The Melancholy of Gallatin Monado [Open]

"*Sigh* what's the point of this all." Gallatin sighed as he stared out the window of his classroom, his head resting on his chin and his voice oozing with boredom. He hated school. In fact, most if not all of his Pre-Digimon problems had all originated from social activity in school. It wasn't so much that his grades were bad, he got A's without even trying, but everyone always ended up disliking and alienating him due to either him being too talkative and annoying or him not talking to anyone and being socially inadequate.
The seat he was currently situated in was ironically what he would call in an anime, the "Protagonist Seat" or "Godly Seat". You know the one; farthest to the left and second from the back. A transfer student to a Japanese school in the protagonist seat seemed like a godsend at first, but that was before reality hit. This wasn't an anime, he wasn't going to magically form a harem or join some sort of super hero team or have an interesting high school life; and Gallatin was certainly no protagonist. Nope, everything it seemed was just as it always was for him each day since he had patched things up with his parents and they had sent him to school for his Junior year.
In homeroom he would stare out the window and think of different ways to talk to people, never actually ever enacting one of these plans because he was a social outcast. Sometimes if he was feeling especially crazy, he might even so much as make eye contact with someone. During lunch, he merely pulled out his lunch box and began eating at his desk; another isolating factor as it was painfully obvious he was foreign from everyone having "Bentos" and such or going down to eat at the cafeteria. In physical education, he would try his hardest to not get noticed by the teacher and on the slightest chance that he got noticed, Gall would simply transform and stop time before moving to another location to do stretches and such and such. Overall, his powers had done great for him, but it never helped him stop being a social outcast.
"You're pitiful." ShadowGallatin contributed. Also being Gallatin himself though, he completely understood how much school sucked and how bad he was at talking to people or not being an outcast. "If I were in control, I'd at least murder one of these people for looking at me funny." He commented as Gallatin's noticed in the corner of his eye a group of girls covering their mouths while whispering to each other and glancing at him numerous times. If he strained his ears, he could even make out what they were saying.
"Hey, isn't that the transfer nerd."
"Yeah. He barely pays attention in class and stares out the window all the time..."
"Jeez, then how does he ace all the tests? Must be cheating."
"Shh. The freak might hear you."
Letting out another depressed sigh, Gallatin laid his head down on the table sideways before staring at the clock; counting down second by second until lunch ended and classes once again commenced. He couldn't wait until it was over and he could go home.

Well this was where she was supposed to go right. A young looking teen with white hair thought about it, she was now standing in front of some large building. Was this the place Dust was supposed to meet her? "I'm sure I went the right way. Nah I totally went the right way Dust must just be late, maybe something to do with Hack." Luna shrugged it off as she leaned against a tree wondering where she was. Dust said something about a mall but this didn't look like Terminus mall at all.
As the white haired lass threw up her good she suddenly heard someone talking, a large gruff voice. "Hey. What are you doing here lunch is almost over." Luna only gave him a blank stare as he walked over to her. "Come on, with me." he said grabbing the girl by the hand and pulling her towards the strange building. She couldn't really say anything since she had no idea what was going on, was this a prank by Dust?
"What class are you in?" the man asked and Luna could only give a light shrug at this. "Are you a transfer or something?" he asked prompting Luna to nod like she didn't understand but accepted anyway. "Alright then, I think there's a free spot in one of the classes, you can stay there till we get you assigned." he said making Luna nod dumbly again before she was pulled away again.
As she was led towards another room the man opened the door leading into the classroom. He then pushed Luna inside as the white haired girl didn't even lift her feet Bering pushed into the room with a sticky note on her head that said. 'assigned here for the day.' this was highly unorthodox but that person didn't seem to care. Nor did he remember to ask for her name.
Luna kinda just stood there cat eared hood on her head still looking at the people. Where the hell was she right now.
Meanwhile.
Dust sat against the side of a building Hackmon above him yet out of sight for now. "Shouldn't she of been here by now." Hackmon stated like it was a fact she should be here. "Yeah she should of. I wonder what's taking her." Dust said crossing his arms and closing his eyes
All at once however he recalled Luna being unable to tell directions. And he just trusted her on her own. "Damn, come on lets go find her." Dust said quickly. Hackmon nodded before they started off Hackmon with his goggles on rushing overhead as Dust took the main path

