Ah, the life of a Digimon Tamer. Battles, training, or just regular every day life with funny looking monsters by your side. Today, Dante and Timothy are taking their Digimon out in the forest for some fun, and maybe even a little training. They reach a secluded part of the forest, a large open space surrounded by trees. Wormmon is playing games on Dante's phone. "WIll you give me back my phone? You've been playing that stupid game all morning." "Oh, look who's talking! Mr. "I'm going to stay inside and play my Basketball video game all day"." Wormmon had a point. Dante had been no-lifing that game pretty hard lately. But that is why they decided to go outside and get some fresh air.
Wormmon crawls up a large tree, then shoots out a silk thread to another tree. He hangs onto the thread and swings through the air, ala Tarzan. "WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" Dante is glad Wormmon is having fun. It was good for the Worm King to socialize with other Digimon. Maybe it would improve his personality. Dante finds a large moss covered rock and takes a seat. He reaches into his pocket and lights up a cigarette. "Ahh, fresh air." Yep, today looks like a nice, relaxing day. However, danger lurked around the corner.
Suddenly, loud stomping can be heard coming through the forest. Dante's peaceful moment of serenity is quickly derailed. "Ohh, what now?!" Much to his chagrin, several bunny bots emerge from the forest. They are even equipped with green armor modifications to increase defense. Following up behind them is Terriermon, piloting an even larger robot, protected by a glass dome on top. Terriermon pushes two levers back and forth, making the contraption walk forward. "Muhu haha ha haaaa!!! Surprised to see me again, fools?!" Wormmon looks down from the tree. "Gasp! Not this rodent again! How many times do we gotta kick your fluffy little butt?!" "Not this time, stupid little bug! I have tracked you here to finally get you out of my way once and for all! Bunny bots, engage!" Terriermon's squad of bunny bots raise their machine gun equipped arms. Dante quickly grabs his digivice, and Wormmon digivolves to Stingmon. "I'm getting real tired of taking out the recyclables."

Timothy had decided to go with Dante, seeing as he was a more experienced tamer and he was still figuring out the Digital World, though he had kinda started figuring it out. If you go anywhere, expect danger. He laughed as Dante argued with Wormmon about the game, "You should see us with my laptop. We're really lazy with it as well." Yokomon hopped up and down a couple times, "I got to mug someone!"
Tokomon sighed, "And you seem to get so much enjoyment out of it."
Yokomon laughed, "At least I don't get enjoyment out of blowing up a building."
"It was important!"
Timothy laughed, "It's a game, it was fun. Now, go goof off or something."
The two in-training digimon raced off after Wormmon somewhat goofily. Timothy laughed at the two as they ran off, only to hear the footsteps of the bunnybots shortly afterwards, "Oh no... Not those two again..."
He looked towards the Bunnybots and Terriermon, pulling out his digivice in the process. He then shouted, "Yokomon, Tokomon, come on! The two in trainings run in front of Timothy, ready to do battle with more bunny bots. Yokomon says, "Can I jump into this one's head?" Tokomon gives a little shrug, "Sure, so long as you can get up there."

