Huh? Why she was here? All that Haley remembered was that she was in the Village of Beginnings with Elliot and Isaac, then that she went looking to a stray baby across a river, and in her hurry... she ended up hitting her head with a stray branch some distance across it. Really dumb on her part, now that she realized it.
"Ow..." The girl groaned, as she rubbed her sore forehead. That had hurt a fair bit, even though she was sure that nothing was broken.
First thing she did was to stand up, and then to look for any of the brothers, hoping to find either of them, and knowing that she had screwed up royally after realizing that neither were near. This couldn't be good... but it wasn't that bad either. How much danger there would be in a place that was really near the Village of Beginnings? Besides, Isaac and Elliot would probably search for her as soon as they realized that she was missing, right? She hoped that'd be the case. Or that she found her way back to Terminus. Either or was fine.
In the meantime, just went through the forest, trying to not to get too deep into it, but not wanting to waste the opportunity to visit it, and hopefully remember something about it.

Causing trouble, always causing trouble. It seemed like everywhere this duo went, death count and thefts went up. First there was the man on the beach who surrendered his money after they had stolen his briefcase. Then, much more seriously, the event with group of kids in the forest which happened a while ago now. Most recently was the Dorumon who ended up getting pierced by multiple spikes and died. And the petty theft here and there, ripping off restaurants and shops or robbing them; Everett was amazed that they weren’t wanted criminals… Yet. Two digimon had died at the hands of Graedon now, which on its own was enough to warrant a head hunt. But still, the two were able to come and go as they pleased.
Man this place was great!
Everett took a deep breath of crisp air, exhaling with a smirk as he relaxed. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a cigar and a zippo, then flicked the light open and set the cigar ablaze. Toxic fumes quickly rose to surround him, wrecking the quality of the otherwise fresh air. ”Ahhh. That’s much better.” mumbled the man, puffing his cigar. They continued forward, looking to find some water for Graedon. The bear was parched for he’d just spent a whole day at the Spartan training grounds, taking advantage of the fact that he had many forms to evolve into now. Those training grounds were tough, and it was the perfect place to train your body all the way from rookie to mega.
The bruin digimon looked up at his tamer, eying him guiltily. He snapped his fingers to get the man’s attention, but he did not even get a glance from the man. Graedon crinkled his nose and was about to say something to Everett, but before he could get any words in, the tall man took over. ”You ain’t getting any, kid! Trust me, after a workout like that and being this thirsty, you’ll regret it. Besides.” Everett flashed a cocky smile at the rookie. ”This is my last one and I’m planning on savoring every sweet smoldering puff of this here cigar.” He exhaled a cloud of smoke into the bear’s face. Graedon, as short tempered as he was, did not have the energy to be witty or start a scene. And besides, he knew that as much as he liked smoking, his mouth was already a desert. It would be a terrible idea. ”Whatever man.” retorted the bear spitefully.
They were nearing the village of beginnings, a place that Everett should have had the decency to stay away from with that cigar. But of course, rather than being a gentleman, he mindlessly stepped into the village and strode right over the colorful ground where the baby digimon’s eggs lay. He even had the audacity to knock a few eggs and cribs over purely out of carelessness, for he couldn’t be bothered to watch his step. Graedon however, deliberately punted any empty cribs or egg shells he came across just because he could. He wanted to entertain himself! He may have been tired and parched, but that didn’t mean he’d let himself become bored!
They wandered out of the core of the village and towards the woods, Everett now finishing his cigar and tossing the butt into an empty egg shell before they left. He reached for his flask and took a sip of sake, but as he was putting the flask back in his pocket, he felt a tug. The tug was forceful enough to pull his arm down and make the man lose his grip, dropping the flask and spilling alcohol all over the remnants of the colorful ground tiles. Furious, he scrambled to pick it up and began shouting at the clumsy bear. ”Aw man look what you did! Damn it Graedon what the f*ck! You worthless punk, man I ought ta-“ ”Look that way chump! You’re so thick skulled sometimes, just shut up and look!” Graedon pointed out towards the woods. He had spotted a lone girl walking through the thicket, and his first thought was if she had any money or valuables on her. She would be an easy target if she truly was alone.
Everett collected himself and put the flask away. He gave Graedon a quick nod of approval before starting towards her. ”Yeah alright I’ll give you some credit. But shit Grae don’t be doing that kinda stuff ever again. I’ll cut ya bub.” The duo approached the lady, Everett clearing his throat and looking his best as not to alarm her to his greedy intentions. ”Excuse me, miss? Hello! I think you dropped something! Excuse me!” his voice was soft, his demeanor approachable, and his gestures innocent. If they got close enough, they would have a better chance of seeing if she had any goods on her that they could snatch up.

