Waking Up in a New Home (Open)

Wormmon hides in the tree. Kunemon breaks free of the net, and crawls up and goes after Wormmon, but Wormmon crosses from tree to tree using their silk thread. The dark seed continues transferring health to Wormmon. "Stop running away! You are only delaying your defeat." Kunemon fires an electric thread, knocking Wormmon out of the tree. "What are we going to do, Dante? Kunemon is just like me, but faster." Dante is frustrated. Everything has come down to this match. With Revan deserting the Defectors, the only way to get the data core back is to win. Who knows what Revan or Shirou will do with the data core? And what will Wizardmon do if he gets his hands on it?

Judith and Sakiko watch from the bench. Judith was starting to get used to Digimon, but she hated the battles. Sakiko had lost her entire house in just one battle. Judith worries about Dante and Wormmon. "Dante needs to win. He has to!" Sakiko looks down. So many things had happened to her recently. Her home is destroyed. She still didn't have her partner by her side. Revan cheated on her. And now it looked like they were never going to get the data core. "I want Dante to win, but there's just no chance. Wormmon and Kunemon are vastly similar, but Bo and Kunemon have been battling for years. Kunemon is even faster than Wormmon, and more experienced in battle." Judith gets very anxious. "Come on, Dante. Find a way."

Kunemon fires another electric thread at Wormmon. The dark seed wears off. Dante drops his lighter and kicks it over to Wormmon. (Speaking in Italian) "Wormmon, pick up the lighter!" Wormmon hurries over and picks up the lighter. Kunemon fires an electric thread. Wormmon jumps out of the way, and crawls back into the trees. Wormmon makes a web in the middle of the forest. Kunemon heads towards the middle to attack with a poison stinger. The two meet in the middle of the web. "Let's light it up! Sticky Net!" Wormmon shoots a sticky net, trapping Kunemon in the web. Wormmon uses the lighter to light the web on fire. The web is highly flammable. Wormmon jumps down as the flames engulf Kunemon. They fall to the ground, burnt to a crisp. "Great job, you barbequed him!" Wormmon closes in for one final attack, and smacks Kunemon in the face with their tail. Kunemon falls over, unable to continue. "You're winner, Dante and his misbehaving Digimon. Oh how I hate them!"

Shirou downloads Kunemon's data to treat his injuries. Wormmon runs up and jumps into Dante's arms. "We did it, Dante!" Dante is excited they took down Bo and Kunemon. "You are awesome, Wormmon. Keep it up!" Dante walks back to the dugout. Shirou changes the arena back to normal. The Defectors are celebrating the victory. "Way to go, brother!" The mood suddenly changes when they realize Revan is fighting TJ next. "Revan fights soon. Two very powerful fighters. Neither will back down." "Anything can happen in this one." Bo walks back to the dugout. TJ shoves him out of the way and exits the dugout. "All right, ladies and gentlemen! That concludes the first round. On to the Semifinals! Up next is TJ vs Revan! What's going to happen? Wha ha ha ha!!!" Revan gets up and approaches the Defectors' dugout. "Playtime's over." Revan looks at Sakiko, and she sticks her tongue out at him. "Frig off, Revan!" Sakiko smiles. "Ya, hurry up and lose, ya idiot!" Revan gives Sakiko the stink eye, and turns his attention to TJ. "Get ready, BlackGabumon. We will fight to the death!"

Blitzmon gets up out of the pile of broken machines. They fire a thunder fist up at BGmon, but they dodge and jump onto a platform. Blitzmon charges their electricity and fires a blast downwards, propelling himself up to the platform. BGmon strikes Blitzmon with a claw attack. Blitzmon grabs onto BGmon and throws them down to the floor. Blitzmon fires another thunder fist at BGmon, hitting for moderate damage. Blitzmon jumps down to the floor. BGmon fires a howling lazer. Blitzmon ducks down, and the blast hits above Takashi's team's dugout. Sal screams in fear and crouches down, narrowly avoiding the blast. "Hey jerkwad! Watch where your Digimon is firing!" "Ah can it ya crazy ho! You'll get your chance to face me next round." Dante is pissed off at Revan. "Well, that shows how much confidence Revan has in me."

