It's no secret that, with how high some of our prices are, our economy runs on mission and MPC rewards to get thing like alternate Digivolution levels and new move slots. It's also no secret that, judging by our grand total of 1 active and 1 half-active mission and maybe 1 MPC done per month, the systems in their current state just aren't working. There's little supply, even less demand, and by the time things finally get set up nobody's there on the follow through.
I figure, with the systems so stalled, I should turn to you guys and ask what's up. What kinds of things grab you about MPCs, and what kinds of things turn you off? Is there a better format for posting them up I can use? Do you feel they work at all in their current state? How integral should they be to purchasing power?
Similarly, missions. What can be done to make joining them more appealing? How can we make running them more appealing? Is there any way we can better encourage follow-through?
Your input here is invaluable. I really want to help make this site the best place possible for you guys, and if a part of it is out of order I'll do anything possible to fix it.

I have been in recovery, so not much to say, my activity has not gotten up yet, otherwise I would be considering missions and MPC's. That being said, I can think of a few things over the course of time, just not this second.

Here's my overall opinion on all things DFRP
When I started posting last December, I didn't know what to expect. There seemed to be plenty of active users. Just before I joined, and after, there was an influx of new members joining. This made it easy to break into rping again, considering there was always new open threads popping up. This momentum carried for a couple months, leading up to Cyber Sleuth's American release. Around this time, a lot of people who has recently joined seemed to lose interest, as what often happens with most games or what have you. I can't speak for what the site was like before I joined, but this low level of activity upsets me for obvious reasons.
However, none of this is inherently anyone's fault. There have been many updates and changes for the better to restore the site to where it should be, and I'm happy the mods are taking the initiative. People come and go. I've even seen more experienced posters fade off into the shadows. Moving on to specifics, MPCs also received a boost in popularity for about a month or two. My problem with some of the MPCs is that they are too open to interpretation, and even with the payoff, it's easier to just pass off doing the MPCs, and hope something catches my interest next month. That isn't to say I don't like the MPCs available. I had just started a thread similar to the back to school MPC, and it would have made a perfect fit for the thread. As far as generating interest in MPCs goes, I don't know what it would take to turn things around.
Missions are probably the most broken thing right now, generally due to inactivity. I'm just repeating myself. It all comes down to a lack of serious posters. We all get busy. But if you are going to join a mission, that's making a commitment, and failing to hold yourself to a higher standard just hinders posters that actually want to complete the mission. This isn't a witch hunt of course. I'm not going to name names because we are all guilty to some degree. I am still looking forward to many more missions, and finishing them.
I don't even think the answer is a larger payoff. That pot of gold can be as big as a mountain, and it doesn't matter if you can't cross the rainbow. It all comes back to a lack of interest. We can't just whip up posters out of thin air. So really, what actions can we take to make this site the best we can? The posters that really care are going to have to pick up the slack. Not for bits, not for posts. But just to keep the wheels spinning. I hope I have played my part well. Going in, I knew I was making a long term decision, and wouldn't start seeing the real payoff for a few months. I can honestly say my writing has improved significantly since I started posting, and I have had the time of my life creating wacky characters and toying around with their interactions, even if nobody's really following my overwhelming plots. So at this point, I'm all in. I want this site to succeed. In an ideal world, the boards would be overflowing with new threads.
That's pretty much my stance on things. Gritting it out when times are tough and hoping for a better future. If there is anything I can do differently to help the site, please let me know. And if we haven't posted together, please, let's set something up and see what we can come up with.
Right now I'm working on creating an invasion of Terminus City. Might make it into a mission. In my opinion, we need epic events that change both worlds. Choices that have consequences. If that sounds like something you can sink your teeth into, let's brainstorm ideas. Big events taking place in different areas over a period of time would be entertaining. But the biggest obstacle is: We need people, active people, more posts, more often, and more interaction. Let's hope down the line things get better. I'm in this for the long haul. Best wishes to the Digimon faithful.

Just a quick tag from my phone here, echoing that we kind of need SOMETHING here. Is there a plot in the works? I'm willing to take up drafting one if staff's kinda tapped on it.
