It was just a normal day of cleaning and tidying up the house for a certain little Kudamon. Scrambling around, the Digimon picked up as much 'filth' as possible, as he had been for the past week or two. Who else was going to take care of everything around here? It was clear that nobody else cared about keeping everything nice and tidy! He had already taken care of removing all of the lightbulbs in the house, found a new place to store all of the shoes, and relocated the socks that he hadn't eaten!
After coming to terms with the lady of the house knowing that he was here, rather than scrambling about in hiding, it was much easier to do all of this, too! Kuu could freely roam, throwing away old clothes, and even 'cleaning' the dishes! With his tongue, of course! "Maia would be so proud," the little fox puffed, dusting his paws off. "I gotta show her, when I'm done," he nodded to himself, scuttling around one of the bedrooms, and reaching a pile of paperwork. Ick, homework! Maia always seemed to hate this stuff! So, Kuu had the perfect solution!
With little paws, the digimon crumbled up a good portion of the loose papers, and began quickly chewing and swallowing the ones that he could fit down his throat. "She's gonna be so proud," he restated, banging the his cartridge on an expensive looking book. Hopefully this one was bought and not rented or borrowed! It was really a good thing that Kuu couldn't breathe fire or anything, otherwise the whole room would be in ruins! Or, perfect, really. The white monster thought it was fabulous! Still, he kept off of the laptop. Maia taught him that touching those things were a big no. Even if it did look like it needed some of Kuu's fantastic touch ups!
After consuming a large portion of the homework, and digging his claws through the rest of it (and a few notebooks), the full Digi waddled over to the bed and pulled himself up, knocking a sheet off of the mattress, and climbing beneath the pillow on the bed, to take a nap.
Sometime later, after a good nap, he would have to bring Maia to this random house that he found all by himself! The strange girl in the house didn't even seem to bat an eye at him, after all! And, anyone that didn't care if he helped out around the house was a good person! Drifting off, the little monster began to wonder why the bed had such a familiar smell to it. Oh well! Questions for another time!

Half asleep Shi walked through his door eyes almost closed after a long day, he really needed to walk around more, luckily he wasn't asleep long enough to need to learn to walk again, and since he was eighteen signing himself out was no problem. "Mirai I'm home." he called to his sister, who was asleep by now, having apparently decided to let the small fox who she assumed was with her brother destroy their house.
Half asleep Shi flicked the light switch to let in some light so he could at least see where he was going, only apparently that wasn't going to happen since they didn't turn on. Shi looked up at the lights noticing the bulbs had been taken out, did Mirai get Yuudai of Yasuo to pull them out? And if so why? He shrugged it off taking his shoes off putting it where they normally go, noticing his sister's and Shi's old shoes were missing, for some reason.
Now Shi was totally lost, this was the right house right? If it wasn't there were some weird people who just leave stuff out. Shi quickly locked the door opening it again with his key to make sure this was his house, sure enough it unlocked. "Ok?" the scarred young man said closing the door. Walking over to the kitchen to get a drink, his head was hurting now he needed to focus. He went to get a glass but noticed again the dishes were done, did Mirai do this? Checking them out he put his finger against it, noticing the distinct feel of something that wasn't fully clean, like no real soap was used.
"Well she doesn't know how to do dishes." he agreed with himself as he slipped his drink walking over to his room opening it. And blinking a few times closing the door. Then opening it again to make sure. His room was a mess, papers everywhere, clothes missing and his bed pretty much gone, covers and all aside from the matress. "Ok, Yuudai what the hell." he asked already assuming it was Yuudai.
Then his eyes locked on a small white fox on his head. Calmly walking over he bent down poking the fox. "Please don't be Kuu." he whispered to himself, that would mean a lot of things.