As she wandered around, the girl suddenly heard a voice coming her way; calling for her, apparently? It wasn't anything she had heard before, so... she just turned around, facing the strange pair in front of her, curiosity shining in her eyes.
For some reason, she ended up staring at the the man and the bear rather intently. They were... familiar; she couldn't exactly tell why, but she had the impression she knew those two from before. Was that something good... or bad, however?
Maybe she ended up staring them for too much time, because before she realized it, the duo was already in front of her, making her ponder the question she'd been asked.
"Huh, really?" The only belongings she had right now were the eggs she was currently carrying in a backpack, and she was pretty sure the three of them were pretty safely tucked back there. "What did I drop?"
Waving the the pair as a greeting, Haley awaited the bear's answer; maybe he'd found something somebody else lost in this place? Wonder if they could return the lost item to its owner; he or she would probably be happy about it.

Grins rose on their faces when the girl stopped and waved them over. "Alright it's show time" Graedon thought at that moment, twiddling his thumbs and approaching the girl. But as he neared her, he felt an odd pang of familiarity. It didnt make much sense but still his expression grew softer, his ears twitching when the girl spoke. Could it be? Was that Mana? No, not possible. They sound the same, they look... similar. But this was a different girl.
Still, the bear could not shake that feeling that he knew here somehow. He looked at Everett with a puzzled expression, Rett returning the look. "Psst! Is that Mana?" Graedon asked Everett quietly. Unsure of this himself, Everett shifted his gaze from Graedon to the girl and back. "I don't think so?" He replied with uncertainty.
Everett returned his attention to the lady on front of them. "Ya know what, maybe it was just a leaf falling off your shoulder or something. What's yer name, doll?" His tone was friendly enough, but the uncertainty could be sensed. Graedon on the other hand padded up to her and reached out to poke at her leg. He smirked up at her. "Do I know you lady? Is that you maybe? Are you Mana? I think I know you?" He continues to poke at the girl's leg, his one eyebrow raised in curiosity. Graedon occasionally shifted his gaze to the lady's pockets and backpack, not passing up an opportunity to check for any goods... just in case it wasn't Mana after all.
To his dismay, it didn't look like she had anything on her. Not even a digivice. But maybe inside her backpack? He'd have to check later. A realization hit him as he conjured up the thought. "Hey are you here alone? Where's your digimon?" Graedon asked bluntly.

These two were... a little suspicious to say the least. Why they were asking so many questions? For some reason, Haley didn't have a good feeling about this. But still, what she could do about this? Not much, in all honesty.
"M-my name? My name's... Ha—" Before she could complete that sentence, mention of "Mana" went through her ears as an electric current. She didn't know why, but she knew that that name was important. "Mana? Huh..."
Why this situation felt so... familiar? And why the bear digimon was being so familiar with her. Could it be that...? The redhead couldn't but adopt a pensive expression as she gazed at the duo, finally choosing to... trust in them. As doubtful as that idea sounded in her head.
"Maybe you guys know me? Let me explain." She still had a bad feeling about this, but still went on. "I... kinda woke up today, washed away in a nearby shore and my head was just... blank. No name, no memories, nothing at all; Could it be that you guys know me from the past? Like, that was my name; Mana? You guys sure of that?"
Her eyes were almost pleading towards the pair, they having ignited a tiny spark of hope. They didn't look to recognize her all that much, but... probably they did. She really hoped they did.
"And I'm kinda alone, I guess? My partners haven't hatched yet. But hopefully they will soon."

This situation was a little perplexing to say the least. This girl seemed a little confused, not knowing her own name or identity, not aware of who they were. Graedon could swear that he knew her, he could swear that this was Mana! She didn’t look exactly like her, no; her hair was different, her face seemed a little different. She wasn’t identical to the girl he remembered. But then again, memory was such a fickle thing, and so many things had happened in the vast amount of time since he’d last run into Mana. At this point, Graedon had learned to trust his gut feeling over his not-so-photographic memory.
Things did clear up once the odd lass opened up a little, sharing her story with the two thugs. Grae shot a glance at his tamer, whose shoulders looked to be looser, his general demeanor appearing to have relaxed and softened. There was always something so daunting about the way that man stood when he had bad intentions even when he tried to speak softly… He didn’t seem to be the best actor around. But Everett looked back at the bear with a neutral gaze, and they both nodded to one another after the girl finished her story. It seemed they had a mutual understanding of the situation as well as a mutual kindness towards Mana – or whoever this was. In the past, if this was Mana, she was the closest thing Everett had to a friend in the digital world, and Graedon had an immediate fondness for her since the day they met. It was clear that the duo no longer had malicious intent. They wanted to help this girl discover her memories.
