Jimmy hanged onto the KendoGarurumon with all his might. Something that proved to be pretty difficult seeing how few handholds he truly had and how much Kendo was struggling to get Jimmy off of him. Yet if he could just hold on long enough, he might be able to land some blows. He might be able to win.
"This is definitely not as fun as I thought it would be." Jimmy admitted as he reached for his Licht Schwert. He activated the legally distinct lightsaber and with all his strength, stabbed it into the wolf. KendoGarurumon didn't seem to enjoy being stabbed though as it struggled even more to get Jimmy off of him, going even faster in the process.
It's working. I just need to hang on and stabbed him a few more times.

Sparks watched from the air as Kendo Garurumon was doing everything he can do to get Jimmy off of him. Meanwhile, Nova walked over to the Jacket he discarded before they fought the four Lobomon earlier. He picked it up and draped it over his shoulders. Of course Sparks wasn't going launch an attack. He didn't want to hurt Jimmy, or cause him to get thrown off.

Jimmy struggled as he hanged on as hard as he could. It took everything he had just to stab Kendo once more, this time in nook between the armor. The Ultimate roar in frustration as it began to change it's course once more. This time heading straight towards Nova and Co.
"Everybody. Watch out." Jimmy called out as loud as he could, trying to warn them before any unfortunate accidents happen. Though the chances of that actually happening was pretty unlikely.

Jimmy's warning wasn't the one to reach him first, but fortunately Sparks was keeping track of the wolf. Look out! Nova spun around, just in time to be snatched up by Sparks as he swooped down. He had also grabbed Shin just to make sure he wouldn't get hurt. "I thought air support may be needed, I just didn't think we would be the ones that needed it," Nova said. "Well that's just how it goes sometimes, right?" Sparks pointed out. "Unfortunately you can't really help Jimmy if you're carrying us like this, and there isn't really a safe place from Kendo Garurumon to sit us down," Nova stated.
"Yeah, and between my all of known forms, this one and Hunter are the only ones that can keep up with Wolfy, so I can't really provide as much air support as I like," Sparks agreed.

Jimmy gave a sigh of relief as sparks pulled Nova and Shin out of the way. That was one less thing to worry about. Now he just had to finish off KendoGarurumon.
"You know. For being some type of great hero, you seem to like putting innocents in harm way." Jimmy pointed out to the giant metal wolf as he hanged on as tightly as he could.
Then something dawned on him. "Wait a second. You don't even have a mind of yourself to begin with, now do you? Your just a mixture of raw data given form in order to test the person to see if they are worthy of your power or whatever. Am I right?" Jimmy received no answer. "Well I'm just going to guess that I am, and hope that it makes me feel less bad for what I'm about to do."
Jimmy raised his sword as high as he could, and with all his strength, brought the sword down through KendoGarurumon. The wolf gave a loud, painful roar as it began to go completely berserk before crashing into a near by dune. The Lobomon on top of the wolf meanwhile quickly found himself being thrown off by the crash and landing pretty roughly in the sand below.
"Jimmy!" Shin called out as he jumped off of Sparks and began to glide down to where the injured spirit wielder was.

After Shin jumped out of Sparkmon's arms, Sparks raised his now free hand into the air. "Lightray Guardian!" A column of light would come down on Jimmy, healing his injuries. He would called a second one down on Nova, but he didn't seem the least bit injured. "That was a risky move, but it worked," Sparks told Jimmy as he landed near by, setting Nova down. "Hopefully we didn't attract unwanted attention. It sure would suck if an enemy came along and attacked us," Nova stated as he checked the radar on his Digivice. There was the same dot on screen, just as far away as it had been earlier. Nova and Sparks looked at each other with the same thought going through their minds.
They were being followed, but by who? Maybe it was friendly, or perhaps an enemy spy. Find out next time on Digimon: Digital Monsters!