Well, if the sound of an opening and closing door wasn't enough to wake a sleeping 'mon, Kuu didn't know what was! Still, he tried to continue napping throughout all of it. After all, the girl running the house seemed young enough. Maybe open-close door was a fun game or something? But, then there was a masculine voice. A familiar one, too! Ah, if only it hadn't been several weeks since he'd actually seen or talked to any of his old friends! Still, the little monster only shuffled a little further into the pillow.
Why did people have to be so noisy?
Oh well, he was going to sleep, darn it! After all this hard work that the little ground-bound fox had to do by himself, he deserved it! It was hard enough to get to most of those lightbulbs with gravity fighting him, after all! And his tongue was raw from licking plates and glasses clean! People needed to let the working-class-foxes sleep!
But, the voice was in the room, and it sounded so familiar. Did he hear a familiar name dropped? Nah! It had to be how sleepy he was! He was hallucinating things! Just like someone poking him and saying his name! Yup, that was totally a hallucination right there!
Kuu was awake at this point, though, and the smell was all-too-familiar now. Maybe this wasn't just him going crazy from overworking himself to make this house spotless! Spinning out of his comfortable, little ball, the fox flailed in the direction of Shi. "Yes! I am Kuu!" The fox announced, proudly, before adding a questionable, "why are you asking it to not be me? I helped a lot!" Then, there was a pause. "Why is Shi-hallucination here?"

Please just let this be some sort of vision, he wouldn't mind going crazy he had been unconscious for about four weeks, he could just be imagining things that were around him when he got hurt, not trouble. Sadly the fox was oh to happy to say hi to Shi and also ask why he didn't want it to be him. Shi let out a loud sigh taking off his tattered coat from weeks ago and his cut up hat throwing them into his clothes bucket, which he noticed was emptiter then before.
With a loud sigh he simply looked at the fox. "Kuu, why are you in my house." Shi basically said instead of asking, he figured he should get that out of the way first then ask other questions. "Also were you the one to, to completely destroy all the work that has been building up for weeks." Shi asked noticing the papers were the ones Yuudai and Yasuo got him, homework. You've got to be kidding me.
And his drawing notebooks were broken, few years of art cut up to Tony shreds but he wasn't that mad about it, after all he thought they sucked anyway. "Also, where's Maia?" Shi quickly asked since he hoped she didn't ask him to do this.

Well! That didn't answer Kuu's question at all! People can't just use a question to answer another question! Lucky for Shi, Kuu had been feeling awfully generous, so he let it pass. "This time?" The rookie felt the need to inquire, emphasizing that he had been in the house multiple times in the past couple of weeks. "The lady left a window cracked so I could get in," he nodded. If it had actually been left open for him was pretty debatable. In fact, it had been the way he got in the first time! So, someone had probably just forgotten to close it at some point down the line. But, Kuu wanted to think that it was intentionally left open for him. To the next question, Kuu was very happy to admit to destroying all the work. "Yup! That stuff makes Maia mad, so I decided to get rid of it before inviting her over!" Solid logic! This also explained why the girl's grades had a tendency to slip. It never helped when someone ate her homework whenever he was left alone with it!
Less happy was the final question, where the little fox hummed and looked around the room vacantly. "I dunno," he finally decided on, still letting out little hums, as he eyed the destroyed stuff in the wastebasket. "I just cleaned that, y'know," the rookie puffed. Though, really, cleaning the garbage out often just meant 'stuff under the mattress' or 'find a corner to cram it in.' But, wasn't that the best way to take care of trash bins? Where else would that stuff go? "She was arguing with her mom again, when I left. Why's it matter? I'm here! That's what matters!" As heartfelt as Kuu sounded, in a different context, that was exactly what was 'the matter.' He had to learn to stop breaking into other people's houses!

Shi nearly snapped when he heard this time. Great so he had been in his house multiple times, luckily Shi pretty much loved alone by now, minus Mirai but she was quiet and never did anything. "Little lady, that was my sister." Shi said giving a small sigh at this, he told her not to let anything in without Yuudai or , speaking of the twins where were they? Odd.
Shi looked at the destroyed papers before sighing. "Alright then, but this stuff doesn't make me mad, please don't just assume." Shi said as calmly as normally, he really didn't want to yell at the fox, he could tell he really just wanted to do good, as much as it might seem the opposite.
Arguing with her mom? Problems at home maybe. It wasn't Shi's problem though, plus he was never good at asking or helping with that stuff. "The matter is you didn't, *Sigh.* nevermind, hey Kuu what happened to the light bulbs? The things that go in those sockets." Shi said pointing to them, he was worried about the answer though.