Sal jumps down from the top of the dugout and walks inside. "Welcome back." "Put a sock in it, Bo!" Sal sits down on the bench by herself. Bo walks over to Wizardmon. "So, what exactly are you trying to do?" Wizardmon looks up at Bo. "Whatever do you mean?" "Don't play dumb, I can see right through your act. You can't deny that you have played a huge part in orchestrating this tournament." "I only seek the data core. The tournament was Shirou's idea, and it played rather well into my agenda." Bo is puzzled by what Wizardmon is planning. "Well if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be fighting." Wizardmon laughs. "Oh come, now. It wasn't me who planted the hatred in your hearts. I just had to bring you to the right place. Rest assured, Bo. Everything is fine. You are just too insightful for your own good. And yet you couldn't even defeat an inexperienced tamer. Such shame!" Bo gives Wizardmon a dirty look and walks away, turning his attention back to the fight.

Takashi walks over and sits next to Sal. "You know, you looked so beautiful kicking Dante's butt. Maybe you'll give me a kiss sometime, hmm?" Sal just stares at Takashi. "Cram it, kid. I'm not in the mood." Takashi puts his arm around Sal. "Well, if you don't kiss me, I'll have to tell everyone about your secret." "You wouldn't dare! Are you blackmailing me?!" "What's blackmailing?" "If you tell Dante and his friends my secret I will make sure you have a very miserable puberty." "Come on, just one kiss!" "Hugh, fine. Close your eyes." Takashi closes his eyes and leans in for a kiss. Sal punches Takashi in the mouth and throws him to the ground. Sal grabs Takashi by the head. "You wanna kiss? I'll give you something to kiss!" Sal drags Takashi over to Bo and shoves his face right in Bo's butt. "Pucker up, you little brat!" "What are you doing, Sal?!" "Ah, no!" Sal lets go of Takashi, and he falls to the ground. "Was that really necessary?" Sal looks at Bo with a small grin. "Yes, and it was fun."

Blitzmon and BGmon continue fighting. BGmon lands another claw attack. Blitzmon punches BGmon and shoves them up against some machinery. Blitzmon is distracted by his teammates. He turns his head to look. BGmon latches onto Blitzmon with a nasty bite. Blitzmon grabs onto BGmon, and charges right through a large machine. BGmon keeps hanging on. Blitzmon keeps running and crashes right into another machine. It collapses on top of both Digimon. Blitzmon and BGmon are laying on the ground. "No! Get up, BlackGarurumon!" BGmon lets out a light cry. "Please! You have to get up. I don't know what I would do without you, BlackGarurumon!" Blitzmon struggles to his feet. "Argh! My back! What was I thinking? Time to finish this!" Blitzmon charges up his fists with electricity. The lights start flashing again. Dante and the others watch on. "Oh no! BlackGarurumon is going to get hurt. You have to do something, Dante!" "We can't interfere. This is all Revan's fault! He thinks he's a great tamer, even through he treats his partner like a slave." Cassius watches on from the bench. He has been tending to Angel's wounds. (Thinking) "Damn it, Revan! Look at what you've gotten us into."

Dante and Wormmon stand across from Sal and Biyomon. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy smashing that pathetic little worm! And Wormmon too, ah ha ha ha!" Biyomon digivolves to Birdramon. "Well, it's the giant bird made of fire, against the tiny green bug. Good thing I'm not taking bets." Shirou changes the arena to a holy temple floating in the sky. "Let the final battle of the semi finals begin! Good luck, noob!" Dante flips off Shirou.

Wormmon takes a few steps forward. Birdramon takes to the sky and swoops down, striking Wormmon with a claw attack. Wormmon gets up and dusts off. Birdramon soars high and unleashes a fiery meteor wing towards Wormmon. Wormmon hurries to get out of the way and hides behind a pillar. Birdramon swoops in and grabs Wormmon. Birdramon flies high, and drops Wormmon. They fall down and crash land into a shrine. Dante feels horrible pain seeing his Digimon partner take such a beating. "No! You gotta find a way to fight back, Wormmon! Everyone is counting on us!"