The rookie bear rested his chin on his hand as he pondered. ”Huh…” he mumbled. At the moment, he was wondering about her digimon partners. Where were they if they were still unhatched? Did she let them stay at the village while they stewed cozily in their shells, leaving her to fend for herself? But then he realized something. That backpack of hers did look awfully full; could they be in there? ”Yer buddies aren’t being great pals if they ain’t hatching for ya yet, lady!” he concluded, placing his hands on his hips. ”Are they in here?” Graedon reached out rudely for the backpack, looking to give it a couple of knocks. ”Hey! Heya chumps! You ain’t being helpful, get outta there! Lazy bums, your partner needs ya!” His knuckles thudded against the material walls, giving out a hollow noise. Clearly, this digimon had no concern for personal space or respect whatsoever.
Everett disregarded the rookie altogether. He could do whatever he wanted as far as the man was concerned. He jumped straight back to the lass’s story, wondering if he could help spark a memory or two. ”Well shit, tuts. Sounds like a hell of a pain. I mean…” Rett looked the girl up and down. ”Sure you got the looks, but I’m not gonna lie, you don’t look exactly like her. Well… you look very similar. But you sound identical to Mana, and that’s pretty convincing.” The lawyer knew that anyone could change their hair, lose or gain some weight, develop both softer and more rigid faces over time. But he wasn’t convinced. ”How about this, okay. My name's Everett, this kid is Graedon. We've run into each other a few times, got along pretty decent too. Now," Everett paused, picking out an event to recount for her. "Do you remember when we did a cooking thing together? Well, not exactly together. We were opponents, but we played in some crazy gameshow ‘n baked some pastries.” Everett began to chuckle. ”Man that host was a god damn weirdo too! Some pink dinosaur who could definitely shed a few pounds. I think that broad got into the cookie jar every hour on the hour by the looks of it, ha!” He grinned and tapped a finger against the side of his skull. ”Anythin’ in that cute little head of yours?”

This was so confusing for Haley, even though she definitely knew these two were related to her in some way. She just had to try to reach out for those memories.
To try really hard, apparently. But at least she was a bit relieved at the fact that the two of them seemed to be keen on helping her, even if as pair they looked a bit... dubious, on all honesty. She tried to chase away those thoughts, however; if they wanted to help her so selflessly, that meant these two were good guys, right? The fact that she was still doubting them made her feel kinda guilty, in all honesty.
At least until the bear began beating into her backpack, that is. The redhead's expression immediately turned into one of utter concern; eggs were supposed to be fragile, right?
"W-wait a second! Wh-what are you do—" A loud, really obvious cracking sound right after the last of the bear's punch interrupted the girl's speech, leaving her staring at the digimon in utter horror as she reached for the insides of her backpack as fast as she could, trying to discern how big the damage was
Seemingly, it was on the topmost egg; an orange one with a reddish flowery pattern. The crack on it was rather evident. And that made Haley the saddest she had been since... well, since she had memory. She already could feel the hot tears forming themselves on her eyes, until... another cracking sound came out from the very same egg.
Totally befuddled, she couldn't but observe as the egg within her hands progressively cracked until its topmost part came out, revealing a small, seedlike digimon. She seemed to be of pretty much the same color as the egg she had came from; yellow and red.
"Uh, hi?" It was a dubious greeting at best, and the digimon didn't look like she was too amicable, frowing as aggressively as her features could, and doing the same to both Graedon and Everett too. For some reason, Haley thought she'd be cursing already, if it weren't for the fact that she didn't have a mouth.
Even if her expression didn't change, she took seat in between her partner's arms, almost cradling herself in between them.
"Well, I guess that went rather smoothly." Even if the her partner's attitude didn't seem to be the best, at least for the time being at least.
Going back into the conversation, those names... Everett and Graedon; they were oddly familiar, especially the part about the cooking contest. In fact, she began to remember some facts about it.
"Wait, wait... I think I remember that!" She exclaimed, happiness exuding from her voice. "There were four participants, right? What happened in the end? I don't remember either you or me winning the whole thing, but maybe my memories about it are fuzzy at best."
Whoa, remembering felt so... exhilarating. She could even remember a bit about the contest's host, even if her name escaped her, at least for now. Leaving her partner in the ground for a while, she immediately knelt before Grae and hugged the bear tightly.
"Thank you two. Thanks a lot, really." To think that she was about to cry of sadness like three minutes ago and now she felt like crying again, but this time of happiness. While a cooking contest wasn't something exactly vital for her to remember and even if the whole thing was still somewhat hazy for her, any memory was infinitely more valuable than zero. And she owed them for that.

