Salla was just dropped off by Betty. Now she was walking through Fragment Village while carrying Artemis in her arms. She would move faster knowing that the Bakemon holding her captive prior to her arrival would be on their way, but she didn't want to attract too much attention, although she did earn some glances from the locals. Whether it was because of her being human or Artemis just didn't fit in here, she didn't know.
All she knew is that she had to leave the Dark Area, or she wouldn't get any closer to finding her brother or getting home. As she walked, she looked all around for possible ways to the mainland. Some of the inhabitants of the village appeared to be able to fly. Salla sighed. "At least this is better than being in the Grotto of Sorrow," she stated. "I can't argue with you there, even if the Digimon here give us the cold shoulder at all," Artemis agreed.

Scout...has no idea how he came to be in this place. He'd been on his way to the Digital World. He can remember that much, at least...but not how he ended up...wherever this is. The teen sits up, slowly, and then stands, wiping any dust or dirt off himself, and checking to make sure everything's still there.
Snacks. Water. Headphones. Cellphone. Money. Tablet.
All seems to be where he left it, in his backpack. As does the black and green D-Scanner on his belt. Okay. That's good, breathe. He starts to walk, getting a number of odd looks as he does so, from the natives. He keeps that cheerful smile in place, in case he needs to speak to th--
Oh, is that...a human girl?
A few years older than him, sure, but.
He starts to jog over, "Hello?"

Salla stopped in her tracks and turned her head to see a boy younger than her approaching. Another human was a sight Salla welcomed. "Hey," she responded. I'll admit, I didn't expect to run into another human so quickly, she thought. "What brings you to the Dark Area?" she asked. "Shouldn't we be asking him how to get to the mainland?" Artemis asked. "I'll get to that," Salla chided.

"'The Dark Area'?" the boy shudders a little, but his infectiously cheerful smile quickly returns, "Sorry. I have no idea. I was trying to come to the Digital World...do a little exploring around one of the towns? But I woke up here, instead,"
He pulls his D-Scanner from his belt and examines it. Partially to make sure it isn't damaged (breathing a sigh of relief as he discovers it isn't), and partially to see if it has any information on the area. It's never offered information on an area before, but it's worth a ch--no, nothing. Worth a try.
"...Mainland? I...where are we? There's no way back to the human world from here?" He sounds panicked. Momentarily. And then...right back to smiling, "Sorry. Manners. I'm Scout! Scout Evans," he sticks a hand out to shake.

"I'm Salla, Salla Ozuka," Salla replied as she shook Scout's hand. "We're in Fragment Village. There should be a way back home in Terminus if we can get back to the mainland," Artemis explained. "Seeing as how neither of us know our way around, why don't we look for a way to the mainland together?," Salla offered. They couldn't just stand there. There's no telling when those Bakemon would find out she escaped. For all Salla knew, they already did.

"Oh, hm. I didn't think I'd be gone more than a few hours," Problematic! What'll his family think happened? He knew he should've come clean about it all with them.
This girl has a Digimon with her, though...a friend? Oh. He's seen a few humans with Digimon partners. Trainers? Tamers? Something like that. Weird. He doesn't recognize the Digimon in question, but scanning it so openly might be rude.
Hm. Traveling with her, though? "That makes sense to me! It's always nice to have company, anyway," Evidently, Scout never stops smiling. Ever.

Garm had to admit, he felt bad about the implications he inadvertently gave to Beverly about him deciding to visit this place. How he had to tell her that he wasn't going to move here or that he wasn't convinced that he belonged here. He merely wanted to visit the place. And maybe, just maybe, feel some relief from his own form.
The MutantGaomon wasn't particularly concerned over his appearance usually. But every now and then the knowledge of how he was mutated by a Hylden digimon just bothers him. Despite being used to it by now, he sometimes wished he could be normal again.
Garm had walked through the village, more curious than anything, and even spotted a couple humans chatting about. Unlike them, however, Garm was looked at in a more favorable light. Perhaps these other digimon just had an eye for seeing which digimon were normal and which weren't. Some had, earlier, even tried to get him to talk about him staying here, which he always respectfully denied.
He fully intended to leave the humans to their devices, however, as he walked by them.