"I don't assume," Kuu pointed out, with a tilt of the head. "I know Maia doesn't like it. I didn't know it was your stuff. So, I was helping her by helping you! Or, whoever it belonged to," the monster nodded. It was good intent! Really! Even if it did make more of a mess than anything else! Ooh, though it didn't really taste as good as he let on. Paper was kind of gross to eat. But, it took sacrifice to show that he cared, so his tastebuds would have to deal with it!
Looking around the room, the little fox still seemed so proud. "I did a good job," he stated, still seeming very content with his work. Occasionally, eyes would shift to the tattered clothes, before he finally got fed up with it. Bounding into the basket, the little monster grabbed the hat in his mouth, and tried to roll himself up in the jacket. "how'd'joo break yer wearing-stuff, 'nyway?" the monster managed through cloth, as he began working diligently on stuffing them underneath Shi's mattress. Ah, this would make things look much better! Out of sight, out of mind!
Once the hat was out of his mouth, the little digimon let out a, "hm?" while looking around at empty sockets. "What're sockets?" This was an important question! "If you mean the buzzy-bright things, they're gone. Don't worry, they can't get you anymore," he insisted, sounding like it was another important task of his. "I couldn't eat them, though. Too sharp. Those things are mean," he huffed. "So I buried them in a bunch of different places outside, so they'll never hurt anyone again!" One really had to wonder why the fox thought that lightbulbs would hurt someone! But, it was probably something his own tamer couldn't even answer!

Shi could easily point out the flaws in the foxes logic, then recalled the fact that he would just assume he was wrong and Kuu was right, so no doing that. "Alright then, just if by any strange reason you go to another house, please don't do it again." Kuu was lucky he picked the one house with someone who wouldn't freak out and beat the tar out of the small fox, and he could since technically the fox was weaker then normal without Maia, but Shi really didn't want to think about killing Kuu, he might be tempted.
Shi simply didn't have enough energy to question, he would have to clean his room later. "Its the same clothes from weeks ago, remember." Shi said, his hat and jacket were ruined leaving him with just his black shirt with a hole in it.
Shi simply sighed again. "Ok buying new light bulbs." Shi mumbled to himself making Sure Kuu didn't hear him. "Alright then Kuu, thanks for, helping?" Shi said figuring that would be the easiest way to make sure Kuu doesn't say anything. "But does Maia know you left? She might be worried." Shi asked knowing he totally didn't have her number and neither did Kuu,

Shi really didn't seem as appreciative as he needed to be! Kuu did a great job! Why did nobody thank him for anything, ever? "Maia tells me not to go to other people's houses. She says it's not nice, but I was helping, so it fixes the mean-ness of it," the little digimon explained. This was all so well thought out! Not a flaw in sight! Ah, if only everyone could think things through so well!
"I don't remember your clothes!" Kuu pointed out, "I remember crazy, angry dinosaurs, and stabby-you-time? Or something. It's been, like, a couple weeks, or months, or something. Maia says you can't wear clothes that long," the alien knowledgeably pointed out. "She says it's 'not sanitary.' I don't know what 'sanitary' is, but she says it's an important thing! So, I gotta believe her!" Did he get all of his understanding of humanity from his tamer? That probably explained a lot about him! But, it really made sense, considering he was born in her house! Or, at least... born this time in her house? That whole reincarnation thing was still weird. Was this really Kuu's first 'life'?
Oh! There was the thank you! "Any time! If you ever want help cleaning, I'm good at it!" Or, he really wasn't. But, the fox really thought he was! Oooh, did Maia actually know he left? Hm. That was a tough one to answer! "Probably?" That also wasn't a promising answer! "Unless she got grounded again. But, it's not my fault this time! I'm not there!" It's really hard to blame someone for something when they're not there! Or, at least, that was his logic!
Surely, Maia was out looking for him by this point, though. Maybe he should have left a trail of bread crumbs! But, then he would have eaten them all!

