Well, this was a strange turn of events. Gallatin rested his hand on his chin while resting for a moment at the entrance to a regular looking building from the outside. In his hand was clutched a letter in an envelope that read his application for DATS had surprisingly been accepted?! He had never seriously thought he'd go through when he submitted it, but here he was now he guessed.
Now came the first obstacle for gaining access to the door however, the stairs. Gallatin was at the moment situated in a wheelchair; a fancy digimon one at that, but still a wheelchair nevertheless. "Hey! Can someone let me in!" He cupped his hands around his lips while yelling at the shoddy looking building. "I'm here for the DATS thing!" For good measure, Gallatin took a rock out of his cup holder he had picked up earlier and threw it at the door to try and attract attention.

The door opened suddenly and automatically it seemed, allowing the rock entry into the building. It bounced on the carpet once or twice before coming to a rest in front of reception.
"Apologies for the wait, but there is no need for aggressive action. We were simply scanning for dangerous materials before allowing you access, please, do come in.", a somewhat mechanical voice chimed in from somewhere above him. The carpet was hard and compact, more rubbery like a doormat leading up to the counter, making it easy for him to roll right up to it.
At the counter was a woman who looked like she'd never, not even once, given a **** in her entire life. She sat back in her chair, blowing a bubble with her gum and filing her nails, one of the lines flashing with a message she seemed to be ignoring as well.
The entry room itself seemed very modern, lots of white and single colored highlights, backlit with the color changing on occasion in a wave like fashion. Two hallways stood behind the desk, one on each side with no indication of where they lead.

"Oh. Hehehe, sorry bout that." Gallatin said bashfully with a wide grin splayed across his face. He placed both hands on the side wheels of his chair before wheeling it onto the lowered carpet that allowed him easy access through the building and to the lady's desk.
"Officer Gallatin Monado reporting for duty!" He playfully raised his hand into a salute at the woman when he approached the desk, though it didn't seem like she was the friendly type. He fiddled with his wheelchair's handle while his eyes took in the sight of the modern and polished looking room. He would have never guessed its appearance from that of its shoddy and run-down exterior. "Perfect hiding place for a secret organization I guess?" Gallatin thought to himself as he waited for the lady's response.
Gallatin's hands fiddled with each other in anticipation, it felt like this place was a really important one and he didn't want to screw up his first impression. He had even bothered to change from his derelict shirtless green shirt, black leather jacket, black denim jeans, and tennis shoes for a black suit complemented by a red tie and black dress shoes.

Her eyes moved to him, blinked, and then looked back to her nails in a single powerful motion. She absolutely heard him, but she seemed to want to finish touching up her precious and overused middle finger's cuticle first.
After a few seconds, she'd move one of her fingers and hit a button on the phone line, a beep sounding off and then a voice at the other end. "Oh Britany, Is the recruit here?! Thank you for notifying me! Make sure to tell him I say hello and send him toward the quad meeting room, the one though the door on the left and then fourth on the right down the hall! I can't wait to meet him! Thanks again Britany", and then another beep ended the call.
She hadn't said a word and yet did her whole job, and then, just when he probably thought he'd never hear her speak she motioned to the door on the left with her head and said bluntly and dully. "Well… you heard him", as she continued with the next finger on her quest for the perfect nails.
What incredible dedication.
===
The hallway would be modeled much like the lobby. On the left after the first two doors there were windows into the quad, which made it interesting that the meeting room was on the left. Did it mean it was in the quad itself?