Everett’s attention shifted from the conversation to the bear and the egg. Clearly, Mana wasn’t having it, though it seemed she lacked the sternness to tell Graedon to stop. Before they knew it, there was a cracking noise under the digimon’s knuckles, and the girl panicked. He could see her eyes welling up with tears, he could tell that she was distraught by his parnter’s actions. Still though, he only sighed, turning away from her as he slipped his hand into his jacket pocket and pulled out his flask. A bittersweet liquid stung at his tongue before he returned the accessory to its hiding place. Staring off into the woods, he wondered what they should do next with this girl. Aside from reminding her of the memories, what were they supposed to do?
The tamer had an idea. He spun around to share his suggestion, but upon doing so he found himself staring at a new face albeit a tiny one. Cradled in the young lady’s arms was a strange yellow and red creature, limbless and plump, only two eyes staring from the round of its plain figure. Looks like Graedon had done something right. ”Damn, look at that.” he said rather nonchalantly. ”You got yerself a digimon after all, tuts. But ya may want to work on that attitude problem. No one likes a brat you know!” He grinned cockily.
Graedon found himself coddled by the girl’s arms as she leaned over and hugged him tightly. The rookie’s demeanor immediately went from cocky to spineless as he melted away in the girl’s affection. ”D’aww shucks…” he mumbled loosely. But being himself, no matter how comfortable and endeared he was, he still shot a mischievous glance at the neonate digimon, sticking out his tongue as if to imply that Mana liked him better. He started to chuckle. ”See Mana! I know what I’m doing! I may not always seem like a genius or nuthin, but I know how to get business done! Heh.” He looked up at the girl with joyful eyes. ”Want me to get the other guy out too?” he joked around, tapping on his knuckles humorously and smiling from cheek to cheek.
Everett walked over to the small digimon with a suspicious expression. ”Hopefully for you the pipsqueak won’t grow a mouth, cause it looks like it has a whole lecture prepped in that baby brain.” The lawyer poked the side of the digimon’s cheek, not sure what sort of reaction he’d elicit. One thing he expected was that the infant wouldn’t be amused by his intrusive prodding. ”Anyway.” he took a few steps back and continued with the pressing issue of Mana’s memory loss. ”Sounds like somethin’s clicking in there! Looks like you must be Mana after all, kid. So the cooking show, weeeeellll. To be honest, I got lazy and bored, decided to leg it after a little while. I ain’t bad at cooking, but it just isn’t my cup of tea you know?” his eyes rolled up to the tree tops. ”So I can’t help ya there. But Mana, or whatever you think your name is, I gotta tell ya something.” his expression went flat for a moment. There was a tense pause between them as he held his tongue. ”Contain yourself, keep your feelings at bay, you know? Cry babies ain’t fun to deal with. Take a breath, take a few. And here, this’ll take the edge off, sip it down sweetie.” he offered her the flask.
With his arm extended towards her, he decided to keep going with his idea. ”Remember the giant pig? In that jungle, this enormous frickin’ swine. Smelled like a rotting corpse in the sun, but man was that thing vicious. It tore up half the jungle before scamperin’ off somewhere. That thing almost trampled us hard.” He debated on starting a journey there, and if he had Graedon evolve into WaruMonzaemon, they’d get there rather quickly. But for now, he would let her brain swish around the memories a little before making any more suggestions or decisions.

After staring staring back at her partner once, and then twice, the girl concluded on her having... an attitude, even though she was just born. Yeah, maybe that'd be problematic in the future, but how she'd be able to measure that, given that the small digimon wasn't even capable of speech? Maybe she'd have to address that later. Or maybe the digimon was displeased just because her egg had received a hard knock, So, for the time being, she'd just leave her be and would figure things out later.
The newborn digimon, on the other side, didn't seem to be all that interested in the situation, well, besides her perpetual frown as she observed how the two humans and the Bearmon interacted. She didn't seem to mind the bear's rude gesture in the slightest; in fact, if anything, she seemed to be strangely entertained by it. The human's prodding, however, was taken in a totally different light. The frown back on her face, she stared directly into the man's eyes; if she weren't a baby, that'd have been pretty menacing, but the absence of features just made her look like she was really angry. Well, that, and the fact that right now, the Plumulmon was exuding her particularly sweet, yet slightly hallucinogenic scent. Not an attack for anybody to worry about, but at least she wanted for whoever that was bothering her to see funny colors for a while. And maybe leave her alone. That'd be nice.