Shi thought about what Kuu said, were he sane Shi would just know that technically Kuu did two bad things, break in and trash his house. With that clothes thing Shi knew that actually made some sense but Shi has a counter. "The people at the hospital cleaned it, for some reason Yuudai told them it was salvageable." Shi said remembering he didn't know where the two of them were, they were most likely find though.
Shi simply sighed contemplating the effects of kicking Kuu out. "Don't suppose you know where Maia lives? I could take you back." Shi offered hoping by chance that Kuu did know where Maia lived, cause Shi wanted to sleep and Kuu couldn't be trusted at night, if Shi wanted to clean this place tomorrow anyway.

"Hospital? Why were you there?" That explained why Shi had been vanished from his nice house! That was okay, because it let Kuu give him a big surprise by, unknowingly, cleaning his house for him! And, it seemed nice people took care of his clothes! There were so many people doing good things for Shi these days! He must deserve it for something.
But, speaking of... "Where is Yuudai? I haven't seen--" The Digimon cut himself off, ears twitching, as someone began knocking on the door. "Oh! Company! You gotta show 'em how well I cleaned the house!" Kuu nodded, rapidly, as he hopped off of the poor tamer's bed.
Outside, Maia waited to see if someone would answer the door, arms crossed. This was stupid. What was she supposed to say if the homeowner answered the door? 'Hi, I lost an alien fox that can talk, have you seen him?' On top of the potential that that descriptor could easily warrant a phone call to the police. Thankfully, the only time she had to make a visit like it, it was to her neighbor's house. Now? It was a total stranger! Sure, the teen needed to work on her social skills, but not like this!

Shi had a brand new scar on his face and one on his stomach and Kuu was there, granted Shi was surprised he knew what a hospital was in the first place. "I got, hurt real bad. I was asleep for a long time." Shi dumbed it down for the fox figuring he would go the Yuudai route with this. "And I don't know where Yuudai is, though I'm sure he's fine." Shi answered as Kuu went over to the door.
"Isn't even my digimon." Shi said with another sigh wondering how he managed to get this to be a thing, honestly it felt weird having to look at another digimon without his own nearby. Grabbing his a green jacket from his luckily untouched backpack he quickly put that on to cover his scars on his arm just in case it was his parents or something. They don't know he left yet to his knowledge.
Shi quickly made his way after the fox getting to the door before sighing. "Ok, look at it this way, according to my dumb streak of luck Maia is most likely on the other side of this, either that or I ruin this whole digimon secret by Kuu wanting friends." Shi said very quietly to himself as he decided to open the door, and sure enough standing there was Maia.
Shi just kinda stood there for a moment wondering what to say. 'Hey I'm back from the dead here's your fox.' or maybe. 'Hey Kuu just buried all my light bulbs, can I have some?' He decided to wait for Maia himself unsure of what to say.