"Um... yeah sure." Gallatin responded, his voice quieting upon seeing the woman's interest clearly not focused on him in the slightest. Sigh. And people wonder why he stopped being so enthusiastic. He rolled his wheelchair backwards from the desk to make turning easier and made his way over to where two doors were on the left...
"Hey, which-" He caught himself as the lady was paying him no heed. Gallatin shrugged his shoulders before just wheeling down the left of the two doors. "Oh well, hope this one's the right place..." He muttered under his breath. "Let's see... The right room one, two, three, four down." He hoped this boss person wasn't going to be one of those mean bosses he heard about from his friends at home, because Gallatin didn't do well with positions of authority telling him what to do all the time in a bossy manner.
He straightened his tie and hesitated on what to do before deciding to just open the door, since he was told to go there anyway, besides it wasn't that rude. "Well, here goes." Gallatin muttered under his breath with a sigh before leaning forward in his chair to open the door and wheel himself inside.

He chose correct it seemed, for as he opened the door, low and behold there he stood. "Ah! There you are! I've been waiting!" His voice was cheery and even though he had his back to the new recruit, they'd be able to tell he was smiling. Was it his tone of voice? Or just the weird air of excitement he gave off.
He shifted his hands in his white gloves, arms stacked behind his back. His cape like jacket seemed to move and flow even without a strong breeze in the area as well, the natural lighting itself almost spotlighting his enormous imposing form.
"So… tell me", the strong voice spoke, he just turned his head enough for the recruit to finally see his obvious grin. He gave a dramatic pause before turning away from him again, back to the copious foliage and wonderful landscaping of the quad. "Why have you come?!"

If this had been an anime, now would be a moment that Gallatin would sweat drop. He lightly smiled before wearing a confused expression towards the man. "Why did I come?" He pulled out the envelope with his acceptance letter and the address for the dats building from the backpack that was attached to the back of his wheelchair. "You guys told me to. How else would I find this place?"
He casually had his eyes hover around the room that they were meeting in while making notice of the design choices. "So was my application actually accepted or is this a joke?" He asked what was on his mind, the whole thing sounding very fishy seeing as how a 16 year old was being accepted for a position in a top secret organization. "Because you do not want to get on the bad-side of a cripple with super powers." Gallatin jokingly commented while wheeling his chair into the room and over to the grinning person who seemed friendly enough.

Josh gave a hearty chuckle, "Rather straightforward I see, don't worry I like that kind of attitude. ", he continued to smile finally turning to approach the boy. "I was more asking why you wanted to be here, why you wanted to apply if you get me. It was supposed to be all dramatic but we can skip all that, no worries.", this time when he finished speaking his teeth seemed to gleam in the morning sunlight, he was surly a lot more built than most people his age, and exactly how old was this guy anyway. He looked young but it was hard to tell.
"Welcome to D.A.T.S, I'm the commissioner; Josh Sparks. My partner sadly isn't here today but his name is Guilix. He's a bit of a handful but he's one of the best we got too, I'm sure you'll meet him soon enough..
Today's itinerary for you is a small tour of the facility. This area we're in right now is the quad, much of the center of the building here is just this lovely grassy area. I personally prefer to have meetings outside." He added, walking around the recruit toward the door. "Also I believe you've seen the lobby and met Britany"

"Met is a little strong of a word for the amount of conversation that occurred." Gallatin said with a smile creeping along his face. He felt like he was going to like this guy, but he didn't know why. Taking care to maneuver around the area, Gallatin wheeled himself over to the commander so as to follow him on the tour. "But yeah, she seems like a handful."
"Jeez. You are bad at conversations." Gallatin heard a voice chide himself within the silent confines of his brain. It was the voice of his evil doppelganger that had taken up residence within his minds-cape. Ever since a few hours or so, he had been suddenly able to converse with the would-be body snatcher which brought some annoyance and yet also a nostalgic memory of his old conversing with his digimon spirit.
Nevertheless, Gallatin wasn't thrilled about having ShadowGallatin distract him in the middle of an interview. "Shut up, Shad. At least I'm not trying to kill him like SOME psychotic evil entity i know." Gallatin began nervously fingering his digivice within the hidden zipper-pocket on his arm-rest, trying to think of a way to not act and somehow mess up the meeting like his ridiculously bad luck dictated he'd always do.

