"Seriously. Won't you just lay off me already." Mel requested adamantly, "I'm a bad person. We get it. You don't need to keep rubbing it in my face."
It was becoming difficult for the Hylden to keep control over his anger. He didn't need his flaws pointed out to him over and over again. Especially not by someone who doesn't know what he's talking about. Who wouldn't want to fully envelope themselves in their work to distract themselves from the fact that the sister they were trying to save could already be dead?
"So... Moving on. Where did the Lopmon with the ear infection and the giant demon run off to?"
Hearing Sanoske admit to his earlier drinking problems was a little surprising to the Lopmon. She knew he was a drinker before they got together, but didn't knew it reached to that extent.
"Perhaps we shouldn't head to those locations then. It wouldn't do well if the new memories we create are ones where we're being chased out of town because of your prior debt." Crystal said as a lighthearted joke.
"Don't worry about it sweetheart. I trust you'll be just fine. You're not that digimon anymore. How long has it been since you last had any alcohol anyways?"

Lezard seemed unphased by the outburst. He merely crossed his arms, looking at him. Perhaps Mel did rub him the wrong way from their time together... as well as the things he had done. Not to mention that Lezard was not without loss himself... someone he lost due to his own inaction.
He would stop bothering Mel, although he wasn't sorry for what he had say.
"I'd say let them alone. If they want their private time the can have it, I say. And, for future reference, he's a sentient illusion, not a demon, despite his appearance.
Also... ear infection?"
------------ Once more, the Gazimon chuckled at Crystal's joke. It was a fair enough plan. Go around, see the sights... avoid certain bars.
^Last time I drank was... before Lily beat me up at the very least. After that I was busy or preoccupied or with you. It was a good way to kind of take my mind off the sauce, so to speak. But I'm sure there are a few bars without owners I ticked off. ^

"Don't tell me you haven't noticed. The Lopmon ear has evidence of Hylden mutation along it." Celeste pointed out as she illustrated the mutation with Cuttah's ear.
"She got it when we went to rescue you." Mel explained, "I don't know when exactly it happened, but from what I understand, she became exposed right before they left." Mel mouthed an inaudible "Serves her right too." Still having not forgiving her for telling Vetina the truth and putting his sister at risk.
"Well there you have it. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about." Crystal pointed out before lying flat down on Sanoske again. Enjoying the moment of peace she now had.
"I hope things remain this calm for just a little while longer. I rather not have to rush across the world to save someone else for a good long while."

"I know where she got that mark from. I just didn't think it would be referred to as an 'ear infection' by you, that's all. I would have expected 'scar' or 'ear mutation'.
But, hey, I'm not the the one who was trapped there so what do I know? Anyway... nearly lost one sister to get someone else's sister. An undesirable situation, even if poetic.
Anyway... an unfortunate side effect.
So, what are you going to do for the rest of the day, Celeste? I mean... I'm more than willing to let you be awake after getting out your coma... but I would like my Cuttah back later today."
-------
^Well... I have a gut feeling, and do not laugh, that there will probably be nothing going on for a little while more. The larger bulk of our incidents involve the Hylden, and with that almost done with, the rest are just random misadventures.
...hmm...^
Sanoske dissolved the dome, figuring there was no point in keeping it up anymore.
^But, I must say...I can only hope I meet those others again. Catch, Pata... I even miss House^...garrooo ^...Rolento.^

"Ear infection just rolled off the tongue better." She replied with a small shrug.
Still Lezard did bring up a good point. What exactly was she going to do for the rest of today? Her default answer would have been to work on one of her personal projects, but that's not possible now. So what should she do now.
Here's control to your body back. Wizard here wants you for something and I need to take some time to think about this. Celeste informed her host as she relinquished control.
"Celeste?"
"Yeah. It would be nice to meet up with them again. Heck with how things have been going for us, they'll probably end up joining us on our journey around the world." Crystal joked.
"Talking about that though. I have a confession to make. When you and Pure went fishing, I decided to take a walk through the woods. I was hoping it would help get my mind over this whole Pure and Mel stuck together thing. During which I actually ran across Catch again. Well I guess it would be more accurate to say that he crashed into a tree and I happened to be nearby to hear it."