A white petite girl with semi long white hair stood at the front of the classroom. "Oh hey look, another transfer. Maybe this one will hate you less than the others!" ShadowGallatin sorely teased, trying to poke some sort of response from the horridly depressed Gallatin. He had seen the guy in a rough patch before, but this was ridiculous. It was as if he had simply lost the will to live after a minute of sitting within the confines of the classroom.
"Hmm." sounded Gallatin nearly inaudibly, barely putting forth the effort to even speak inside of his own mind. His eyes briefly skimmed the girl that had walked in before going back to staring at the clock.
"Well your no fun." His Shadowy self concluded before his voice faded away. "I'm gonna go haunt some freshmen or something. Enjoy brooding..." and Gallatin did just that as his head was silent once more.
At the head of the class, the teacher briefly paused from his lesson before swiping the sticky note from the girl's head and reading it. "School board always giving me shit." He murmured, quite audible to everyone yet either not knowing or not caring. He pointed his pointer at the seat right behind Gallatin briefly before turning back to the board. "You sit over there behind Gallatin."
The boys all stared at the girl, their eyes basically bulging out of their heads as if she was the most beautiful and exotic thing on earth. Upon this, the girls all stared at her with contempt at drawing the boy's attention away.

Luna still had no idea what was going on but at least that man took the weird thing that was stuck to her head, that was bugging her a little but she figured she shouldn't take it off. She also wondered why he said that right after, oh crap this was that school thing Dust talked about, she wasn't in the right place at all.
Luna gave a small nod deciding it would be better to go with this rather then say hey I'm a digimon and jump out a window. Why a window? No questions. She made her way over to the desk while noticing some humans staring at her. She pulled her hood down slowly not used to people staring at her, at least not like this
Luna sat down looking around. She heard the name Gallatin though. Where has she heared that name before? Felt familiar and slightly annoyed her. Eh she didn't pay it much attention before she instantly looked back ahead wondering what this school thing was going to be, she hoped not boring that would be bad.
Meanwhile.
Dust was now at the park looking for a white haired girl, he wasnt that sure where she would go, knowing her when she got lost she could be anywhere but he was sure she was in the human not the digital world. She wasn't that bad at directions. He hoped.

Gallatin looked in the reflection of the window as the girl sat down. Great, now she was looking at him funny... though now that he took a chance to actually get a good look at her, he could see that she was fairly good looking; he might go so far as to even call her cute.
"Nope nope. Stop now." He mentally chided himself before laying his head back onto the desk as the time passed. He would never have a chance with her. "Protag" seat or not, he was the same social outcast as before. It wouldn't take long until she became acquainted with the other people in the class, and they would explain to her about "the weirdo that sits in front of her" and how he should be ignored and alienated at all times.
"Why did I ever come back." Gallatin mumbled before staring once again at the clock on the wall that ticked by slowly. When was this day going to end already so that he could go home, play some video-games, maybe role play on the internet, tune up his laptop, read some manga, and explore the digital world some more if he was feeling especially in a self-harming mood.

Luna kinda had no idea what was going on, she did notice the person sitting in front of her wasn't one who had stared at her, and the person who was next to her didn't seem like they would be good for conversation. And being the sociable digimon she always was she quietly, almost stealthily leaned over towards Gallatin. "Hi." she said in her usual cheerful tone.
Luna had no idea how to continue the conversation. She figured that humans would not talk about digimon events, not that she figured they would know anything about said events so she might as well get to know other people. Who knows maybe she would find someone who was a pirate and she could take Dust and go find some treasure. Wow that thought process went way off the initial hi it had before. Luna focused back on the guy in front of him waiting for a response.
Meanwhile yet again.
Dust and Hackmon were now surrounded by a crowd of people in the crossing. Dust had half expected Luna to of climbed on top of one of the many moniters that were around but no such luck. They had to find her eventually. Right?

Gallatin's shoulders stiffened at the girls words, trying to think if he was going crazy. Glancing into the window, he could clearly make out the reflection of the new girl staring expectantly at his back, as if waiting for a response. However, he got angry with himself before shaking himself back to reality. There was no way she was speaking to him, it was probably the guy sitting next to her that she was saying hi too; not the freak of Shibuya High School. Social Outcasts are called that for a reason after all.
Tearing his eyes from the window, Gallatin tried his best to distract himself while waiting for the class to end. He accomplished this by playing one of his "favorite" games called the "How many people think i'm a freak game". You play by going around the classroom and counting all of the people whose names started with the letter A that hated your guts. Afterwards, move on to the letter B and repeat and so on until you get to the letter Z. There was no point to the game, and there were no winners; this was a game solely for losers, further cementing the nature of self-pitying that the pass-time embodied.
It worked well enough, as the bell finally rung by the time he had gotten to letter X. It rang loudly throughout the air, signaling the end of the class period. Gallatin tossed his various notebooks and supplies into his bag before shouldering it and making his way out of the room. Several times people shoved him in the shoulder or to the side as all the boys immediately went to crowd around the new girl to talk to her. Gallatin on the other hand was too busy brooding to bother caring about being roughed anyway. Best not to attract attention.
His attention was focused instead on the fact of the next period. Feelings of melancholy and anxiety overtook him as he made his way down the hallway; after all, next class period was his least favorite. Physical Education, the time of the day where it was hardest to avoid being ridiculed openly by people by his awkwardness and being a freak. High school sucked.

