Rippah, whom was closer to the rest of the group, scratched his head. He, too, knew Cuttah's reasoning. Actually, he had little issue with her deciding to be a host for the time being, but had issue with part of the thought process behind it.
"Eh... not too sure if it's... appropriate *hurrrp* to disclose her reasoning..."
But Cuttah finished off a bit of her sandwich and spoke.
"You have no idea how much I loathe myself at times. I'm just a stinky, stupid, fat, emotionally imbalanced, useless digimon. But maybe if I do this which seems important... I can hate myself a little less, maybe. Or at least just hang out in the backseat of my body and let someone else take control. Not like I use it for anything of use."
Cuttah went back to her sandwich.
"It's either this, apathy, or anger. It took Rippah 45 minutes yesterday to convince her not to shoot Vetina."
"Only until we finish all this."

Crystal felt sorry for Cuttah. The only reason she volunteered to be Celeste's temp body in the first place was so that she would feel better about herself. It made Crystal want to give the Gabumon variant a hug. Though now was perhaps not the best time.
"Well chances are you will be in control of your body for most, if not all, of that time. She's been stuck in our world for far longer then should have in her condition and it'll be awhile before she's able to fully recover." Mel said with sorrow in his voice. "Anyways. To change the subject. While we're all here we should figure out who's going into the portal and who's staying behind. I know both myself and Crystal are going, and I'm pretty sure that Vetina is coming along for the ride. Any other volunteers?"

Cuttah was a bit disappointed that nothing will change really with Celeste in her body, but she quickly got over it. It didn't effect her decision at all.
Meanwhile, Mel brought up the question of who was going into the hylden area. Burst then spoke up.
"Well, me, Karen, and Lezard need to stay here and tend to the machine, as well as to ensure that no unwanted guests come. Tab needs to work on the egg, and Cuttah needs be be ready to have Celeste placed inside her when you return. And, of course, Sanoske can't go in at all. That leaves Rippah..."
"*Beeellch* Well, I mean, I'll go if they'll have me along. Certainly already enough people here."

"Cuttah could come along if she wants. It's not like we're performing surgury or anything. In fact it may be in our best interest to perform the transfer there if we can so we can reduce the amount of stress on Celeste's body. Though on second thought, making a machine like that portable may not be feasible in the time we are allotted."
Mel paused as he seemed to have gone into deep thought. Some idea was certainly stirring in his head, and Crystal wasn't sure that she liked it.
"So then? I think we have the basic plan put together. So are there any other issues we should discuss before lunch?" Crystal asked, taking note that she was starting to get peckish.

Karen shook her head at the mention of a portable device. "Ah'm sorry, Ah don't think we can afford to try to miniaturize it. This plan is too time sensitive, and it would be faster, Ah think, to transport her here and do it. We can get the machine done bah the tahme the portal is complete.
Besahdes... um... Cuttah isn't the most... discreet digimon."
"Five on four is adequate enough. Weights on either ends, balance by realm division, must even out for a smooth transition without tipping.
Now, I say I'll stand to be nourished."

"I was just pointing out a possibility. Nothing more." Mel pointed out, "Besides. I wouldn't be surprise if they find us out no matter how discreet we try to be. A portal opening in their realm is unlikely to go unnoticed for long."
"Look. We'll take care of it when it comes up. For now lets just get something to eat. Alright?" Crystal said before standing up, waiting only a second for the others to follow suit.

The group would break for lunch (except for Cuttah, who was already eating), and eventually they would get back to working on the device.
A few more days passed with the machine nearing completion. Everything was on schedule, and any issue they had was quickly squashed.
One morning, a day before it was estimated that the group would be able to start the machine, Sanoske decided that now was as good a time as any to talk to Pure about a fishing trip at some point. He had slept in a corner of the warehouse, out of the way of everyone else. From his position, he saw that the entire building was quiet (Karen had been a bit strict with maintaining a proper sleep schedule. In her defense, she stated that no one should be trying to do all this while half asleep). The only thing that was happening was Rippah moving around, doing some things outside.

Right next to Sanoske lied Crystal in a deep slumber. She had stirred slightly as Sanoske awoke, as if noticing Sanoske moving, but didn't seem to awake herself. Instead she only mumbled something incomprehensible before returning back to whatever dream she was in. Probably for the best for now seeing how she was working herself pretty hard to get this portal done.
Sanoske would see Pure was not that far away from him. Only sleeping a few yards away from him and Crystal. Giving the two the space they need while also not straying to far away from sight. It seemed he was still feeling guilty about the whole Mel situation even if it's not really his fault, and trying his best to make it up to his sister.

The large Gazimon got up, halting for a moment as he saw Crystal stir. Seeing her fall back asleep, he slowly made his way over to Pure, holding his breath as she did so. He didn't want Crystal woken up just yet... she had worked quite hard the last week and deserved her rest.
Upon reconsideration... perhaps Pure needed his rest too. It would be rude to skip over waking up Crys and going for Pure.
He continued passed the Terriermon, a look of concern over his face as he went over the tension caused by Mel's introduction. His inclusion had radically shifted the dynamic between the siblings... an even Sanoske itself.
"Psst..."
Quickly looking up, he saw Rippah motioning him to come outside. He did so, and followed the Gabumon over to the side of the building.
"You look like you have a lot on your mind. *urp* Wouldn't be surprised... girlfriend's bother being possessed and all. Anyway, I've generally been an early bird, so to speak.
Want to get some stuff off your chest?"

