Rest Stop: Figuring Things to Come (Sanoske/invite)

It took a few days, but Crystal and the gang have finally found themselves at Lily's restaurant. Fortunately, Mel seemed to have made no reappearances, yet that didn't mean that Crystal was off guard. She still kept a careful eye on her brother in case his possessor decides to surface once more. She even has gotten into the habit of zapping his brother with the anti-hylden ray gun at night while he's sleeping just in case. She didn't want to take any chances of her brother losing his body once again.
Other then that though, it's been nice to be with her brother once again. They spoke about many things about their separate journeys while they traveled. Pure and his experiences with the Hylden, and Crystal and her travels to save him. Of the many things they spoke about though, Crystal still kept her relationship with Sanoske a secret. It was something she felt Sanoske should share with Pure himself (and probably when he is otherwise distracted by food.) She had even kept her regained memories to herself just in case she needed to distract Pure about something else when Sanoske does finally tell him.
"Well we're finally here. It seems like a nice day today, so perhaps we should all get a seat outside?" Crystal said as they arrived. It being a nice day wasn't the only reason why she wanted to stay outside though. Sanoske had grown quite a bit since they were last here, and it was only now that she truly realized by how much. He couldn't even fit in the restaurant if he tried.

The past several days was kind of odd for Sanoske. With Pure back, Crystal had, although greatly enjoyed his returned, still was on guard in case the Hylden, apparently called Mel, had decided to resurface. He even saw her zap her brother with the gun while he was asleep. He should perhaps talk to her about that... at least not waste whatever ammo or energy or what not it runs on.
Even with a trading of stories, Crystal left out her recollection of her past as well as their relationship. Sanoske already still settled on telling him at Lilly's place, perhaps while he's eating.
And afterwards he can more outwardly show his affections towards the Lopmon.
Once there, the Gazimon sat down. Far bigger than he was before, he wasn't going to squeeze in through the door.
^Well, at least I do not need to eat as much as a digimon my size would need. I guess that is a plus...^
There were a few other digimon outside, but most were in the mobile restaurant. Perhaps unseen by the others, a red goo digimon had peered outside from a window and ran out, rushing to the trio. This ooze digimon with a head faintly reminiscent of an Agumon's spoke excitedly through a speaker he held in his hand.
"OH GOSH OH GOSH OH GOSH, IT'S YOU! IT'S ACTUALLY YOU! Well... technically a projection but still... wow! You're bigger than I was told!"
^Do not by any circumstances continue that line of thought around me...^ ...gaaarrrrooooll...^Just change the subject...^
The Gazimon did not like what this conversation was going. He figured he was somehow related with the workers here, given that only Ghost, Beverly, and the workers knew where he originated from.
Respectfully, the Liquidramon backed off.
"I apologize... yes, they did say you were... uh... sensitive about the subject. So, hey, I'm dropping it.
Anyway, I'm assuming you other two are with ByyyyyySanoske. I'm Tab the Liquidramon, and I'll be serving you today. I can get you three menus if you'd like."

Crystal gave the Liquidramon a cold glare when he began to bother Sanoske by trying to bring his other self up. She knew full well how much being reminded of his creator hurt Sanoske. That's why she really didn't appreciate it that he nearly slipped up again.
"Could you please Tab?" She said as nicely as she could at this point. It was kind of difficult to do with the frustration she felt for Tab.
Pure was able to pick on the feelings his sister was trying to keep with in her. Yet he was not able to understand why she felt so strongly about this. Sure she was a caring spirit, but he has only seen her having to mentally hide her frustration like this when it came to him. Did Crystal and Sanoske really grew so close together during there time together?
Now that he thought about it, the two of them did seem to be close. Could it be possible..?
Nah. That wouldn't ever happen. She's just good friends with Sanoske is all. That's all. He confirmed to himself as he waited for the menus.

"Alright, three menus coming up..."
Tab knew the tension was high between him and Sanoske and Crystal. Granted, he had his own reasons why he was excited in such a way, although he was disappointed in being unable to share his reasoning why. When Tab left, the Gazimon sighed.
^I... I think I will get some hotdogs, and that is it.^ He wanted to change the subject and made no comment on Tab bothering him. Tab wasn't gone for too long, though, coming back with three menus and handing those to the group.
"Food is on me due to my insulting you... mostly the context of the insult. But I... really need to get something off my chest, and I know I won't sleep easy for the next couple of weeks if I don't tell you."
Against his better judgement, Sanoske figured he might as well get whatever it is out of Tab's system. He wasn't going to skip out on delicious hot dogs because of one guy. That was selfish. The Gazimon nodded, mentally bracing himself.
"Great! You see... I knew your creator. Like, personally. I've talked with him and stuff. Well, actually, as personally as digimon could get given that I've died and got stuck in this wonky spare body I made but never mind that.
I used to be quite the villainous conqueror in my time as NebulaGreymon. I so wanted to have "him" as an ally. Too bad we kinda didn't like each other. Well... maybe that was understating it a bit, we both didn't like each other much. But I acknowledged his abilities and... actually I won't get into that. But I really did want "him" on my side, you know? I mean, I was super evil then. Not now, though. I mean, for me there's just no point to it anymore. So I might as well have fun and enjoy life.
I even have my own podcast, the TABCAST: The Digital Forum and Rad Podcast! I advertize this place a lot on there and I got a fair amount of listeners.
Anyway, you seem like a cool dude, and while I don't expect an interview from you it's just so cool to just be in your presence in a relatively calm setting.
Whew, glad I got this off my chest."
^... 20 hot dogs for me, please...^

