"Stealth is nothing to be scoffed at, but I understand."
It was a bit odd to hear a ninja talk about being tired of being stealthy, and hopefully she won't push the skill aside.
"Well, you're always welcome back at Caritas, Korra... hm?"
The blue Renamon's ears perked up, seeming to be listening into some conversation. Garm's hearing wasn't as good, and only caught part of it. Sounds like there was some fighting coming up, and Korra invited Garm to join her. Garm's reply was simply...
"I'll join you"

Soon, Korra caught sight of 4 Bakemon. The first two appeared unharmed, but the fourth had a bump on his head. The third on the other hand seemed to have gotten into... poison ivy? Korra couldn't help but utter a chuckle. She had to give the person who came up with that credit. Out of everyone there, they decided to float up to Korra and Garm. "You haven't seen a blue haired girl run by here, have you?" the one with a bump on his head asked. "Unless you mean me, no I haven't," Korra lied. "Thanks anyway," the same Bakemon replied before he and his comrades floated off.
Korra remained silent until they passed the turn Salla had taken earlier. "Well that should buy us enough time to reach that Tamer before they do," she finally said, breaking the silence. "We can catch up to them using the rooftops," She suggested as she got up from her seat. She walked into a nearby alleyway, and began jumping from wall to wall until she reached the rooftops.

Garm also lied for Salla, shaking his head and watching the ghost digimon go by. But the one with poison ivy... indeed, that scent was unmistakable.
Korra took the chance to follow Salla, and Garm followed the blue Renamon, climbing up the wall slightly, almost like a spider, before performing one large leap onto the same rooftop his cohort was on.
"I recognize the scent of the one inflicted with poison ivy. For whatever reason they're looking for that tamer, it seems a certain Palmon I know is also involved..."

"Huh. Small world," Korra commented. "Well at least we can be a little more sure that we're doing the right thing," she pointed out before breaking into a run and jumping to the next roof. She repeated this thrice, finding herself at the corner Salla and co turned at. Looking down the street below, she caught sight of the bluenette Tamer again. Jumping from roof to roof, Korra followed, not getting close enough to attract her attention, but still close enough to jump in when she needed to.

"Hm... perhaps..."
Garm had to admit, he didn't know Vetina too well. Their meetings were never much beyond being in the same room at the same time, and most of Vetina's exploits he knew about second-hand. Still, he knew the gist of Vetina's weirdness, and wasn't altogether sure Vetina was on the "right" side of things.
Still, four Bakemon looking for a human girl didn't seem "just" either.
Garm followed Korra still, so much so he wasn't really following Salla. He was larger than Korra and needed to keep out of sight more than the Renamon. But the MutantGaomon was no slouch in speed.
It seemed almost sad... for the Bakemon, that is. They weren't any chance for the 4 ghosts... he wondered, though, if there was anyone else searching with them nearby. Even without Garm, he knew that some of the villagers here weren't going to just let a few digimon cause trouble.

Since Salla and co were walking, Korra and Garm didn't have to go very fast to keep up. As a matter of fact, Korra slowed her pace to conserve energy.
"Yeah, it definitely wasn't easy to escape, but to be fair, Ventina might've held back," Salla told Scout. She then stopped dead in her tracks as she spotted four Bakemon up ahead, all of which she recognized. "Scout, we need to go now," she warned in a hushed whisper. The one in the back was the Bakemon she dubbed Casper in her days of captivity. Another was suffering from the effects of some poison ivy, Ventina's handy work. Then the Bakemon took notice of them. Unknown to the other three, Casper backed away slowly while they advanced. Artemis hopped out of Salla's arms.
"You and Scout go on ahead, I'll catch up," she told them. "Dark Burst!" Artemis shot an orb of dark energy out of her mouth. The center Bakemon swatted the attack aside. Why couldn't they have feet? Artemis wondered ruefully. She attempted this two more times, but was met with the same result. Her attack was too weak. "Dark Claw!" Artemis found herself swatted aside by decaying hand, much like her attacks. She laid on her side. "Artemis!" That's when it happened. Artemis began glowing. "Moonmon Digivolve to... Lunamon!" The new Rookie got to her feet with a little trouble due to not having feet before.
Before she could retaliate, crystal shards rained down on the trio of Bakemon. That's when Korra jumped down from a rooftop. "I suggest you listen to your Digimon and head to the Trailmon station just West of here. This could get ugly," she warned. Salla gave a reluctant nod before taking Scout's hand and running off with him, not knowing he was a Spirit Wielder.

The Bakemon spotted the others. While Korra took care of the main group, Garm couldn't help but to notice one of them slinking off. A coward, perhaps? Given Garm's speed and knowledge of Korra's basic abilities, as well as not wanting some lone ghost trying to warn someone else, the MutantGaomon went for Casper.
Before he would know it, the kind ghost would see Garm land in front of him.
"What business do you have with them and Vetina? And do not try to run off. I'm far faster than you are... "
While not in an aggressive stance, Garm's voice was commanding. He had no time for games and hoped Casper would quickly tell him what was going on.

