicuously, made her way to the Terriermon without the caution the other two had for capturing Vetina. Perhaps this was because, unlike Vetina, M would not be strong enough to actually put up a fight. Perhaps this was her way of showing her disrespect for her target by purposely not having an actual "plan" for his capture. However, he had their technology, allowing a very good degree of surveillance. Maybe he knew she was coming. She didn't know, she merely had her job to do, and she doubted M could muster any real resistance.
Oh how she did not like that guy. So smug and annoying. Worse than that sister of his.
Near M, there was a rustle, and another rustle, up in the trees. It was getting closer and closer to him, and there was no "stealth" in her movement now. She was merely closing the distance from the trees before she got close enough to jump out, landing some yards in front of her target.
There was a snarl, and a vicious stare from her multiple eyes.
"You're coming with me, Mel. And I oh so hope you try to resist..." It was a voice, although slightly altered, that would be familiar to M. An old... annoyance.

Wait! Your name is Mel. Mel heard Pure's voice ring out in his head, yet to ignore it. He had something of more importance to take care of.
"Sorry. Do I know you?" He said to the Dokugumon after her little spiel. Oh he recognized the voice of course. He just couldn't help rub salt on an old wound. Especially with this woman has been a pain in the neck for as long as he knew her.
It also appeared she had such a low opinion of him that she came here with no attempts at stealth whatsoever. She probably thinks he is incapable of putting up any resistance at all, and perhaps under normal circumstances, he wouldn't. With a confident little smile, he stared her down back. These were definitely not normal circumstances. She had entered his playing field in an attempt to stop him from saving his sister, and she was going to live just long enough to learn that that was not a good idea.

Her clawed hands clenched as she hissed at the Terriermon, all too ready to swat down that annoying Hylden and the body he was in. But she composed herself.
"You're such a prick, Mel. Such typical, aggravating behavior from you. In any case, you are a loose end to be taken care of. You have the chance to return to us, and we'll... forget your little transgressions against us. That equipment you stole can be replaced, and your data on Vetina might prove useful to our plans.
As you may have guessed, though, your resistance will lead to your demise. And as much as I detest you... I have my orders to attempt to take you back.
And, heh heh heh, I'm sure you're not willing to die just to spite me, when your sister's life is hanging in the balance."
The Dokugumon extended one of her open, clawed hands near M. "And before you spout some nonsense about wanting to walk, don't test my patience. So, are you coming with me?"

M looked over at the extended, clawed hand in front of him. "If I didn't know any better, you must not trust me all that much." M said in a joking manner before jumping onto her hand, "Though seeing how I don't have much choice, I guess I'll come with you. Just be careful of all the booby traps I placed around this area. I prefer not to be blown to smithereens because of you carelessness."
You set up booby traps all around here. I don't remember that. Pure said within M's mind with a hint of fear within it.
I did it while you were asleep. Now be quiet. I'm going to need to concentrate if I want this plan to work.
So you do have a plan then. I guess I should have known. Pure mentioned, a little downtrodden that he will apparently not be rid of Mel just yet.
Trust me. Even if they do somehow capture me, your as good as dead when that happens. They don't want anyone knowing we exist, and your to much of a loose end to leave hanging. The words resonated with Pure as he recognized just how much danger they were in. It didn't matter if M was lying or not as he was already at the mercy of these Hylden, and seeing how M interacts with them, they probably aren't very nice people. Ironically the only way he's going to get out of this situation is through the same person who got him in this situation in the first place.

