"Ah, secret. Gotcha," Isaac said. That just made him want to know more! Unfortunately, there wasn't really much chance for that until the competition, whenever it was. "When is it? I'd love to pop in and root for you." A shame Maia didn't even intend on showing up. Wasn't life deliciously ironic in that sense? Still, whether she decided to pop up or it would just be her work standing on its own, Isaac wanted nothing more than to be able to support her. It could also be a great chance of meeting new people, although between his shyness and Maia's shyness they would likely just sit in the corner talking to each other or something. Nonetheless, it was hard to not be proud of her. Secret projects, honorary membership, commission work, competition winning. She was truly one talented girl, wasn't she?
If only Maia knew how much of a cooking kick Elliot had been on lately. It helped that Alicia was a great partner for practicing it with, but in general he just liked the feeling of creating something that made others happy. Cooking was probably the best, and safest, way of expressing that. Life-risking heroism? Not such a safe alternative. "Competitions? That's so cool! I dunno if I'd be good enough, though . . ."
Healthy self esteems clearly ran in the family.
Still, drama and cooking. It looked like the brothers' schedules were basically set in stone now. What else did they need? It would give them time to decompress in between regular death sessions and get a bit more well vested in their interests. It was nice to know that when they were taking on the school system, they wouldn't have to go at it alone. And even when things did get hard, Maia would be right here to help them.
"So, you only get one classroom, right? Does that get boring at all?"

When was that supposed to be? Maia didn't really know! Another thing that she would need to bring up with the club, it seemed. "Uh, well, we're supposed to finish it by the end of next week," she shrugged, thinking about what that would mean as far as the competition. Surely, it wasn't going to be much after that! "I would think it would be another week or two, after." That didn't sound so certain! Maybe, the blonde just didn't really care. "Art competitions are kind of boring anyway," she added, "a lot of people show up and mumble about everyone's work. Or ask for pictures of people with their art. It's all weird." That sounded like prior experience with these kind of things! Maybe there was a reason that the teen wasn't finding this thing a big ordeal. Heck, she hadn't even told her parents about it! Then again, Maia had no intent on telling her parents unless she decided to go, either.
"'Course you're good enough for comp-u-cushions!" Kuu insisted to Elliot. "I bet you make great food! I'll taste test!" Ah, so that was his angle! It all made sense now! Of course Kuu would want a bite of anything that almost anyone made! Edible or not!
With the next question, the blonde had to think again. Was it boring? She was so busy with balancing everything, including sleep, that it was hard to have time to be bored! "It's not too bad," Maia finally concluded. "It's easier to make friends when you're stuck in the same class all year with them." If not for being constantly stuck next to someone in the class, there was a chance Maia wouldn't actually have any semi-close friends that didn't have some association with Digimon! "Why? Are you worried you'll go stir-crazy?"

"Alright, how many of those did you win?" he asked, a knowing tone to his voice. There was no way Maia wasn't speaking from experience, and that left two possibilities. Either she attended something which bored her, which sounded very un-Maia, or she was in a competition and had to attend as a result. And if she was in a competition? Well, she was Maia! Maybe that was the rose-tinted girlfriend goggles speaking, but there was no way she wouldn't take home the gold with her amazing work. While his tone was a little bit teasing, the look in his eyes was that of pure pride. Maia was somebody who he wholeheartedly believed in and wanted to support to the best of his ability. Heck, with how enthusiastic he was, maybe he could attend her art shows for her and spare her the trouble.
Elliot giggled at Kuu's enthusiasm. "I'll try not to let you down!" he said, voice chipper. This was going to be a tough one for sure. He didn't know what kind of food Kuu liked! Sure, it seemed like he liked literally every kind of food, but what if Elliot messed up and picked the one thing in the universe Kuu couldn't stand? That'd be awful! "It's not the easiest though. Especially with, well, you know." The boy shot a somewhat sorrowful glance down at his leg, and at his walking stick bearing arm. Much like when fetching ingredients for Alicia, he'd only really be able to operate one-handed if he also wanted to stand properly. Would that just drag the team down?
Stir-crazy? Not the words Isaac'd pick, but that basically summed up his restlessness. "Yeah, kinda," he admitted. "Elliot's got the patience of a saint, but I think I'll definitely need time between classes to stretch my legs out. Oh! That reminds me. What's lunch like around here?"
