Crystal suddenly woke up in a cold sweat. It was early in the morning and the sun's early rays were beginning to penetrate through the woods trees. She paused for a second to gather her surroundings before sighing with relief.
"It was just a dream." She said to herself as she lied back down again. It was weird. She could hardly remember what she was so afraid of now. The memories of her dreams quickly being flushed to the recesses of her mind. All she could manage to recall was something about her not being herself anymore. Well it didn't matter anymore. It was nothing more then a dream.
She took a second to look at her necklace that she converted into a makeshift bracelet because of it's broken latch. "It won't be much longer now Pure. I promise that I will save you, no matter what." She promised as she looked held her hand up towards the air. She won't allow her brother to suffer from that monster's wraith any longer.

A few days ago Ghost had gotten a mental "call" from Beverly of some... interesting news. Vetina had seen the Hylden they were looking for...
"Yes, I've gotten word from Betty that Vetina spotted that Hylden in Server Woods some hours ago. If seems the other Hylden are after the both of them. This is getting bigger than we've expected.
Vetina also mentioned that one of the attackers knew of you and that Terriermon's sister. And if they know of you, they probably know what happened with us. And since they can't, or currently won't, muster up forces to capture you as well, you have a bit more leeway with what you're already doing.
Vetina also said this... well, paraphrasing, the Hylden that has her brother has his own reasons for doing what he did, and why he has other Hylden after him. Knowing what she knows now, she will no longer actively try to capture him... he is your group's problem. Whatever happens to him, happens. She didn't get any more specific than that, Betty said.
Until you do find out more about him, just point them in the right direction. I'll keep in touch. Don't tell them anything else, it might be too... distracting to tell them this soon, especially when we don't have all the info because Vetina was being vague for some reason.
And do be careful..."
Ghost did as she was told, and now the group was very close to their target. As of now, Ghost was in her champion form, as an attempt to lower her Hylden energy signature.
Her and Sanoske were currently asleep, though. Ghost was briefly woken up hearing Crystal, but she soon drifted off back to sleep.

Crystal looked over at Ghost for a second as she could of swore that she noticed her companion starting to wake up. However it seemed she was mistaken as Ghost seemed to have decided to remain asleep for the time being. The Lopmon sighed. She couldn't help, but feel like Ghost was keeping something from her. She had no idea what it could possibly though. Maybe it was just the stress of the entire situation getting to her. Making her think things that aren't actually true.
Maybe she should get some more rest.
With that thought, she snuggle as close to Sanoske as she could. She should just forget about the situation for now, and drift into the safety of sleep. Yet, despite her attempts, her worried mind would not leave the subject be. Is this the same kind of suspense that a soldier about to go to war feels? She definitely felt like it was right now. After all, fate they could meet in the next few days was completely uncertain. They may be able to save Pure from his kidnapper, or they could all end up dying in vain.
So she just laid there in a sleepless daze. Wondering if perhaps she should just get up now after all.

At some point, Sanoske woke up. Taking a moment to notice that Crystal was against him, he kept relatively still. However, he still yawned and stretched a bit. She looked away anyways, he simply didn't want to disturb her much.
Good... Moorrrning... he growled out, actually speaking this time. It was a simple phrase for him to say with little issue, and it was a spur of the moment decision. But he noticed she looked like she had something on her mind, not that it was hard to figure out what it was. Using his tail, he lightly stroked her... given his size he still had the fairly occasional fear of accidentally smashing her.
^Hmm... maybe we could get some fish.^
It was all he could to try to start a conversation with a different subject that he could think of. And he did have a taste for fish. He certainly couldn't pick berried like the girls could. Boy did he wish he was smaller.

"Good Morning." She responded to the waking Gazimon as he started lightly stroking her with his tail. She wasn't exactly sure what to think about his tail stroking her fur as it did. It was kind of annoying, but kind of sweet and kind of nice at the same time. For Sanoske's sake, she decided to just not say anything about it.
"Fish? Uhh... I guess I could go for some fish too." She said as she thought for a second, "I think there may be a lake close by here. Do you want to see if we can't try to catch something to eat." Her eyes then fell on Ghost sleep, "Perhaps we should wake her first before we leave."