"This village sure has some strange Digimon," Salla stated as she watched some sort of spider dog man walked by. "You're still new to Digimon. You think they all look strange," Artemis pointed out, though silently agreeing with her tamer. Some had one of their limbs partially or completely replaced with a robotic appendage or other deformities. "Good point. Let's just find a boat or something," Salla stated before she started walking again. "I'm Artemis, by the way," Artemis told Scout.
A figure watched the Tamer and Spirit Wielder through violet eyes. Most of her features were hidden by her ninja garb. The only things that were showing were her white paws, black-tipped blue ears, and her fluffy white-tipped blue tail. Her gaze then shifted to the mutant Gaomon. Wait... Is that... "Garm?"

Oh, right. Boats exist!
"Nice to meet you both!" Scout smiles as Artemis introduces herself, at last! Artemis...mon? Don't they all end in...? Huh.
It's the environment that's creepy, for him, rather than the Digimon. As one of those 'accepting' types, he hadn't really had a problem with Digimon looking different in the first place, it was mostly the fact that there was an entire other dimension that had freaked him out!
"They're no stranger than we are, they just look a little different,"
Stop. Smiling. Jeez.
Scout starts to follow along after Salla, occasionally offering one of the nearby Digimon a wave, smiling whether they returned the gesture or not.

Garm stopped when he heard his name uttered, looking around. He figured it was probably just something he heard mistakenly for a moment before setting his eyes upon a ninja Renamon of sorts.
Well, given what he s now, if someone did know him, he certainly did stand out. He recognized the digimon as well, although not her name. Given that he worked in a night club one would have to have a keen eye (or four) to spot digimon, be they a trouble maker or a regular patron.
She was neither, though. The Renamon was a temp worker at Caritas. Beverly had no spots for a more permanent role (having herself, Garm, Sinclair, Saibot, and Fishy working there), but Bev doesn't mind some temp employees.
He walked over to her as soon as he had recognized her. Garm may have usually been quiet, but he was far from shy. "You seem to be doing fine..."

"The only Digimon I'm used to seeing is Artemis and Bakemon, but that's only because I was held captive by several Bakemon," Salla replied. "Yeah, being held captive in the Grotto of Sorrow was... well it was depressing," Artemis agreed. "They'll figure out that we're gone soon if they haven't already, so we'd better be on the look out for any groups of Bakemon," Salla warned.
Thanks to the blue Renamon's sharper hearing, she was able to overhear what Salla and Artemis were saying. Imprisoned by Bakemon? I think I just found my next employer, she thought. "I heard Whitewater got attacked. How are things over at Caritas?" she asked.

Garm answered the Blue Renamon, a smidgen surprised that she asked about Caritas. But he didn't show it, nor was the surprise lasting anything more than a moment.
"Caritas got waterlogged. There's that and some property damage, but the building itself is fine. Beverly had also used it as a shelter."
The Gaomon glanced over at the others, then back at the fox-ninja. He wanted to ask her something... under normal circumstance he wouldn't have bothered, but given their current location and his own reasonings, he spoke up.
"If I may ask, what brings you here?"

"I see..."the Renamon mused. Then Garm asked what she was doing in Fragment Village. "Just looking for a job. I've already got an ad in Terminus. Right now I'm using Korra as my handle," she answered. She then looked in Salla's direction. "And from the sound of things over there, I think I found my next employer," she stated. "Who knows? Playing bodyguard to a Tamer might be a nice change of pace."

Another job, huh? He should have known. She seemed to be that type of digimon, just doing odd jobs... although he didn't want to be too presumptuous.
"That's if they hire you..."
He didn't say it in a tone that would show disrespect. Garm wasn't that kind of digimon. But she was used to this work so, of course, if she was certain she would get a job, then more than likely she would get one.
"But if they do, good luck on your travels, Korra.

"I'll just have to make sure to leave a good first impression seeing as how they're likely to run into trouble," Korra stated. She was used to far more unsavory tasks, but this would definitely be the best thing she's done since working as a waitress at Caritas. She did have to buy a Holosuit for that to make the customers feel more comfortable, which she resold later. "To be honest, I'm getting kind of tired sneaking around all the time, but unfortunately it seems to be what I'm be at," she admitted. "At any rate, I suspect I'll end up at Caritas soon for one reason or another," she told Garm as she watched Salla and co make a turn, leaving her line of sight.
She then perked her ears up as she heard what sounded like conversation. "Great, first we lose that Stingmon, and now the girl. Chaos Gallantmon will have our heads if our boss doesn't take them first." "You're telling me. I was the one who was guarding that Stingmon." Korra stood up and stretched. "Sounds like it'll be show time soon. Do you want to join me?" she asked.