Back with Mana, she listened attentively to what Rett had to say about it. Uh, so he had abandoned it? So what happened in the end? Before she could ask about that, however, she was confronted by the tall man; she had to steel herself in order to remember apparently. Maybe what she had lived through weren't pleasant experiences; in any case, she nodded to his words, deciding to place her trust in him. Even if remembering had been a bit of an emotional moment, she thought she could weather whatever else was in her past.
And so, looking resolute, she looked directly at Everett's eyes.
"Okay. I'll take it. No more crying; now bring it on." She wasn't all that sure about this, but still took the flask and gave it a generous sip. Not being used to alcohol, she showed pretty obviously her dislike for the taste, but still gulped it down. Feeling dizzy for a while, tried her best to concentrate, and once again, she listened attentively to him. A giant... pig? That sounded oddly familiar. Yeah, she already could remember some vague details out of it.
"Y-Yeah, I remember Grae evolving into... a giant, black teddy bear, right? I also remember more people fighting, but I can't really remember who, or if they were people I knew or not. I remember that boar eventually leaving, even though it didn't kill anybody, and I'm not sure if we did any significant damage to it either. Uh... talk about confusing." She made a small pause, before adding. "Did it ever come back? Or never returned. That was a bit... awfully suspicious, if you ask me."

Everett laughed as the girl grabbed the flask and took a drink. It didn’t exactly look like she liked it, but he ought to give her some credits because she didn’t cough, wince, or complain about it. She took that booze straight and gave the flask back like a champ. ”Atta girl! That’s how ya swig’er.” he took back the flask and slipped it into his pocket again. While this was happening, the man failed to realize that the angry baby digimon had secreted a sweet scent. Little be known to him, the odd fragrance gave off mild hallucinations, and within just moments he began to see some interesting things.
Mana started about Graedon digivolving into a big black teddy bear back in the jungle. Yeah that was right, she was on the right path! There was a big black teddy bear… just like… just like the one in that tree. ”Yup! Yuppers! Yuppity sure was! Like that yupper riiiiiight THERE!” he enthusiastically shot his arm up into a tree, pointing somewhere in the bushes. In his mind, those leaves had warped into the figure of a WaruMonzaemon who was hiding. ”Come on out ya coward! Quit hiding behind those red leaves! WE ALL SEE YOU!” Just then, the tall lawyer started giggling frantically, ignoring everything that Mana had just said. He was a little high, to say the least.
The man wavered back and forth before plopping himself cozily on his butt. He unbuttoned his blazer and sloppily pulled back the sleeves of his dress shirt before swaying his palms over the ground. ”Whoooshhhh. The grass is so warm.” he giggled. At this point, his cheeks were beet red and it was clear that something was wrong with him. He looked up at Graedon and Mana with a childish expression, his pupils the size of dinner plates, covering every possible fragment of iris. ”Why are you guys yellow?” he stuck his tongue out.
Graedon, while he listened to Mana’s reply, was now genuinely concerned about Everett. What the hell just happened? He walked over to Rett with a scowl on his face, stopping a few inches in front of him. ”What the hell man?” he demanded. But upon approaching his tamer and lingering for a moment, he picked up on an unfamiliar smell. Immediately, Graedon sprinted away from the man, coughing as he did so. ”OOOOOOH SHIT!” The bear began to cackle. ”Mana, you might want to be careful! That devil spawn of yours just puffed out some crazy gas thing that makes people act funny. I mean, I think, but Everett smells like it, and I smell it coming from you guys too. I hope it doesn’t get to ya so you don’t act like buddy guy over here.” He grinned toothily. ”Us Bearmon’s can smell lotsa weird things. Your little dude is toxic, it does have a real attitude on it!” He chortled, returning to Mana’s side.
Everett’s head began to spin, his pupils shrinking rapidly and his face returning to a normal color. Slowly the man began to stand up, grunting a little as he did so. His head was quickly clearing out, and within a few minutes, the world had returned to its –mostly- normal state. ”What the shit was that…” he muttered, wrapping his palms around his skull. ”That pipsqueak doesn’t like ya, Rett! You musta really pissed it off!” ”God damned prick.” The man was still speaking quietly, clearly needing a moment to collect himself.
Graedon decided to pick up where they’d left off, assuming that Mana was feeling okay too. ”So uh, anyway! Yeah no one got hurt or nuthin. But the pig just kinda… left. Suspicious? Yeah, but we were glad no one got squished!” He smiled. ”Do you uh, do you think if we went back there, it might help you get a flash back or sumthin? Cause it wouldn’t take that long to go there ya know! I can carry us there. Whaddya think ladyfriend?” He wondered if the girl would be as enthusiastic about going somewhere with them as she was about remembering things. He also couldn’t help but wonder if either Rett’s alcohol or the baby digimon’s noxious fragrance would affect the cute girl’s train of thought.
