It had been about two weeks since Ren had helped Lucemon find the Digimental of loyalty. It had saved their lives, given him a power boost and a ridiculous blue tail. It had also given Ren a fragment of digicode he'd scanned with his D-scanner. It hadn't meant much of anything by itself, but it turned out to be part of a cypher used in the passages of Grandpa's digicoded notes following the ones that had led them to the cave. So that explained why they'd gone to NeoDevimon's cavern; not necessarily for the Digimental he was keeping, but for the code fragment in his data. The passages Lucemon translated worked out to a set of coordinates in the Macro Ocean. It was far enough that his Hookmon form's little sailboat wouldn't make the trip, so they sailed instead to Whitewater and looked for a boat to hire.
It took some searching. Neither had any contacts in the area (meaning Lucemon had not contacts in the area and Ren had spent three weeks here) so the best they could come up with was to look "around the docks." Eventually conversation led them to a harbormaster digimon, who directed them to the piers where they could find ships for charter. There was one in particular that stood out: an iron (or something iron-like) salvage ship with the name mostly rusted off. A large diving bell hung on a rotating crane arm above the aft deck and the entire thing swarmed with brightly colored, diminutive figures. His D-Scanner identified them as Muchomon. The Captain of the Rusty Salvager was a distracted Datamon constantly checking maps or figures with one eye. Still, he drove a hard bargain for his service and Ren traded several useful pieces of gear he had brought along with them from the re- the human world, as well as his cell phone. It didn't have service here, anyway.
Ren stepped out onto the deck of the Salvager maybe an hour after she'd left port. He and Lucemon had been going over charts with the Captain, comparing them to the information they'd decoded from the journal and setting a course. Lucemon was just finishing up; Ren had learned what he could of the differences in navigation between the worlds, helped where he could and then got out of the way. Captain Datamon had warned them he might be taking on additional passengers or security for this trip, so the young man kept an eye out as he walked to the rail to watch the ocean go by. The Captain hadn't actually said if he'd brought anyone else on.

"it's a beautiful day outside. birds are singing, flowers are blooming... on days like these, kids like you... should be burning in hell."
She said with a serious face. The kid in front of her, a Chibikamemon, look at her first with a shocked expression and later laughed out loud.
"Just like in my videogames! Thanks for playing with me"
"No problem, I like to help people"
She smiled and waved at him as the chibikamemon left, probably his break having ended and returning to his apprenticeship as a sailor.
The docks were rather busy at this time of the day, with plenty of boats and ships of different sizes getting ready to depart, already departing or returning from their daily activities. Judging by the logo and cargo, a few were fisherman ships, others seemed to transport goods from a harbor to another, and then there were others that were probably preparing to sail the waters in search adventure and treasure. The last one was the very kind of ship she was looking for, one that could satiate her wanderlust and thirst for adventure.
Dianne looked around for any ship or boat who accepted passengers for a leisure travel, but she didn't have much luck, most of them were already devoted to other activities and the few tourism ships cost an eye to pay for the fee, what with being luxury ships.
Eventually she stumbled upon a ship filled with muchomons dressed in cute sailor uniforms moving from here to there and dealing with arcane and mystic arts only a seaman can know such as moping the deck.
Just like with many other ships, she asked if she could go with them to see the sea, but once more she meet with a big no as the captain, a datamon busy examining the handywork of the crew, denied her the service as they lived off rescuing treasures from sunken ships and miscellaneous goods the sea reclamed. Then she changed strategies and asked if she could work for it, after all even if she had zero experience as a sailor, she could at least do the easier things like moping the floor and imitate what the muchomon did.
The captain finally accepted, as they were one muchomon short of having the full crew, the poor little fella being in the sickbay for a bad fish, and that's how her brief stunt as a sailor began. She changed herself into the neat sailor costumes the muchomons used, neatly put her clothes on her backpack, and started to do whatever the muchomon told her to do. One hour of hard work later, the ship was in top conditions for travel and it was just a matter of the captain deciding where their next stop was going to be, so she went to the rest cabin and slept away the time until they were on the sea

