Am I... Am I dead? A lone female voice wondered inside Cuttah's head. It appeared consciousness was finally returning to the hylden within her.
No. I don't feel like I'm dead. It sure does smell like it though. Does that mean I am? What happened then? The last thing I remember was... A myriad of thoughts went through the hylden's head as she recalled everything that happened. The most potent one was her being attacked by her peers. Why did they attack me again though? I remember them saying something about a traitor. Where they calling me one? Or was it just them declaring themselves as traitors?
Nah... That makes no sense. Who would yell out that they are a traitor like that?
Her thoughts continued on this course for a good while. Not yet trying to enforce her own will onto the body she was currently in. In fact she didn't seem to even realize that she wasn't in her own body with how busy she currently was with her own thoughts.

^Why is it that every time I play these types of games it is against a cheater?^
Sanoske and Rippah in his Ultimate form, as a means to kill time during the noon hours, had a few games of Rock Paper Scissors. And since Sanoske was so tall Rippah figured he should take up a larger form before they would have their games.
And Sanoske had lost every time. Despite what Rippah may look like, his dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and hand reflexes were nothing to scoff at. The guy had a quickdraw few could even match.
"Look, sorry... heh heh, you play your hand too early and, well, I can react to it very quickly. Plus you favor paper. Most times after you lose when I use Rock you tend to go to paper more often than not. Also..."
^I think I am ready to do something else now.^
Rippah scratched his head nervously, returning to his Armor champ stage. But Sanoske was quick to console him. ^ Do not worry, I am not mad. Just... mildly disheartened.^
The Gabumon turned to see Cuttah walking towards the two. She had been lying back, not doing much of anything, before coming over here.
"Brother, I hear a voice."
"*Beeelllch* Oh? Well, is someone coming? Or was Sanoske making an illusion speak or..."
"... I think it's Celeste's."
"Oh... OH! She's up! Uh... if you feel your *burrrp* body move on it's own..."
"I know. Don't fight it, just let it happen. I'll go get Mel."
"Hey, before you go... I should head off right now and get to Tab. Will you be alright without me?"
There was a moment before she spoke again. "I'll be fine. No hurry."
And with that, Rippah ran off, and Cuttah, followed by Sanoske, went over to where Pure and Crystal were.

Voices? Why do I hear voices? Did one of them call my name? I think one of them mentioned Mel too. Does that mean he's here too? Wherever here is?
Celeste took the moment to think things over. She didn't think she recognized any of these voices. Maybe? Nah. None of these voices matched any of the ones she knew. Though some did sure sound similar. Interestingly one in particularly did happen to mention hearing voices too. Something about hearing...
Ohh...
Wait a second. Am I inside a digimon? I do feel kind of disembodied. How did that happen though? And why does she smell like a methane factory?
It took her another second to adjust herself enough to see what Cuttah was seeing. There she saw a Terriermon and a Lopmon sitting in a corner seeming to be conversing among themselves. She didn't pay attention to that though as she took note of the blighted scar on the Lopmon's ear.
Rookies? I'm guessing that means I'm no longer in the Hylden realm anymore. I wonder how that happened. Could that Lopmon have been involved?
"Hey Sanoske. Cuttah." Crystal said as she noticed the two approach, "So if I overheard you guys correctly, our sleeping princess is finally awake. How are you feeling Cuttah? Has she tried anything yet?"

Cuttah began to faintly feel a bit more of Celeste's presence. She ended up stopping, ensuring that, as per usual, Cuttah was some distance away from the other set of twins. Sanoske nodded in reply to Crystal's greeting before Cuttah spoke.
"It feels... a bit... Um... I'm fine. I can feel her come to and getting adjusted to the fact that she's in my body...
...although not quite the smell.
Celeste... I can hear you... speak, I guess. Or whatever it is you're doing where I can hear your voice. Your brother is around.
But I have to ask... when you take over my body, please maintain a distance of 10 feet away from everyone except Sanoske since he's tall. And try not to... mess my body up. As much as I... dislike it I don't want it getting worse."
Cuttah spoke more matter of factly by the end. Either that or be harder on herself. And she's still trying not to be so hard on herself.
However her tone warmed up a bit as she spoke to Crystal again. "I'm sorry, though... do you and Pure want a few minutes to finish up your conversation?"
Given that Cuttah knew Crystal's dislike for Mel, though, she felt a bit bad for wanting Mel to come out.