Everett walked closer to the group, his sleeves rolled down and his blazer returned to its place. He was breathing a little heavily, but he was fine now. ”DON’T do that again kid, I’ll punt ya across the god damn village next time.” he threatened the fresh digi groggily. ”Uhh anyway, yeah, going there. I was gonna ask if that was somethin’ you’d wanna check out, tuts? Might get some more sparks flying. Who knows what you’ll remember on the way. You know what they say? Seeing is believing! Graedon, show ‘er what I mean!”
At that moment, Graedon nodded, and a stream of raven and violet energy enveloped the small bear. He began to glow brightly, to the point of blinding the trio in front of him, and within seconds his body had changed shape and erupted in size. He had digivolved. ”WaruMonzaemon!” his voice was now frighteningly deep and grisly as it thundered through the forest. But he did not want to seem menacing, despite the terrifying appearance, and so he took a knee beside the trio and tried his best to change his voice to a clearer and quieter mumble. ”Big black teddy bear at yer service Mana!” he smiled as nicely as he could, despite the stitches in his lips and the blood red eyes. ”All abord!” the lawyer yeller, hopping onto Grae’s massive paw, hoping that Mana and her… friend would follow.

Why Everett suddenly was acting so weird? Mana wasn't sure if her brain found this weird due to the alcohol, or... well, because it was just plain weird. Little she knew that she was also inhaling the same perfume than the man, even though it wasn't affecting her as quickly because she hadn't been the primary target of the attack.
"Huh, I'm sure that wasn't how Grae looked." She said, after pointing at the tree. In fact... "It looks a lot like Winnie the Poh, though. You know, yellow, small red jacket. I think he's eating honey, even? Might as weel go and say hi."
She shrugged at Rett's other gestures, however. Winnie didn't look like he was trying to hide. In fact, he was coming towards them, big pot of honey under his left arm. Maybe he wanted to share? That was nice. In the end, he ended up sharing just with the man, and leaving right afterwards and leaving him celebrating in the grass.
"Wh-what? Why?" The redhead asked, her voice sounding at the verge of utter desolation, just as her body sunk in the grass. That honey looked delicious. "That's unfair, man."
The Bearmon picked up what was happening rather quickly, but it was kinda too late anyway. Well, maybe too late is an exaggeration, but, yeah.
"Huh? Why do I have to be careful? Life's meaningless now. I didn't get any honey..."
Suzuran, on the other hand, just looked like she was having the time of her life. If she had a mouth, she'd undoubtedly be laughing right now. Right now, she felt hella satisfied with herself. That guy deserved what had happened to him for acting like brat, and now he probably knew that next time, maybe the very same thing could happen if he kept behaving that way. But better to stop having fun for now and focus on the important matters. So she closed the faucet.
"Uh, what?" Mana had to admit that feeling sad over some honey was extremely... stupid. Then again, the whole ordeal felt just weird. Still, she felt a bit dizzy, maybe due to the alcohol. "Please, don't do that again, okay?"
The small digimon just gave a side stare at Rett, as if telling that she had just done it because her patience had been tried. Well, a truce was better than nothing.
Resuming on what they were doing, the girl began to listen to the duo's tales, even though this time Grae was the one that was recounting what had happened. Just as she thought, everything back there had been hella suspicious, but there wasn't anything that she could do about it.
"Returning there?" The girl suddenly parroted, sitting again on the grass and taking a more normal posture. "Would you do that for me? Really? That'd be awesome!"
Rett, on his side, just went and scolded the baby digimon, getting in response a smug look from the Plumulmon. As long as he didn't bother her, she wouldn't bother him. Lest to say, he totally deserved what had happened the first time around.
Just as they said, they did; the Bearmon evolved into WaruMonzaemon, offering his services as the most strange cab ever to them. Nothing else to say, then. Suzuran climbed up to the head of her partner while Mana boarded the Ultimate level's paw. This would be fun.
"Alright. We're good to go, I guess? Lead the way."

It was funny watching the humans get messed up from the baby digimon’s fumes. Of course Graedon was amused, though he also knew how Everett got when there was too much whiskey in his tummy, and that quickly made the bear rather annoyed. He hoped this high of theirs wouldn’t last too long, or else he’d be stuck babysitting not one child, but three. Thankfully though, the trip did not last long and both Everett and Mana came to within minutes.
Phew.