Shi had no idea what he was doing here, like seriously no idea. Shi sat somewhere in the back of the ship his eyes closed and two Agumon sitting respectivly next to him, for some reason Yuudai said he got them some sort of job, a protection or something after that fight with the MarineDevimon, how or what this was well that was up to the air for Shi, only Yuudai knew exactly what was going on or how this came about, and he managed to forget entirelly what he did or what happened, Shi didn't even know who was on this Ship or why. "Yuudai what exactly have you gotten us into this time?" Shi asked him without looking or changing his position. Yuudai looked up at the teen and smiled. "To be honest I don't know myself, all I heard was something about protection and the sea and I asked to join us right up." Yuudai said which in turn made Shi let out a loud sigh, what if they were going to destroy some city or something else as bad, and protection. Well that last part made sense for Shi, he hadn't met many stronger then him and it did seem like something Yuudai would jump first chance at to prove his power, Shi shook his head deciding that none of this really seemed to be worth it and stood up stretching a bit. "I'm going to have a look around." Shi said putting his hands in his pockets and walking out of wherever he was, he wasn't a sailor and didn't really know where he was going, he eventually found himself outside onto the deck of the ship.
Shi walked over to the railing and looked outward towards the water, an endless thing it seemed. Shi was a bit happy Yuudai brought him along, Shi was thinking about exploring this place for a while but could not think of a way to do so, no ship would cater to a teenager who wanted nothing to do and Rize could only go so far with his jets, who knows what could happen if they fly overhead. Shi turned around wanting to go back and make sure Yuudai and Yasuo weren't doing anything they shouldn't, he really didn't want them sinking the ship or anything. Shi then noticed someone on the opposite railing, some man. Was this the person Yuudai was talking about he wondered.
Shi pondered talking to him about what was going on but didn't want to look like a moron simply because he let his Digimon talk him into doing something this stupid. Shi decided to just turn back around and keep staring at the water, Yasuo would keep Yuudai in check. And Yasuo was doing just that, the two Agumon were in some sort of rest cabin both talking quietly to one another, mostly just ideas for combat and dual skills with the occasional joke in between.

Lucemon--no, Magnamon steps out onto the deck as well. He's been spending more and more time in this form, as his body becomes accustomed to the new data. He can maintain it for a fairly significant period now, and appears to be taking advantage of that. Had he been like this when they arrived, or developed a new type of silent Digivolution? Who can say? Maybe his Digicore is on vibrate.
The six-and-a-half foot tall Digimon pads across the deck and puts a three-clawed hand on the railing next to Ren, speaking in a calm, echoey voice (despite the lack of mouth), "Everything looks solid. Shouldn't be too much trouble, apparently. Which means you'd best be ready to fight something, kid,"
His golden plates seem to glow ever so slightly with some kind of inner light, giving the Digimon a very impressive appearance indeed. Very regal. Or whatever.
"Hope we find what it is you're looking for,"

"I'll be ready," Ren assured Luce', patting the D-Scanner on his belt. He shifted his weight slightly, adjusting to the weight and strength of the blue claw dropped on his shoulder. Between the new body and the armor, Luce' put on a lot of heavy muscle in this form. "And besides, I've got my best buddy in the Digital World here with me. We can handle whatever comes our way." He looked out over the water in the direction the Rusty Salvager was sailing (more chugging than sailing, but whatever), as curious as Magnamon was about what they'd find at the end of the expedition.
"So do I, Luce'. Whatever we find though, I think it's going to be important."
"Did Captain Datamon say anything to you about other passengers? He'd warned us before he might have some extra bodies on the ship, but I haven't seen much of anyone yet." He turned his back to the railing, leaning against it as he surveyed the deck. A moment's looking brought his gaze to a tall young man, maybe somewhere in his late teens, on the opposite side of the ship leaning against the far railing. Ren hadn't seen him come out, so it must have been just recently.
"Check him out," he muttered to Magnamon, nodding in Shi's direction. "Seems I've answered my own question. Sure are an awful lot of young people in your world, Luce'. I wonder how many missing child reports are because kids ended up here and never went back."