Who said anything about wanting to take over your body? I would much rather get a straight answer about what's going on first. Celeste informed her host straight up. Not quite fully understanding why she was inside this digimon outside of the Hylden realm in the first place.
The twins looked towards each other. Neither one knowing quite what to answer. Their conversation wasn't actually all that important. Just talking about this and that. Yet Crystal had a desperate look to her. She knew full well what Mel's sister waking up meant for her brother, and she didn't want him to switch places with that parasite.
Despite understanding that fact though, Pure made his decision. "Don't worry about it Cuttah. It wasn't anything important." Pure informed the pink Gabumon variant, "So I'm guessing she wants to talk to Mel then?"
What did he mean by that? Wait a second. Don't tell me that 'big bad' Mel is using that tiny Terriermon as a host. That would be hilarious. The sounds of laughter erupt from Celeste.

Cuttah shrugged. Despite Celeste currently only being able to talk to her, Cuttah spoke to her as of she was a normal digimon. Cuttah hadn't considered doing otherwise, plus everyone already knew Celeste was inside her.
"I only figured you'd like to directly speak with everyone instead of using me as a messenger. Plus I... honestly am not the best one to fully explain what's going on here. I'm just the one who volunteered to be your host for now."
Once Pure came up and spoke, Sanoske chimed in.
^ For all intents and purposes, I would believe Cuttah wants to get it over with... considering the last time Mel asked about her. Might as well get it over with, right?^
"Yeah... although I'm not one to not worry, Pure. I do want this over with..."
She seemed... unphased by Celeste's laughter. Probably would be funnier were she in the mindset to laugh. Right now she was thinking about whether or not the hylden inside her can handle taking control.

Crystal gave a small frown as Pure made his decision. She knew why he had to do it. It didn't mean she still wasn't worried what would happen to her brother and her friend for the matter. Was it really all that selfish of her to want just a few more moments with her brother?
"Same. Just promise me you won't try to kill me if Mel tries something stupid." Pure agreed.
The Terriermon then took a deep breath as he dived deep into his mind. Allowing the Hylden within him to take over the driver seat.
"Your one to talk." Pure voice said to himself, yet it wasn't Pure speaking now. Instead the Terriermon had a darker look in his eyes. A tell tale sign that it was now Mel in control. "So then. Celeste are you actually awake in there? Or are you just trying to get back at me Cuttah?"
Huh? Was that suppose to be them switching places, because I can't really tell. I mean I... I expected something... More. Celeste wondered aloud, In fact is this really suppose to be my brother? I admit the Terriermon has the whole brooding rebel look down, but I still can't see the Mel I knew willingly choosing a Terriermon of all things to use as a host.
Surprisingly (or perhaps not) Celeste still has not taken over Cuttah's body yet. Apparently choosing to remain as an observer for what ever reason.

Cuttah nodded. She will try not to harm Mel for doing something stupid. She knew well enough that if she did do something to Mel, she'd have Sanoske, Crystal, and Pure to deal with. And she didn't want to make Crystal miserable.
The hylden siblings spoke their piece, offering some disbelief of the other being active. The psychemon sighed... she was a bit disappointed that Celeste didn't take over. Now she had to continue being messenger.
With the sigh came a mildly annoyed look, which Sanoske picked up on. ^What is the matter, Cuttah?^
"The both of them don't believe the other is active. Because Mel thinks I'm the type to play a prank and because Celeste doesn't think Mel would reside in a Terriermon of his own will.
I can just leave if the two of you are going to beat around the bush. "

A deep sigh came from the Terriermon as Cuttah threatened to leave. "Fine. Don't leave just yet." Mel said as he scratched the back of his head, "Come on Celeste. Why don't we speak face to face? I rather not frustrate Cuttah anymore. Trust me. She gets pretty... shooty when she's mad."
Nuh uh. No way. No can do. I'm afraid that's quite impossible at the moment. Talking face to face would require me not to be what appears to be a disembodied voice within this... Cutey was it? Celeste commented, The second best I could probably do is possess her, but she already said she didn't want her body any worst then it apparently is. So I'm afraid that's a no can do.
Then there was a moment pause as Celeste remembered something. Oh right. Your the only one that can hear me right now Cutey. So that was a waste of thought. Celeste gave a mental shrug, Oh well... No skin off my nose. That is if I had a nose right now. Y'know what? That makes me curious about something. How can I smell whatever that smell is if I don't have a nose? Does that mean I'm able to smell whatever you smell since I'm in your body? Actually that probably is it the more I think about it. Still makes me wonder where that odor is coming from.
Crystal, meanwhile, turned towards Mel with a confused look. "So is she just shy? Or is she angry at you for stealing someone elses body?"
"Your the only one still mad about that." He stated bluntly before glancing back towards Cuttah, "Any second now Celeste. I rather not waste any more time just standing around waiting for you to figure out how to take control of that body. It was part of your whole research subject for crying out loud. You should already know how to do something so imperative as how to control another beings body."
You know what. I amend what I said earlier. That is definitely my brother. No one else could be such a... a... I can't even think of a good word to describe him.

