Nova gave a yawn before turning to watch for Spike's form. "I don't think cracking the code on DNA Digivolution will be easy either. Too bad... we don't know... a Spirit User... that knows how..." he fell over, finally passing out just from lack of sleep. He would've faceplanted in the sand if Sparks hadn't grabbed the back of his shirt. "He's so tired, he can't even stay awake any longer if he tried. I wonder just what's giving him so much trouble sleeping," Sparks stated. He knew full well that the Xros General had been through a lot, but he had no clue about his nightmares.
He yawned before laying Nova on the ground. "Somehow I doubt it would be a good idea to fly to that cave tonight. I might end up falling asleep trying to fly there," he told them.

Jimmy looked over at Nova's unconscious form with a little bit of worry. "Yeah. I guess the cave is off the tables now. Unless one of us is willing to carry everyone else. and I find that unlikely. I mean I would volunteer, but I'm running on auxiliary energy myself, and more likely to fall unconsicious then successfully Spirit Evolve." Jimmy then gave a deep sigh as he realized that it's going to be another night under the stars.
"I just don't want to sleep on sand again. It's uncomfortable, and gets everywhere." He admitted as he sat down, "Not to mention the hot, blistering sun that'll wake me up whether I'm ready to or not at dawn. How can anyone live out here?"
"Yes. How can anyone ever live out here?" Shin repeated sarcastically, not appreciating Jimmy's negative attitude about Shin's homeland.
Not knowing this, but able to pick up on Shin's sarcasim, Jimmy gave Shin a confused look. "What? Do you not think so?" He asked.
"I think your just not use to it, and really should stop complaining."
"Hey! It's not my fault that I'm more comfortable in the cold then in the heat."
"Well it'd probably help if you stop wearing that ridiculous scarf."
Jimmy gave a defensive look as he grabbed a hold of his scarf. After a few moments of silence between them, Jimmy said, "Your probably right. Yet this scarf is important to me. It's the only real connection I have left to my home, and it's going to take more then some heat for me to take it off."
"Well in that case. I suggest you stop complaining."
"Fine." The two companions went silent once more as they awaited for Sparks return.

"To be honest with you guys, my first home was actually here in Folder Desert," Sparks told them as he laid down and looked up at the stars, both the ring of light around his wrist and his halo illuminating the sand. "All I really know is that I lived in the Ancient Ruins before X found me in the Valley of Dragons," he explained. Ever since he met Ryusei, he found himself wondering about his true origins. Perhaps he crash landed in the desert as a Digi Egg formed in Cyberspace or even formed inside of a meteorite?
Last of the Star Dragon Types, and the first Sparkmon... The more I remember, the more I realize how little I know myself. Heck, even Lucy knows more about me than I do, Sparks thought. I'm flattered, but you should remember that we can hear you, the aforementioned Kyupimon reminded him. Sparks blushed, barely visible under the moonlight and the light of his halo. "I wish Nova had separated me from the Kyupimons before passing out so I can keep my thoughts private," he muttered. The hum of insectoid wings in the air told the group that Spike was nearby.
Sure enough, the giant insect soon landed before handing Jimmy his backpack. "So we're sleeping here after all?" Spike guessed as he studied Nova's unconscious body. "Looks like it," Sparks replied.

"That is unless you are somehow able to carry all of us there." Jimmy added in the slight hope that Spike would. Though chances were that it was mostly impossible.
Shin stretched and yawned as he looked over at Sparks for a second. "So Nova has to de-evolve you himself. Huh? I thought Xros was like most other digivolutions where if you spent most of you energy, you'd not be able to hold your form and De-evolve back to normal."
"Yeah. Well... Who knows Shin. Xros digivolution is still kind of new isn't it. So it makes sense that we still don't know all that much about it." Jimmy commented before looking over at Nova's unconscious form, "Besides. I'm not the one that fell unconscious due to exhaustion myself. I mean... Spirit Evolution does tend to take it out of me. Yet I'm still somehow able to keep myself awake while Nova sleeps here like he hasn't gotten a wink in days. Perhaps I'm getting more use to this."
"Perhaps." Shin agreed with a shrug, to busy with other things on his mind to give a better response.

