Dust had become a bit braver with his exploration of the human world, so much he had started wandering around some large area during the day, he had paid attention to the cycle in which people visited areas and while this wasn't the same place it would go by the same rules, right? Oh how wrong he was as the impmon his in a tree watching crowds of people walking around, it would appear this was a place people went ibt during the day. A small miscalculation on his part. This wasn't so bad though, he was hidden well and he couldn't be seen so nothing bad was going to happ- Dust jumped as he heard a scream, jumped so bad he fell out of the tree and into some hole in the wall falling into a long hallway right on his back. "What was that?" Dust asked himself, little did he know some girl had just gotten a break up text and that was the scream, though he would never know seeing as he was now in the building that was about to be full of humans. Two words came to his mind that cannot be said but discribed what was going on better the. any sentence
Dust quickly ran into the first open door he saw. Luckily a broom closet and slammed the door behind him, sadly a bit louder then he wanted.

Arriving to school a little earlier than she had intended, Maia found herself just sitting on a bench outside for a while. After getting bored listening to a group of gossiping girls next to her, she stood up, deciding that maybe it would be better to just have to sit in class and wait for it to start. Trying to fix her bangs a little, the blonde drowsily made her way through the halls of the school. Mornings really weren't her thing. Especially when a digital bunny monster had decided that he was far better than an alarm clock. She couldn't deny it, though. Anything jumping on her stomach repeatedly was a sure way to wake her up when she didn't want to!
The sound of a door slamming jolted the teen out of her sleepy state, as she began to look around for the source. Rounding a corner, she looked to see what could have caused the sound, but all the classrooms seemed to have their doors open still. The only closed door was a janitor's closet, near a window, but she couldn't spot anyone who would have made such a ruckus with it. Did someone get shoved in the closet? Maia didn't see anyone around that could bully someone, so she figured she may as well just investigate. Maybe the closet had become a great place to hide for a quick nap?
Starting to open the door, she thought she might have heard something, so she sighed a, "look, I know it's early, but you can't just--" before opening the door enough to not see a person at all, but a little... something? Nope. It was too early for this. Nope, nope, nope. Almost as quickly as she had opened the door, she simply slammed it shut again, and stared at the handle. Well, it was official, the girl was going crazy. There couldn't have been something alive in the closet, anyway, right? It was early! The cleaning supplies had to be playing tricks on her eyes!
But, she had to check once more, right? Just to reassure her mind, the teen began to pull the door open again, notably more slowly.

The Impmon was a bit to panicked to notice the door open the first time but the second he heard it close again he almost jumped, looking around he figured out he picked the worst spot to go into, whatever this room was had no exits or holes that he could escape from. Dust looked at the door once more hoping that noise of a second slam was just him panicked and over worried, not the most logical but better then the reality. However it seemed fate had other plans as he heard the door handle turn and the door open slowly. Dust could not think of what to do, he leaned against one of the walls next to the door.
Dust waited for the door to open so he could slip out while the one opening it was looking for him, at least he assumed that's what it was or the door slam would make no sense. "Just please don't look this way." He mumbled quietly to himself as he waited.

Taking a few deep breaths, Maia opened up the closet door again, without stepping in. Maybe, this was just a stupid prank. After all, it wouldn't be beyond other students to try to trap an unsuspecting girl in the closet. The main thought stayed that the girl was completely insane and had monsters on the brain after a few hectic weeks. There was no way that she was getting enough sleep. Hey, maybe she was just having a dream! That would make sense!
But, a small sound made her look exactly where the monster was hoping that she wouldn't. Amber eyes landed on a purple thing and blinked repeatedly. Was this the part where she was supposed to scream? "You're, uh," she paused, trying to think of a good way to word what was on her mind. "You're not a student," it sure seemed like Maia was just on a roll with pointing out really stupid, obvious things lately! Apparently, digital creatures just brought out that side of her. If given another chance to talk, she mumbled, "what are you doing in a closet?" Better yet, what was it doing in her school?