"I sent a mission request out to Terminus asking for the rescue of that Tamer and her Digimon from the Grotto of Sorrow. I'm guessing Ventina is the name of the Palmon that came to their rescue. Either way, I can't be seen helping them, so I have to sit this fight out," Casper told Garm quietly, looking over his shoulder to make sure the others didn't notice them. "It's the coward's way out, sure, but I don't stand a ghost of a chance otherwise."
With a flick of her wrists, Korra was wielding a pair of crystals made to work like kunai knives. "Dark Claw!" the blotchy Bakemon extended a decaying hand in the hopes of scratching Korra, but the ninja fox spun out of the way, slicing the hand with her crystal knives as it came past. "A ninja. It had to be a ninja," one of the other Bakemon grumbled. Meanwhile, Artemis faced off with her attacker. An orb of water formed in her hand. "Lunar Tear!" The thrown orb of water was superior to the dark energy blast she fired before.
Instead of deflecting it as he had done with the previous attack, the lead Bakemon braced himself. The attack didn't seem to do much, but it was at least more effective than what her In-Training form could muster. "Poison Breath!" the lead Bakemon spewed poisonous gas from his mouth. Artemis was forced to cover her mouth.

Garm had decided to believe Casper... somewhat. There was no time to contemplate whether he was truthful or not, so he had to leave it at that.
"Hide, but don't go anywhere. I'm fairly certain the others would like to know what is going on."
Turning around, he walked to the others fighting. If he learned anything from Beverly... besides have a hobby, it was to not totally showboat in some circumstances. He would aid Korra and Artemis, but he would not completely fight their battle for them.
"Korra! Point out which one you would like taken care of. Or two if you wish it." There was little of what any would call "ego" in his tone. It was stern and almost plain, his tone. Of course, if they wanted him to take care of all three, he would do so.

Casper nodded, taking cover behind a nearby house. The bystanders watched, some unsure who to lend a hand to, others out of amusement. The poisonous purple smoke made it difficult for anyone to see, save for Garm. Using the smoke to her favor, Korra made her next move. "This one!" she told Garm as she threw her knives at Bakemon 3, the only one that hadn't been attacked. The Bakemon was unable to see them coming, the first grazing his left arm, and the other impaling his right shoulder. She had a few more tricks up her sleeve.
Next it was time to try one of her favorite movie stunts. She ran part way up a nearby wall before jumping off and into the air. "Diamond Storm!" Korra summoned a cloud of crystals which rained down on the Bakemon she and Artemis had been fighting. "Dark Claw!" Bakemon 1 tried to strike Artemis, but Korra pulled her out of the way. Following Korra's lead, Artemis conjured a scythe made out of ice. "Crescent Moon!" she cut the hand on its return trip with her scythe.

Unaffected by the poison gas effect, Garm spotted the Bakemon Korra had pointed out to him. After Korra was done with her attack, Garm ran in front of Bakemon 3 with blinding speed, and punched him in the face. The MutantGaomon would at least pull his punches, as it probably wasn't necessary to "kill" any of them. But knocking him out was fine.
Two down, two to go. Perhaps the other Bakemon would see how pointless it was to continue their attack. Although if they do continue, they were either stupid, or not in a position to give up.

With one Bakemon out cold and another hiding, this fight was quickly becoming one-sided. Then Korra did something a bit unexpected. She began chanting while making hand signs. Her signs were quick enough that Artemis couldn't make them out. Unfortunately this left her vulnerable, but at least the smoke obscured the Bakemon's vision as well as theirs. "Dark Claw!" Artemis watched as one of the Bakemon tried stop Korra, but narrowly missed. A second arm came at Korra. This time Artemis stepped in and sliced it, causing it to retreat.
Once Korra was finished, she place her hands on the ground. "Wooden Snare!" Tendril like trees suddenly erupted from ground, wrapping themselves around the Bakemon. It would be so easy to finish them all off, but they had other places to be. "That should hold them long enough. Let's go," Korra told them before taking off in the direction Salla had gone in. Artemis began following close behind.

Korra restrained the remaining foes, but there was no guarantee that they would remain as such for long. Her and the others went one way, but Garm still had that other Bakemon to tend to. It might be for his own good, as they might find Casper and not be too pleased with his lack of aid during the fight. Of course, that was just assumptions, but he should still be watched.
"I'll meet back up with you in a short while." The MutantGaomon went off in another direction to meet back up with Casper.

Korra nodded in acknowledgement before grabbing Artemis by the arm and draping her across her back. Before Artemis could object, Korra took off, leaving the two conscious Bakemon struggling to free themselves.
Meanwhile, Casper was thinking about what to do. I could just join Artemis in battle, but then they'll know I'm a traitor. I could leave to fetch back up knowing full well they'll never get here in time and save my own hide, but then I might be leaving them condemned. If I do nothing, then I may as well be dead, he thought. Having ruled out all but one option, he came to a conclusion. There was only one way where everyone could possibly get out alive.

It wouldn't take long for Garm to sniff out Casper. Thankfully he didn't go to far. The Gaomon felt he would have found him anyway if he tried to run, but he might just be a good ghost.
If probably a bit troubled, looking at the Bakemon in thought, distressed about his current position.
"One of them is knocked out, the other two were restrained, but possibly freed now.
What is your plan? But let's not waste time, I do not want to endanger Korra and the others. "
