Boy did Mana use an interesting choice of words to describe them! Everett and Graedon referred to as good guys? That was rather backwards, to put it lightly. Though in all fairness, the truth is that she only had this experience to reflect on, and was entirely unaware of any of their wrongdoings. She could admit that they had a certain roughness to them, though there was also a certain charm which came with being blunt. Mana was unmistaken in one aspect; no one liked a kiss-ass. And she was right, meeting people who just couldn’t be straightforward was plain annoying.
It amused the man when he saw Mana take another sip of his sake. She drank like a trooper, and though sake did have a certain sweetness to it, it had a tendency of stinging the tongue. He had to hand it to her, she didn’t flinch or make grossed out remarks. She was a trooper. ”Eyy color me impressed, you down that drink like you’re a seasoned vet. Right on ya!” he laughed. ”Yer a young’un too, gives you that much more bang for yer buck. What are ya, like 16? Too young probably but who cares. Heh.” Clearly, this man was deprived of morals… and he liked it that way. ”But anyway! Your question!” Everett cleared his throat after processing her inquiry. Would he take her shopping back in the human world?
He began to nod. ”Sure, I’ll bring you to all the classiest places! Gucci, Versace, you name it and we can go.” He thought about how it might be odd in the human world, considering that he was no doubt older than she was. Though again, he couldn’t really bring himself to care too much. Besides, truth be told, this game was based on hypothetical scenario, technicalities didn’t matter. However he had to admit that getting away from the digital world in thought for a moment was refreshing, so he decided to continue on that train of thought. ”Okay so. If you could go to the human world for a day and do anything, anything at all! I mean like, flying, going places, teleporting, meeting famous people, eating crazy food, amusement parks; you get the jist. How would you spend the day? After this day you have to live in the digital world forever, so choose carefully.” It was perhaps a question that would require some thought, so Everett decided to give her a minute.
He banged his fist down on Graedon’s shoulder. ”HEY MAN ARE WE THERE YET?” of course the answer was no, but he wanted to keep himself entertained. In this case, by bothering Graedon. ”C’mon fatty, can’t ya go faster?” he laughed. Graedon, trying to be respectful of Mana, chose not to speak, for his voice was thunderously loud. Instead, he growled and shook his neck, knocking the lawyer off balance and causing him to roll down the bear’s chest. Graedon caught him mid-tumble, raised him up to eye level, and began cackling in his face. ”WHAT THE HELL MAN!?! Ohhh you think that was funny, eh wise guy? I’ll show you funny just you friggin wait! You overstuffed little…” he was cut-off mid-sentence when Grae returned him to perch on his shoulder, however he intentionally dropped him a little too high.
The lawyer dropped with a soft thud. ”Ow…” he groaned and moaned, picking himself up. He shook his fist at the bear and grumbled, swearing under his breath. Moments later, the man straightened out his coat and lazily plopped himself back down in his usual spot. ”Ahem, where were we?” he asked as if nothing had ever happened.

Her age, huh? That was an interesting question. What was her age? Mana was taken by surprise at that question, sincerely not knowing how to answer it.
"Well, memory loss, remember?" She said, giving a tiny shrug right afterwards. "It'd be awfully strange if that piece of information remained, but if I were to make a wild guess I'd say... fourteen? Give or take one or two years, that is; probably you are right, who knows."
Now, into her own question, Rett seemed to be a man of taste. That was nice, even though she could only superficially remember all those brands. She could imagine that they probably were some of the most exclusive European designers judging by those names alone, however. Well, she didn't know if she liked expensive clothes, but she guessed that as long as they were pretty it would be fine.
His question, however... was probably the the hardest that had been asked thus far. If she could do anything for one day in the Human World, then go to the Digital, how would she spend that day...
"That's... difficult." Especially since she didn't have many memories of the human world. Just as she thought about it, Rett began to poke Grae about the time of their arrival.
She didn't pay much attention to their shenanigans, at least until... he landed again on the bear's shoulder. Preferring to not to ask what had happened, she just began to answer the question, making sure to get a good hold of the bear, just in case something like what happened to him repeated.
"Sincerely? I'd just spend the day with the people I know I won't see ever again. Probs try to have a good time with them and that kind of cheesy stuff. You know, make sure that all my business back there are finished before going here. Probably not very fun, but at least I know I won't regret doing that."
And it was the truth, above all... now it was her turn again. Once again, she began to think. Now she had a pretty good idea about what to ask, at least.
"If you could accomplish one single thing, anything. What it would do? No matter how unbelievable or impossible it sounds."

