The Stonewall Attack [Closed]

It was a rare moment, this morning. It was a weekend, so no school. No crisis, no DATS emergency to call him. Takahiro was busy and Kiyoshi had still been asleep when they left. Shichiro and Gawain took advantage of the still, early hours and walked through an increasingly familiar haunt. The forest paths were isolated enough he could let Gawain walk around in his PawnChessmon form and they both appreciated the quiet retreat. Traveling the forest with your buddy the knight. Yeah, everybody could use a little fantasy now and then. Shichi had brought a fencing mask for himself and a pair of foils; Gawain was not only an able partner but the swordsman digimon was a decent teacher, too. They both learned things, though Shichiro was still sure shield bashing wasn't valid in a fencing competition.

The boy and his 'mon fenced easily together in a clearing not far from one of the main paths. A small radio was propped against a rock and tuned to a station Shichi liked. They went through motions at a steady pace, slow practice movements that were more about form than sparring. Gawain was teaching him a disarm. Shichiro was pretty sure that wouldn't be allowed in a tournament either, but he'd have to check the rule book on that one. It was a relaxing way to spend a morning and a welcome break. Shichiro resolved to bring Kiyoshi here sometime, the kid and his new partners could use a chance to get out as well. Maybe a picnic..