And now, Cuttah was looking a bit miffed. She was impatient, and more and more annoyed at her continually being the messenger because Celeste still didn't feel like taking control just yet.
Mel's comment over taking Pure's body and Celeste getting Cuttah's name wrong didn't help matters.
"My name... is CUTTAH! Not CUTEY!!!"
^I call Crystal 'Cutey' at ti-^
"SHUT UP!"
Cuttah snapped her head towards Sanoske, and her tone made the large Gazimon a bit startled. He figured that it was Celeste that prompted that outburst. So much for his attempt to lighten the mood a bit.
"And what you're smelling are my NIGH UNCONTROLLABLE FARTS! So you GET UP FRONT and stop making me your mail girl and TALK TO YOUR DAMN BROTHER YOURSELF before, and I swear I'll do this, I'M GOING TO USE MY SACRED AROMA!!! So SHUT UP about the smell and..."
Cuttah stopped, and then took a deep breath as she closed her eyes and rubbed her temples.
"Please... stop testing me you two."

There was silence among the twins after Cuttah's outburst. Crystal herself had found her back pressed against the warehouse wall, her whole weight pushing against as if in an attempt to push it. Shallow breathes entered and exited through her mouth as she tried to calm her now rapidly beating heart. She had not expected Cuttah to go off like that at all.
To her left was Mel who found himself in a pretty similar situation. Back pressed against the wall. A noticeable bead of sweat sliding down his face. It appeared his sister just pulled the pin on the grenade that was Cuttah. He should have probably expected as much. She never was one to be tactful. Perhaps he should step in before his sister set Cuttah off once again.
Or maybe it was time to get a head start on clearing the blast radius?
Well that was... A reaction for sure. Just saying that that smell was you would have sufficed. Celeste's voice informed Cuttah, otherwise seeming to be unfazed by the outburst. Plus I don't remember ever calling you my mail girl, or asking you to deliver any messages for me. Nor do I recall you actually telling any of the others anything I actually said. Well okay I guess you did share that whole 'Is that Terriermon really my brother' piece, but other then that, nothing. And in my defense, would you really believe a random digimon that looks nothing like your brother when they claim to be your brother? Especially when their body looks so... Unmutated. I doubt it.
Sorry. I guess I lost track there. Actually happens a lot more then I like to admit. So where was I again? Oh yeah.
I have not asked you to tell them anything, nor have you really told them anything I told you with an exception for the Mel thing. So telling me to stop making you my mail girl is really uncalled for. The only reason I'm sharing any of my thoughts with is because you happen to be here and I would like to have some basic answers like where am I. I mean how would you feel if you were to suddenly wake up in some weird stranger's body after getting beaten up by a bunch of jealous pricks? Are you seriously going to tell me your going to be willing of taking over said body just like that? Regardless of the consequence? Because if so, then you outsiders are a lot more messed up then I thought you are.
Then this brings me to my final point. Do you honestly not understand why I haven't taken control of your body yet? I more or less told you earlier, but in case my brother over there decided not to tell you, let me spell it out for you. Us Hylden mutate the bodies we are in when we are forced to exert our will on them. Oh sure in theory one could protect oneself by not fighting back against a Hylden who's in control, but that requires quite a large amount of self constraint. Someone else is forcibly controlling your body like a puppet after all. It's only natural to try to fight back, and when you do, well... It's not pretty.
So then. You specifically asked me not to make your body any worst, and seeing how I'm alive because of you, I wish to fulfill that request to the best of my ability. That begs to question then. Do you honestly think you have the self-constraint required for me to control your body safely? Because I'm going to be honest with you. I doubt it's going to be comfortable for you. Just asked that Terriermon over there.