Once the humans began making sense again, they discussed a plan to try and revisit some areas where key events happened in Mana’s life. The first thing Everett suggested was the jungle in the tropics, and Graedon had no issue showing off his big scary ultimate form. Now as a WaruMonzaemon, the giant gently scooped up his group and set them on his shoulder. ”Hold on kids, I ain’t responsible if you bail.” his thunderous voice boomed despite his attempt to hush it. The massive teddy started towards the tropical area of the digital world, breaking trees in the forest below with each step. That was the nature of being such a large digimon, after all. Though with the amount of ground he was covering, it would not take them long to get there.
On the ultimate digimon’s shoulders, Everett made himself comfortable. He sat down against Grae’s neck, stretching his legs out in front of him and leaning himself cozily against the fuzzy wall behind him. Expelling a deep relaxed sigh, he glanced up at Mana and her pipsqueak. ”Get comfy lady and… thing.” he started, not sure how to refer to the digimon as. ”We might be here a while!” As his words left his lips, a realization hit the lawyer. This was so different from what him and Graedon had been up to recently. They were actually helping someone rather than mugging or bullying them. They were being good people, and their primary task right now was aiding Mana. They were friends, but it got him thinking about the nasty things he and Graedon had done not so long ago. Truth be told, they were not just thugs and trouble makers anymore, they were murderers. Graedon had slaughtered two innocent rookies, and just about destroyed a third one had his tamer not grabbed him before the final blow and ran away. The worst part was that they both loved the power trip, and Graedon got stronger and fiercer with each kill. He knew for a fact that they will kill again.
But did Mana ever know this in the past? Did rumors leak from tamer to tamer until they hit her ears? Thankfully she’s forgotten everything now, but what if she remembered, what would she think of them? She would realize that her friends are killers, and then what would happen? But of course, that was assuming that she found out in the first place. Maybe she never did, maybe she would stay oblivious to that fact for a long, long time.
Everett’s face dropped upon this train of thought. He wanted to ask her about it but he knew better. Still, he didn’t want to look concerned or worried, didn’t want to show any signs that anything was wrong. So he did his usual arrogant thing, playing with words and tones so the outcome best suited him. ”Ya know, I kinda liked you better with the long hair. It was sexier, tuts! You should grow it out again eh? Hahaha.” he gave an innocent chuckle to accompany his comment. ”Not that yer a’ bad lookin now, don’t worry.” he smiled cockily, then looked away form her. ”But hey, we’ve got some time to kill, so lets play a game or somethin’. Like uh, the question game… to pass the time y’know? We can ask the craziest things if we want, like for example ‘How would you feel if the forest turned blue tomorrow? And then you answer. Easy enough right?” his tone was entirely friendly and casual, playing cards of legitimacy. ”I’ll start…” Everett tapped his chin in thought, making it look like he was trying to come up with something random. ”Oh, got one! Crazy idea. Whaaaaat would you do iiiiiif you found out that Graedon and I were secretly master criminals, on the run from Terminus law authority? Gun slingin’ outlaws, like ‘em cowboy bandits back in the day!” He laughed. ”God, what a shit storm that would be eh? Haha. Anyway, now you answer, and then you ask me something! Easy, funny game.” He smirked and leaned his head back, waiting for Mana to reply and then return a question. Hopefully, the humor in it and the wild west reference would be good enough. He figured that with the memory loss, them helping her out, and the silly idea of the game, it’d be enough for him to find out the consequences of her discovering their murderous tendencies without risking any flashbacks or suspicions.

Alright. After being scooped by Grae, the small group was now resting on his shoulder. Being a teddy bear, Mana had to admit that it was quite comfortable. And thus, their small journey began.
The girl did her best to get at ease, even though traveling aboard a giant bear could do so much to ease her nerves. The digimon who was currently residing on top of her head regarded everything with mild contempt; she didn't seem to be happy, but wasn't loud about it. Weird.
The redhead nodded to him; this would be a long trip but... was also a favor that these two were doing her selflessly. Were them that close? Or were they that nice? Girl had no idea, but she guessed she'd eventually find out.
Rett's comment brought her back to reality, gazing at him confusedly, then faintly blushing. That comment definitely had taken her by surprise.
"Th-thank you." She had no idea how her hair looked before, but... well, if somebody complimented it, it must've been nice, right? "I guess I can try later..."
A game? That sounded interesting, actually. Asking questions to each other? Almost like truth or dare, but without the dare; would probably be lots of fun. She smiled, waiting for his question, then became a little... confused. What if they were villains? Well, given that she had just gotten to know them, she wouldn't be sure on how to react, but...
"Well, I think that the first thing I'd would to ask you why you decided on that lifestyle rather than something more... normal, I guess? I mean, everyone has reasons to do that kind of stuff."
