Okay, so maybe it wasn't part of some ninja code. But, hey! It worked! Score for Kuu! Though, it was still a mystery to all involved if the little fox had just made up something that bizarre in hopes to cease fire. Confusion and stupidity could certainly make for a halt in any bad situation! Or, really, any situation at all! Maybe his tamer wasn't regretting how random he was at a time like this.
Looking up at Alicia, the blonde found herself needing more than a couple deep breaths. The Steeldramon did not look good. Maia put her digivice back into her pocket, relieved that she didn't have to try to work the faulty item. Knowing her luck, somehow, she would have probably de-digivolved the rookie, instead of being of any assistance. This was good.
Seeing the Gryzmon, the tamer found herself glad that they hadn't ended it's life. It made it a little more clear that there were occasional benefits from not getting too carried away in a battle. After all, they would have had a harder time collecting the prize that Alicia sought. All of this was really just a huge relief. And, on top of that, the Ninjamon seemed to only be more alright with the situation when given a description of what they were looking for.
As the Ninjamon sat down, Maia found herself still wanting to stand, keeping close to Alicia as she reverted forms, also sitting. "Are," she hesitated, taking a look at the woman, "are you alright?" After what Alicia had been through today, the tamer couldn't imagine it felt even a little good. Aside from actually getting what they came here for, that was. That was the only particularly good part of the adventure! That, and maybe it would settle the fox Digimon down from needing to be a hero for a while.
Or, it was going to make it worse. After all, he'd managed to stop a bunch of ninjas from killing his friends! Though, he didn't actually do anything other than ramble nonsense. That was still a victory, though! One that Maia would surely be hearing stories about for at least the next week. Considering he was still rambling about wanting to fly from the time they had met a Patamon spirit user, she had to wonder if it would actually expand several months. If this was the most exciting act of heroism that the Digimon would be able to brag about, she'd let him have it. The blonde would prefer this story over anything else that could come up, after all.
And then, Kuu decided another potential life goal. "I'd like to be a ninja..." Oh, great.

Alicia managed to throw a pained smile Maia's way at the question. "Oh... I'll be fine. I just hurt everywhere, even in places I didn't know a person could hurt in... No big deal..." It was a terrible attempt at making a joke about her injuries to be sure. At the very least, though, it looked like her Steeldramon form bore the actual damage, and Alicia's human body only had echoes of what had happened to her.
"I think... Steeldramon will be out of commission for a bit, just on the severity of the damage. No idea when I'll be able to use it again. I guess its a good thing I'm getting a new Spirit Totem to make use of, huh?" the Spirit User continued, huffing a bit. "Thanks for being around Maia. You and Kuu saved my life twice already... Who knows what would've happened if you two weren't there."
There was silence again for a moment, until Kuu spoke up about his new goal in life. Too that, the assembled Ninjamon all laughed in good nature. It seemed the declaration had at least amused them, taking some more of the tension out of the air.
"Dream big, little fox!"
"Anything is possible!"
These and other jolly calls from the Ninjamon filled the air shortly afterward, with the leading Ninjamon smiling. "Well, we'll always be happy to try training a newcomer in the ninja arts. As long as you can maintain the discipline needed to learn at least." He told Kuu. With all the support, Maia was likely to have quite the headache on hand for a while.
Thankfully shortly afterward, one last Ninjamon arrived, with Alicia's newest Spirit in hand. "It's quite a shame to have to be letting go of this. But at least it will lessen the heat from the Kougamon. Perhaps we'll even be able to reconcile and unite our villages with this in the hands of a third party. So I suppose it's a blessing in disguise."
Offering the Spirit to her, the Ninjamon chuckled softly. "Make good use of it, alright? This was our treasure for some time for a reason. We all knew it had power that was just waiting to be tapped into." The Steel Spirit User nodded in response, taking the totem in one shaky hand and loading it up into her D-Scanner.
"Heh... for once I don't have to immediately use a new form just to not die... Thank you so much, Ninjamons, Gryzmon. I'm sorry our stay was so short and filled with misunderstandings." Standing up, and taking a moment to steady herself, Alicia pocketed her D-Scanner and turned, waving good bye. She started to make her way topside again, looking over her shoulder to see the assembled ninja village mons waving back.
"Come back any time! We'll make it up to you!" one of the Ninjamon called to them.
"All's well that ends well I suppose. Everything considered that could've been quite the mess to deal with normally." Sol commented, before noticing Alicia wasn't paying attention to him. "Alicia? is something wrong? Hello?" Nothing, he didn't get any kind of response out of her. It seemed like she was lost in her own thoughts right now, sighing softly.