"zzz ... zzz .... hmm .... *yawn*"
The sistermon, sailor flavor, was feeling great. She was fully rested and felt like she slept for ... hours? She felt that her body was out of balance and that the ship was moving.
"Oh no, I overslept!"
She felt quite silly for having slept so much that she completely missed the departure of the ship from the docks and only god knew if they were finished and already returning, and it was all her fault. She never told anyone to wake her up when the ship was going to depart, and nobody was obligued to do it in first place as she was just extra baggage taking over the duties of a much more capable muchomon sailor.
Dianne looked around and found that she wasn't alone in the rest cabin, a pair of agumons where there as well. It was kinda weird, she could swear there were no agumons back when she took this one time job as a sailor wannabe, but then again, she kind of slept away quite a few hours and maybe the captain hired extra muscle to man the equipment. At the very least, it was obvious they weren't part of the usual crew, as none of them used the uniform of this ship's crew
"Hi there!"
She told to both agumons, leaving the bed she was in.
"Are you here to see the beauty of the sea too? Or you are here for work?"

Yasuo and Yuudai stopped talking the moment they heard a yawn and looked over, they hadn't noticed someone else here, well Yasuo figured there was a sleeping person but Yuudai was completly surprised. "Oh heya." Yuudai said, Yasuo just gave a small wave figuring it just meant the same thing. "Work mostly, though seeing the seas is a bit of a bonus." Yuudai answered, from what he could tell they were just here to make sure nothing exploded or made other things explode, protection, it was a dangerous place after all. "What about you?" Yasuo asked figuring she might as well answer herself, Yasuo didn't really notice anyone on the ship, mostly because Yuudai dragged them on with the promise of something to do, which again made Yasuo wonder what was going on, he hoped Shi would find out wherever the teen was.
Shi kept staring out towards the water, Shi heard something, it sounded like something big walking around the deck, Shi turned his head slightly to look at whatever it was, he saw a digimon with gold plated armor and blue skin under it, it didn't seem to have a mouth and it walked over to the man, his partner perhaps? Though it made Shi question something, if they had that why hire Shi and the rest to come, perhaps he was looking to much into apperance for strength, for all he knew that was a champion or higher and previous digimon didn't seem to like being scanned so he crossed doing that off his list, eventually Shi decided he was done looking at the two and returned his gaze outward waiting to get bored or for Yasuo and Yuudai to come find him.

Magnamon glances back at Shi and nods to Ren, "I've met him before, up in the clouds. A couple of weeks ago. I'm sure plenty of people have come here and stayed, or been...unable to get back to your world, kid. Best not to think about it, until there's something I can do about it,"
He sounds quite serious about that last part. He's always wanted to help Digimon and Humans alike, but that feeling is growing in intensity, even now. Sure, he's a pirate of sorts, but they're the harmless kind, right? Besides, it offers opportunities for him to help people he might not've been able to otherwise.
"That other guy's alright. His partners are a little...bicker-y, as I recall, but he's harmless enough," And that's all he really has to say, apparently.
Well, alright then.

"Harmless enough is good enough. Come on, GoldiLuce', introduce us. We're all on this thing together for at least a few days, there's a good chance we'll be working together before this boat hits lands again." Ren pushed off of the rail, patting Magnamon on the back as he started over, the digimon a few steps behind. He walked over to the young man on the other side of the ship, noting that once again someone stood a fair bit taller than him. Jesus these people were tall. Ren leaned a hip against the ship's railing, nodding to the plaid-clad young man.
"Hey. I'm Ren. The Captain said we might have other passengers." He paused a moment, searching the kid's face before repeating his statement in imperfect, mostly passable Japanese. "Good Afternoon. Ren is my name. Captain Datamon said we might have other passengers."
Under them the ship continued to chug along further from the continent, further out into the Macro Sea.It would take a day or more of sailing to get where the coordinates specified; plenty of time to get to know any other shipmates they had before they had to do... whatever they had to do.