Dust was about to go through with his plan but he heard the person say something, he turned around looking at her for a moment before repeating. "Student?" Dust paused perplexed at that. It was obvious he wasn't right? Dust let her speak once more before talking himself. "I fell through that and panicked ran into that, closet." Dust said pointing up to the window, now looking at it he was rather unlucky to get the angle just right to fall in, smooth move dust. "What's a Student?" Dust asked forgetting he was supposed to be either running or getting out of here, both better option but any chance to learn something else he would take, who knows it might of just helped with his memory problems. Doubtful but Dust was hopeful.

Well, it talked. That meant it had to be a Digimon, right? The question was, was it some unfortunate person stuck as a Digimon, or was this one legitimately one-hundred percent digital monster? Spirit users sure did know how to make an awfully blurry line. But, it didn't seem quite as human as she was used to. "You fell through the window?" How did that even happen? Sure, there were trees out there, but there was no way someone could accidentally fall in from one! ...Right?
"Oh, uh," what was a good way to explain a student? Either this was a really good actor, or this really was a Digimon. It certainly didn't look like a baby or in-training, though, so she would have thought it would know a little more about its surroundings! "A student is... Well, I'm a student," the teen tried to use as an example. "This is school, and we learn things here. The students are the people that come here to learn." Was that a good enough explanation? Probably not, but Maia never said she was good at this! "Does that make sense?"
Now, she'd pause, as if something else was registering. The creature kind of looked like the combination of two of her recently-met friends when they turned into a Digimon. But, a few things were off about it. Were there different variants of these creatures? It only made sense, since not every person looked alike. "My turn for a question again. Do you have a name?"

Dust looked back at the thing he fell through, so that's what it was called, he wondered if going back out the same way was a option, he doubted it considering he fell out of a tree and who knows what was out there. "So that's why so many people showed up this early." Dust mumbled making a mental note of this, it would come in handy when he was looking for a way back to wherever he came from. "Oh, yes I do. It's Dust. At least I think it is." Dust said mumbling out that last part out, he couldn't exactly say his name with confidence considering he didn't even remember what he was for a while, but it was the only name he could give.
"What about you?" Dust asked figuring they most likely had a name, every human he met so far did so it would make sense, though the question of why she didn't react like others did bother him a bit he decided to just be happy it turned out this way.

Wow, the strange digimon really seemed to have no clue about any of this stuff! Maia had kind of thought he was pulling her leg. Apparently not! "I'm Maia," she responded, giving Dust a funny look. Did he say that he 'thought' that was his name? What, did the creature not even know what he was called? That was a little concerning, if so! Maybe she'd misheard, though. After all, it was kind of mumbled.
Looking away for a moment, the tamer made sure the hallway was still quite empty. People would surely start coming in for class, soon, though! What was she going to say about the purple Digimon if they saw him? After all, this one couldn't fit in her bag! "So, I don't want to make you feel rushed, but," Maia looked back to the new face, "do you have some sort of escape plan? I don't think you should be seen by all of the students. I mean, no offense." Was that kind of insulting? Did he know that people weren't really supposed to know about his existence? "But, I don't know what happens when people see... uh. Things that are not usually here." Was that a nice way of calling him abnormal? It was also a way of commenting that his species was also not one that people knew of! Though, judging by how many Digimon she'd met lately, maybe Maia was overreacting? She didn't want to risk finding out with the confused creature's life, though!

Dust saw the look she gave him and wondered if he should explain why he added that part. He decided it wouldn't hurt to tell her. "Sorry I have amnesia, I can't really be confident in telling you my name when I hardly know myself." Dust explained thinking that would also cover why he didn't know about this world, which was why he was scouting before but that ended poorly. "A escape plan, I don't have one but.." Dust paused for a moment because the plan involved her, Dust was sure there were people still around that window and him climbing could cause attention. "Can you direct me to a exit, I don't know this place at all." Dust asked, she said students go to school and that she was a student, asking for a bit of help was the smarter idea, only other way was distract people with a fire pillar and run, but Dust didn't want to do that.

