I have an old character (Charlie Kai, her profile is here) and I want to update quite a bit about the character, her name and her partner but most of the personality and some other bits I want to keep. Is there I way I can edit the existing profile or do I have to create a whole new character? |

Generally a user who wishes to make such changes makes a thread in the profile edit section of the forum, and then a mod approves and adds in said changes if everything is good.
That being said, if it's such a major change, then you can simply just put up a new profile.

Would I be allowed to use some parts of the older profile in the new one? I don't want to re-write things that stay the same.

That's fine.
I would know. As many times I've redid my Beverly profile, which at its longest was nearly a light novel because of all the forms her and Ghost had, plus mercs.