Eva had a lot on her mind from the conversation with this "Dust" fellow earlier, to say the least. Taaking a stroll in the woods seemed like the perfect way to think it over, free from danger, humans, and other digimon. The cyborg sat down on a stump by a small stream and reached into her pocket to pull out her packet of cigarettes, taking in the peaceful surroundings, the light flicking through the canopy overhead, the sounds of nature all around her. This was certainly relaxing, a break from the craziness of the last few days.
Good, there were still some cigs left in there. She fumbled through her pockets again to try and find her lighter. Ah, there it was, a cheap disposable that barely worked. She gave the flint a good flick, however, it simply made a crunching noise.
"Son of a..."
Another flick, not even a spark. This was getting infuriating. Attempt number three also yielded nothing, as did four and five, until on the sixth, the flint just flew off with the subtle sound of snapping plastic and the hiss of butane. Eva just dropped the thing and glared at it.
"Really?"
The digimon just let out a long sigh, waiting on the butane to all fizzle out. No way in hell did she want to put a broken lighter that was spewing flammable gas into her pocket, but, neither did she want to leave the plastic here to litter the environment. Luckily, those little lighters don't exactly hold much, so, a good ten seconds later and she pockets the thing, her mind turning to ways of lighting this damn thing without a lighter.
Her very important train of thought was interrupted however, by the relatively close by heavy footfalls of some sort of walking armoured vehicle. Multiple, in fact. She activated her cloak, a subtle orange glow rippling over her before turning virtually invisible and followed the sound.
It wasn't long until she encountered the source, multiple armoured vehicles directly ahead, seemingly aiming their weapons at a group of civilians. This was going to be a tough one. She moved in behind them, quietly as possible, and began locking onto the machines. Most, if not all of her offensive weaponry was offline, however, these machines may still have vulnerabilities that can be exploited, weaponry that can be turned against their allies and the like.
She waited patiently in the shadows, optics scanning and searching for such a prime target, figuring out a battle plan. Perhaps the large one in the middle? That seemed like a command and control unit, however, it seemed bulkier, likely with heavier firepower. Still, a priority target if there ever was one.

Before the rodent and his rabbots crashed their little forest adventure, Dante's smokey senses started tingling. (Thinking) "Somebody needs a light." Back in the present, Dante's attention was focused on dealing with the bunny bots, yet again. What, did Terriermon have a factory cranking these tin cans out? Before, the mob boss Digimon had stuck to using hired goons to do his dirty work. Shirou's virtual online game must be making a ton of money, if they can afford to mass produce these troublesome tinker toys.
Stingmon flies into the air and circles around, letting loose a barrage of energy blasts from his cannon down on the bots. Stingmon swoops down towards the side of one of them and hits them with a high kick. The kick makes a loud *thud* sound, as Stingmon's foot bashes against the metal plating. The bunny bot doesn't seem phased. "Ow! These ones are a lot tougher than the previous model." "That's not a good sign." If Terriermon had in fact improved significantly on their design, the twins would have more difficulty standing toe to toe with the malicious metal hares. Dante quickly takes cover behind his smoking rock, as the bunny bots unload machine gun fire from their arms, spraying and praying that they hit their targets.
"Seriously?! Live ammunition? How's a meatbag like me suppose to avoid turning into swish cheese?" Terriermon cackles like a maniac. "Yes, yes my bunny bots! Don't stop firing until their blood floods the forest!" "Well that's a little harsh. Time for a change in tactics." Stingmon flies back up in the air. He keeps flying higher and higher, then leans backwards and falls, building up to max speed. Living up to his reputation of executing maneuvers no manmade aircraft could perform, at the last moment Stingmon arcs up before hitting the ground, flying straight towards one of the bots and piercing it with his Spiking Strike right through the torso. Stingmon's momentum sends them both flying across the grass, crashing into a large stump.
Stingmon stands up, his spike still lodged in the bunny bot. The bots eyes slowly shut off, and it shuts down. With both of his feet standing on the bot, Stingmon struggles trying to pull his spike out. "3...2..." *KABOOM!* The bot self destructs, dealing heavy damage to Stingmon. "Ooooohhhhh, that hurt..." Stingmon stumbles around, shaken up by the explosion. The rest of the bots focus their attention on the twins. Terriermon is pleased with his ambush. "Another bot bites the dust. Good thing there's a lot more where that came from. And every time you destroy another model, I'll just build them up bigger and badder than before!"