The spider digimon gave a dismissive grunt towards Mel joking about trust. "You and your jokes. You betrayed us once and stole our equipment, and you tick me off. Of course there's no trust."
She took him into his hand, holding him with a firm, but not too tight grip. Mel had mentioned that he had set traps all around the place, this time giving an annoyed sigh. "Whatever." She didn't know whether or not to believe him, but her approach was unimpeded. Perhaps she would not underplay the cunning nature of her captive; he might be lying, he might be telling the truth.
Heading back to the trees, she made her way back to the others, making sure she took the exact path she took getting to M in the first place. Going at a very brisk pace (for a spider digimon that was leaping through trees), the trip itself would take some time, but not too long. At some point, M would be able to sense Vetina, a bit more strongly than before due to her being in a higher level than the last time they met.
A bit more time, and everyone was now together.
"Looks like he decided to come along, haha. Did you have much trouble with him?" The GeoGreymon chuckled, a bit surprised she brought Mel back.
"No. Let's just head back."
"*cough cough* W-wait... "
The greymon looked down at his foot as Vetina had spoke up, wheezing somewhat due to her compressed lungs and injuries.
"What's... your game of my capture?"
"Obviously to allow us Hylden digimon to exit out of our 'home'. Your data has proven interesting. So interesting that, well, instead of just a bit of data, we'll just take the whole thing. You should be happy, you and the original Vetina will be *used* to free a large number of digimon from our prison."
"Maybe... incarceration was justified..."
Just then, the GeoGreymon applied extra pressure onto the LeviaRanamon, causing a pained grunt. "Shut up! Like you know what it's like, Fake. You've no idea..."

While he didn't like being held in the Dakugumon's grip, he did appreciate that she didn't try squeezing his brains out. He knew full well that she was pretty angry at him, so for her to show this much restraint must meant that her bosses prefer her to bring him unharmed. Well, mostly unharmed. Still something that was worth of note.
As he was brought to the group, he saw that they had managed to capture Vetina. Obviously she didn't seem all that thrilled to be here, but it was good seeing how he was gonna need her help. With all the pieces in place, it was time to see if he can't make some magic happen.
"You know. Squeezing her head like that isn't exactly proving your point. I mean come on. Could you act anymore like some kind of prison thug." He pointed out to the GeoGreymon.
Hey. Could you please perhaps not put us in any greater danger? I rather not end up become a squashed rabbit.
Geez your chatty today. Don't worry. I know what I'm doing. M assured Pure as he looked down at Vetina.
"Well. It looks like the end of the line for both of us. I'm going to be trapped in lab for the rest of my life and your gonna be... Perhaps it's best not to think about it." M did his best to shrug, but it proved to be a little difficult given the situation. "Well seeing how this may be the last time we see each other, I think I'll give you one last parting gift. You see... She's the one that well... Y'know." He honestly had no idea if the Dokugumon was really the one that caused the original Vetina's death, but he believed that if he could convince Vetina she was, it would give the strange plant digimon the surge she needed to help fight off these assailants.

The GeoGreymon glared at Mel, and would be laughing had Vetina not essentially insulted him the moment before.
"Some moral arbiter you are. You're in the exact same boat as we are. The only difference is that you managed to convince your pathetic little host to cede control to you."
"Enough!" The GeoGreymon flinched at their "leader's" yell. "Mel and Vetina are ours now, and the sooner I can drop him off the better our days will be."
Mel then made some comment over how this was the end of them, more or less. And he hinted that the Dokugumon was the one who did... something. What was it he was talking about? It took her a few moments, but once she realized what he was talking about, she smirked. She would have laughed if she wasn't being stepped on. Frankly, she didn't believe him. She remembered the vitriol he had when they last spoke about his sister and not actually knowing who was the one who caused the original Vetina to suffer. The fact that he was now simply stating that the Dokugumon was the one who did it with such a casual tone just reeked of "use Vetina to do everything".
"Holder of strings... shut it. *cough* Oddity, not idiocy, I run. And you presume my capitulation."
There was a brief rumble from the ground before a torrent of water swept under everyone's feet, knocking them all down. While pinned to the ground, knowing that there was a stream nearby, Vetina took the time to use her aquakinesis to build up water underneath. She was hoping for a few more minutes, but this amount of water was plenty.
With Vetina free, she used the water to propel herself towards Mel's captor. With her balance compromised, her grip on the Terriermon was loosened enough for her to quickly grab him and move away, putting distance between them.
It was sudden, but the digimon recovered quickly enough, now staring down Vetina and Mel. Granted, Vetina was still visibly injured, and of course Mel was too weak, so the enemies were confident that this little snag would be taken cared of quickly.
"I see... well, this will be considered resistance on your part, Mel! Vetina can't help you now, and once I finish you off I can finish the job with your sister as well!"