Much like Mel and Pure, it would be easy to notice Cuttah regaining her body back. Her expression went to Cuttah's standard "not happy but not particularly unhappy" indifferent look. Taking a moment to reacclimate herself to her own body by moving a bit, she looked to Mel.
"Cuttah. Celeste's back inside to think about things."
"I see."
Before Lezard could continue, Cuttah quickly said, " 'My Cuttah'?"
"It's a term of affection. I didn't mean any ill by it."
"More digimon lay claim to my being than I do at the moment.
It's super weird, Lezard."
------ Sanoske began to slowly walk back towards the others, listing to Crystal recount her experience with Catch.
^I see. Well... crash aside, he seems to be doing fine for himself. Perhaps before we go we can see if we can meet with them again. At the very least... Catch has to be nearby if you saw him recently, right?^

"Really?" Mel said annoyed, "That's just like her. We haven't seen each other in months and she can't even hold a conversation with me for longer then ten minutes before running off."
Mel sighed as he stood there. Thinking about what he should do next. "Well you two could use your privacy. So I'll just leave you with the coward. Everyone prefers him anyways."
The Terriermon's expression lightens as Pure takes control again.
"I'm... Sorry about that." The true terriermon apologized. Feeling a bit responsible for Mel's attitude.
"Perhaps." Crystal agreed with a lack of excitement in her voice. Her mind wondering what Catch would think if he learned she never kept her promise to him.
A sigh escaped from her mouth. It wasn't something she could worry about at this time. If Catch is mad at her for not asking forgiveness, then so be it. If not, then she had nothing to worry about.
"How do you think House and Pata are doing anyways? I hope they are at least doing alright."

When Pure apologized, Lezard just shook his head. "Don't worry about it... or at least, I'd like to say that. But he's right... I do prefer you over him."
"Speak for yourself, I have no preference. You've both made me want to shoot you before this."
Cuttah began to walk away, and Lezard walked after her. "Hey, Cuttah... I thought we could, you know... do something..."
However, she continued walking without turning around or stopping. "As I said, it's super weird. I think I'd rather be semi-alone at the moment."
The Wizardmon stopped, slumping over a bit in disappointment. So much for that.
"I could just cry right now." ==========
^I think they are doing just fine. I am positive House had not gotten himself into any particularly bad trouble.^
However, Crystal's response had not escaped Sanoske's notice. He continued to walk a bit more before speaking again.
^Did something happen between you and Catch? You do not seem too enthused about him. I can guess it is not something particularly bad, or else you would have told me sooner, I think. But I feel like something is up.^

Pure just stood there confused as Cuttah walked off. "Did I miss something here?" The terriermon asked, "What did I ever do to make her want to shoot me?"
Crystal remained quiet for a moment as Sanoske walked. She wasn't sure if there was any benefit to telling Sanoske what happened. Though, then again, it couldn't hurt to get his advice on the matter.
"It's kind of stupid. I'll told Catch about the my involvement in Pure and Mel's fusion. He told me to ask Pure for forgiveness, and if I don't, he said he'll never give me a massage again." Crystal explain before shaking her head, "As I said, it was stupid. I don't really care about the whole massage thing. I just... I don't know. I just don't like the idea of him thinking less of me I guess."

Cuttah made no mention of her reasoning behind wanting to shoot Pure, just continuing to walk away. Lezard had no idea himself.
"I could not tell you, although it is not surprising to hear that. It's probably best not to worry about it." --------------
Once she mentioned what went on between her and Catch, Sanoske stopped again. He was a bit surprised at her words.
^While I cannot and can never personally vouch for him, he does seem to be a highly skilled masseur. So you must really not want to apologize to Pure.
Joking aside, I guess it is your choice. I can only guess why he said to apologize to Pure, but he must have really wanted you to do if Catch, of all digimon, will deny you of service if you do not apologize. I mean... you remember how we first met him.^

Pure sighed as he watched Cuttah leave. "Yeah. It's just that... I don't like the idea of being on her bad side. We both know how she feels about Mel. Knowing that I'm not much better off actually scares me." He explained.
"You... Don't think she's going to end up snapping, do you?" He then ask. The question itself being a product of fear more so then anything else.
"I guess you have a point there. Catch is kind of crazy when it comes to his hobby." Crystal agreed, "Yet the fact stands. We both know that Pure has already forgiven me. In fact, if I asked him for forgiveness for what I did to him, he would probably play it off as a joke. He would say 'What are you talking about Crys? You did nothing wrong.' or 'Is that what's been worrying you Crys? Don't worry about it' or something like that with a smile on his face." The Lopmon said, doing her best impression of her brother when she quoted what he would say.
"Yet that's the problem. I know this might sound selfish, but... I don't want his forgiveness for this. I messed up big time. I promised to free him from that megalomaniac and ended up fusing them for what could fairly well forever. Yet Pure doesn't even blame me for it. It... It makes me feel all the more guilty about the whole thing.
"Does that make any sense to you Sanoske?"