Timothy ra behind cover as the bullets start flying by and was shaken the the nearby explosion on Stingmon. He looked to the twins to see them surrounded and started looking for an obvious weak-point.
Yokomon and tokomon were back to back and both looked to each other, then to Timothy, shouting, "DNA! We need something stronger!" Timothy snapped to, "Oh right..." He held out his Digivice towards the twins, before diving back behind the rock. Yokomon and Tokomon fused together to form Ninja Biyomon and jumped into the air unleashing a firey stars at one of the bots, not doing much due to the extra armor. After it does nothing and receiving a small amount of firepower in return, they land on one of the bots and start taunting the other bots around them.
"Come on you big bunnies, I bet you couldn't hit a Flymon standing still!"
-In their head-
Tokomon shouted, "What was that! That was the worst taunt ever!"
"At least I did taunt! You sat their thinking!"
"Trying to figure out what makes them tick!"
"And the only way to figure that out is to just go for it!"
"True... But still, you could've come up with something meaner, you're always mean to me!"
"Am not!"
"Am to!"
"Am not!"
"A-"
-We're cutting away from that before the readers heads' explode-

Time to put this plan into motion. Eva watches as the shells are ejected from one of the intact mechs closest to her. Still concealed right behind it, she sprints up, jamming a large stick into its shell ejection port, before climbing on the thing's back!
There was a high pitched electrical whine, and a click as several parts of her left arm unfolded revealing some sort of high tech machinery. Suddenly, there's a bright flash right and the stormshield EM barrier deploys right in front of the hostile robot's optics in an attempt to blind it.
Naturally, the cloak fizzles out at this point as the barrier sucks up all the power needed to run it, fully revealing the hoodie wearing cyborg renamon latched onto this hostile mech. She quickly tries to deploy the next part of the plan, snapping the bot's head to the side in the hope that where the head goes, the rest of it would go with, sending its spraying machinegun fire into that "command and control" looking mech.

One of the bunny bots tries to grab Ninja Biyomon off his back, but due to the nature of his forearms being large machine guns, they are unable to reach the little bugger. Another bot tries shooting him off, but misses, and only shoots the other one, causing light damage. Out of nowhere, another strange mechanical monster appears, viciously attacking another bunny bot. It appears to actually be a Digimon turned into a cyborg. They position the head to rotate the bot around, firing at the mobile suit Terriermon is controlling. Fortunately for that wascally wabbit, Terriermon has equipped his suit to withstand the caliber of rounds utilized by his grunt troops.
"Foolish fool! Do you pests really think you can stop me?! Wait, hold on a minute... what the fur is that thing?!" Terriermon is caught off guard by this new challenger. "No matter. I'll squash you just like all the rest!" Terriermon presses a button inside his little dome. The right arm of his mobile suit raises up, pointing at the cyborg. A burst of flames comes roaring out, attempting to roast them alive. "That evil creep! He doesn't care if he destroys his own men... er, bots." The combination of Eva's attacks, and Terriermon's flamethrower terminates the bunny bot. However, due to the internal damage, the self detonation program fails to trigger, and the bot simply falls over.
"Blast! There goes another one." Three more bunny bots remain. But the real challenge would be Terriermon's mobile suit. It was clearly better equipped in both offense and defense than the Bunny Bot 2.0s. Stingmon focuses his attention on Terriermon. "Hey ugly! Take this!" Stingmon dashes forward, hitting the dome with his spike. While it was more than enough to pierce the torso of the lesser bot, his energy spike simply flicks off, without so much as leaving a scratch. "My turn." Terriermon activates another feature. The mobile suit launches a large device from its chest. The device wraps around Stingmon, binding his arms to his side like handcuffs made out of pure energy. "Argh! You jerk!" Stingmon runs over and starts kicking the suit, dealing little to no damage.

Ninja Biyomon continued their relentless assault of kicking the head of the bunnybot. In their head, they continued arguing, "We should try a different approach!"
"No, bashing it's head in is the only approach!"
"No it isn't!"
"It is now!"
"It still isn't!"
Their arguing went on and on, on so many different topics within the head of Ninja Biyomon to the point it popped and with a puff of smoke, Yokomon and Tokomon were there on the head of the bunny bot.
"What happened?"
"We happened, now we keep attacking!"
"No... We're not together anymore..."
"Wait, what?"
"This is bad..."
"This is exciting more like it!"
Timothy looks at the two and sighed, "Guys! You're much weaker now! Get out of there, or into the bunnybot's head!"
Yokomon nodded, "Into the head we go!" She then started tackling the bunnybot's head, in hopes of opening it."
Tokomon also nodded, "Away we go!" He then jumped off of the bunny bot and into cover while shouting, "Yokomon, come on!"
Yokomon wasn't having any of it and kept bashing at the bot's head, using her bubbles against it, to little success of course.
Timothy let out another sigh.