"I like how she has her own way to always get the job done. I'd go as far as to say she's innovative", he added about the secretary as He would walk around and hold open the door back into the main hallway, letting the recruit pass before he'd let the door go and head into the hall.
"The first floor of the facility consists mostly of meeting rooms and offices for out tech team, there isn't actually much to show you here. Also I accept questions throughout the tour. I prefer to have most of my meetings out there in the quad but, often I'll have them in my office as well... which is righhhhhht, here", he stated, pointing as he walked past a room simply marked 'Commissioner' toward the end of the hall before coming to two double doors.
"As for this, in the back of our campus we have a full on training and sparing area.", he smiled, the light seeming to catch his teeth again as he'd push open the doors quickly and dramatically, outside being an obstacle course like set up with training equipment and a field for sparing and combat.

Gallatin tried his best to keep up with the commander as he was taken on the tour of the facility. It was all in all a pretty clean and professional looking area, especially with its modern-advanced decorum. He took notice of where the commander's office was, figuring he would probably going to have to report there a lot for missions and such.
He stared in wonder at the large area with the numerous amounts of training equipment and sparring area, it was certainly a fully equipped facility. In fact, it looked as if this room could take a Terra Force point blank, and still remain standing! That idea though, brought a question into Gallatin's mind that he couldn't help asking. "Wait. So I don't have to fight you or anything for me to get in right?" Being in a wheelchair, he could of course be relatively useful as a digimon; but he was still confined to it and fighting was probably the last thing he should be doing while recovering.

"Hmmm? Fight me? Haha I mean, only when you want to", he chuckled heartily and stepped forward out onto the field. "But believe me, I'm no pushover, you should know. Even without my partner."
He would walk back over to the recruit looking down to him kindly. "You're a spirit wielder right? I've fought a few of those before... such an interesting concept, turning into a digimon... I wonder what it's like", he added. Staring for a moment before standing and adjusting his belt. "So yea! Up to you whenever you'd want to, otherwise we should continue our tour!"

"LETMEFIGHTHIMLETMEFIGHTHIMLETMEFIGHTHIMLETMEFIGHTHIM" ShadowGallatin began jeering at Gallatin like a child begging for a toy. He really wanted to take a crack at this guy.
"No. No. No. No. No. No. NO!" Galaltin screamed back into his head, trying to not have an enraged expression. "What do you not get about the fact that WE ARE CRIPPLED?!" ShadowGallatin responded merely by grumbling, before just going back to whatever he does when not annoying him.
Clearing his throat and putting on an apologetic smile Gallatin addressed the awaiting commander. "No thank you. In case you haven't noticed, i'm not quite at my peak currently." He gestured to his casted legs that rested on the bottom portion of his wheelchair. "I do have another question though. When can I get one of those new digivices that my friend had? He works here too, his name's Shi." This was the part that Gallatin was looking the most forward too, a new digivice with all sorts of awesome and niche features.

He nodded, not seeming to pay the comment much mind. "Oh, your injuries persist into your spirit forms? That's kind of interesting actually", he commented, dawning a curious look with a single finger rubbing at his stubbly chin.
"I always thought the human body was independent from the spirit one, but I guess I have a lot to learn about wielders huh?", he finished with a kindly chuckle. He'd probably not looked much into them, having claimed to be a tamer and all.
"Oh and the digivice, don't worry!", he began to step back toward the door they came in, pulling it open and holding it for the new recruit, his cape like garb fluttering with each simple motion. "You'll get yours at the end of the tour, with full functionality and access to Arrow."

"Oh, well okay then." Gallatin agreed before turning his chair to follow the commander back through the doorway. "I guess that's all the questions I really have at the moment." He wheeled through, nodding to the commander with an apologetic smile before stopping to wait for him to pass.
"So far, the facilities here look really nice at least." commented Gallatin while taking in more of the interior of the building. He was wondering what else might be in store for the tour, being as they had only seen a couple of rooms. Just how big was this place anyway?