Birdramon fires a meteor wing, hitting Wormmon for massive damage. Wormmon's tail catches fire. "Ow hot hot hot!" Wormmon runs over and jumps into a fountain to cool off. Sal runs her fingers through her hair. "Face it, Dante. I'm going to rip Wormmon to pieces, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!" Dante grinds his teeth and glares at Sal. "You crazy bitch! What is wrong with you?" Birdramon swoops in and tries to bite Wormmon. Wormmon dodges around in the fountain, trying no to become bird food. "This wasn't what I was expecting to do today!" Wormmon jumps out of the fountain and runs as fast as they can towards a large statue. Birdramon flies over and grabs Wormmon with their talons, slamming them against the base of the statue.

Both sides watch from the dugouts. Judith is worried about Wormmon. "Dante! Call off the fight! Wormmon's going to get hurt badly." Dante tightens his fist. There's no way he's going to back down when everything is riding on this battle. "No! Sakiko is counting on us. I must fight to protect my friends!" Wormmon screams out in agony. "DANTEEEEE!" Dante tightens his arms and yells as loud as he can. "WORMMOOOOON!" Wormmon's body starts to glow. A powerful blast comes from Wormmon and knocks Birdramon back. Wormmon forms a cocoon, and starts to change shape. "Wormmon, digivolve to, Stingmon!"

Stingmon and Birdramon continue to battle. Stingmon charges towards Birdramon and tires to land a kick, but Birdramon dodges and scratches Stingmon in the face with their talons. Birdramon flies up and unleashes a meteor wing, hitting Stingmon for moderate damage and sending them crashing into the ground. Stingmon struggles to get up. "A few more of those and I'll be a goner." Birdramon swoops in for a claw attack, but Stingmon blocks with their energy spike. Stingmon fires a moon cannon point blank, exploding in Birdramon's face and creating a powerful blast, knocking both of them down. Both sides watch on in shock, waiting to see who survived the blast.

Birdramon gets up and flies over to Sal. Stingmon stands up and stretches their arm out. "Have to admit, that attack hurts." Sal begins to question if Birdramon is capable of defeating Stingmon. "Birdramon, change back to Biyomon for now." Birdramon devolves to Biyomon. Dante is confused by Sal's tactics. "What are you up to this time?" "I'm going to destroy you with the data of Angel's Digmon." Sal takes out her digivice and transfers Angemon's data to Biyomon, digivolving them to Gorimon, a large albino ape digimon with a robotic cannon for a hand. "What the? Shirou! That's gotta be against the rules!" "Rules? What rules? I'm in charge here and I'm not complaining." Gorimon beats its chest. Takashi takes a closer look at Gorimon. "Whoah, check it out, a monkey!" Sal turns and stares at Takashi. "You're a monkey! Gorimon is going to crush these fools! And when we are done, I'm going after you, ya little idiot!" Takashi looks upset. TJ grabs Takashi and throws him onto the bench. "Don't distract her. She's already insane enough as it is." "Why is everybody so mean to me?!" Takashi starts to cry. TJ feels bad for Takashi. He pats him on the back. "Hey there, stop crying." Bo watches TJ trying to comfort Takashi. (Thinking) "You big oath. You're the one who is out of touch with what is going on."

Dante calls Stingmon over to talk strategy. "Listen, we've got this. You can beat that thing. We have to get Sal to lose control." Stingmon is puzzled by Dante's plan. "But Dante, she's crazy enough! I can handle Mr. Banana grabber." Dante reaches out and feels Stingmon's arm. "You're hurt. Are you sure you want to continue battling?" Stingmon nods with determination in their bug eyes. "I'll never stop fighting. Whether it's battling crazies, or just boring dull life. I'll always fight to defend our friends." Dante smiles at Stingmon. Judith watches on from the dugout. "Stingmon's hurt. Come on, Dante, just stop the fight!" Stingmon flies towards the middle of the battle field. Remains of the temple lay all over. Stingmon cracks their neck and charges up a moon cannon. "Funny, I see an 800 pound, filthy, hairy, disgusting, poo flinging, out of control manbeast! And the other one is Gorimon."

Sal is enraged by Stingmon's comment. "You jerk! I will rip off your funny little bug head of yours!" Gorimon takes a giant leap over towards Stingmon. Gorimon goes for a powerful punch, but Stingmon dodges and strikes Gorimon with a kick. Gorimon beats their chest. Stingmon flies into the air and fires a moon cannon. Gorimon fires an energy cannon. The two blasts collide and create a massive explosion, shaking the building. Stingmon is injured by the blast. "Don't worry, Dante. I'm already 2 steps ahead." Stingmon uses infestation. They release a small bug carrying a seed. The bug flies towards Gorimon and implants the seed into their flesh. Gorimon beats their chest in anger. "Great thinking, Stingmon!" The seed slowly transfers some of Gorimon's health to Stingmon. "I'm ready for another round. You're finished, Sal!"