Scratching her chin a bit... that question actually left her thinking. She'd have to top that one with a more interesting question, after all!
"My turn to ask, then!" She seemed to be pensive for a second, before suddenly asking. "Why do you appreciate me as a friend?"
Mana hoped that answer would make how know more why he seemed to be so hellbent on helping her. As far as she knew, she hadn't done any kind of special favor to him or something of the like, and that made her curious.

Everett studied the girl’s face. He bit his lip a little but quickly dismissed the gesture as he ran his fingers through his hair. He returned to Mana with his usual cocky grin. Truth be told, he was expecting a much harsher response to his question. Even though Mana had lost her memory, it didn’t seem that she lost her character much, and as such he never thought she would be open enough to withhold judgement on criminal. She always struck him as a goodie two shoes type girl, one which would live on virtue and stray far away from any crooks. But it seemed that she was more liberal in that sense, that she’d rather ask a criminal why they chose the path of wrong, and she was even kind enough to try and console them. Still, he refused to admit to her that he and Graedon were murderers. That was perhaps a little steep, a little intense, and certainly out of the blue. He’d do everything in his power to make sure she never found out.
But his little test worked. She had no flashbacks of the subject, meaning she never knew in the first place. That was great news to Everett, and at that realization he allowed himself to relax a little. It was onto her question now. Why did their friendship mean this much to him? ”Err, well..” he began awkwardly, his eyes trailing away from hers. Honestly? He didn’t really know. The only thing that came to mind was the fact that they had been so vicious in the past while, and if anything, they’ve made nothing but enemies. Mana was a breath of fresh air, a break from all the hostility. She was kind and she tolerated their antics and their rudeness. It was… nice. ”Tuts, let’s just say that I don’t make friends easy. People don’t exactly like us much. We uhh..” he chuckled dryly. ”We’re pretty rude, we don’t hold our tongues, and we say it like it is. That’s not what people wanna hear you know? We’re just… ehhh, we’re difficult people.” He pulled out his flask. ”It’s our way or the highway, baby!” he concluded his statement, took a swig from his flask, and then reached over to place the flask in Mana’s lap to offer her another sip. ”So its my turn eh? Alright! Here’s a blunt truth question! Does Graedon scare ya? He’s pretty damn freaky lookin’ if I say so myself. Stitched up lips, blood red eyes; he ain’t exactly a lady’s man haha!” Everett joked. But he knew, truth be told, the sight of Graedon’s evolved forms were shocking and gruesome. ”I’ll admit babe, even I was kinda put off the first time I saw him. His champion form’s even creepier. Gives me the f*ckin heeby-jeebies y’know? Ha!” he smiled crookedly, waiting for Mana’s reply. Would she be honest, even though Grae was actually nice enough to give them a lift across the damn province? He wondered.

Apparently, the girl's answer had unsettled her current companion a bit? He seemed to be a bit nervous right now, even though Mana couldn't quite nail why. She decided to not to dwell on that answer too much, however. Instead, she decided to adopt a more comfortable posture against Grae's fluffy shoulder, all while making sure that she had a stable enough hold on him. Falling down right now wouldn't be pretty.
Her own question seemed to be... complicated. Apparently these two weren't really likable? Well, she could understand why, even though...
"If you ask me, I appreciate some bluntness every now and then." She commented with frankness. "Sometimes when people is being too indirect or roundabout about stuff, I just feel a bit... frustrated, I guess? That's why I appreciate you guys being direct regarding me. It'd have been kinda lame otherwise."
The redhead made a small pause, before adding.
"Also, I think that you two are good guys, if that amounts anything. You've been really kind to me thus far."
And so, it became Rett's turn to ask a question once again, just as she took the man's flask and gave a small sip before returning it. This time, however, Mana found his question to have a way easier answer. In fact, she didn't seem to think about it for too much.
"Why would he scare me? That's kinda silly." She replied, shrugging. "I mean, he might look like a teddy bear straight out some creepy movie right now, but I just have in mind that most of them he's just a normal bear with a funny hat and that seems to love his belts a little too much. Why would I be scared of that? I'd even say that he's pretty cute."
That had been an easy one; now it was her turn. She adopted a pensive expression for a second... thinking a bit about it a bit.
"I'm not really sure about what to ask. Let's see..." She seemed to doubt for a second, until her face seemed to illuminate with an idea. "I got it! Would you go shopping with me in the Human World? I think it'd be funny."
The mere image of them doing normal stuff instead of this would be a nice change of pace for her, given that that was all she knew about since she lost her memory. How it felt to hang out with friends on a normal situation was among one of the many things she wanted to remember.
Sides, she imagined Rett being a lot of fun to hang out with.
