For this thread, I want to try something different. It seems that too often some threads start slow and don't go anywhere, or people are waiting in the passenger seat while the Original Poster is driving the plot. But that is the downside to the D&D Dungeon Master style of role playing. So I wanted to try out the alternative. Posters can control NPCs, add characters, determine the outcome of battles. It's my intension to create a more stimulating and interactive RP experience. If this is something that interests you feel free to ask if you want to join. Thanks and Happy Posting!

It was a busy night in the back streets of Udagawa. Wild young adults roamed the streets, traveling from tavern to night club. It's pouring down rain tonight, and puddles of water fill the streets. Despite the crowd of people and unpleasant weather, Dante marched on. Forsaking his traditional leather jacket, Dante was wearing a long black duster, and a black hat with a brim so long, just looking down slightly covered his face. Traveling with him as usual was Wormmon, all crawled up inside Dante's red bag. Dante almost never comes to the shady part of town, but he was relentlessly searching for someone. Dante takes a turn and heads down a side alley. There he reaches a flight of stairs, leading down to a greasy saloon. Dante walks down the steps and knocks on the door.
The eye slot on the door opens up, and on the other side is a mean looking biker, with crooked yellow teeth and a fugly nose. "What are you doing here?" yelled the man. "I'm looking for someone. Don't want no trouble." The man shuts the eye slot and opens the door. Dante walks over to the bar and sits down on an old, torn up bar stool. Several regulars are staring at Dante. Someone might recognize Dante from his past encounters with Terriermon's goons. The bartender comes walking over. "So, what business have you here? Awful foolish to come walking in here." Dante reaches into a pocket in his duster and throws a small bag on the counter. "I was hoping to strike a deal with someone in your organization. Consider this a gesture of good will." The bartender opens up the bag and takes out a gold coin. He sticks it in his mouth and bites down. "I understand the need to be cautious, but I assure you I'm here as a business partner."
The bartender takes the bag of coins and puts them in his pocket. "Now you're talking. Who are you looking for, and what can I get you to drink?" "I wish to speak with Ivory, and I'll have a mojito." The bartender gives Dante a dirty look. "I can find your woman, but we ain't got any of those fruity drinks in here!" "Ah, my apologies. Let's start off with a rum & coke." "You got it. Ivory, that's the woman who always wears white robes, right?" "Ya that's her." "Don't know why you're looking for that chick. She gives me the creeps." The bartender makes Dante his drink and goes in the back to make some calls. Wormmon gets restless waiting in the bag. "How long do I have to stay in here?" "Hopefully not much longer. Sorry buddy, this situation is not ideal." The bartender comes walking back. "You're in luck. Ivory's on assignment nearby, and because of your generosity, she will be arriving shortly. I've arranged a room for you to talk business." "Very good. Thank you for your time." Dante stands up and starts heading to the back. "Hey, aren't you going to pay for that?" "You mean the gold wasn't enough? Screw it, start a tab, man." Dante enters the VIP booth and sits down. Wormmon crawls out of the bag and stands on the table. "You really need a bigger bag. What's for dinner?" "I'll ask for some menus. We might be hear a while."
Meanwhile, Ivory was on assignment, running surveillance on the rooftops. She's waiting for a specific target to show up. Ivory receives a call on her communicator. "Ivory, we need you to report back to base right away." "You've got to be joking. I'm on assignment!" "This is an order from the higher ups. The guy's probably not even gonna show up. Besides, there's some big money on the table for this job." "Fine. Copy that, Command. I am returning now, over." Ivory grabs her equipment and heads back to base. It was highly unusual to call in a field agent when they were on patrol, but her current assignment was just a standard job. If there was money to be made, Ivory was glad to abandon her post. However, it would have been better if she had stayed, even for a minute longer. Shortly after Ivory had left, the target she was looking for arrived in the area. And they had some unusual company.