Revan struggles to get up. "I'm ready to destroy Dante. Start the match, Shirou!" The lights in the room flicker. "You're not in charge here, I am! And the next battle doesn't start until I say it does!" "Then I guess I'll have to wait." Revan just stands there in the middle of the arena. Dante walks back over to the dugout. "He's more delusional than ever! Can't you talk to him Sakiko?" Sakiko crosses her arms and turns her nose up. "I don't want anything to do with that evil creep!" Dante goes into the dugout and checks on Angel. "Angel, how are you feeling?" Angel grabs her leg in pain. "I'll be fine, Dante. It hurts right now, but my injuries will heal."

"I'm glad to hear that. Listen, all this crazy stuff has been happening, and I never got the chance to say something important." Dante's words catch Angel's interest. "What is it, Dante?" Dante clears his throat and tries not to jumble his words. "I was just wondering, if, after all this chaos ends, if you would maybe, wanna go get something to eat some time?" Angel looks embarrassed. Judith frowns. She knows Angel is about to break Dante's heart. "Ya, no, I don't think so. I just don't have those kind of feelings for you. You're a great friend, but you're not my type." Dante struggles to control his emotions. "Ya, not you're type. I just wanted to ask, that's all." "I'm sorry Dante." "It's okay, ya. Just, just rest up. We all really care about you, Angel." Dante goes and sits in the corner of the dugout. Judith sees how disappointed Dante is. Judith enters the dugout and sits down next to Dante.

"Oh great, here we go again." "What do you mean?" "I know what you're gonna say." "Come on, humor me Dante." "Fine, say what you wanna say. Say there's plenty of fish in the sea. Say there's nothing wrong with me or the way I look. Try to build up this pile of debris." Judith is sad Dante had his heart broken. They have had conversations like this before. "I guess no matter what I say, it's not going to help this time. I'll let you sulk in the corner. But I care about you, brother. And you'll find that special girl one day." Dante sighs. He doesn't think he will ever find a girl to love him as much as he can love them. Dante was awestruck by Angel. Mostly because Dante is a sucker for bad girls, but Angel in particular had stolen his heart in recent weeks. "Take care, brother. You have to get ready for your match." Judith gets up and sits over by Sakiko.

Takashi's team feels defeated. They had started off hot, but lost both matches in the semifinals. Bo approaches Wizardmon. "So that's it, then? This was all for nothing!" "Ah ha ha ha! Oh, Bo. Did you really think I would put all my faith in your team? Do you really think I don't have a backup plan? I knew the Defectors posed a threat, Revan especially. Just leave everything to me." Bo doesn't trust Wizardmon, but now that it's down to Dante, Shirou, and Revan, Bo must trust Wizardmon so the data core does not fall into the wrong hands. "I don't know what your game is, but I don't like playing." Wizardmon laughs again. "We are all players in this game, and actors in this play." Takashi walks up to Bo. "Can we go, now? We've lost. Let's go get some pizza and nachos!" "We are not going anywhere until we recover the data core. I won't allow the wrong hands to acquire it!" "Indeed..."

Revan continues to just stand there. Shirou gets bored of waiting for BlackGabumon and Wormmon to be fully rejuvenated. "All right! You want entertainment? It seems we have some unwanted guests that have been waiting to attack us. Consider this the loser's bracket." Shirou returns most of the Digimon to their tamers. Shirou opens the door to the rest of the facility. Several armed guards burst in, ready to battle. Cassius, Takashi, and Bo exit the dugouts and head towards the guards with their Digimon. "All right! I've been craving some more action. Let's take them down!" Betamon and Agumon digvolve to Seadramon and Greymon. Bo looks down at Kunemon. Even at the rookie stage, they are ready to fight. "This feels weird. Fighting along side one of the Defectors." "Maybe we are not so different as we thought before." Takashi steps forward towards the guards and raises his fist. "Let's get em, Greymon! Bring the heat!" Greymon lets out a powerful roar.

