"Okay," the teen hummed, as she put her jacket back on, and turned to begin walking down the hall. From where they were, the gym was a little distance, so she was a bit edgy about walking in front of the classroom doors. Luckily, though, all of them had been closed at this point. For the most part, the girl just kept a steady walk, so that nobody would worry about someone running down the halls.
Still, Maia would throw glances at Dust regularly through the walk. "So, uh, you're entirely a Digimon, right? Like, not a person at all?" Wow, awkward conversation time. You can't just ask people that out of the blue! Wasn't it rude? But, the tamer couldn't help but be curious! She'd never met a lone Digimon before today, after all!

Dust followed after her quickly but noticed the occasional glance back, at first he figured it was to just be sure he was behind her but then she asked a question which made Dusts mind stop for a moment. "Person?" Dust repeated, wow he was doing a lot of that today. Could it be possible he was a amnesiac human trapped in a digimon that made his mind almost fry with the realization that maybe that was true. Dust was about to talk but something in the back of his head or mind or whatever kept saying no, despite the possibility that part held firm telling him he was not. "No, just a Digimon no human." Dust replied firmly but it felt like he was telling himself more then Maia.
This did make Dust wonder though. Was that why she helped him because of the slim chance he was really a human. "Why do you ask?" Dust questioned, he hoped that wasn't the reason.

Maia was about to explain what a person was, but it seemed like the Digimon had grasped the word. After all, it was pretty hard not to know what a person was. The term 'student' was a bit more understandable to not know. At least he seemed relatively certain that he wasn't a person. It would be awfully hard to fix him, if he was. A thought crossed her mind, though, as a good way to figure it out. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out her digivice. It wasn't necessarily the same as a Spirit User's, but it could help ring a bell. "So, you don't remember ever having something kind of like this, right?" Maia lowered the device, but kept a decent grip on it. "It would be shaped a bit different, but they look somewhat similar." Without one, there was no way he'd be able to digivolve, and she was pretty sure that the owners couldn't keep their forms without them. But, that was a big theory, considering she only knew tamers couldn't help their digimon without them.
Pausing at the corner of the hall, the girl paused to glance around the way. A couple of the faculty members were talking, so she paused and waited until she could hear them walk into the room that they were outside of. "I've met a few people that have turned into Digimon, but never a digimon by themself."

Dust looked at the digivice for a few moments, like with the name Dust he recalled something, nothing whole but a feeling that made him feel odd about this, but he held firm because it didn't help him recall ever using one just seeing one used. "Sorry, nothing except I think I've seen someone use one of those before, the exact type and size." Dust answered the truth, no need to lie that wasn't like him. "Though I know I cannot be stuck in a digimon body, I can." Dust paused for a moment hearing something outside, but it turned out to be nothing, they were safe for now. "I can digivolve without a digvice or a tamer." Dust told her. "If you want I could show you." Dust asked, she might want to see it to believe it.

Well, it was interesting to know that the creature had met a tamer, at least. But, being able to digivolve without a device was actually interesting! Honesty, she'd only ever seen her baby digimon become an in-training, and that had been entirely on accident. "I always wondered if that was something Digimon could do," but, she also hadn't really been sure if the creatures could actually live without a human in some form. Looking around first, she sized the digimon up. "You... won't, like, break anything if you do, right?" That seemed like an awfully important question. After all, nobody seemed sure about the size of Digimon's evolutions.
"I mean, it'd be really cool to see, as long as you don't go destroying the school or anything." Probably a good thing to throw out there, right?

Dust shrugged. "I don't know for sure if every digimon can do it alone." When she asked if he was going to break something or destroy the school he just gave her a blank look for a moment. "I think you have the wrong idea, I can Digivolve but right know I can only go backwards to my In-training form, I just figured you'd want to see to believe." Dust said with a small chuckle, destroying the school she expected far more then he could deliver, though now with exact placements of his attack maybe he could break the school, would be easy to stop him from doing it though. "It won't be anything big, still want to see it?" Dust asked figuring she might not want to seeing as in-training isn't that great.

"Oh, thank goodness," the girl breathed a sigh of relief. She was worried he'd become a giant dinosaur or something. A smaller form was more than something she could handle! Then, another thought came, "wait, why didn't you just become smaller before? You'd have been ten times easier to hide, you know." Maybe, there was a logical reason. Or, maybe the digimon forgot.
Looking around again, the girl made sure nobody would spot them, before nodding, "of course I want to see it. I've only seen a digimon actually do anything was once." And, that digimon had the hiccups. It was very stupid and uneventful. Who digivolved from hiccups? Plus, the concept that a digimon could revert in form was a very good one. Maybe, if Kyaromon's rookie form was too big, she could make him go back! This all eased a lot of nerves. Even if they were still in a fairly conspicuous area!

