It took some mental convincing to make the girl fully process that it was, in fact, ten years, and that she wasn't miscalculating anything. It really didn't feel like that! One one hand, it felt like she had only known her friend for a few years, but on the other, it felt like her entire life. But, numbers didn't lie. At some point during the year, if they hadn't already hit it, would have marked ten years, exact!
"No?" A smile spread across Maia's lips, as she leaned back in the seat a little. She supposed that 'awful influence' did seem like an odd descriptor."We were good at balancing one another, in that regard." Did that make sense? Oh well! It made sense to Maia, and that was what mattered! The girl certainly wasn't the type to just go out to random parties on her own, after all! And, someone always needed to be there to reel in people who started to get a bit out of hand. Of course, this also came with the question: Who was there to do that, now that she was gone? Huh. She'd never really thought about it too much. Well. Now that was established, the blonde was going to have to remember to text her friend tonight.
Eyes shifted to the ice cream portion of the menu. "Ice cream is good," she agreed, looking over the flavors. Some of the options were pretty unique! Squid ink? Oof, that sounded gross. Mochi? No, that stuff tasted like Play Dough. Okay, maybe it was better to stick with something a little more normal. "Maybe Cookie Dough or Neapolitan?" Maia murmured, trying to think of what could sound good. There there too many choices! "Or, uh, chocolate." Amber eyes lifted to look at Isaac, biting her lip while she debated. "What kind of ice cream do you like?"