Sakiko tells Dante more about what happened when they were kids. She explains how becoming tamers changed them. Dante can hardly believe what it must've been like. He became a tamer later in life. What would growing up with Wormmon have been like? "I understand now. You were all friends, but there's a lot of bad blood there. Scars from childhood." Sakiko looks down in sorrow. "That's why I need you to do something for me, Dante. I need you to defeat Revan." Dante isn't sure if he's able to. It was only a matter of time before Dante makes a critical mistake that costs him a fight. He had gotten this far, but Revan and Shirou were something different all together. "Let's hope so. The data core must not be used for evil."

More guards charge towards Greymon, firing lasers to damage his data. Greymon roars and stomps on the ground, causing the guards to lose their balance and fall down. Seadramon slithers over and wraps around two of the guards, strangling them. Two more guards show up carrying a high power cannon. They fire at Seadramon, knocking them down and temporarily paralyzing Sedramon. "No! Seadramon! You have to keep fighting." Two guards approach Kunemon. Kunemon fires an electric thread, zapping one of them. The other dives forward and tries to grab Kunemon. Kunemon runs away and hides behind Bo. "Come on, you gotta stay and fight!" The guards with the cannon approach Greymon. They fire another blast at Greymon. Kunemon jumps up and is hit by the blast. "Oh no! Kunemon! You saved Greymon." Greymon charges forward and headbutts the guards into the wall. Greymon lets out a powerful roar and starts stomping on the guards. No more guards are coming through the door. Greymon takes care of the rest of the guards, and piles up their unconscious bodies. "Way to go, Greymon! You kicked their butts good!"

Shirou closes the door. "Congratz, you survived the loser's bracket. Return to the dugouts and I'll dispose of this mess." Seadramon and Kunemon recover from the paralyzer cannon. Greymon and Seadramon devolve back to rookie, and they all return to the dugouts. Shirou opens up a hole in the floor, and the pile of guards falls through. "That takes care of that. I will upload their data somewhere else in the facility. Hopefully medics will be able to tend to their injuries in time. Which means it's time for the final fight of the tournament! Before ultimately losing to myself, ha ha ha!" Dante gets ready to face  Revan. He gets up and heads towards the doorway of the dugout. Judith gets up and hugs Dante from behind. "Go knock that creep out, brother." Dante smiles and takes Judith's hands off of him. "I will. Revan is finally going to get what's coming to him."

Dante exits the dugout and stands there, waiting for Revan to wake up. Revan just lays there on the ground. "Is he still sleeping, or is he dead?!" Revan doesn't appear to be moving. Cassius runs out of the dugout and checks on his longtime friend and rival. "Something's wrong! He's not breathing." Sakiko rushes out of the dugout. Dante, Cassius, and Sakiko circle around Revan to see what is wrong. "Revan! Please don't die! Wake up!" Sakiko kneels down and puts her lips on Revan's, trying to breathe air into his lungs. Revan grabs Sakiko's head and starts making out with her. Sakiko is shocked. She breaks away from Revan and slaps him in the face, leaving a nice big red mark. "I cannot believe you! We thought you were dying!" Revan gets up and laughs. "Relax. I just wanted to prove you still had feelings for me." Sakiko gets super angry. "You creep! You're the one that kissed me. I hope Dante rips you into pieces!" Cassius grabs Sakiko and takes her back to the dugout.

Revan walks over to Team Takashi's side of the arena. Dante walks back over and stands on the Defectors' side. Shirou returns BlackGabumon and Wormmon to their tamers. Dante is excited to see Wormmon again. "Wormmon, you are back buddy!" Dante pick up Wormmon and squishes them with a big hug. "You were so great in that last fight as Stingmon." Wormmon struggles for air. "Ah! Thanks Dante. Good to see you too." Dante puts Wormmon down. "The bird brain and the big monkey thought they could take us down, but I showed them we don't mess around! Oh ya! Crimson Fox and Emerald Bug in the finals!" BlackGabumon watches Wormmon and Dante. He wishes Revan was more like Dante. "It's great to see you again, Revan." Revan gives Dante a dirty look. "Ya, it's great you are fully restored. Now take out that stupid bug so we can teach Dante once and for all that he's just a dumb rookie, and will never be at my level!" Revan prepares for the fight. Both Digimon take a few steps forward. Both sides watch on in anticipation. This battle determines the winner of the data core tournament, and who goes on to fight Shirou, the computer wizard with complete control at his fingertips. "Are both sides ready to fight?" "Ya, we don't even need to digivolve to crush this loser." "We are ready. Prepare to taste bitter defeat, you creepy goth." Wormmon starts posing and flexing their little bug legs. "The champ is here! Feast your eyes on the most magnificent Digimon! The lean, green, ass kicking machine! The best of the best, the master of breasts! Get ready to feel the stingah!"

