It would appear that Kai's mother had bought it. Kai let out a sigh of relief, as he pulled himself up. He doubted they would get too many more free passes like that. He nearly added something... But he had no idea what to say. Well, as they say... If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it. Making a random excuse would just make his mother suspicious... right?
As if she wasn't suspicious already. That obvious thud of something, or someone, hitting the floor was... Distinctive enough. But she trusted Kai enough to let him be without needing constant checkups. Besides, this was the first time he had ever brought a girl home! Perhaps she should make red beans and rice with dinner! She whistled as she went back to her work.
In the next room, Shiro took the offensive. "Hyaha!" he called, as he whirled around and pounced at the chasing Kuu! Now this was a game! Why couldn't Kuro and Kai be half the fun that Kuu was? Their loss!