The dust soon settled to reveal Jimmy had returned to his human form. A small groan left the teens lips as he began to pick himself up, right when a healing column of light engulfed him.
"Jimmy? Are you alright?" Jimmy heard a familiar voice ask him.
"Yeah. Thanks to Sparks quick healing, I feel more sore then anything else."
"Good." Shin said happily before slapping the teen across the face.
"Ow. What was that for?" Jimmy asked with a pained look on his face, his hand covering the cheek that Shin slapped.
"For being extremely stupid. Do you know how risky that whole thing was? You nearly got both us and yourself killed."
"Geez. Thanks for the vote of confidence."
It was around then when Sparks and Nova arrived. They both seemed to have there own concerns, but otherwise seemed to be alright.
"We're in the middle of the desert at night. I would doubt that nobody within a few miles of us didn't at least see the ray of light the monolith exuded before that fight with KendoGarurumon. Speaking of which."
Jimmy stood up and looked over to see that KendoGarurumon was still here. However, instead of disappearing into data like Jimmy expected, a string of fractal code surrounded his body. This was completely new to the Spirit Wielder, but he believed he had a good idea of what he needed to do now.
And so he walked over to the form of KendoGarurumon and pulled out his D-tector. "I hope this works." Jimmy said as he slid his D-tector's scanner across the code, causing the code to enter into his digivice in the process, along with something that resembled a Spirit Totem. Then once all the code had been scanned, KendoGarurumon's form faded away from existance, almost as if it wasn't ever there.
"Another form earned." Jimmy said to himself with a sigh as he looked on the screen to see he did indeed have KendoGarurumon's totem. Now if only he didn't have to kill KendoGarurumon in the process. Even if it was only a shade with no real mind of it's own, it still hurt Jimmy deep down.
Hopefully this new form will help him prevent anybody else having to die for his sake.

"I've been in a worse situation. Try getting grabbed by a Rust Tyrannomon willing to blast his hand off just to kill you," Nova told them as he thought back to the day before he and Jimmy met. He then lay down in the sand and looked up at the stars. "Something still bothers me about that Tyrannomon though. Unlike the bulk of the Machinedra Army, it wasn't a fake Digimon, but a regular Tyrannomon that was brainwashed or something. I should've guessed since it was a Metal Tyrannomon to begin with and the Machinedra Army had only sent machines until that point," he pointed out.
"That's right, there's no telling what else they're capable of, and we definitely would've met our ends if Ryoko wasn't there, or if the Digivices hadn't reacted so strangely. We can't underestimate Machinedramon or his army for a second. For all we know, one of their Solarmon or Hagurumon drones could be spying on us," Sparks agreed. "For now I think it best we get some rest. Loader Leomon isn't the type to attack in the middle of the night, so we should all get some sleep in case he shows his face tomorrow," he suggested.
Hearing that last part, Nova just hoped he could sleep.

"It's not a competition Nova." Jimmy pointed out with a sigh after Nova told them about his encounter with a Rust Tyrannomon. Maybe it was Jimmy, but it always felt like Nova was going out of his way to one up him. Then again it probably was all in his mind.
"That sounds like a good idea Sparks. We all could probably use some rest after everything that happened today." The Falcomon said in agreement with Sparks, "Though should we look at heading back to the campsite or should we just make camp here."
"I don't know. The thought of someone spying on us is kind of freaky. Perhaps it would be best if we found a cave or something we could hide out in. That way it'll be easier to tell if we're being watch, and help us stay out of the desert heat." Jimmy suggested with a shrug, doing everything he can to fight the feeling of exhaustion.

The mention of a cave gave Nova an idea. "What about the Spyware Caverns? Don't they branch out all over the Digital World?" he asked. "Actually, that's not a bad idea. If we could find the Folder Desert entrance, we could spend the night inside, and I think I know just where it is," Sparks told them. "Well, what are we waiting for? Dawn?" Nova asked as he got up. Using his Loader, he split Sparks into Angelo Sparkmon and Spike. He then grabbed his backpack. "Sparks and I will fly on ahead. Spike can carry you two while following us. Does that sound good to you?" he asked.