Wormmon sprays silk thread all around them and creates a cocoon. In a bright flash of light the cocoon erupts and Stingmon appears. "Let's kick it up a gear. Moon Cannon!" Stingmon fires a moon cannon at BlackGarurumon, but they dodge to the side. The blast hits the ground, creating a large crater. BGmon lunges towards Stingmon and attacks with a powerful bite. "Ow! That hurts, Fluffy!" Stingmon tries to shake BGmon off, but they will not let go. Stingmon flies towards a stream of lava and tries to drop BGmon in the lava. BGmon lets go and jumps off, landing on the other side of the lava. BGmon fires a howling blaster, hitting Stingmon for moderate damage. "You're lucky we're surrounded by lava. If I could use my ice attacks this battle would be over already!" "Hmm, so you want a fair fight, eh?"

Stingmon flies up to the monitor. "Now I know this weird lava place is like your special baby, or whatever, but I don't want anyone saying I only won because Fluffy here is too hot." Shirou looks agitated. "What?! You mean you are actually asking me to make the fight more challenging? Well then, how do you like this?!" Shirou activates the arena change. Several lights come down from the ceiling to light up the arena. The flow of lava is cut off, and the lava drains out of the hole in the middle. Shirou turns the middle into a pit of acid. "There! Now BlackGarurumon can fight at full strength, and the middle is still deadly. I hope you are happy, bug brain!" "Not as happy as I'm going to be when I stab you in the throat, nerd!" Stingmon stabs the monitor with a spiking strike, cracking the monitor. Shirou's voice still comes in through the speakers. "Argh, why did you do that?! Pitiful insect!" Stingmon flies back over to BlackGarurumon.

Revan smirks at Dante. "I can't believe this! Your Digimon might as well have surrendered! BlackGarurumon, take them down!" BlackGarurumon charges towards Stingmon and strikes them with an ice claw, knocking them back. Stingmon responds by running forwards and attacking with a back kick, catching BGmon off guard. BGmon jumps back and fires a howling blaster. Stingmon takes flight and avoids the blast. "One of these days, people will understand what I am. They will respect me for my abilities. And then I'll never have to listen to an ass goblin like you treat me like garbage! Moon Cannon!" Stingmon fires a blast towards Revan. "What's Stingmon doing? Isn't that against the rules?!" BGmon jumps up and gets hit by the blast. They fall to the ground. "BlackGarurumon! Get up, keep fighting!" BGmon struggles to stand up. "I won't let you get hurt, Revan. You're my tamer." Stingmon swoops in and nails BGmon with a spiking strike, dealing moderate damage. "That's right, bring the pain Stingmon!"

Both teams watch on from the dugouts. Angel gets up and walks over to Judith. "Angel! Are you sure you are okay to stand?" "I'll be fine. Just need a good night's sleep. Listen, can I talk to you about something?" Judith doesn't know what Angel wants to talk about, but knows it can't be good. "Ya, okay. Shoot." Angel adjusts her wrist bracelets out of nervousness. "It's just that, I feel bad about what I said to Dante." "Don't feel that way. You don't have to like him. I know him better than any of the girls he gets crushes on, and you're better off staying out of a relationship with that melodramatic fussy pants." "It's just that, I really care for him as a friend. He's kind, and funny. I'm just more into bad boys, ya know?" "Okay, now you've lost me. Dante's a bad boy." "Ya, okay. So he's got the leather jackets and the cockiness, but that's not enough." "I don't know what kind of garbage you are used to dating, but passing up Dante because he's not edgy enough is ridiculous!" "Hey, just because I can actually get a man doesn't mean you can treat me like filth, you lonely hag!" "Oh! Now it's on! I don't know what my brother sees in you. You're nothing but a common tramp!"
