"Umm. Jeez. I dunno how to explain all this in a way that won't make me look crazy," Yoshi peers around. Let's see. Places he could explain this. A bakery. An alleyway. Right here in the middle of the street. A cattery. Well. As appealing as that last one might be, he beckons and moves to stand at the edge of the alleyway, not daring to go too far down it, for Honeydew's safety as much as his own. Assuming she follows, he takes an enormously deep breath and begins to rattle off information nonstop. Creatures, called Digimon, from another dimension, who team up with humans to go on adventures, among other things. That the egg she's holding is probably her future partner, or else it's a heck of a coincidence, and that the device on his wrist usually shows up around the same time, in his very limited experience.

Honeydew walked over to where Kiyoshi beckoned her and listened intently to what he said. Somehow managing to retain what he was blabbering about, she nodded as he spoke. Son after he finished, Cassie had an extremely important question. So she put on a determined face and asked it. Sadly enough her tone nor the question itself matched the face she put on. "D-doesn't this sound more like some sort of video game than a-actuality...?" Don't get her wrong, she had no problems with this being fact, she'd been through enough torment already, it was time for some fun! But it just seemed a little... a lot far fetched. Soon after she asked the question however, the fountain managed to effectively shoot something straight for her head a second time, it was a digivice! Cassie fell forward a few seconds later though, it would seem the head trauma from a large egg and a small projectile hitting her in the exact same spot in quick succession took quite the toll, knocking her out.
"Um. I gue--oh," Yoshi stares, dumbfounded as a Digivice bounces off the girl's head. What the absolute heck?! He checks to make sure she's still, y'know, alive, and then picks up the egg and Digivice, setting them aside and checking where the nearest hospital is on his phone. What? He can't just leave her all knocked out. That's like...super bad for you, bro.

When Honeydew opened her eyes she immediately noticed she was looking at the sky, instead of her bedroom ceiling. "Uh... W-what hap- Oh... R-right... What hit me?" She asked, neglecting to actually get up.
"Your Digivice. Like mine, see?" He rolls his sleeve up again to show her his D3 clipped to his wristband, and then holds up her own, "See! I was telling the truth," Yoshi beams, "But, um. Don't move too much. You might have a concussion or something," He winces. Right. Hadn't he learned how to check for those? Something about lights. Is he supposed to start a rave or something? Ooh. That could be fun.
"How do you feel? That looked like it super-hurt!"

"My head hurts... A-a lot... Those things can really pack a punch." Cassie answered somewhat weakly, she wasn't too used to literally getting knocked out and falling onto the ground face first. She just wanted to lay there, it wasn't standing up, which would probably hurt more. In her mind at that moment, everything but lying down was a bad choice.
"Oh boy!" He holds up a finger and asks Cassie to follow it with her eyes, checking that she's not too badly concussed. "Just take it super-slow, okay! That looked like a really bad fall! Um," He moves the egg and Digivice within range of Cassie's arms, "Maybe these will prove I'm telling the truth though, Miss Honeydew!"

As Cassie's eyes followed Yoshi's finger, the egg next to her had wedged a crack in it's own shell. Obviously noticing the sound right next to her, she turned her head in it's direction and began to panic, even in her downed state. She hopped up and started to pace in circles as if she'd never been knocked out in the first place. "What do we do, what do we do, i-it's hatching! Should it hatch? Wait no, what if I b-broke it?! What if I killed a poor little digital... t-thing!" If it wasn't clear by now, worrying is her strong suit.

"Don't panic! It'll all be okay!" Yoshi reassures the elder of the two of them, "Relax! You're about to meet your very own partner for the first time! Um. Just try not to attract too much attention to us. It'd be super bad if people found out about Digimon, okay?" He pats her shoulder as best as he can, "Don't worry! You seem super-cool, you're gonna do awesome, 'kay?"

"O-okay..." Cassie blushed, taking a deep breath to try and calm herself. Even though given by a nine year old, any compliment not given by her mother was a rare sight for Cassie. So what Yoshi said meant a lot more to her than it probably should have. Suddenly, the egg split in two, and the two halves fell to their sides. Inside laid a Pupumon! But... I-it was asleep...? Cassie sighed sadly. "It's already b-bored of me..." After the initial disappointment of the Pupumon's assumed boredom of Cassie. She covered her mouth, as she knew she was going to start freaking out again. "A-a slimeball was in that egg!" She said, expecting something like a chicken. Luckily, her voice was muffled by her hands.
Yoshi presses a finger to his lips, "Shh!" He kneels down and opens his satchel, letting a pair of white blobs with arms, feet and tiny gold wings hop out. Twin Kyupimon. "It's not bored of you, it's just a baby. Most Digimon look like little blobs when they're in their Fresh and In-Training stages. They get bigger and more developed as they go! These are my partners, the Kyupimon!"
"Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" "Hi!" "Hi" And so on, ad infinitum.

Cassie couldn't do anything but stare at them gleefully, overcome with cuteness. She gives a little wave to the twins. Soon after, the Pupumon lazily opens its eyes (halfway) and it gives the most relaxed smile you could ever expect from any kind of digimon. Cassie is then overcome with even more cuteness, this is a danger zone. She might have a cuteness overload!
Yoshi pats the two adorable little Digimon on the head to shut them up, before turning his eyes to Cassie's new partner, Pupumon. Whoa! That thing is relaxed. Definitely no immediate danger here! "Wow! That thing seems super-chill, Miss Honeydew! I think he'll be a really great fit for you!" He, she, it, whatever. "I wonder what it'll turn into when it's all grown-up!"

"W-wait... How do I take care of this... cute little slime ball... t-thing? It's basically a pet r-right? Oh god- What do slime balls even eat?!" She started to pace again, never more than a moments rest for the Honeydew! Cassie went for a classic move, the pace. Ooh! A sweat drop! She's just getting more and more stress points!

"Um. K-kinda? They're a lot smarter than pets! Like, people-smart! Maybe even smarter! Um. Well. When my partners aren't tiny like this, they eat a lot of the same stuff I do! Sandwiches, candy, cookies," That might explain why Yoshi and his partners are so sickly sweet and sugary. Awful, awful creatures."Don't worry! It'll be okay! I managed to get used to it, and I'm nine!"