Well, it seems that the tail brushing was an okay alternative to other forms of physical contact. He'll probably do it again some other time.
Garoooo...^I guess I'll work on the fish. ^
Sanoske looked to Ghost, whom had got back up a bit after the others spoke. Standing up, she stretched a bit, brushed herself off, and looked at them.
"I heard fish. I could go for some cod or cat. Catfish I mean. Anything'll do, really.
Boy, I think this is the longest I've ever had to live off the fat of the land, haha. It's a lot different from living in a nightclub, you know?"
^I can imagine so. Let's not waste too much time with breakfast, alright?^
Sanoske would fully get up, and look around. ^Where was that lake again?^[/font][/b]

Well it seem there was no need to wake Ghost after all as she seemed to be have been woken by Crystal and Sanoske's conversation. She seemed to agree with the fish idea though, adding the fact that it's been different having to live off the fat of the land as they do now. This made Crystal wonder how Ghost's life was in that nightclub before they met her. It probably was a pretty cozy life. It kind of made Crystal feel a little bit more guilty about having her come along with them.
"I think I saw one a few minutes back the way we came. If you want, I think I could show you the way." Crystal offered Sanoske when he asked where the lake was. Yet the main reason she offered to take Sanoske to the lake so that they could spend some time alone together. With the future weighting so heavily on her mind now, she saw that this could be the last opportunity she had to spend any time with the one she fell in love with.

^Alright, Crystal... I'll go with you. Maybe some berries nearby as well. Ghost, do you mind getting stuff we could cook with?^
"Alright. You two stick together, keep each other safe."
Ghost had restrained herself from poking fun at their relationship, even if it was just in jest. The two were quite the odd couple, a Lopmon and a large winged Gazimon, but she did kind of have to constantly remind herself not to make a poor joke.
Sanoske didn't make things any easier when he got on all fours and made an illusionary staircase for the Lopmon to get onto his back with. Such service for the one he loves.
Once she got on, Sanoske would head to the lake. And when he got there, he looked into the lake for a few moments before making a net, and using it to carefully sift through the water to catch fish.
^This may sound like a strange question but... do you have any idea how living in a nightclub might be? ^

Crystal quickly climbed up the illusionary staircase that Sanoske had made and got onto his back. She was kind of glad that Ghost had so far not poke fun at her relationship with Sanoske. The Lopmon more then understood how odd it was for outsiders, but that didn't change her feelings for him. He was her large, loveable, demon-looking Gazimon and being with him had brought light to her life during a time when it seemed only darkness truly existed.
As they travel to the lake, she gave directions to him when she thought he would need them, and it wasn't long before they arrive there. She leap off his back so that he could fish while she looked around for any fruit or berries that would go well with their morning meal. It was times like this though that she wished her brother was around. He was always the better at finding and recognizing this type of stuff then she was.
"Huh... Uhh... Not really. I've spent most of my life traveling with a caravan, so we hardly spent much time in a city or town, much less a nightclub. Though I have a feeling that it probably is an easier life then how we are living right now." She told him as she plucked a few edible berries from a nearby bush.
Mel cracked his knuckles as he stood back to look at his handywork. It was almost done. Just a few more calibrations, and he should be able to pull his sister out of the Hylden world with little trouble. There was only one problem. He still needed a body for her to live in. A problem that shouldn't matter much judging from the strong Hylden his sensors have been sensing. It seemed that it won't be long before his guests arrive. To bad his machine probably won't be fully operational by time they reach here.
Good thing he had a back up plan just in case they do.