"Well actually most of the theories about Spyware Caverns is speculation. No one was able to fully prove it actually does fully expand all over the world." Shin pointed out, "And if they actually did, finding one outside of the northern mountains would be like finding a needle in a haystack. So chances are that unless you've confirmed it yourself, the cave your thinking of isn't a part of the caverns, but instead is just a large cave."
Jimmy gave a small sigh after Shin's speech, "Does it really matter? If he knows where a nearby cave is, then it doesn't matter if it's a part of the Spyware Caverns or not. Personally I would prefer that it isn't so we can make sure it's actually safe, but right now I'm to tired to care." The spirit wielder said before yawning. His eyes then went wide as he realized something.
"Oh yeah. Shoot. Shouldn't we quickly go back to the campsite to grab all our things. I know I didn't exactly plan for everyone to come here, much less us deciding to find a better place to sleep. So unless one of you grabbed it, my backpack is still at camp, or at least I hope it is."

"I'll get it," Spike volunteered. Think our follower will go unnoticed by Spike? Nova asked Sparks as Spike took off. Possibly. For all we know, our follower could have a means of camouflage, Sparks thought back. "I didn't really explore deep enough inside to know for sure, but it does fork enough inside for someone to get lost," he told Shin. "If it is, then Spike might know how to navigate it, and if he does know, then we'll probably have a safer means of travel once we're done at the ruins," Nova pointed out.
"Eh, we can ask him once we've taken care of business at the ruins. We don't really need to know until then anyway," Sparks replied. "Besides, with Jimmy's newest Spirit Totem, we should be able to travel a lot faster than we would be able to inside the caverns," he pointed out. "True, but if we're traveling at a faster pace, it might be harder to find others willing to join our cause," Nova shot back.

"Yeah. Going at high speeds through a labyrinth of caverns that I'll probably barely fit through in the first place in a form I don't even know how to use yet. Sounds fun." Jimmy commented with a sarcastic tone at the idea Sparks had. The mere thought of it made Jimmy shudder a little. It sounded like an accident just waiting to happen to him.
"So how did you discover this cavern in the first place if you don't mind me asking?" Shin then asked Sparks curiously. Wanting to know more about his traveling companions and where they have been.

"Actually didn't say anything about using it in the cavern. Besides, I wouldn't be able to keep up for very long without having to Xros with Spikes, and I don't think trying to navigate a cavern while flying in a form I've only used once or twice is a good idea," Sparks pointed out to Jimmy. "We can try crossing the desert that way tomorrow for a while just so you'd at least get some practice moving around in that form. It can't be easy going from having two legs to four after all, even if some Digimon go through that all the time," Nova told them.
"Anyway, I came across it about 6 years ago. Back then, much like I still am today, I was trying to uncover my past. I was on my way to Kilobyte Oasis one evening when I stumbled across it. It was wide enough to house a large champion. I was curious, so I explored it part of it. I ended up sleeping in that cave that night," Sparks explained. "It's a little out of the way, but it'll at least give us a safer place to sleep."
"I don't think Spike should be much longer. He probably just got there," Nova said.

"What did you mean you didn't? You just said that with my new spirit totem we would be able to travel a lot faster then we normally would be inside the caverns." Jimmy pointed out slightly annoyed. He then gave a sigh, saying, "You know what? Nevermind. I'm to tired and I really don't care anymore. I just want to get some sleep."
Jimmy then turned his attention to Nova as the boy spoke. "Yeah. That may be a good idea. I still have problems moving around as Moosemon. I don't want to know how difficult moving with wheels on your legs will become." Jimmy agreed with a small yawn as he looked at his D-tector.
Meanwhile Shin seemed engrossed in Sparks explanation on the cave. To think that there was something so close to his hometown that may prove to be an important find. Not just to him, but to many in the digital world. "Is that so? Huh? I have to take a look at this cave myself." Shin said before giving a yawn, "In the morning, that is." He added, feeling the fatigued caused by lack of sleep.
