Rise and Surprise! [Shichiro/Kiyoshi]

Ah, last night had been quite the success. Shichiro had brought his new boyfriend Takahiro over, to positive reactions from the entire Inoue family. Kiyoshi had fallen asleep while they were all watching movies together, and had no doubt been carried to bed by Shichiro.
However, early the next morning, there's a crash as Shichiro's door slams open and Kiyoshi comes running into the room, "Shichy! Shichy! Come on! You gotta see this right now!" He grabs his brother's hand just tries to haul him out of bed. How far is the nine year old going to get with that? Not very far, but it might get his brother's lazy butt moving faster, at the very least!

Shichiro and Takahiro were snuggled up on the couch together, arms around each other as they watched a monster with visible zippers prance around a television making growling noises, silhouetted by the setting sun. The burning orange sky was reflected in the ocean and the sandy beach on which their couch sat, and the two boys laughed and laughed at the monster's antics. Turning to his boyfriend, Shichiro leaned in to peck him on the lips. And in response, Takahiro's lips parted- and he began to shout.
"Shichy! Shichy! Come on! You gotta see this right now!" Startled violently from a deep sleep and pleasant (if strange) dream, Shichi flailed a little as he was dragged from the depths of slumber. His arm was grabbed before his eyes had even cleared and in his momentary panic he cooperated, pushing himself in the direction of the pull with his feet. Of course, he was in bed, so all this accomplished was a sudden drop and a loud, impolite curse he wasn't supposed to use in front of his brother.
Groaning and rubbing at his eyes, Shichiro pulled himself to a sitting position on the floor to look at his brother wearily. "What, Kiyoshi? Can't it wait until-" He glanced at the clock on his bedside table. "Until it's not seven in the morning? Come on, man. It's Saturday." Well, now we know where Yoshi learned to whine.

Yoshi continues to tug at his brother's hand, "No, you gotta come to my room an' see it!" He uses both of his hands to pull before stopping and taking a few steps back and plucking a device from the back pocket of his pyjamas. The device is definitely familiar to Shichiro, even if the colour scheme is a little...unusual. He holds it up, "C'mon!"And with that, he turns and darts from the room, the sound of his bare feet hitting the floor carrying quite well. Oh dear. What has he gotten himself into this time? More importantly, what's he dragging Shichiro into? Utter lunacy, of course. Hey, maybe it's a trap! It could be the Black Queen's plan! Pretend to be Kiyoshi and trick a sleepy Shichiro into a room by himself so she can blow him up with her chess lasers! ...It could happen. |

Shichiro, still trying to drag himself from the clutches of a barely-remembered dream, just sat on the floor and stared after his brother, not comprehending. Why did Yoshi have his old digivice? Why was it white? Where did he- oh my god Kiyoshi. It clicked, suddenly, and he scrambled to his feet, snatching his Digivice iC off the bedside table and realizing Gawain in a burst of white light. "Come on," he said simply, dashing out of the room after his brother. Gawain was inexplicably close behind, considering he had feet attached to the bottom of his body.
Shichiro burst into his brother's room, eyes wild and whipping around the room, very concerned for what he might find there. If Yoshi had a digivice, then that means...

Yup. There it is. Sitting on a pillow Yoshi has apparently placed on the floor. Shining in the morning light is a solid gold Digitama. As Yoshi gets closer, his Digivice reacts and displays a bouncing GIF of the egg on its screen. "Look, Shichy! Izzis like the egg you said Gawain came in?"Like, all of ten seconds later, the egg develops a crack, and then pops open, revealing a pair of identical Digimon. Little white blobs with golden wings. They immediately tackle Yoshi to the floor and begin to giggle as they bounce on his chest. Yoshi doesn't seem overly concerned, either...  The image on the D3 (now on the floor) changes to pixelated images of the two Digimon on the screen. They don't appear to be able to speak, just making 'Boop!' noises every time they bounce. What is happening?

Shichiro just stared. He couldn't help it; he just woke up, his brain was trailing a little behind and two little digimon were using his brother as a trampoline. His brother woke up with a digimon. Two, in fact. What the hell. "What the hell," he echoed out loud. "Gawain... what's going on here?" The pawnchessmon peered curiously at the two happily bouncing digimon, clanking and clinking forward to study them more closely. "Twins m'lord," He declared. "It happens sometimes. Some believe it happens when a digicore contains so much potential power it cannot be contained in a single form."
Frowning, Shichiro held out his digivice and tapped a function key. They screen lit up with a small holographic display showcasing some basic data and a pixelated version of the two digimon. 'Puttimon,' it announced using the ARROW system's voice. 'Mini Angel digimon. Innocent and friendly, their Angel Dust can stun the unwary.' After a brief pause, it beeped and continued. 'Warning. Unregistered bio-emergence detected in your vicinity.'
Shichiro sighed, reaching to put his digivice away in a pocket only to realize he hadn't thrown his pajama pants on. And underwear didn't usually have pockets. Oh, well. He walked over and crouched near his brother, eyeing the adorable little monsters a little warily. "Well, Yosh. Looks like you're one of the... what did you call it, Gawain?'
"The DigiDestined, sire. Those humans fated to be partnered with digimon. I've never seen one with twins."

