Crystal seemed completely defeated and downtrodden when they came to a stop. She just couldn't believe that they were forced to abandon her brother for a second time. What kind of sister was she leaving her brother to that monster yet again? Could she really call herself his sister anymore?
Right now, all Crystal wanted to do was lie down and cry. Just cry for as long as she could just like the first time they went through this. Yet she couldn't. She just couldn't. She didn't deserve to cry anymore. Not when Pure was probably in more pain then she was. Not when she still had a chance to save him.
"If only we could take that gun from him." She said under her breath as she gathered herself. An idea beginning to form in her head.

^Yes... the direct approach will not help us, it seems. Not without someone getting hurt. Ghost, how long do you need to rest?^
"I don't know... that beam really messed me up. A few seconds longer and... I wouldn't have enough strength to maintain my digimon forms. Then I'd be totally useless.
For what it's worth... thanks Sanoske..."
Sanoske nodded, then looked to Crystal. It looked like she was holding up, barely... she took the retreat better than she imagined.
^Crystal... do you have any plans on how we can get that gun away from him?^
"Yeah. That hylden inside Pure isn't nearly as strong as me at my best. And I need my best to quickly get him out before he does anything."

"No. I don't have any real ideas yet." Crystal shared with the pair before looking over at Ghost in her weaken state, "I hate to say it, but perhaps we should eat something first. None of us are exactly in top form right now, and having some breakfast could help that out. Plus it will give us the time we need to come up with a proper plan."
Crystal paused as she turned towards the direction the town was in. "Judging from how cocky he acted, I get the feeling that he's not going to leave any time soon. He thinks we can't do anything to harm him. That's the advantage we have. Now if only we have some idea about what exactly he is doing in that building he is holding himself up in."

Garrrooo...^I guess we could think up a plan as we eat.^
As he had done before, he got on all fours and made preparations to allow not only Crystal onto his back, but Ghost as well. As he did so, Ghost also commented on Crystal mentioning wanting to know what he was doing inside.
"I wish Mistress was here. My ethereal form has no Hylden signature for him to sense, but it's harder to get out of it if she's so far away. Otherwise I could spy on him without him knowing.
I'm starting to question whether or not I can help as much as I wanted..."
^Let us not worry about that. We just need to be more careful in this delicate situation.^
Ghost nodded, and got onto Sanoske's back. Once Crystal was on as well, he would take the girls to their campsite, where they would finish preparing the food they had, in their haste, just left behind. Of course, Pure's captor could probably sense Ghost, but he knew they were around anyway, so hiding wouldn't be of any use.

Crystal climbed onto Sanoske's back shortly after Ghost had. Once they both were on, Sanoske had began to take them to the direction where Crystal believed the campsite was at. It was kind of hard for her to tell. She didn't really get much of a chance to get the lay of the land when she was holding onto his side for dear life.
They eventually made it back to the campsite. During their time away, it appeared the fire that Ghost had started was beginning to die out. They're going to have to look at feeding it some fuel, but that should take little work.
"Hey Sanoske. I'm getting off now, so please don't run off without me this time, okay?" She asked him as she got off. The last thing she wanted to do right now was hang off of Sanoske's side as he ran at top speed again.

Once they got to the campfire, which was dying out, Ghost jumped off. However, she kneeled upon reaching the ground and took a moment to get back up. Her body was still as weary as it was right after getting hit with the beam. She hoped that she could recover relatively quickly. At least fast enough to help them with whatever plan they had. She took a few steps before sitting down again, in thought.
Meanwhile, Sanoske gave an embarrassed groan, almost like a rebuked dog. ^Yes madam...^. Despite his use of "madam", he was not at all being funny or sarcastic. He had seriously referred to Crystal as madam.
Seeing that the fire was dying out, as well as Ghost needing her rest, Sanoske looked to the Lopmon. ^May you retrieve some kindle? I am afraid of smothering the fire.^

Crystal was taken back by Sanoske calling her 'madam' the way he did. She didn't mean to cause him to rebuke like that. She just didn't want to end up in the same situation she faced when Ghost first ran off. What can she do to know that she isn't angry at him?
"Uhh... Yeah. Of course." She replied as she went to pick up some sticks and other things they could use to kindle the fire. Once she believed she collected enough, she used them to revive the fire to it's past glory. "It's hard to believe how early it still is. A lot has happened already today, and who knows how what else the day will hold."
Crystal gave a small sigh as she turned towards where they left the berries and fish at. "Sanoske. Could you hand me some of the fish and berries? I'll see about cooking them up for all of us. Unless you want to do it?" She said the final part with sincerity, not knowing if Sanoske would want to actually cook his own fish or not.

Sanoske gently scooped up some of the fish and berries into his paw and handed them to Crystal. He agreed that a lot happened despite it still being morning. And there would be more to come. Hopefully, they would have Pure back by the day's end.
^Indeed, much has happened.
Crystal... I must admit, I find your handling of matters quite... amazing. That is good... we will get him back soon. Hopefully we can use his hubris against him."
The Gazimon laid down, taking a quick glance at Ghost. She was still hiding who this source was that gave her the information, but at this point there was no reason to ask her again. She was set in not telling them anything as it would complicate matters. How so, Sanoske and Crystal didn't know. But if it was truly important, she would tell them, right? Ghost had been aiding them all this time, and Vetina had led them to her.
No... he had to put some faith in their ally. At the moment it was all they could do, and there was no real reason for them to be so distrusting of her. He hoped.