Crystal wasn't exactly comfortable with Tab essentially fanboying around Sanoske, but she did her best to withhold any comment she had about this situation. Sanosek gave his approval for Tab to talk, and Tab did say that food was on him. So it was just best for them to just take it as he told them his 'life story'. (Something that sounded more like some child's story to Crystal more then anything else.)
Pure, meanwhile, ignored the Liquidramon as he peruse the menu. "Ehh... I think I'll just have a vegetarian sandwich with some water to drink." He told their waiter soon after Sanoske ordered.
Crystal sighed as she finally opened her menu and looked through it herself. "So are there anything that you would suggest?" She asked curiously.

"Well, my Lop-eared patron, my Aunt is trying out something new for a limited time, called the Sub Dog. It's like a sub sandwich but on a larger hotdog bun. Shredded lettuce, olives, cheese, turkey, bacon, and tomato chunks, with your choice of condiments. It's a pretty good concept and better to eat! Of course, if your tastes lean closer to your brother's we can remove the meat entirely."
Tab stopped himself from giving another suggestion, not wishing to hold up these guys from their food. But he certainly sounded eager giving that description. Had Tab not somewhat spoiled Sanoske's mood he would have found the Liquidramon endearing. Certainly is chatty, though.

"Hmm... Sounds good. I'll go ahead and have that then." She told him as she closed her menu, "And don't worry about removing the meat."
It was always nice to try new things. And despite what some people may think, neither Crystal nor Pure are vegetarians. Pure just enjoys a more vegetarian style diet is all. Something that isn't particularly shared by Crystal as she enjoys a much more varied diet filled with all types of unique and different things.

Tab collected the menus from everyone, giving a warm, gooey smile to the others before continuing to speak through his handheld speaker.
"Alright, 20 hotdogs for Sanoske, Veggie Sandwich and water for the Terriermon, and a Sub-Dog for the Lopmon! I'll be back with your food a bit later. Please, enjoy your stay... such a nice day out..."
Tab went back in the restaurant, and Sanoske sighed
^Well, at least he got a new lease on life... I have faint memories from my creator about him.
I have my concerns, but I guess he is harmless...^
The gazimon glanced over at Pure, mentally preparing himself to reveal his relationship with Crystal. He also couldn't help but to also see Mel, a bit curious and weary about the Hylden moping about in Pure's body.
Then something came to mind... but Sanoske wasn't too sure if he should fully reveal his thoughts, so he simply started with a conversation with the Terriermon.
^How is Mel doing? Ever since we got you back he has not been popping up at all? Do you think we should... do something? I mean, I kinda feel bad that he failed to retrieve his sister, body-snatching aside.
I know you feel sorry for him... But what's next?^

Pure looked up at Sanoske with a frown on his face as the Gazimon brought up Mel. "I'm... I'm not sure. He's still there. Weeping in the corner of my mind. It seems he's lost all hope now that everything he's worked so hard for has now blown up in his face. It's kind of pitiful in a way. Yet what can we really do about it?" Pure shared as his eyes fell towards the table.
"Well beyond having him have his sister possess someone else, which I'm not going to let happen, there's not much we can do. Unless we find a way to create a surrogate body for her." Crystal pointed out before glaring at her brother, "Yet why should we help him find something like that? If you ask me, he deserves the pain he's in after the pain he's caused to us."
"Crys! How can you say something like that?"
"Because it's the truth Pure." She responded matter-o-factly, "Look. I went along with your stockholm syndrome because I care about you Pure, but don't you think this is far enough. You need to remember what that thing did to you. To us. Do you honestly believe he deserves out pity? That the ends define the means? I'm sorry, but I already made this clear to you. I see no reason to help that monster."
"Is that so..?"