"Unlike normal Digivolution though, Xros Generals are actually in charge of what form we take when we Xros. Us Digimon don't really get the decision. It is still true that a Xros can be cancelled if we become too exhausted or get hurt too badly," Sparks explained. "Of course since Nova should be my main concern, I've been paying close attention to him, and he sure doesn't look like he's slept much at all recently either," he pointed out, sitting up to move his arm near Nova's face to reveal the dark circles under his eyes.
"One thing's for sure, he has gotten more experience than most humans do in a month. He hasn't gone home once yet, right?" Spike commented. Sparks nodded, planting his hand back in the sand. "He's been here at least a month now. While he's getting used to eating less than he does back home, that lack of sleep must be taking its toll," he told him. "Honestly, I'm starting to wonder what it is that's keeping him from getting a good night's sleep."
He thought back to when the link was formed. Maybe Ophanimon could help?

"He's been here for only a month now?!" Jimmy said with some surprise. Nova seemed to be far more experienced then someone who's only been in this world for a month. He scratched the back of his head as he began to think about how long he's been here. It has to be at least over a year, if not more. While he's been back home once during that time, that week proved that the world had moved on without him, and he's better off in this world.
Shin looked down at Nova as he heard that Nova appeared to be getting a lack of sleep."Who knows? While we haven't been travelling together for all that long, it's obvious that Nova has been through alot in such a short span of time. Much more then most people go through their entire lives. It could just be that he hasn't been able to relax because of that. This world is a threatening place after all. Falling asleep could end up meaning the death of you." Shin explained. He wasn't sure if that was really the case, but he didn't have much else to go on.
Though now that he thought about it, Jimmy has had a similar problem from time to time, though he didn't believe it ever went to the same extent as Nova's did. Jimmy never gave him a straight answer to why he had the habit of staying up all night. Instead he always made some excuse about allowing Shin to get some more rest or something like that. Perhaps their plights could be the same. Though having either one of them admit what that plight is seemed unlikely in the near future.
"Well no point about talking about all this any further right now. He's asleep now and we all need our rest. I suggest we take shifts on watch just in case. Any volunteers for the first shift? I mean I would do so myself, but again, Spirit Evolution takes it out of me. So I'm more likely to fall asleep then actually spot any incoming threats."
"I'll do it. With all the excitement that has happened, I'm not all that tired now anymore anyways." Shin volunteered, knowing full well that everyone else probably going to need their rest the most if they want to be ready for whatever comes their way tomorrow.

"It sure has been a learning experience for him," Sparks stated, nodding. He was going to volunteer to take first watch, but just before he could, Shin volunteered. He folded his wings, and lay back down. Spike retracted his wings as he too lay down. "Well, good night guys," Sparks told them, looking up at the stars. It would take him a little bit to fall to sleep, but he would probably fall to sleep sooner than Shin. Spike, having been up longer than either of the other Digimon would have little difficulty. "Night," he replied. I'll have to ask Nova what's keeping him awake at night, Sparks thought.
What would tomorrow hold?

Jimmy watched as everyone began to go to sleep. "I guess I should get to sleep as well." Jimmy said with a yawn, "On the sand. In the middle of the desert. With the sun going to rise any minute..."
"Jimmy!" Shin said annoyed with the Spirit Wielders complaining.
"Alright. Alright. I'll stop. Ugh... You can't take..." Jimmy started as he walked a few feet to find a good place to lay down. Before he could finish his sentence however, something caught his eye. A familiar ghostly, light-blue wolf stood right where the monument once was.
"Jimmy? Is everything alright?" Shin asked worried.
"Huh?" Jimmy said as he turned his head towards Shin for only a second, but when he returned his attention back to the wolf, it had vanished. "Where did it..." Jimmy shook his head as his attention went back to Shin. "Yeah. I'm just tired, that's all."
"Okay then. Well then you really should get to sleep. I don't want you to stay up all night again."
"Yeah. Good night." Jimmy said as he pulled out his sleeping bag and laid down on top of it.
His mind couldn't stop wondering about the wolf he saw though. It was the same one that had led him to where Lobomon was buried back in the human world. He was sure of it. Though why was it here. Could it have been following him all this time, or was this meeting just coincidence? Maybe he just imagined the whole thing? He was pretty tired after all.
Jimmy's eyes closed as he tried his best to relax his now restless mind. A feat that was accomplished mostly because of his tired body. His dreams that night were filled with images of that very same wolf. It seemed almost connected to him, but how?