Luna was shocked that she was ignored, but sadly the guy next to her started talking to her and while she ignored him for the most part she didn't feel like going for two conversations. Even if one of them was one sided. Instead she just fiddled with something she found in the desk. Paper? She made it into a crumpled up nothing, she tried to make it into a shape then got fustrated and punched it. Yeah that was all she did this class period.
When some loud thing rang and everyone got up she assumed she was supposed to also. But then a lot of people came around her. They started asking her really weird questions about her appearance and relationship status. But she didn't really hear anything since they all asked at once. "I'm sorry but I have to get to Uhh class?" she said using her small size to her advantage squirming through the bulk of students.
Luna kinda rushed in one random direction and managed to find that guy again. She quickly rushed up before tapping him on the shoulder. "Hi." she said again wonder what was up with last time. This was the only person who didnt ask her weird questions so she decided her time was best spent bugging him for now.

Gallatin felt a tap on his shoulder, but it was most likely just a person bumping into him in the hallway so he chose to ignore it. It wasn't until he heard that familiar voice in his ear from earlier saying hi to him that he froze completely. Slowly shifting his bag to his right shoulder, Gallatin turned around to see the same white haired girl from earlier looking directly at him and saying hi.
"Tch. High school girls are the worst." He distastefully thought while bringing up horrible memories of the cruelness that the opposite sex frequently displayed. Always being manipulatory of people's feelings and getting satisfaction with crushing them in seconds. One of the popular stunts the girls had pulled during his first few days had been to talk to him and pretend to actually like him, only to lead him into a scenario where he would get covered in paint or oil while they laughed with their friends. One time, a girl had only gone so far as to "confess" to him under a cherry blossom tree and just as Gallatin had been about to respond she doubled over laughed before stepping back for her boyfriend and some others to pelt him with balloons filled with toilet water.
Gallatin was familiar with all of these tricks, so he had learned how to react. The pranks had become less elaborate over the weeks, peaking at the confession trick, and usually what would happen is the girl would say hi to him and when he turned around she would wave at a conveniently placed friend before moving past him and snickering. This time however, Gallatin was ahead of the game. Upon seeing the white haired girl looking at him, he promptly turned around before quickly walking away. They wouldn't get him with this old trick any more.
He made sure to walk into the boy's restroom that was closest. It had been weeks since Gallatin had last used the locker room to change as that was where the bullies thrived right before gym class with their towel whips, snide comments, and "swirlies". Of course, recently the boys had found out he had been changing in the restroom as of late and yesterday dumped cold water into his stall. He brought an umbrella just in case in his bag; tomorrow he would try to look for another spot.

Luna was once again shocked that he would ignore her so rudly. She was just trying to make friends so why did he ignore her? Did she remind him of someone else? Not likely humans don't naturally have white hair with a pink strand. Luna almost stomped her foot in frustration but decided her time would be better spent following him, silently like a ninja or something similar.
And unfortionantly for Gallatin Luna had also never learned what the different signs meant and followed him into the bathroom. Having no idea what the stalls were for she instead just waited outside leaning against the door. She had to exit since she for some reason got a strange feeling she wasn't supposed to be there at all.
Luna crossed her arms waiting for him without knowing exactly why she was so determined to talk to him. Oh yeah he ignored her twice that bugged her. Were Dust here someone could of stopped Luna. Now she is free to do whatever decision comes to mind.

After Gallatin had stepped into the stall, he heard right on time the bullies from yesterday come up to the stalls. They searched the bottoms until they found his feet along with his discarded clothes and lugged their tub of ice water into the top of his stall. Thankfully he had come prepared this time, making sure to keep up his umbrella and hold his things closely, Gallatin remained for the most part dry save for the water draining past his bare feet and giving him quite the chill.
Making sure that the bullies had gone, Gallatin put his soaking wet umbrella into the plastic bag that had held his Gym clothes and shouldered it before checking his watch. Damn, he was going to be late for Physical Education and that would result in more teasing than necessary for the class. He dashed out of the bathroom and into the nearly empty hallway, barely registering the girl waiting outside.
Barely making it on time, Gallatin hung behind the group of students on the track field as the bell sounded in the building signalling the start of class. He caught his breath while trying to avoid people's looks as the instructor began taking attendance while everyone commenced stretches. Gallatin of course had no partner, and simply did a few single stretches without trying too hard. Now it was time to commence the daily ritual of making a fool of himself in outdoor activities and such while the girls snickered and the guys threw water balloons at him when the teacher wasn't looking.