Dust let out a small sigh. "While I can do it digivolving is a bit harder for me, it takes a moment to focus. Also it slipped my mind for a bit, hard to remember you can make yourself into another form." Dust said, he only had 3 days to his abilities so he cut himself some slack. Dust first took off the broken pendant around his neck and handed it to her. "Can you hold this, it doesn't change with me." Dust said and if she took it or not he'd put it on the ground if the answer was no. Dust closed his eyes and focused for a bit soon the degeneration started as his body started changing back to his in-training form which felt weird after getting used to legs for a while. "Well this is it." Dust said. It was a bit weird to be even shorter then her now he didn't like this that much. "Yeah sadly I keep forgetting I can do this." Dust said a bit embarrassed about it, in his defense he was panicked.

Maia nodded, taking the pendant into her hand, carefully. She glanced it over briefly, before watching the creature de-volve. Wow! That was kind of weird, but at the same time, "you're kind of adorable." The girl had to point that out, apparently, as it slipped from her lips before she had a chance to stop it. Kneeling down a little, to be at a closer height, she tilted her head. Maybe all in-trainings were supposed to be cute. Perhaps, it was their defense mechanism! Nobody would want to eat something adorable, right?
"You know, like this, I can just carry you someplace safe, right?"

Dust wasn't very sure what adorable was but didn't question it, he kept doing that and it was time to stop repeating everything he didn't know about, though with that being taken to safety wasn't the worse plan out there, just a bit embarrassing to be carried like that. "Uh yeah, like I said I forgot." Dust said with a small laugh, it was a bit funny that he did forget seeing as he had amnesia, he should be focusing on remembering not forgetting things he could do. "Yeah good idea. We should go with that." Dust said wondering where he'd go after this, he had little idea of where to go.

Reaching out to pick up the blob, she made sure to keep a good hold on his pendant so it wouldn't fall when she moved. Soon, she was standing like normal, holding the creature to her chest, similar to how she usually held Kyaromon. But, she held him a little more loosely than her own digimon, in the case he needed down. "I can just pretend you're a cute pillow or something like this," she pointed out. It was really weird holding onto a Digimon that wasn't hers. Actually, it felt almost like she was betraying her own partner! She could imagine him sniffing her clothes and giving offended looks, like a dog.
Heading toward the gym again, the girl thought it might be nice to make idle chat, still. "So, what's your plan of action after you're free from school?"

Dust was picked up, when she said something about a cute pillow he wondered exactly what cute was and why he was apparently it, so his Impmon for wasn't cute but this was, Dust was confused. When asked what he was going to do he though about it for a moment before coming up with something. "Try and find something to restore my memories, I don't know why but I just feel, like I have to." Dust said a bit unsure of himself he had no idea what he would do but he was going to do it. "Though will you get in trouble for helping me, you said you were a student. Not that I'm not happy for the assist I'm just curious." Dust asked wondering, did people get in trouble if they didn't go or something. He had a lot to learn of the human world.

Since the digimon didn't seem to be questioning Maia's words anymore, she assumed that he must be understanding her better. Maybe, it was just the shock of everything around him. "Yeah, finding your memories would probably be good." Again, this was only a probably. "But, what's going to help you remember anything in the human world? Shouldn't you go where most of your kind is?" That was something that was nagging her, too. Didn't Digimon live in the Digital World?
Hearing the question of trouble, the girl hesitated. She hadn't ever actually skipped a class before, but ended up shrugging. "Uh. I didn't think that far through, yet!" Maia admitted, with a nervous laugh. "Maybe I should just call my mom and tell her I got sick, so she'll call the school. That way, they'll pardon the absence." Shame on her! Skipping classes! "Kyaromon would probably love it if I came home early, anyway." After all, it was still really early in the morning. She could come home ten minutes early and the little alien would be thrilled to see her. "Why? Are you worried about me?"

Dust closed his eyes, he hadn't looked over it but that was the one thing he wa Ted to see on his own. "Truth be told, I don't know how to get back, that's why I was here, one person told me there was a way but he left before I could ask more." Dust said, he wouldn't of come here if he knew where it was, though he fully doubted now that it was here, to many people for this to be the way back. But something also bugged him, he didn't know much but he knew some human world terms so that's one reason he stuck around so long, but So far it got him no where fast.
When asked if he was worried he quickly said. "Of course, you've helped me out, I would hate for you to get into trouble due to me." Dust replied, she had helped quite a bit and he doubted he'd find the exit on his own, let alone get out with no one seeing him.

"Makes sense," the tamer hummed. Wow, these halls sure did seem to talk forever to walk down! "I've been to the portal at the train station, but you need a digivice to get to the train," Maia informed, before adding, "and... someone mentioned something about swimming in the river, but it's really gross and I'm not sure if they were serious." At least that helped a little, right? "If you're serious about it, I can take you to the train station sometime. I've never been outside of the main city there, though, so I don't know what all you'd find."
Maia wanted to offer to go with him to make sure he made it safely, but she'd probably only weigh the lost digimon down. Finally, they'd reached the gym, and the girl pushed open the door to the large room, glancing around. Thankfully, nobody was in the room! She'd half expected a coach or something to be conveniently there, just to make her life difficult. Maybe, things were looking up! Now, she just had to make it to the exit on the far wall, and they'd be set to go. "You can think it over for a while, though. I'm here most days around this time, so it's probably pretty easy to find me."