'Graedon, in his colossal and rather off-putting form, let out a soft chuckle when the girl spoke. He bypassed his rude tamer and reflected on what she previously said, hung up on het words. So, to her, he was just a little rookie teddy bear who held on to his fashion accessories and had a bit of an attitude? That was alright with him. He grinned widely, despite that no one could see his expression. The massive bear replied as softly as he could albeit quite deeply. ”Mana, or Haley, or whatever you wanna be called nowadays... You're just too kind! You're kind of a silly one with your goody-two-shoes thing going on there.” he chuckled eerily, his laughs slow going, each breath echoing into the next. ”Ohhh girly girly girl... if you only knew. Heh.” The bruin chortled before he trailed off, thinking about the contrast between her sincerity and their crookedness. Everett immediately reacted to the bear's comment, driving the heel of his leather designer shoes into Graedon's shoulder.
The bear didn't even flinch... He did, however, shut up.
Everett stared at the flask as he pinched it's nozzle, wiggling it around in the air only to be greeted with a metallic swishing sound. His eyes narrowed at the realization that it was almost empty. Clearing his throat, he brought his attention back to the girl. ”Glad to hear yer a bit of a realist! I guess that whole follow your heart thing works for ya, huh?” the lawyer smirked. He listened to her inquiry, as to what Rett would do to truly make a difference... or whatever. No, an accomplishment, rather. Shit, what else could he do in life? He made the papers, he'd set criminals free, he'd bribed cops... he'd done the impossible, really.
Everett smiled at the girl, reaching over and placing his hand on her knee. ”Doll, I'd take that question and toss it out if I were you. Honestly, there ain't much that I ain't done! If I want to do something or achieve something, I kinda just do it!” he laughed cockily, finishing the flask off with a final gulp. The man retracted his hand and placed it onto the empty container. He raised a brow as he looked inside the flask, his face contorting as he changed expressions. Something was off with his little drink. ”Ehhh...” he trailed off with a rather displeased tone. ”I'm kinda tired of this weak shit. I have something better.” Seeing as there were now two of them, Rett put the flask back in his breast pocket, bypassing the contraption entirely. Instead, he reached into an inside waist pocket at the bottom of his blazer and pulled out a mickey of Crown Royal Canadian import whiskey. The bottle was almost untouched; a few swigs had been taken here and there, but the mickey remained mostly intact. The man twisted it's cap off and took a good gulp of the bitter liquor, then passed it to the teenage girl in front of him. ”This stuff's way better, trust me.” he winked at her before pressing the bottle into her chest, pressuring her to take another solid drink. This time of something much stronger.
Now it was Everett's turn to pose a question. He looked up at the digitized sky and pondered. ”Hmm...” he thought out loud. ”So uh, Mana, darlin'. Here's one for ya! Let's jog yer memory. Tell me everything, or rather, anything, you know about digimon or the digital world... Anything at all? I mean, you got this little pipsqueak over here." He pointed at the baby digimon's face. "You gotta know something in that tickin' head of yers."

More power.
Some MetalGreymon achieved their power naturally, waiting until they were ready to grow and ascending to a level far beyond their kin. These MetalGreymon kept their presence of mind and found balance between their mechanical parts and physical form, which kept its vibrant orange coloration. They tended to live long, productive lives, and remained happy members of the Digital World's society.
Some sought shortcuts. They augmented themselves with cybernetics and reformatted their bodies, hoping to gain the power they so hungrily desired. They achieved it, but at a cost. Rather than prolonging their natural lifespans they shortened them, their power overloading their unprepared cores. Their skin turned a putrefied purple color, and their minds tended to collapse from the strain they were putting on themselves. From there, what sorts of options did a Greymon have? Some rose to the occasion, strengthening their cores and sharpening their minds to rise up to the great pressure they were pushing on themselves. Some collapsed under the weight of their own hunger, turning into mindless beasts that stalked the countryside.
And some went a step beyond.
It crashed through the treeline, breathing heavily. It needed more. The turbine on its completely mechanized left wing sputtered unevenly, twitching every time it tried to start up. A pair of elongated canines sparked hungrily with electricity. Its right leg, covered in mechanical plates to better support it, occasionally buckled as it ran. A glowing red eye cast a laser sight that sliced through the sky. Perhaps Noxis and Mana would notice the beam, and with it the fact that soon they would have company.
Its footprints went from loud to deafening as it approached, moving with an uneven, crashing limp. A wiry tongue sparked hungrily as it ran across its teeth, eager to see its new prey. Its left claw, enhanced from its prior mechanization, buzzed and vibrated like an unstable razor blade. It needed data. It didn't care where, or who from. Data was power, and power was life. Perhaps this time would even bring another, sorely needed ascension. Haphazardly metal plates haphazardly clashed against each other as it approached its would-be prey.
With all of the noise of its approach, surely it would be no surprise as it burst into view, cleaving a tree in half with a mighty swing of its claw. It raised its head up high and roared skywards, then hunched down to get a good look at what it was dealing with here. Its laser-sighted eye scanned Mana, then her blob, and then that big, fat prize known as Graedon. Oh, that one would be perfect. It roared again, bellowing a challenge from one patchwork monstrosity to another.
Perhaps to Mana, this Chaotic sort of Chimera would look quite familiar.