Luna had no clue what the people carrying that thing were doing, why did they go into this room? What was in this room? Why did they follow after the guy? Her mind consumed by questions she wasn't able to see the guy run out of the place and she wasn't able to grab him, darn Luna what was that saying? Oh yeah don't think feel. Right well now she felt she should run after.
Luna dashed after Gallatin throwing caution to the wind. She uhh actually could run for a while and quite fast even in her Holo suit. Thank goodness changing into it didn't take away from her natural stamina. She managed to reach the room he went into and opened the door heading inside. She then stood there looking at all the people with no idea what she should be doing.
Meanwhile.
"Ok how did this happen?" Dust asked his companion that somehow got his scarf stuck and tied around a tree in the forest. "I fell. Now shut up and get me down." he complained as Dust climbed the tree slowly untieing it. "Guess your sister way right." Dust said with a chuckle. "At least I didn't lose my girlfriend."he shot back. "At least I have a girlfriend." which ended the conversation.

As Gallatin finished doing his stretches and was currently jogging around the track with the rest of the boys, the girls were as usual snickering to each other while gossiping and describing new ways they could torture the "freak of the school. One of them, a girl by which Gallatin had neither bothered to learn her name, nor cared to ever learn, noticed the white haired girl enter the room and hurried over to grab her; recognizing that she was the white haired transfer student from earlier.
Grabbing the girl by the wist, she dragged her into the gossip circle as the conversation turned from hottest guys, to ugliest guys, to Gallatin. "Hey everyone, I have an idea. We should try confessing to him, then pelt him with paint balloons."
"Aomi! We already did that one."
"Yeah we need to think of a new one to do."
"Any ideas? Nobody really?!"
"Come on, we need to think of a good one before the boys do."
"Oh! How about one of us gradually become his friend over the next few weeks, get him to trust us and actually think of us as a friend, then tell him it was all a joke and then hit him with paint balloons."
"Yatusu-chan that's a great idea! We can even post a picture of it on the website and in the school newspaper!"
"Yeah, but it'd be hard to do. You can't do it because you already got him with the confession gig."
"Oh! I know, let the new girl do it!" The conversation now turned over to the white haired, transfer student who had been dragged into the scheming discussion. "Hey what's your name again? Wanna help us play a prank?"

Luna has found her target. Time to hone in and why is everyone grabbing Luna by the wrist today. With little stuggling since she wasnt so such how much power she could use without giving away the fact she was a digimon she was rugged over to a group of people she has never seen. Met, Heard of, or cared to learn about.
Luna has just stared them before they asked her to do something. "Uhh what?" Luna asked before shaking her head. "No way, what's wrong with you that's no way to treat someone!" Luna exclaimed before stomping her foot. "You should all be ashamed you can't just pretend to be someone's friend." Luna added before turning around and walking away. If she knew what the gesture meant she might of flipped them the bird.
Funny thing was Luna had no idea who they were talking about. They just played the pronoun game so she didn't ask who the he was. She felt bad for whoever it was and wondered if all humans were like this? Nah most were most likely like Maia and that one guy who have Dust clothes yesterday. He was? Ahh doesn't matter.
Luna then apsentmindedly walked over to Gallatin again, this time totally not meaning to.

Geez, this girl would not leave him alone would she? Gallatin had saw her talking to the group of his regular antagonists of the opposite sex, so this was probably her first mission of properly bullying him huh. Well, might as well take the emotional abuse like a man and get her to leave him alone.
He stood in front of her, facing her directly as the throng of girls looked at the girl weird from behind. Monitoring her progress maybe? Gallatin didn't care, he just wanted to get his over so he could go back to being bullied by the boys. Physical abuse was way more attractive and innocent than Emotional, mostly because all it mainly amounted to was usually being covered in water or pushed into the mud; nothing ever too serious while the girls never were satisfied until they had seen him broken from the inside.
With his arms slightly parted as if in mock invitation, Gallatin waited with bated breath for whatever plan his antagonists had planned for him today.