Sanoske looked at the two and couldn't help but to draw a parallel to his own creator. He didn't much like him or that near constant fear that he could just will Sanoske to nonexistance should he fully awaken, but even he realized, although embarrassingly later than he should, that not all the hate other digimon were completely justified. Some of it was others misconstruing his reasonings and actions.
But most of it was justified.
But perhaps Sanoske was thinking too deeply about his creator's past. This was about Mel and his sister.
He looked to Crystal, wanting to stroke her lightly, but couldn't at the moment.
^First off, Crystal... can we really damn his sister for his actions? I mean, I will not excuse what Mel has done, but I just do not feel... comfortable knowing that Mel's sister is dying because of us.
I do not think he is wholly irreprehensible, he more than likely did it out of desperation. If he is willing to go as far as kidnap Pure, then I think he really did care for his sister.
And, if nothing else, I want to at least help her out. Well, more specifically, I know Tab can help us out with this...^

"Thank you Sanoske" Pure said gratefully as the Gazimon took his side of the argument. They might be able to convince Crystal just yet.
Crystal seemed to have gone into deep thought after Sanoske added his two cents in. She debated with herself about what she should do. It was obvious that it was two against one right now, and she knew full well that they were going to continue despite what she said. Yet she still did not like the idea of helping the thing that took her brother.
"How exactly would Tab be able to help us out?" She concided, wanting to know what exact it was that Sanoske had planned.

The Gazimon hoped Crystal wouldn't hold it against him too much that he agreed more with Pure. If Mel had did what he did purely for himself, that's one thing, but if his sister died because of him that's something on Sanoske's conscious that he couldn't live with. Especially since he spent time helping Crystal get her brother back, but risked purposefully halting Mel and his sister from reuniting as well.
But, thankfully, Crystal was reconsidering her stance. She inquired of Sanoske's plan. As he took a few moments to gather his thoughts, to make sure he would be able to cover everything, Tab had returned, using arms and tail to carry the food and drink to the three. Placing them on the table, he gave them a smile.
"Here you go..."
^Tab, I need to ask you something. How does those... spare bodies you mentioned earlier work?^
Tab seemed to light up a bit, expression-wise. "Oh? Well, I physically create a digi-egg from my own data. Granted, as is it won't do much if it doesn't have my data inside it. The egg also needed time to kinda... get set up. Last time I did it, well... look at me now. My body wasn't complete and my data was split between two digimon. Funny story...
Anyway, I doubt you asked me because you want another me around. And I'm pretty sure I couldn't make my own body better than this. But if you, say, had someone else interested in it, that's a bit easier for me. I just have to set up the egg, but I'd need data from the one who the egg will belong to.
Once the egg is "finished", which would take about a month given my current condition, the data of the dead digimon will have to enter into the egg. That's the thing... has to be a dead digimon whose data is going into the egg, but at least their data won't have far to go. Just have the egg nearby, and their data will just flow in, allowing the digimon to be reborn.
So, who's the digimon who's number is up?"

"Well that's kind of a long story." Pure replied shyly as he rubbed the back of his head. He had no idea how to explain their situation.
Crystal, on the otherhand, did. "Those two want to save the sister of a the monster that decided to body snatch my brother over there." She said bluntly as she thought about Tab's process, "Unfortunately your process may not exactly work for what they need. We have no real way to get a sample of her data, nor bringing her to this world for that matter."
"Well we don't exactly have much of a choice right now do we. We have to do something soon or she would soon expire. Perhaps Mel still has a sample back at the lab."
"I doubt it. We didn't exactly go easy on those machines of his. Any samples he had were most likely destroyed in the explosion." Crystal said as she went into deep thought for any idea on how they could possibly save Mel's sister life. She still didn't like the idea of helping Mel, but she couldn't just let someone else die just for pity revenge. "Sorry to have bothered you about this Tab. We'll just have to see about finding another way."

Tab was a bit confused, hearing about the issues they would have in bringing her to this world and samples and what not... he mulled over the info before he made a realization...
"Wait, wait... body snatching digimon from another world? You're trying to save a Hylden digimon?"
A bit surprised at how Tab figured it out, Sanoske's expression gave Tab the answer he needed.
"My brother used to work for someone who knew someone that was taken over by a Hylden, so they aren't really new to me.
Might not need a data sample but you do need to actually get her here. But you are in luck! Because I happen to know of a few very smart digimon able to help rebuild whatever doodad needed to open a portal into the Hylden's world."

'You do?!" Pure said in surprise. He didn't think anybody, but the Hylden would be able to create something to open a portal to their world.
"No offense, but haven't you forgotten about something Pure. We're both rookies, so neither of us can enter the Hylden world. And Sanoske is probably not going to be able to go in there either." Crystal pointed out to her brother.
"Uhh... Don't worry about that Crys. I believe I have that problem handled." Pure replied shyly.
Crystal's eyes narrowed when Pure said that. "You sure your okay Pure. You are hearing what you are saying. You basically said you are willing to enter a world that neither of us have been to without a single sign of hesitation."
Pure just blinked as he processed what he was just saying. "Don't get me wrong Crys. I'm scared, but you need to understand that I need to do this no matter what happens. If I don't, then she'll die?"
Crystal just stared at her brother as she debated whether to shot him with the ray gun or not. She wanted to believe that this is her brother she was talking to, but she was starting to have doubts. The Pure she knew wouldn't willing even think about going to a dangerout world unless it was to save her.
Wait a second. Could that be it?