It really seemed like Shi talked to himself a lot, didn't it? While Kuu didn't want to burst the young man's bubble about thinking that he was being too quiet for a fox to hear, the little Digimon felt the need to grumble, "I know not to talk to strangers, okay? Now you're assuming!" Except, there was that one little girl, that one time. But, who cared about that? That was in the past! And Shi didn't know it happened!
He also wasn't going to point out that he could pick up his tamer's scent on the other side of the door. Yay for mysteries!
Maia wasn't exactly expecting Shi to be behind the door. Or anyone that she knew, for that matter. Eyes were downcast, dreading the moment that the person at the door needed an explanation. The door opening both took forever, and far too little time. "Ah, um," the blonde began, pausing to lift her gaze to the person at the door. There was a long silence, as the tamer seemed to process that she actually knew this person. Initially, her face had become blank, before eyes grew wide, and both hands lifted to cover the frown that had come across her face. After all, last time she'd seen Shi, he'd been put into some pretty bad shape!
Also, how did she have no idea that Shi and two dinosaurs lived in her neighborhood?
Lips parted, as if she intended to say something, but words escaped her. Several questions and comments swarmed the girl's mind, trying to fight for dominance in this very dumb moment. Kuu felt the need to inform, "Maia forgot how to speak again." Hearing her pet talking answered at least one of the questions that wanted to come out. "She breaks a little sometimes; it's okay." While probably unnecessary, if Kuu didn't tell someone it, what if they actually thought his tamer was malfunctioning? The fox couldn't let them throw her away or something!
Taking a small step forward, the girl made a surprisingly fast movement to wrap arms around Shi's neck, as an incredibly brief hug, if she wasn't moved out of the way by the injured teen. It was such an absent-minded action, that she found herself almost instantly shoving her hands into her pockets, as she moved backwards again, regardless. "Y-- Uh," Maia hesitated, finally seeming to regain some of her very-much-lost composure. "You're alive," she stated, finally. Well, that was obvious. But, it wasn't like she had been able to check up on Shi after the dark evolution incident! "And, you have Kuu for some reason?"

Shi fully didn't know what to make of what Maia dod, covering her mouth. He really didn't expect to meet someone he knew this quickly. Maybe in some part of his mind he was dreading it. But there wasn't any turning back now, well there was but that would cause more problems down the road.
Maia wasn't the only one who forgot how to speak, when she opened her mouth to talk and say something Shi figured he should at least try, only like her he wasn't able to get any words out at all, he couldn't think of what to say, what to do. To put Kuu out and close the door, he obviously couldn't do that, not after he pretty much nearly got them killed before, he was cold but not a jerk.
But Shi definitely didn't expect that reaction from Maia, out of everything that was what surprised him the most. She has quickly hugged him, not expect that he didn't react like he would of normally, backing up or moving his hands, instead he just sat there eyes going a bit wide until Maia backed up putting her hands in her pockets. Shi scratched the back of his head a bit unsure of what he should do after that.
Finally Maia managed to talk, saying something Shi hoped was true. "Uhh, Yeah." Shi simply replied, it wasn't even a joking tone, all he did was agree he was alive not knowing what else to say and he still didn't have enough of his mind set to coherently speak much less joke. "Oh ya, I found him curled up in my bed, apparently my sister let him in." Shi said for a moment forgetting what Kuu did to the house.

Well, it was a pretty good thing that Shi hadn't gone with the option to put Kuu outside and close the door. That would have just been rude! Especially with how alarmed Maia had become about this entire thing! She wasn't sure what was the biggest part of this entire thing: that Kuu had run off again, or that a battered Shi had opened the door. Either way, everything seemed to be in an alright place right now.
Still, this was kind of putting the teen in a daze! There was just too much on her mind.
Brushing the bangs out of her eyes, Maia found herself still being rather awkward. "Sorry," she found herself mumbling. It was hard to say which thing she was apologizing for. Was it for the hug, or for Kuu breaking into someone's house? She'd just go with both. Both sounded good. She'd let Shi take it for whatever first came to mind. Judging by how dark the house looked inside, Maia was figuring he'd want it more for Kuu being in his house.
"Your sister let him in?" the tamer echoed, looking to the ground for her Digimon. Why would his sister just let a random ferret-fox-thing into the house? That seemed kind of weird. Oh well. "I hope he didn't break anything?" A valid concern, as far as Maia was concerned.
But, Kuu didn't seem to agree. "I don't break things! I make them better," he argued. "And someone had to take care of the house! Shi just got outta the hospital, after all! He almost died!" Okay, so maybe Shi didn't say that last part, but being asleep for a long time certainly sounded like almost dying to a Kudamon!
This didn't help the concern level of this situation. Maia found herself looking between the other tamer and her Digimon, trying to establish if there was some sort of joke she was supposed to be picking up on in all of this. Finally, eyes would set themselves on Shi. This really shouldn't have been a surprise. "You did?"