Incoming fire! The brunt of the flamethrower attack was taken by the enemy vehicle, but, it still caught Eva's sleeve! She jumps off the falling machine, rolling on the ground to put herself out, minimal damage to her cyber arm sustained. The digimon remains in cover behind the heavy armour of the destroyed mech, spotting that seemingly still functional gun arm, and due to its heavy damage, a potentially loosened joint.
She begins working on freeing that gun arm, eventually getting it free and seeing an opportunity to short the firing mechanism! This thing was -heavy- though, not exactly practical to lug around, but, resting it on the cover provided by the now disarmed mech hulk it could work as an impromptu MG emplacement.
She looked over to the main mech, which that taunting little bastard still inside. The thing had one of her new allies ensnared! But with this inaccurate weapon, she couldn't risk taking the shot, not that these rounds would penetrate that heavier machine. She instead turns her fire onto one of the other bunnybots not currently being engaged in close combat to avoid the risk of friendly fire, loosing off short well controlled and aimed bursts, going for headshots, armour weakspots, anything that seemed like it would cause some heavy damage.

With only a few bots remaining, it appears this ragtag group had the upper hand against Terriermon and his squad. Eva now possessed a severed robotic arm, and is using it as a machine gun. Unfortunately, the twins had exhausted their energy in the battle, and reverted back to their In-Training forms. While Tokomon went for cover, Yokomon continued attacking one of the bots on the head. Terriermon raises his mobile suit's left arm, launching a net attached to a grappling hook at Yokomon. The net ensnares Yokomon, and Terriermon retracts the hook, storing the Digimon inside a small storage compartment located in the left arm.
"Muhuhaha! If you want to see this little brat again, you'll stay out of my fur for now! I've got some big plans in the works, and I don't need you dorks getting in the way any more!" Terriermon drops down a few smoke bombs, and him and the remaining bunny bots make their clunky getaway. Stingmon coughs from the smoke. Dante just stands there, not coughing. His lungs have gotten use to inhaling toxic smoke. When the smoke fades, there's no sign of Yokomon, or the bunny bots.
Dante is livid Terriermon got away with Yokomon taken captive. Stingmon struggles to free himself from the energy cuffs. "This is terrible! What kind of sick loser goes around catching monsters?!" "Only depraved, uncaring psychopaths!" Dante takes out his digivice. "I'm getting a lock on two energy signals. They couldn't have gone far." Dante looks over at the unknown cyborg. "Thank you for coming to help. We've dealt with bunny brain before, and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants." "We've got to catch up with them, and teach Terriermon a lesson once and for all!"

Throughout the smoke, Timothy was coughing, but he was solely focused on finding Tokomon and Yokomon. As the smoke cleared, he saw Tokomon covering his mouth, face thing with his tiny legs and ran over to the little guy, "Tokomon! Are you alright!?"
"I'm fine... Where's Yokomon?"
Timothy looked around and sighed, "I think she was taken..."
"Then... Lets get her."
Timothy nodded and said, "Lets do it!"
He picked up Tokomon and walked over to Dante, hearing about the energy signals, and pulling out his own digivice, still trying to figure out how most of this thing works, "Hey, how do I see these signals? I need to kill a rabbit."
-Into the storage of Terriermon's Big Bad Bunnybot-
Yokomon was still smacking herself against the wall, doing absolutely nothing to it. She was slowly getting weaker and after a few minutes of smacking into the wall, she dedigivolved into Nyokimon. That didn't stop her from blindingly throwing seeds at the thing though.