Well it seemed that Vetina saw right through his plan. Not that M should be all that surprise by that fact. He did tell her that he didn't know where they were. Did he? That memory is quite fuzzy the more he thinks back to it. No doubt caused by the large amount of alcohol he drank during that time.
At very least Vetina seem fit to rescue him anyways as she used the water underneath them to sweep the three Hylden off their feet. She then quickly use the opportunity to pull him out of the Dokugumon's grip. Why she decided to help him out, he didn't know, but he was grateful all the same? Yet the trio of Hylden's seem to have decided to view this as resistance on Mel's part. With Dokugumon even threatening to finish off his sister.
His sister? So that's the reason for all of this then. Pure thought as he connected all the dots. He had to admit, he shouldn't be all that surprise. He would of probably done the same thing if he was in M's position. Though probably not as smug.
"Oh please. Let's face facts. You had no intention on bringing me back with you to begin with. Even if I haven't done anything to resist you, which technically I still haven't, you would have still killed me claiming I have. Though let me just make this a little easier on you." Mel said to Dokugumon before turning towards Vetina, "You know that thing I was trying to tell you earlier. Y'know about her being... well y'know. Allow me to be a little less tactful. She is a complete and utter b**** who has been a pain in a** for just about every person she meets." Oh sure that wasn't what he originally meant, but that didn't make it any less true.
Hey Mel. Perhaps you shouldn't anger the people who hold the life of your sister in their hand. Pure advised M, afraid of what the group may decide to do to them.
First off, don't call me Mel. Second off, this is none of your business. Third, they were bluffing. If she knew where I hid my sister at, she would have killed her already just to spite me. M informed Pure as he face down the three opponents. No doubt this was going to be tough. Yet he was going to make sure none of them get out of this alive.

Vetina rolled her eyes, setting M-Pure down with an annoyed sigh.
"Oh how did I misconstrue verbal intent, 'Mel'. Certainly your... true words show."
At least by now M would be more used to knowing when Vetina is being sarcastic. She believed his words, at least. Or, more specifically, she could tell that Dokugumon wasn't exactly the nicest person around.
But they weren't out of the woods yet... figuratively, that is. The Dokugumon slowly crept towards the two, followed by her two helpers.
"You and that sister of yours think you know everything. Annoying cretins, you brainiacs are the worst! I am tired of being talked down to, but you and your sister were insufferable!
Oh how I adored beating her face in. A tough girl, to be sure, but as they say, strength in numbers.
Believe me, I intended to follow orders for your capture. But, well... any excuse to go to 'Plan B'. And once you're gone... it doesn't matter if we find Celeste or not. I either kill her, or she becomes a bloated corpse oozing damaged data until until she's merely a stain.
What can a rookie and a wounded digimon do? At least Vetina is still useful... I'll even absorb her data myself if I have to. But you, Mel..."
"Oh... oh your schemes... I see them. Why now my being is up for grabs."
Vetina formed her spear and dagger for battle. Although still wounded, she hoped she could still take these three on. Despite their champion forms, their strength were more closely comparable to an Ultimate's. Even with those odds... her body hurt just thinking about it. She couldn't move like she normally could, and she didn't quite have the strength to hit mega at the moment, but she could still fight.
The GeoGreymon and Minotaurmon both charged at her, both blocked with Vetina's spear as she tried to hold them back, using their momentum to parry them off to the side. And with both weapons, she used her Moon Blade attack to slash at the both of them.
The Dokugumon joined into the fray with a leaping attack, which Vetina deflected by using her Aquakinesis. And as they fought, Vetina was, at the moment, keeping the others busy, leaving M alone.