"Can I keep them, Shichy? They're so cool!" D'aww. How can you say no to that face, Shichiro? No. Really. How can you? You heartless bastard! What? Oh, right. You should get a chance to respond first. Tch. Whatever.
Yoshi sits upright, the two monsters hopping to either side of him where they continue to bounce happily on the floor, emitting 'Boop!' sounds. They're...weirdly happy about something. Everything, maybe? Just like Yoshi! A perfect match, clearly.
Yoshi holds a hand above each of them, and they proceed to jump just high enough to prod his palms with the protuberance on the tops of their heads. 'Boop!'. He slowly moves his hands higher and higher, until they're jumping a full foot off the ground!

"Uh. Well, I guess maybe you should ask mom and dad. But... I guess they're your partners Yosh," Shichiro said, his voice full of disbelief. This was a lot to process before noon on a Saturday. Shichiro, you lazy bum. He dropped to a sitting position, peering closely at the two little bouncing mini angel... things. Digimon were weird. "Where did you find the egg and digivice?" he asked curiously, reaching out towards the neared Puttimon with one finger. The wheels were already turning; he was going to have to take Kiyoshi into HQ to get registered. He wondered if they saw many tamers this young...
He needed to call Takahiro. This was a bit out of his experience level.

"Yay!" Yoshi cheers loudly. Yup. The rest of the household will be up soon. Good. Someone else will be able to deal with it, and Shichiro can go back to bed! Although, let's be honest, he probably won't. Not with an even-more-hyperactive-than-usual Kiyoshi bouncing around the house like some kind of terrifyingly adorable tennis ball.
The Puttimon that Shichiro slowly goes to poke stares at him, and then leaps forwards and bop his finger with the top of its head, 'Boop!'. It smiles, and continues to bounce in place. Whatever they are, they don't seem to be threatening as such, just...crazy and confusing.
"Oh! Um. Well, I came in and they were sittin' there!" He points at a spot in front of his TV, "They were on the floor, but I thought a pillow'd be better for an egg!"

Shichiro stood up, bemused, and padded to the door. "Keep an eye on them please, Gawain?" The knight nodded to his partner as Shichi left the room, returning to his own to pull on a t-shirt and a pair of flannel pajama pants. He grabbed his phone from its place on his nightstand as well, tapping out a quick message to Takahiro as he walked. You're never going to believe this. Guess what I woke up to this morning. Besides Yoshi yelling. He stood in the doorway and snapped a quick photo of the bouncing 'boop'-ers, attaching it to the text.
There's TWO of them.

There's no response from Takahiro, likely due to how early it is. That boy could sleep through a hurricane made of dynamite and thunderclouds. Yoshi seems to be having fun though, jumping up and down with his two new BFFs. However, after only a few minutes of this, there's a sudden beeping from the white Digivice on Kiyoshi's floor. The two Digimon suddenly change shape, becoming bipedal, with little wings. Their noises are now more along the lines of 'Yay!', indicating they can speak, but...there they are. Having Digivolved. Already. Wonderful.

'Kyupimon,' ARROW announced for Shichiro's benefit as he snapped another picture and forwarded it to Takahiro. 'In-Training Mini-Angel Digimon.' This was just going to get weirder, wasn't it. Of course it is, Shichi thought to himself as he watched his brother cheerfully jump around with his two new partners. And complicated, if they keep digivolving like this. What if they get big? He looked over to Gawain, who seemed to be watching with a mixture of concern and... approval? Dammit, Gawain. "Do they usually digivolve this fast?"
"Sometimes m'lord," the PawnChessmon answered. "They seem to have quite a bond with Kiyoshi. They could end up being quite powerful." Shichi just groaned, dropping to sit cross-legged on the floor next to his own partner, watching the excitement. "He's nine. He doesn't need power, he needs stability. And, um, friends that aren't going to attract all kinds of attention. Dangerous attention. You and I have already been in life-threatening situations."
"And I handled them quite finely with you assistance, sire. Imagine what Yoshi could do with two partners."
Sigh.

Having spotted Shichiro and Gawain again, the two In-Training Digimon bounce over to them (despite the fact that they could pretty easily fly, now...). They both tackle Gawain and proceed to jump on him for a few moments in a playful manner, before they both leap up and tackle Shichiro as well. They aren't particularly heavy, but...there they are!
"Hi!"
"Hi!
"Hi!"
"Hi!"
"Hi!"
"Hi!"
Ah. Good. It begins.
"Hi!"
Dammit, don't join in, Yoshi.

"No, I- oof!" Shichiro was on his back, grunting with each landing of adorable little angelic feet punctuated by an enthusiastic 'Hi!' This was weird. Finally, when he decided it was time to breath again,Shichiro caught a Kyupimon in either arm before their landing and shifted back into a sitting position. He had been wondering if they would talk, so at least he knew the answer to that. "Hi," he answered finally. "I'm Shichiro. Kiyoshi's older brother. This is Gawain, my partner digimon."
"Do you two know what you're doing here? How you got here?"

"Hi Shicho!" Okay. I guess that's as close as they can get, being only a few minutes old. "Hi!" They take turns waving at Gawain, and then at Shichiro, "Um. How'd we get here?" One asks. The other blinks in confusion, "I'unno. Stuff!" Alright. "We're here to play with him!" One points at Kiyoshi, as the other continues, "We're meant to be his friends!"
...Okay.
Kiyoshi cheers, "Yay! New friends!"