With the response from the redhead, Maia found herself letting out an almost nervous laugh. "I have a feeling you're not going to be able to get out of bed tomorrow." Heck, after the few days that the tamer, herself, had been having, she might not get out of bed, either. It felt like every time she did, there was a lot more effort put into the day than initially anticipated. This hopefully wasn't some sort of trend. "Saved your life? You saved mine!" True. Gryzmon probably would have gotten a good swipe at Maia, if Alicia hadn't distracted him. And, the spirit user probably would have been able to avoid all of the attacks from the Ninjamon otherwise, too. So much for not slowing her down!
Kuu was thrilled at the uplifting comments from the ninja monsters. Ears twitched, looking to his tamer, "did you hear that, Maia? I could be a ninja!" There was hope yet! The little monster may never learn to fly, but this was actually a possibility!
"You'll have to learn what 'discipline' means, first," Maia added, almost too quickly.
Tilting his head, the pipefox let out a hum, "I bet it doesn't taste good." No, chances were it did not. But, his tamer decided not to answer this question. He'd surely find out on his own, despite the term not actually being edible.
Looking at the totem, Maia thought about the efforts that a spirit user had to put into these kind of things. Were they really worth it? It seemed like a lot of trouble for one person to have to go through on their own. She couldn't imagine having to ever do something like this. Especially when she heard the comment on not dying. Yeah, that was a big 'no thanks.' Cross wanting to be a spirit user entirely off the list of things the girl ever wanted to do!
Not saying much, but offering a wave to the residents of the village, Maia quickly followed Alicia to leave the well hidden place. Kuu sat on her shoulder, waving a paw rapidly at the Ninjamon and Gryzmon. "Bye! See you soon! Bye!" he repeated a few times, before turning to face the same direction as the two humans. Everything should be easy from here on! At least, for today! For some reason, the monster felt good about all of this.
Maybe Alicia didn't feel so great about it, though. Maia noticed that the young woman seemed to be rather quiet. Maybe she was just tired. Putting her hands in her pockets, she let the silence last for only a few extra moments. "Penny for your thoughts?"

Alicia blinked and looked up, glancing over to Maia. "Huh? Oh, well... I was just wondering about something concerning those of us who are Spirit Users. Since apparently the Spirits are pieces of Digimon from the past that have died, what goes on when we Spirit Evolve? Do we hijack what was once their bodies? Or does the form change to suit us...?"
It was a thought that had been bugging her for a while. Elliot and Isaac didn't seem to have any means to communicate with the Spirits that gave them power, so it wasn't a question they would be able to answer. And she wasn't really sure if she wanted to ask Sol directly, in case it was a sore subject for him.
"Kid, if you want to ask me something, the worst I can do is say 'I don't know' or 'I don't want to talk about it.'" Speak of the devil and the devil speaks back it seems. Alicia mulled the thought over before looking up.
"Well, Sol...?" She asked openly, letting Maia and Kuu know she was addressing her spirit and not them. "Which is it?" Since he was pretty much offering to answer to the best of his ability, she figured she might as well take the offer.
"It's different for Spirit User to Spirit User. For you, you're more taking aspects of my power and building a body off of them for your own use. Others may actually take the forms of their benefactors. It's a real toss up which way it goes."
"Well... that's probably a more comforting answer for me. Just using his power while the forms are unique to me." Alicia mused closing her eyes. "I suppose we should call it for the day, huh? I'm not really sure if I'm in a condition to go after the other Spirit Totem right now..."
Oh right... That was a thing... Alicia still had another spirit pinging off her D-Scanner.

Hearing the question at hand, Maia had to admit that she hadn't even considered that. After all, the way she had looked at it was just to assume that something reprogrammed people or something. In retrospect, that was kind of a silly thing to assume. The thought that Digimon had died and become an object that people would fight for in an attempt obtain their power? That felt a little morbid.
Kuu hummed, tilting his head. There wasn't even a joke he could make about this! This may also be partially from the little fox thinking about how he'd look as a ninja. Nin-Kuu? Sneakiest of the Kudamon? No. That probably wouldn't work out. Also, that title was lame. Maia would never call him that. Back to thinking!
"That makes sense," Maia nodded, hearing Alicia's answer. "Your spirit form looked pretty different than the others I've seen." Though, that had a chance of just being because she had different things unlocked than, say, Elliot or Isaac. The tamer wasn't really familiar with spirits at all, so it was always a possibility. After all, she couldn't imagine that spirit users really had forms that didn't fit them at all. There had to be a reason they were compatible, right? Or, could just anyone steal one of the totems and use it if they were a spirit user? All of these questions could wait for another day, though.
Then, there was the reminder of the other totem. "Is it safe to leave the other one?" After all, there was no way that Alicia would be able to handle anything worse than what they'd already done. It really was best to leave the totem alone. "I mean, it's definitely best for you to rest," she added, "but, I don't want you to be out your spirit, either."

Alicia sighed softly, mulling her options over. On one hand she had already been subjected to an arbitrary time limit via Ulysses wanting her Steeldramon form's spirit totem for his own greedy ends. That had been a troubling thing to have to deal with. The memories of it were still quite fresh in her mind too. Could someone be after the other totem without her knowing it? The Ninjamon here had been trying to tap into the Spirit they'd just gotten so the possibility was there.
It was something of a chilling thought. The Steel Spirit User wasn't sure if going home and resting up from today's mess was actually the best idea or not. She checked her D-Scanner again, looking at the Spirit's approximate location. It still didn't seem to have moved, which was a relief to be sure. "It looks like it's just sitting there and waiting still. So it's probably safe for the moment." Alicia answered back, looking to Maia again.
She then smiled, thinking of Isaac and Elliot. "Well, Steeldramon is somewhere between a Rookie level and a Champion level, while Isaac and Elliots forms are clearly Rookies. This one I've just gotten will probably be Champion equivalent. It's odd though, what would the next one be? Somewhere between Champion and Ultimate? That would make sense to me though."
Shrugging a bit, the young woman sighed. "I'll take my chances with where the Spirit is at a later time. I don't really have much of a choice. Anyways, thanks for coming along with me, Maia." The Steel Spirit user winced a bit, smiling as she started to make her way back to Terminus City. She could only hope that things would go her way this time and if they didn't?
She'll have to cross that bridge when she gets to it.
((This hunt is now concluded))