"To be honest. It's taking everything I can muster to maintain what little cool I have left." Crystal told Sanoske as she took the fish and berries from him. With the food at hand, she set the berries aside as she began to carefully prepped the fish by skewering them with the extra sticks she collect. She then set them close to the fire so that properly cook. Taking the time to occasionally marinade them with the berries she collect that should hopefully help bring out the fishes flavor.
While waiting for the food to cook, she took a curious glance over at Ghost. Who was this source Ghost has? If whoever it was was able to get info on where Pure's body snatcher was, then that probably meant they could know something more about who he is? Something they could use against them? Yet who could it be?
Crystal growled in frustration as she nearly ended up burning one of the fish because she was so stuck in thought about this. Seeing that some of the fish were ready to eat, she picked up the sticks holding them and prepped the next batch. Once she was sure they were all set up, she went over to the others and handed them each a portion of what she had already cooked. As she handed Sanoske his, she asked in a low whisper, "Do you have any idea who Ghost's source could be?"

Seeing Crys burn the fish on accident, he could tell she was mentally preoccupied. But, he had to admit, watching her prepare the fish was also a bit distracting, as he so wanted to eat, now. It didn't help that he was considerably weaker when he was hungry. That was part of the reason he went down fighting Lilly so quickly.
Once he got some fish, though, Crystal asked him if he had any idea who Ghost's source was. He merely shook his head (unsure if he could answer low enough for Ghost not to hear him). Still, he wanted to discuss this with his Lopmon love but at the same time hated to talk behind Ghost's back.
Just who would be the source that would make knowing his or her identity complicate things? It would have to be someone close as well...

Crystal nodded as she sat down besides him. She knew he wouldn't have a clue, but decided to ask anyways. So as she took a bite out of her own fish, she began going over what they knew in a low voice. "It has to be someone who Ghost trust? Someone who knows of our plight, and wants to help us? Someone, who if we figure it out, could complicate matters? That means we probably..."
Realization struck the Lopmon as she said that last part. "No. It couldn't be." She said in shock as the cogs in her head moved. There was only person who fit all three of those criteria. She then looked at the other two as she stood up, "I should uhh... I should check the fish." She said nervously as she went back over to the fire where the fish was cooking.
So she was able to find Pure's captor before we did. I guess I shouldn't be surprise. We did take our time getting over here. At least she ended up deciding not to kill him, but I wonder why. She seemed so anxious to when we last met. And why would us knowing she found Pure complicate matters. Furthermore should I even confront Ghost with this knowledge. Is there something I'm missing here? Something important? She wouldn't keep this away from us just on a whim. Think Crystal, think. Pure's life might be at stake about it.

Ghost merely sat and ate her fish, off in her own little world. She was also contemplating speaking to Beverly about her failure. Unknown to the others, Beverly knew of Ghost being hit with the Hylden beam. Beverly and Ghost were essentially two halves, now, and one feeling a sudden drop of energy of the other would cause some alarm.
So far all Beverly got was Ghost telling her that she was fine, she was okay, not to worry... they didn't need Beverly here. No, Ghost would suffice. But a part of her did miss her...
As Ghost was thinking, Crystal had spoke to Sanoske as she tried to figure out who this source was. He diligently followed her line of questioning, hoping he could help in some way. But it seems she might have figured it out. Crystal standing up jolted Ghost from her daze, curious as to what was up.
"Hey, Crystal... anything the matter?"
Meanwhile, Sanoske, although needing a bit more time, eventually came to the same conclusion Crystal did. He thought about her questions and, there indeed was only one person that would fit all those. But for the time, he remained silent. Additional questions began to come in. Was this something bigger than just the Hylden in Pure's body?

Crystal froze for a second as Ghost asked her if somethings the matter. She should have expected Ghost to know something was off. Crystal wasn't exactly the best at hiding things. Though now is the time to decide to ask her about it, or to let it go.
"No. Nothing is..." Crystal stopped mid-sentence as she decided to ask something, "Hey Ghost. Is there any chance you can get in contact with this contact of yours? Any info they have on the person who took Pure could prove useful?"

Ghost gave a tired sigh when she was, once more, asked about the contact. She wasn't asked who it was, no, but the fewer questions relating to the source, the better.
"Well, I didn't directly talk to my source, so it'll be hard to talk to my source right off. In any case, as I said before, my source wasn't exactly spilling all the beans. If you're getting to me telling you who my source is, I'll tell you once we get Pure back. I have questions for my source as well but right now, all I was certain of was the relative location of his whereabouts.
I'm really sorry for keeping you in the dark, but me and Mistress were kept in the dark as well. So Mistress told me not to tell you too much because we don't have all the information ourselves."
^I understand. Your Mistress did not get all the info, so you truly are not prepared to answer our questions because you will know that it will bring up more questions...^
Sanoske looked to Crystal. ^You know... for Ghost's sake, let us not press the issue any farther for now. No matter what, we will not get the full story until we get Pure back.^

Crystal gave an understanding nod once both Ghost and Sanoske had said there piece. "I'm sorry Ghost. I shouldn't have known better then to ask that in the first place." She apologized before returning her attention back to cooking the fish.
With Vetina proving to be a dead end, Crystal found herself having to think of a different idea on how they could defeat the Hylden inside of Pure. They just needed to somehow get their hands on that gun of his. While Crystal was wanted to avoid harming Pure, she was beginning to think there may not be another way. Except maybe, just maybe.
"Hey honey. What are the limits to the illusions you can make? Like could you possibly make an illusionary copy of me?" She asked Sanoske as the gears in her head began turning again.