Sorry for the delay. Phone post, so kinda without format and rather shortish, but figured that I couldn't postpone this anymore. Mana was a bit confused in regards with Grae’s words; what did the bear digimon mean with them? She wasn't sure about them but… she just let the matter slide. Especially since there were other things going on right now… just like her question being thrown back at her rather smugly. The redhead didn't mind that, at all.
“So, you've done everything you wanted and have no goals whatsoever right now? That's a sad life in my books.” She said with a smirk. “A little ambition never hurts.”
Of course, she expected a similarly witty retort to be thrown again but that was fine. What she didn't expect, however, was Rett taking out something that looked like the good stuff. That seemed to be… kinda fun, actually.
When the bottle was offered to her, she took a short, but good sip at it, a burning sensation going through her throat just with it.
“That was… strong.” Even so that get head felt a bit dizzy right now. “But it was also pretty good!”
What she could say; the man had a pretty good taste.
“M-My memory, huh? Lemme think….” She tried to, but couldn't, mostly due to what sounded like a freaking airplane landing near them. “What's that?” She couldn't but ask, even if her question would be answered soon enough.
She didn't know why; she couldn't understand why, but as soon as she saw that thing, her eyes widened in terror, almost as if an old memory resurfaced again. And it wasn't exactly a good one.

Everett revealed his pearly whites in a wide smile, amused by the young girl’s retort to his inquiry. He supposed it was only fair; what he spoke of sounded fairly bleak. He knew, though that his day-to-day with Graedon was anything but mundane. From hiking to thieving to fishing to hurting, their life was full of everyday survival hacks. Whether they stole from the rich or conned the poor, it mattered not to them. Graedon gave an obvious chortle when Mana asked why he’d be scary. ”Hah! Really?” he snidely responded in his raspy voice. Everett shrugged his shoulders at the bear’s attitude. ”Well damn, he’s twisted, warped, and straight outta horror. I mean, imagine waking up in the middle of the night with this thing looming by yer bedside. It ain’t the most pleasant image you could wake up to!” Everett snorted, taking another swig from his flask. ”Heh, anyway, I guess it’s my tur- the lawyer’s words tattered off at the end. His eyes went wide at the sight of a misconfigured monster in the near distance.
Flesh torn to reveal metal, sparks flying from every joint, and a rust filled roar. This is what his senses were greeted by. Everett, realizing he was now feeling tipsy, wobbled atop Graedon’s shoulder trying to make sense of the oncoming colossus. He rapidly coveted his goods, securing the flask tightly in his pocket; priorities. Graedon on the other hand felt his pupils lock onto the monstrosity immediately. His posture changed, hips hinged and legs loaded to spring. His sheathed claws slid from beneath his skin, fists ready to hack at the robotic beast’s throat in an instant. He had already been on high alert prior to the thundering MetalGreymon appearing, and by the booming sound of it, this digimon was desperate. Its steps were unsteady in the distance, a sign that its systems were failing to support it. Its tongue, built from fraying cables, whipped and crackled whenever its heavy jaw was agape. It was clear to Graedon that this creature of wrecked cogs was in need of energy to keep itself from falling apart. It was apparent to him that it saw him as the source of data needed to fuel it’s bleeding parts.
First thing in the bear’s mind was the safety of his partner. There was no way he’d allow any harm to come to him, or even Mana for that matter. Graedon puffed out his chest and huffed deeply, birthing a heart-shaped bubble from the gap in his torso. Immediately, the bubble floated upwards and engulfed the humans and tiny fresh digimon, lifting them into the sky a good distance from the battlefield. They were close enough to view the carnage, but at worst, backlash and explosions would be kept at bay by the elastic bubble. It was anything but easy to pop, for the ultimate’s hearts were designed to act as barriers or shields against powerful oncoming attacks. This rubbery heart would keep them safe.
Red eye to red eye, the mangled mutants stared at each other, one party far more hostile than the other. Graedon felt his sewn lips part, twisting a wicked grin upon them. He started to cackle menacingly at the robotic creature. ”Ohoho, that’s one ugly mug you’ve got there, son! I know I ain’t no looker myself, but yeesh! I feel bad for your momma.” With his tone brimming with arrogance, Graedon relaxed his posture, turning to the humans in the sky. ”You serious right now? I gotta face this rusty piece of trash? You’re kidding me right?” the bear gave the two tamers a quick laugh before turning back to his foe. As he swung himself to face the bionic reptile, a thunderous rasp grew inside his throat. ”You’re going to regret coming here.” The digimon was ready to tear his opponent limb from short-circuiting limb if he so much as inched towards him.
And so the battle of the abhorrent anomalies began.
OOC: Holy hell it's a post! Better a bazillion years late than never amirite? xD Thankies for patience <3 Here. Have some comic sans.