"Oh, work? I wonder just what the captain was planning to do"
She thought that the captain just needed one more sailor to man the ship, but apparently he was planning something bigger as he hired those two agumon for heavy duty work. Were the seas that dangerous? After all agumon were combat species fit for heavy battle, or maybe he was just being careful, after all there might be pirates in the seas. Nevermind, just as she had her turn to ask, now it was her turn to answer as the agumon with belts strapped on his arms made the same question she asked.
"I came here to see the sea. It's my first time here and wanted to see what it has to offer, although to get the captain's permission to board I had to accept a part-ime work to replace a sick muchomon. I don't have any experience with ships, so I just did what the muchomons told me to do"
Dianne wasn't used to the movement of the ship, so she took the time she spent talking with the agumons to learn how to stay on foot without needing to cling to a nearby object. The ease with which the agumon could casually stay there like nothing was something to envy.
"Oh excuse me, I should've introduced myself before. I'm Dianne and I'm here to see how the sea is."
She was dying to go out and see how it was outside the rest cabin, but the manners her adoptive mother taught her said that she should wait until both parties introduced each other before leaving them alone.

Shi saw out of the corner of his eye the person who was on the opposite side had come over, he seemed to be followed by the golden digimon, was Shi right in his previous thought that they were partners or something. "Shi, yes one of my partners got us hired for protection or something, without my permission." Shi said the last part not directed at Ren but more at himself, a sort of reminded that Yuudai was in trouble for this later, not that Shi couldn't of just backed out but he wasn't that type of person, sadly.
"Since he did I have little idea of what we're actually doing here, if you could can you please tell me what this ship's searching for?" Shi asked his curiosity actually peaked, it did seem rather weird to just be going into the sea for the sake of going into the sea. The protection thing made sense, Shi was powerful and you never know when something could just try and attack you, even out in the middle of the ocean.
Yuudai decided he might have to explain. "Yeah we were hired to protect the ship in case of emergency of the combat kind. Can never be to careful." Yuudai said the last part surprising Yasuo that he said it, he was never careful. They both heard her reason and figured it wasn't worth investigating, though with the ship movement they had gotten quite used to it while she was sleeping, it was nothing compared to training to master air movements. "I'm Yuudai and this is my brother Yasuo." He introduced the both of them, Yasuo wondered why he always said his name also, Yasuo could introduce himself just fine.

"I am Magnamon. We've met before," He nods at Shi, "You knew me as Lucemon. We met in the Avalon Fields, I believe," He's certainly much shinier these days. Alright then. His armor continues to glow with a faint inner light, although given the ridiculous number of angles, it seems to catch the light quite often as well. Awful, awful form.
"I believe my...associate might be best able to explain what we're looking for," Magnamon slaps a three-clawed hand down on Ren's shoulder. Maaaaaybe just a little bit too hard. What? Strong forms are hard to get used to! Especially when you've previously been two twinky angels and a clockwork pigeon.

Ren grunted when Magnamon's hand came down on his shoulder again, wincing just a little. That was probably going to leave a bruise. "Bit heavy-handed there Luce'," he muttered to the digimon. Turning back to the young man, he offered Shi a grin. "So your partner got you into this, huh? Luce' here and I have been working together a few weeks, now. He found me right before I fell into this world. Literally, like right on my ass. Good thing too, I'd have been wandering around lost and ignorant otherwise. He's kind of my guide to this world."
"Anyway," he went on explaining. "We've been following some old digicode notes he's been translating with a little help from me. The first part led us to the lair of a NeoDevimon guarding a digimental- the thing that turned him into GoldiLuce, here. There was part of a cypher in the NeoDevimon's data that helped us crack another section of code, and that led us to the coordinates we're headed to. I guess you could call it a treasure hunt, but I'm not honestly sure yet what we're going to find."