Well, it was nice to have this normalized conversation with Crystal. Help the time go by and to help Crystal not think so much about Pure. Sanoske's Net was dragged through the water slowly, the Gazimon only paying half attention to that and the rest to Crystal as the net floated about.
^Yeah... probably easier. But it is nice to live with a group in relative safety. With friends... with someone you love. I do not think quality of life is such a big aspect to consider if someone you are very close with is there helping you out. I would rather live like this with you than anywhere easier.^
The net was hoisted out the water with a decent number of fish, and was brought over to Sanoske.
^You think this will be enough, Crystal?^

"Yeah. Me too." Crystal happily replied to Sanoske's claim that he rather live like this with her than anywhere else. It warmed the Lopmon's heart to hear Sanoske say that. To know that he was willing to forgo an easy life just to be with her, she didn't believe there was any one better she could have fallen for then Sanoske.
After that small bit of fluff, Sanoske hoisted the net to reveal that it caught a decent number of fish. Crystal paused for a second to look at the amount of fish he had caught. "Yeah. I think that should do for fish for now. Just give me a second to finish picking berries and we could look at heading back." She told Sanoske as she returned back to picking berries. Berry roasted fish were starting to sound more and more appetizing by the moment.
A minute or two later, she turned back around with her arms full of berries she had picked. "All done" She told Sanoske before looking at her haul with a small frown, "I think I may have gone a little over board. Do you think you could help me out with this sweety?"

Sanoske patiently waited for Crystal to finish off her berry picking. Such a nice girl. Considerate too. The first digimon he knew to had any real concern for him.
But he had to keep his mind in the present. Still, seeing her come in with more berries than she could deal with prompted a warm chuckle from the large digimon.
^Of course I can help you with that, Crystal. Just drop them in the basket and I'll handle the rest.^
As he spoke, said basket was beginning to form, and once he finished, it was fully realized. Once Crystal put the berries in, he would give her an affirmative nod before carrying everything. He got on all fours and, like before, made a staircase for her to get on him. ----
Back at the camp, Ghost had gotten the firewood and fire set up. While she wasn't quite used herself to being out like this for this length of time, as Beverly's familiar, she has her old memories of her Mistress' previous life. And prior to her getting Caritas Beverly and Garm had to go through situations similar to this.
She wondered, though, how much of Byakko's memories did Sanoske had. But this was more out of curiosity than anything.

She gave him a small, appreciative nod as she dropped the berries in the illusionary basket. Crystal had to admit that Sanoske's power have been proving to be quite useful. It made her wish she had something that was anywhere near as useful. That way she could at least try to repay Ghost and Sanoske for how much they have helped her.
With that thought, she climbed up the familiar staircase to Sanoske's back and sat down. "I wish we could stay here together for a little longer, but we really shouldn't keep Ghost waiting. Plus sooner we eat, the sooner we can rescue Pure." She said with a mixture of disappointment and enthusiasm in her voice.

Sanoske growled in agreement, also knowing that they shouldn't keep Ghost waiting. As soon as Crystal got comfortable, the Gazimon began to walk back. However, halfway through the short trek, Sanoske began to talk again.
^After we take care of this Hylden issue... freeing your brother and ensuring he's safe and sound, what plans do you have?
I am sure you would at least want to spend some time with him, and I wouldn't want to impose. But after that... I was thinking me and you should... I do not know... do something special. Maybe visit a nice area and relax.
Of course, we could include your brother if you wish. I would not want him to feel left out. I mean... if he is okay with us being together, that is. Oh my, I would have to tell him; how would he even react?^

Crystal giggled a little as Sanoske wonders how Pure would even react about them. "I don't know. I think he might first say something along the lines of 'How dare you try to use my sister for your own ends bread thief?' Then realize what he just said before backing out of fear of what you may do to him.
"You know. I haven't really spent much time to think what would happen after we rescue Pure. It would be nice to go somewhere, just the two of us. Perhaps could go back to Whitewater and relax on the beach or go to Ghost's nightclub or something like that. It could even work as a distraction for Pure while we have some alone time." She then paused as a frown approached her face.
"Sanoske? Aren't you worry about what would happen when we face this Hylden? What could happen if we fail?" She asked in a depressed tone that betrayed how long this question truly bothered her.