"That's awful," the teen frowned slightly, hearing about Dust's amnesia. "I hope your memories return soon." Maybe. What if they did, and he actually turned out to be a very violent Digimon? He really didn't come off as one now, but it was hard to say what anyone was like prior to a memory wipe. The fact that the creatures could get amnesia caused a bit of concern for Maia, as well. What other ailments could befall the digital beings?
Hearing out the request, the blonde looked around again. "Oh, uh, yeah. I can help you find one. But, I need to think of one that's not going to be as busy." That was easier said than done. After all, during a time when students were more likely to come through the doors, it was awfully hard to find an empty one! The gym's exit stuck in her mind, but the problem came that there was a good chance someone was playing a game there before class. Time was running out, and the risk was going to just increase if she stood around like a moron. "Okay, so, I'll give you two options," the girl decided, finally. "You can either hide in the closet for about... fifteen minutes, and I'll get you out while everyone's in homeroom. Or, we can try to get you out through the gym's exit right now. But, I'm not sure if anyone's in there right now, so that's the risk." Worst case, she'd be late for her class and say that she lost track of time or something. It was nothing she couldn't figure out later.

Dust smiled at the girl, he was trying his hardest but it was annoying having to deal with it he just wanted to know who he was, was that so hard. He listened to both choices, not knowing what gym or homeroom was he listened to both and thought it over for a moment, one was quicker but the other seemed safer. His luck had been bad lately so would the safer one be better. Dust felt that the gym might be better, he wanted to get out fast. "Let's go for the waiting, better safer then sorry, my lucks be terrable lately." Dust said, he was willing to wait, he was used to waiting for humans to pass so how would this be different, he just had to be quiet.

Maia nodded at the Digimon's decision. It probably was for the best. "Good plan. My luck's been a bit off lately, too," she admitted. Her luck wasn't the only thing. Everything was pretty off, ever since she had gotten an egg with an alien inside. Ever since then, it had been like a stupid roller coaster that never stopped. Hopefully, this wasn't what being an adult was going to be like.
"Okay, so," she pointed at one of the back corners in the closet, "you're probably best sitting back there, with.. uh," a thought later, the girl had pulled off her school blazer and carefully dropping it on top of Dust. "Hide under that." That was stupid, but if he hid well enough, in the case someone opened the closet, they'd probably look past him. If a teacher confronted her, she'd make up something on the spot. Once the Digimon was in place, she'd begin to close the door, adding, "try not to make any sounds, okay?"

Dust looked over at the area she pointed out, he would of tried degenerating back into his in-training but that was harder then evolving to him, somehow. Dust gave a small nod and walked over but first something fell on his head covering him. He pulled it up and looked back at her. "Yeah I know, thanks by the way. Sorry I've been trouble." Dust said, he felt bad he had been nothing but trouble now after just meeting her, it was all his fault and she was just helping, felt nice knowing people in this world could be so helpful, made this no memory thing a bit easier. Dust went over and sat down closing his eyes deciding he would use this time to think.

Maia paused, hearing an apology from the Digimon. "You're no problem at all!" At this, she gave him a surprised look, and shook her head, "trust me. You're way easier than what I deal with at home." Oh, god. Home. Her bedroom was probably a wreck again. Kyaromon hated being left alone. And, on top of that, whenever she took him someplace, he tried to put her in awkward situations. One of these days, he was surely going to get the both of them in big trouble.
Closing the door, the girl waited until students started coming in. It didn't take long, but she found herself keeping out of the way of some kids who decided that balled up socks made great pretend-baseballs. Playing on her phone, the girl leaned against the window nearby, and kept an eye for when everyone was finally piling into their classes. Instead of going to her's, she walked down the hall and hid out in the bathroom for a few minutes, until she knew the halls should be empty. Carefully, she made her way back out to the closet, checking to make sure that no teachers were in sight, before opening the closet door.
"Okay, we should be good. But, we'll still want to hurry."

Dust sat quietly reflecting on a few things, the first was what exactly happened when he heard that scream, it sounded like someone was just stabbed or something, scared him right out of the tree. Dust eventually got bored after a bit, he would test his moves out but he figured fire plus jacket equals bad explanation on his part. Dust eventually heard the door open and a familiar voice, standing up he crumpled the thing he was hiding in and handed it back to her. "Lead the way I'll follow" Dust said waiting for her to tell him or show him where to go.