It's been a long day for Pure, or to be more exact, Mel. Pure has been spending most of his time inside the depths of his own mind during the construction of the portal. Only popping out every now and again in order to say something. An event that honestly hasn't happened all that much.
This left Pure in an odd predicament. During most of the night, seeing how he spends most of his time resting as is, his mind is wide awake while his body is dead tired. Not exactly a combination that the Terriermon is use too. Combined with his usually paranoia left him pretty aware of his surroundings.
So when he noticed a presence near him, Pure opened his eyes only slightly to see who it was. A mental sigh of relief washed over him when he saw it was just Sanoske. He was on the verge of returning back to sleep until he notice Sanoske noticing something and begin walking away. Curiousity getting the better of him, he slowly decided to wake up and see what was going on.
The Terriermon slowly pushed himself off the ground before quietly following after Sanoske to see what was going on. He was careful to be quiet about it, not wanting to alert Sanoske of his presence just yet. Not until he was sure what exactly was going on. It wasn't long before he begin overhearing Rippah speak about Sanoske having a lot on his mind about Pure.
It honestly made Pure slightly uncomfortable to hear this. Perhaps it was best that he just return back to his spot. Yet he decided to stay out of sight and listen. If he could figure out what exactly Sanoske thought of him, he could... He didn't know. He just wanted to know for sure what exactly Crystal's boyfriend thought of him.

Sanoske sat against the wall of the building, next to Rippah, before sighing.
^I am just worried about Crystal and Pure. They have been through a lot lately. It feels so long ago that we could just relax. No Hylden or possessions... just snarky Crystal and timid Pure and myself.
And now Crystal and Pure have Mel to worry about. I'm especially worried about Pure. I do not know how having Mel inside him for so long will effect him, physically and mentally.
A part of me thinks it will turn out... relatively fine. Perhaps we can get a new body for Mel to after we save Celeste...^
Rippah nodded, letting out a small belch as he did so. "I get you. I know you're pretty close to the siblings and you don't want any issue between them... namely dealing with Mel...
...you sure it isn't Sto-"
^I am... fairly certain it is not Stockholm's.
Anyway... if you do not mind me asking... what is up with your sister? She seems... distraught.^

Pure just sat there as he listened to the two talk. It seemed that Sanoske was also worried about how Mel effected the short lived relation between the three of them.
So then. Should I ask why you have decided to eavesdrop on your... I mean our 'friends'? Mel's voice echoed in Pure's head.
Speak of the devil. What do you want Mel? Pure asked the voice in his head.
Just interested in what you are going to do? They are talking about us after all. Mel explained, It is an interesting question to ask though. Are you suffering from Stockholm's syndrome? It would explain a lot.
I would prefer to call it pity myself.
Interesting that your not denying it.
Well I'm stuck with you after all.
Forever and ever. Mel replied with a much more depressed tone.
I rather not deal with you crying inside of me for the rest of my life. Nor do I want to risk you trying to use my sister's body again. Pure explained, Besides. I know how it feels to nearly lose a sibling. While I don't condone your actions, I can't say I wouldn't have done anything different if I were in your shoes.
And here I thought you were doing all this from the kindness of your heart.

Rippah let out a sigh and answered Sanoske. "We may be siblings, but I've only known of her existence relatively recently. Beforehand, she *belllch* had a human tamer. Long story short... given her flatulence she spent a lot of time in bags, in closets, hidden in general, told to be quiet, to hold it in... then she apparently had a mental breakdown and beat her tamer in the head *urrap* with a gun multiple times before abandoning her tamer."
^Oh... I see...^ Sanoske felt a bit awkward... it was an odd but not unjustified sort of emotional trauma.
"So as of now she's... a bit unstable emotionally. But, being my sister, I wish to help her develop emotionally. Maybe help her make a few friends that isn't me."

Well then. It looks like they aren't talking about you anymore. You sure you want to stay and listen.
Pure tried the best he could to ignore Mel as he focused on what was being discussed.
I wonder. Perhaps I should talk to Smelly a little. Try to help her self-esteem a little. Especially seeing how she's going to be Celeste's host body for some time. Don't need her doing anything reckless, putting my sister at risk. Mel then paused for a moment as a thought occurred to him, I really hope Celeste doesn't end up developing a gas problem because of all of this.
Having second thoughts about this?
No. Unfortunately my first choice is still off the menu, and there aren't all that many volunteers for the job. So I'll take what I get.
You know. I've been meaning to ask. Why do you want to use Crystal so much?
If you must know. She... Kind of reminds of Celeste. If just a little. Plus with me in your body, it seemed like it would be a perfect fit for my sister to live in your sister's body.
Well that's not going to happen.
Yeah yeah. No need to tell me again. You and your sister have made it perfectly clear. Still I wonder why you haven't told her yet. About our current condition. She has a right to know, doesn't she?
I'll tell her when the time seems right.
From the sounds of it. You don't plan on telling her at all. Mel pointed out, She's going to find out you know. And it's going to break both of your hearts when she finds out you've been keeping it a secret from her.
"I know that. Will you just be quiet?" A frustrated Pure told Mel with a raise voice, only noticing a few seconds later that he just said that out loud.

The two had looked and spotted Pure.
^How... long have you been there?^
Rippah patted Sanoske's thigh and chuckled to himself. "It doesn't *belchurp* really matter. Anything you said probably couldn't change anything."
The Gazimon nodded in agreement. He didn't say much on Pure and whatever he did say was, he figured, stuff Pure already knew about or could have figured out himself. As to the outburst... both Sanoske and Rippah didn't imagine it was important enough to ask what that was about.
^Anyway, now that you are up, Pure... I wanted to ask you if you had wanted to go out fishing with me one day? You can take some time to think about it.^