This isn't good M. There's no way we can win this fight. They're three ultimate level digimon after all. We should leave now while we still can. Pure urged his possessor as he watched the fight start.
Gods. This is probably the first day since I stole your body that you actually spoke to me, and I'm already growing quite annoyed of you. How many times do I have to tell you that I got this handled. M countered as he began drawing on the power of the Digimental of Volition, Yet since your finally awake, I guess it's time to make some use of you. The Terriermon's body then began to glow and change, turning the small rabbit digimon into two different beings. One was a small black crow while the other was a puppet with a bow and arrow.
"What in the... I have a body now? What did you do?" Pure said as he looked at his new humanoid body.
"It's the power of the Digimental of Volition. Think of it as a symbol of our relationship. You being nothing more then a puppet that I control." M explained as he made Pure pull out his bow and lock an arrow on them. "Hey uglies. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!" M called out to the three as he started spewing nonstop, demoralizing insults at them while making Pure shoot an arrow of Darkness in Dokugumon's direction.

The digimon heard Mel's insults, and they all, especially the Dokugumon, went to attack the Nohemon, all of the affected by Caw Caw. Even if they were stronger than the usual champion digimon, they were still in champion digimon bodies. But the Greymon would find himself halted, roaring in pain as is tail was pinned into the ground by Vetina's spear. She also used a few Ice Shurikens to distract the Minotaurmon from going ahead as well.
The Greymon took a few slashes from Vetina's dagger before kicking him in the back of his leg, knocking him down. Her body was aching terribly, even through parrying the Minotaur's next attack and retrieving her spear. At least Mel digivolved, although she had no idea if it was from the egg she helped him get or not (not knowing of the Hylden's inability to digivolve in possessed bodies, normally).
The Dokugumon rose her arms, blocking the arrow as she made her swift approach, madly slashing at the puppet digimon.
"I'll rip you two to shreds! You've no chance!!"

"NO. You have no chance Spidey." M countered as he pulled Pure away from the slashes, while also having the Puppet fire arrow after arrow towards the Dokugumon. While he didn't really have much care for what happens to Pure, he did prefer to keep his puppet functioning for as long as possible. It'd be hard to fight without him after all.
"Uhh... Mel? Could you perhaps not anger her anymore? I rather not become a rabbit stew." Pure asked as he was forced to fire several shadow arrows towards the Dokugumon while M tried to kite her around.
"Shut up if you don't want to become spider food then. I told you that I know what I'm doing. And stop calling me that." M called out to his puppet as he tried his best to focus on flying while his attention was split on having Pure fire the shadow arrows towards Dokugumon. Something that was proving to be pretty difficult.

The spider's approach was fierce, if bull-headed, as she continued forward, blocking the arrows still. More and more she was whittled down, but she was certain they wouldn't escape her. Not that puppet Pure or that maddening Mel. If only they would stop running away! But in her anger, one of the arrows struck one of her legs, causing her to trip and fall, giving the others a few moments.
Vetina was against the tree she was thrown into, with the Minotaurmon charging at her. Barely standing, she didn't move away from the tree. Her idea was obvious, letting the bull hit the tree. And that she did, ducking at the last as one of the horns impaled the trunk. Had he hit a bit harder he would have outright broken the tree, but as is he was momentarily dazed.
Vetina's gamble would not be wasted as she thrust her spear into the chest and used the Spearhead Shot to launch him away from her with a nice sized crater in his upper body. Data from the host and the Hylden started to seep out as he weakly clutched his chest and growled in pain. The GeoGreymon roared, furious at the Ranamon variant.
"You fool! You'll kill the host too!"
"Oh color me apathetic. Moral arbitors are missing in your sight, just a reason to cease attempts of procurement."