Lezard could see that Pure was getting a bit frightened with being on Cuttah's bad side. Coward or no, most would rather not get shot if they could help it.
"If it makes you feel better, I'm pretty certain she won't shoot you. Comparatively speaking, Rippah had to take away Cuttah's gun they they first had to be around Vetina whom, even if she did apologize, did try to harm one of Rippah's close friends.
You and Mel apparently have just annoyed her before. Cuttah may have issues... and she does tend to find it difficult to get used to strangers, but while she may snap at you, if she wanted to shoot you, she would have. Besides, she seems to have taken a fondness for your sister so... she probably doesn't want to hurt her by actually harming you." ---------
Sanoske thought over Crystal's words for a bit, but they were worrying. He valued the relationship between the siblings highly, and didn't want it to suffer strain.
^Yes... I believe I understand what you mean. But I do not know what to say for certain that could help.
You messed up, but had the best of intentions for your brother. Were I in your position I probably would have done the same thing.
I believe I have a grasp on how guilty you feel. But... do you want Pure to dislike you? If you do not want his forgiveness... what do you want from him?^

"Well that's a little reassuring." Pure said with a sigh of relief. A little glad to hear that he was unlikely to be shot by Cuttah. Even if it's only because of the bond Cuttah had forged with his sister.
"Heh... I guess that's another point for Crys then. Still inadvertently protecting her cowardly brother even while she's away with her boyfriend."
Crystal went silent for a moment as she sat up and thought about what Sanoske said. "To be honest Sanoske, I think a part of me does want him to hate me. I know that doesn't make much, but... Uggghhhh..." The lopmon threw her arms into the air as she fell backwards onto Sanoske's back. "I don't know. I honestly don't know Sanoske.
"I just wish things could go back to the way they were. Before all this Hylden stuff. Before I regained my memories. Before I forced Pure into a life with that parasite. Just us three having fun and travelling the world together. Like it should have been."

"Do not sell yourself short, Pure. You may be a coward, but you do not strike me as an absolute coward. Perhaps resigned to be a host, but it's obvious you have someone who'll keep your feet down when it really matters. A true coward knows no obligation outside himself.
But I am merely someone you hardly know, so take what I said with a grain of salt. At the very least, we have enough here attempting to kick themselves for something they've done.
Anyway, we're just two and a half digimon with nothing to do. We should rectify that before Rippah and Tab returns to find us dying of boredom."
Lezard clasped his hands together, contemplating what to do next with his time. Too bad there was no internet here. He would have worked on another scathing book review. --------------
^I do as well. But... perhaps it is not good to think like that... hoping Pure would hate you. Imagining you getting to the point where even looking at him causes you grief and pain... it depresses me.
Even if I questioned whether or not Pure even liked me in the past... I do highly regard your familial relationship. Crystal is Pure's sister. Pure is Crystal's brother. It is something you both have and losing that would only make things worse.
I do not want you to look at him as some old shame. I... ^
Sanoske trembled slightly, mustering up the courage to say what he wanted to say. Even if it didn't make complete sense to him, even if it more than likely was a bad idea, he felt it would be right if it came down to it.
^...I would rather not return you to the others if looking at him is going to cause you so much grief. I would rather keep you away from him than feel hurt over what you've done. I love Pure like a brother and I would rather him resent me if it means I could help you maintain that sibling bond.
I would do this, but I do not want to.^

The terriermon scratched his head slightly "I know that Cuttah had apparently done something she's regreted, but who else here would be on that list?" He wondered aloud. Trying his best to remember his interactions with the others of the group to see if they hid any clues. At least until he recognized that Lezard was still there.
"Oh... Sorry." Pure then apologized as he looked around. "Something to keep us entertained, was it? Uhh..." Inspiration then struck the terriermon as he snapped his fingers. "I know. We could always do what me and Crys do in this situation and play rock-paper-scissors."
Crystal eyes grew wide as listened to what extent Sanoske was willing to go to for her sake. Even if it would only end up making matters much worse for all involved.
"Woah! Woah! Wait a second. Don't you think that's going a bit to far?" Crystal asked as shot back up, afraid Sanoske would attempt to do so, "I only said a part wants him to hate for what I've done. Only a very small part at that."
The Lopmon then let out a sigh as she readjust herself. "Look Sanoske. Maybe the word 'hate' was a little to much. All I'm saying is that I wish Pure would at least acknowledge the fact that I did it to him. Instead he keeps acting as if nothing has happened.
"Besides you remember how I was when we lost Pure. Don't you think taking me away from him will have a similar effect." She pointed out trying her best to convince Sanoske not to go through with his hasty plan.
