1/26/2019 Patch Notes
Just a small update here, guys! After review, we have found that a few of the D-Arc cards were over-tuned, and we have either scaled back or updated their effects. The changes are noted below, but as for our thoughts in particular:
Omeka Guise
Being able to freely copy the opponent's moves, including potential ultimates and high-cooldown tools, made this pretty tough to balance. Thus, we have removed the ability to copy high-cooldown moves, and moves above the user's level.
The Swarm
This essentially made it possible to use three high-cooldown moves in one burst. This has been scaled back.
Shadowform
The previous effect this card had was simply too powerful to balance in any meaningful capacity. Thus, we have completely changed the function of this card.
Uratecmon
We have re-worded the first ability to properly show our intent for how this card works. It does not, in fact, completely reset all of your cooldowns.
Dohyo Field
As originally written, it drastically changed the flow of the fight to a largely irreparable state. The new effect no longer automatically damages non-participants.
The new text for these cards are in the spoiler below. If you have them in your collection, please edit these in your log.
Thanks!
ME-26
Card Name: Omeka Guise
Type: Modify
Rank: Silver
Duration: 3 Posts
Effect: The target Digimon is surrounded by a cardboard suit of their opponent, similar to that of Omekamon. They are able to use one of the opponent's moves as if it were their own. This is not able to copy moves that have not been seen, moves with more than a 1-post cooldown, nor moves of a higher level than the target Digimon.
JT-29
Card Name: The Swarm
Type: Modify
Rank: Gold
Duration: 3 Posts
Effect: Target Digimon creates two clones of itself, at the cost of attack power being reduced to 50% by Clones and Target Digimon. When a clone is attacked, it is destroyed instantly. When clones are killed or card duration ends, attack power is back to normal. The clones are unable to use techniques with cooldowns.
DA-24
Card Name: Shadowform
Type: Modify
Rank: Silver
Duration: 3 Posts
Effect: The target Digimon turns invisible for three posts, only casting a shadow when exposed to direct light. This effect ends when the duration expires, uses a named ability, or the target Digimon is damaged.
AP-8
Card Name: Uratecmon
Type: Digimon
Rank: Silver
Duration: 1 Post
↑↓↑↓→→←←XY: The target Digimon inputs a cheat code into the Digital World, enhancing their abilities so that they can fight at full power. During the post after the cheat is entered, all of the Digimon's stats are given a slight boost.
Miracle Combo: The target Digimon lightly jabs at an opponent, dealing just enough damage to make them flinch but not enough damage to wound them. This flurry of light jabs continues unopposed until the opponent manages to escape or block one of the punches, each jab marked by a glowing number over the opponent's head.
AP-23
Card Name: Dohyo Field
Type: Modify
Rank: Silver
Duration: 3 Posts
The target Digimon cracks its knuckles as a wire-frame matrix stretches out from its shadow. In the wireframe area, all Digimon within the field deal 50% more damage to each other, but take 50% more damage from each other. Any Digimon outside of the field are not impacted by this effect, dealing and taking damage as normal. This field impacts a range 20 meters outward from the original position of the target Digimon.