Eva's mouth curled into a snarl as she continued laying down fire on the hostile vehicles, landing some good solid hits, hot brass casings flying everywhere still smoking as they dropped onto the forest floor, smoke rising from the glowing red hot barrel.
"Heads down, grenades!"
Eva hunkered down into cover, naturally assuming those smoke bombs were frags. With any luck the heavily armoured husk of the downed war machine would protect against the flying shrapnel. To her surprise however, the grenades detonated with large, thick clouds of vision blocking smoke!
The digimon quickly switched her optics to thermal mode, tracking the now fleeing targets. She pointed her newly acquired weapon towards them and crossed the wires once more. Click! Nothing left!
"Weapon dry! Targets are retreating!"
She placed the weapon down onto the still relatively intact bunnybot she was using as cover, standing up as the smoke cleared. Seemed this newcomer was for now completely in the zone, the cybernetic Renamon only regarding Dante's thanks with a quick nod, before switching her focus solely back to the task at hand.
"Don't thank me yet, this fight isn't over. I have the hostiles on thermal, we need to keep up the assault before they can regroup and deploy more armoured units to protect the hostages."

Dante thought about explaining the inner workings of Digivices, but they didn't have time to get into that. "Maybe later, let's head out and catch up with them." The group starts moving towards the energy signals. Their location was confirmed by Eva's thermal imagery. After a while of tracking Terriermon, they are still standing in the forest, no sign of the bunny bots. Dante checks his Digivice again. "That's strange. According to this, we are right next to them." Dante looks up in the sky. Nothing but a few branches.
Dante looks down. Nothing but dirt and grass. "I'd bet my last cigarette Terriermon has a secret underground base around here. Why else would he take a hostage and run away from a fight?" "Let's look around and see if we can find any rabbit dropping droppings, heh heh." Dante searches around, trying to locate any secret door leading to an underground layer. He checks the energy signals again. "They haven't moved much in a while. They've gotta be here somewhere."
Stingmon punches his fist into his hand. "Ohh, when I find Terriermon, I'm gonna tear open that tin can he hides in, and give his fluffy little butt such a beating! Nobody messes with my friends! And definitely not a greedy little rodent!" Dante can tell Stingmon is more motivated than normal. He wasn't concerned with building an ice cream factory, or getting some cheeseburgers. He really felt awful one of his comrades had been captured. "If fuzzball really does have a base around here, we won't leave until we blast it to smithereens! He can't be allowed to keep making machines and attacking innocent people. Somebody has to bring him to justice once and for all. And I don't see the police, or even DATS getting around to it. No, this falls on us to take care of."

Timothy nodded as he and Tokomon raced after Dante and Eva. Once they arrive and take a few quick glances around, Timothy sighs, "Alright... Time to start searching for a cave or something." Tokomon nods and races off, "We'll get in there and rip that bunny apart! Ear by ear." Timothy was amazed at how aggressive Tokomon could get when his sister was in danger like this, he didn't realize that thing could ever get so... Violent...
They walked together in the direction that felt the closest to right way, looking around at the ground and the higher terrain for any entrance. Tokomon was sniffing like a blood-hound, trying to think like a dog, to get Yokomon's scent.
"What are you doing?"
"Sniffing out Yokomon."
"Why would you do that? You're not a dog or anything."
"It's the only thing I think to do."
"Alright, works for me."

"This feels like a trap. We probably shouldn't try looking for a main entrance into this bunker complex, if that's what we're dealing with. They're bound to have weapon emplacements all set up and ready to tear us to shreds if we do that. Place like this should have a ventilation system to get fresh air from the surface. If it's big enough, that could be a good insertion point, provided there isn't an extractor fan in the way."
Eva started a methodical and systematic search pattern of all the likely areas a ventilation system could be hidden that she could see. Either that or some sort of small hidden backdoor that perhaps would have been forgotten about and unlikely to have an ambush set up at.
"If only we had a bunker buster. And a fighter bomber to deliver it. And a pilot. That would be one way of ensuring we aren't walking into an ambush."