"Ohhh, sounds like I got myself into something a lil dangerous"
Truth be told, she didn't really think well the whole boarding a random ship with an unknown destination. Actual tourist ships traveled through safe routes, as safe they could be at least, but this one might go through the waters where dangerous digimon lived. Oh well, its something that happened sometimes and if the datamon captain thought that two agumons were strong enough to handle anything the chosen route could toss at them, who was her to doubt his wisdom?
"Hi Yuudai, hi Yasuo. Nice to meet you. Let's try to get along while we are together"
The sistermon smiled at them and then gave a good look at the open door behind them. She could feel the breeze of the sea coming through it and it felt really good.
"Okay, I'm going to leave you to continue with your business, I'm really dying to see the sea!!"
She bowed in front of the powerful agumon duo and quickly (as quickly as somebody clinging to the walls and miscellaneous objects could move) walked out of the rest cabin and into the deck. Apparently there were some non-muchomon lifeforms talking there, but hey! It's the sea! Against common courtesy, she ignored them in favor of moving towards a nearby railing, strongly grabbed from it and then looked in awe the vastness of the sea.
"Woooow, so this is the sea."

"I'm sure nothing to bad will happen, we're just the backup plan in case some random evil person decides to be evil today." Yuudai said, it was the main reason he came with his brothers, if nothing else he slightly wished nothing that bad would happen, he'd never want to throw them into a dangerous situation. "Nothing bad better happen or else someone is going to not get food tonight." Yasuo threatened and Yuudai cringed knowing who that threat was for. "You keep saying that, please don't actually do it I like food." Yuudai said but Yasuo just shook his head, very easy to threaten this Digimon despite all the boasting he did.
The two watched as they left going outside after saying she was leaving them to deal with their business? Did sitting on the ground telling jokes to one another count as business. "We should go find Shi, who knows where he wandered off to." Yuudai said getting up, Yasuo nodded and stood up with him. "Yeah, though knowing him he might be on the deck." Yuudai looked at his brother before asking why. "Why would he be on the deck?" Yasuo had a answer for that right away. "Because if something does go down he'll want to react to it first, better be on the deck since no one inside the ship would try and blow it up." Yuudai agreed, it made sense. The two brothers then followed the path the Sistermon went figuring she might know where she was going, they were right in the end.
Shi looked at Lucemon, well now Magnadramon for a few moments. "Well then, you're much more." Shi said but some light reflected on the Digimon's armor hitting Shi's eye causing him to squint, he grabbed the top of his cap and covered both eyes with it. "Shiner these days." With the partner thing Shi had to admit it was weird for Yuudai to throw them onto a ship like this, normally he avoided dangerous situations like making Shi fly up or go near the frozen wasteland knowing that if something went wrong Shi could easily die, so why do it now. Good question for later.
Shi was wondering why they were following this set code, did the NeoDevimon have something near here that could be used by this man or was there something else in the water that could help with, whatever this Ren was, a Spirit tamer Shi figured since Luce seemed to be a solo so that left with only a Spirit tamer since Shi saw no trace of his partners, though they could be like Yuudai and Yasuo and down on the deck, Shi glanced over seeing some Digimon come out to the deck saying something about the sea and ignoring the trio. "Well then, I suppose I'm here to protect the ship, I'll leave the hunting of treasure to you, you leave the hunting of digimon to me." Shi said, despite getting dragged into this he wasn't about to let anything bad happen to Luce or Ren, not when he had the power to prevent it. Just as he said this the two Agumon made their way up to the deck looking around and spotting Shi, the two went over to the teen, Shi got a small half smile when he saw them come up, they didn't say anything to Shi but looked at the two who were near him. "Hey I'm Yuudai, this is my brother Yasuo, Shi's partners." Yuudai introduced them making Yasuo wonder once more why he never lets Yasuo introduce himself.