Lezard eventually peeked outside the warehouse, having heard Cuttah's outburst. Having known her longer than the others here, an outburst was not out of the ordinary. Cuttah stood there, doing nothing. Sanoske and Lezard wondering what's going on as she listened to the Hylden inside her. Eventually, she slumped onto the ground, sighing.
"I apologize for my actions. I am... rather messed up. I was being too presumptuous.
Celeste, a lot has happened. I'm just a volunteer host so I'm... afraid of having to supply answers to questions I can't answer fully. Anyone else here knows more about the situation than I do.
But I'm already aware of the risks of letting you take over. I'm already a digimon who had often wished I wasn't me in the past... what's a body possession, you know? Haha... ha...ha..."
The stilted laughter was short lived, looking more embarrassed than anything.

((I'm sorry for the wait. I just could not figure this post out for the life of me. Personally I blame Celeste, and the fact that I haven't fully figured out her personally just yet >.<))
At first Celeste didn't respond. Seemingly allowing what Cuttah had just said to fully sink in before responding.
If that's what you wish. She finally answered. Her voice sounding a bit more... excited then it did earlier.
Any illusion of self-control from Cuttah's guest then vanish as she immediately took control and attempted to make the Gabumon varient do a cartwheel. One that ended up with her falling flat on her back instead.
"That worked out better in my head." She said under her breath as she laid there. Her backside slightly sore from the botch attempt at acrobatics.
Crystal and Mel moved to help Cuttah after witnessing her fall on her back. The lopmon wasn't quite sure why Cuttah suddenly decided to do a cartwheel, though she did have a guess that it wasn't her doing. Mel, on the other hand, had a better understanding at what was going on. His sister was always more on the energetic type of things. So attempting to do a cartwheel like that as the first thing she did after getting a new body seemed like something she would do. At least more likely then Cuttah having the sudden urge to do something similar.

Cuttah would have never guessed how... jarring it would feel to lose control of her own body. It was actually kind of scary and more than a bit unpleasant. But that was the risk she took.
This feeling was... barely describable for her. She needed a bit of time to get used to this.
Meanwhile, Sanoske and Lezard also saw the botched acrobatic attempt. Sanoske stayed where he was (opting not to, as a creature his size, run over to Cuttah as well), whereas Lezard merely walked after Mel and Crystal. He knew full well this wasn't Cuttah in control now.
He felt a bit dissappointed, though. He knew that Cuttah was the only volunteer to be a temporary host for Celeste but seeing the shift in her demeanor just didn't set right with him knowing what happened. And to think, Crystal would be worse off.
But he had no qualms with Celeste herself. At least, as someone Lezard never met before.
"Welcome to the world of the living, Celeste. Save to say, though, that Cuttah was not one of the most agile digimon, at least not in that form."

"This body is going to need some getting use too." Celeste said to herself as she just lied. Only looking up when she noticed the three digimon approaching her.
Welcome to the world of the living? What did that guy mean by...
Her body shot up when realization dawned on her. "I died?!?" She spouted out with a mini freak out.
It did seem possible the more she thought about it. The last thing she remembered before waking up in this body was unpleasant to say the least. Still she didn't expect death to be so uneventful. Actually wouldn't she have ended up polluting some random river in the Hylden realm if she died. So how on earth was she inside a Cuttah now.
"Mel." She said suddenly pointing a finger at Crystal, causing the Lopmon to jump a little, "No wait. He's in the one with the green stripes." She then added upon noticing her mistake as her finger shifted to point at the Terriermon. "So then Mel..." She paused once more, her expression dropping slightly, "You are Mel right?"
"Of course I..."
Mel was interrupted as Celeste snapped Cuttah's fingers. A new idea had just formed in her head. "Mel what is the power required to cause a phase distortion anomaly between any two points in space?" She asked with a knowing smile on her face.
"Seriously. Your asking me this now." Mel said, taken aback by his sister's pop quiz, "It's umm... 1.21 gigawatts right."
"Ding ding ding ding ding! That is correct. Yet don't get hopes up just yet. That was the easy one. The next 99 will surely take the cake." There was an enthusiastic tone in Cuttah's voice that gave Crystal and Mel a feeling that Celeste was serious about this.
"Hey sis. Can we perhaps save the quiz show for a better time?"
