Suzuran sighed, some relief evident on her features. While she knew that getting far from the human for a prolonged period of time wasn't a good idea, she had just got fed up of being with her after... thirty minutes or so. She needed a breather, and that's why she was now alone... somewhere at Mainframe Hills, of course.
Sighing, the Cormon lamented her current situation, why, why, why. Just why she had to be partnered with a human? Why couldn't she be on her own, just like the last time? This just sounded like a bad joke played by destiny, and the part is that she'd probably have to abide by it, as ridiculous as that sounded. She couldn't remember mostly anything about this world, so the last time she had been alive surely was... a long time ago. And gambling on the roulette once again didn't sound like the most intelligent course of action, especially given that she had now way to ensure her return. So problematic...
And with no solution on sight. That made Suzuran angrier than usual, something that was exacerbated even further by her current powerlessness. Such a long road to go through, yet so little time and patience.
"Ugh." Just a grunt. Expressing her displeasure out loud would be a waste of energy anyway.

Alone? Pfft. That's a heck of an assumption. Eyes are locked on the little Digimon. Three of them, in fact. The creature that said eyes belong to had been clinging to a nearby tree, invisible to the naked eye, looking for 'prey' as he often did. The Cormon might make a tasty meal, but he does like to play with his food first. Buzzing insect wings lift him into the air, carrying him over to land near the other In-Training Digimon as he decloaks and blinks at her. Three bizarrely human purple eyes, four long spider-like le gs made of twisted cables and tipped in tiny clawed feet, and four large purple dragonfly wings. All...attached to a bone. Yup. That's a bone alright. About the size of a human forearm. Odonamon emits a series of sounds almost like an old-fashioned dialtone before lowering itself slightly so that it can see Cormon a little more easily. Curse his lack of versatility in the way of head-movement! "You appear to be alone. Why is this?" His voice...could be more pleasant. A high-pitched screeching almost obscured behind a wall of insectoid buzzing. "Most things travel in groups for safety,"

Well, heck. Apparently Suzuran wasn't alone, after all; so much for a little while on her own, huh? She gazed at her visitor, and couldn't but feel slightly disgusted by his appearance; almost as if he had done a conscious effort to be really ugly.
"And... what you are supposed to be?" There was some curiosity in her expression, almost as if she was regarding a test subject. Fascinating in its own, twisted way. "I am alone because I want to, in all honesty."
Simple questions, simple answers. Not like she found a reason to lie to such a basic being, anyway.
"Why would you believe that traveling in groups is safe, however? That notion is outright dumb. And... you look like you are conscious of that too. I am not seeing anybody with you either."
Was he asking trick questions or something? She didn't like pleasantries or needless games, but she guessed she could bear for some time with the strange digimon.
"I think that a more sensible question would be your reason to be in this place. It is pretty uninteresting, at least in my opinion." She observed the land around her, and concluded on that being the case. "Not much to do, at least if you discard conversing with me."

"Well. It is safer. In theory, at least. Alternatively, a group just makes a much tastier target," It buzzes in amusement, "Yes, I do seem to be alone, don't I? I've found myself with little need for companionship lately. All I require is sustenance and my own steadily increasing strength, as...ridiculous as that might sound. It is in solitude that one discovers their true strength," Its legs twitch around slightly as it studies the creature opposite it, apparently assuming it isn't a threat.
"Ociomon digivolve to..." A purple egg-shaped cocoon of light springs up around it, shattering only moments later to reveal something that might be able to pass for human at a distance. A little over five feet tall and slender with slate gray skin and long shiny black fingernails. It now appears to be 'wearing' dark green cargo pants, black sneakers and a purple-almost-black hoodie with the hood pulled up, casting an unnatural shadow across his face that hides most of his features at all times, even if the light is shining directly on his face! Of the few features that are visible, most noticable are the five glowing purple eye-shapes beneath the hood, two on each side of the face with one in the middle of the other four. When he opens his mouth to talk, triangular shark-like teeth are visible. Edgelordmon? "Idmon,"
It drops onto the floor and stretches out, resting on its hands as it looks down at Suzuran, "It is boring, but there's plenty of practice to be had. Both in hunting one's prey and in combat. I needed a little of both, so I thought I'd come and see what there was out here. Nothing astounding, but at least it's far away from the stench of the human interlopers,"

The thing's reasoning was a little weird, at least to Suzuran. Well, not really; he seemed to be playing around with her, something she couldn't care less about. Whether his words were threats or just him trying to look interesting, the Cormon wasn't really fazed by them. To each his own, she guessed.
She observed with mild interest how the strange digimon evolved from being just ugly to being outright disgusting. A human-like appearance. So much for wanting to be as far as she could from them, huh? Just what she needed right now.
"Human interlopers, huh? May I say that you look awfully like those?" She added, suspicion evident on her voice as she stared with a measure of revulsion to 'Idmon'. "Not much to hunt or to fight in a place like this, however. It is mostly deserted as far as I have seen. You'd probably be better off going to places like the Training Grounds or something like that."
The conversation was somewhat interesting, even though Suzuran could have probably used somebody who didn't look as a cheap imitation of a human to have. In any case, not like she had any kind of choice in the matter.

Idmon looks down at himself for a moment, a shark tooth-filled grin appearing on his face for a few moments. "I do. But not by choice. Believe me, repairing myself is top of my priority list. And no, there isn't much here, but it seemed best to start small rather than trying to fight against Mega level things before I had the strength to go toe-to-toe with them,"
He's just as disgusted by his human appearance as Suzuran is, but he's coming to realize that it has some benefits. Blending in with the humans when he occasionally needs to, no matter how much he hates it. And most Digimon underestimate something that...looks like he does. Still, it isn't really worth it. He'd rather look like an actual Digimon than some sort of diseased half-breed.
"Besides. Even this diseased form has its uses. But tell me, what brings you out this way?"

This digimon was as strange as they came. But at least he seemed to have some intelligent thoughts, something that Suzuran hadn't expected to find, in all honesty. Still, she held a neuter expression on her young face, displaying seriousness not usually present in an In-Training.
"I guess I can sympathize with you." She said, shrugging a bit. "Seems that wanting get out of where we currently are is something that the two of us have in common... Unlike you, however, I have no idea how to that myself. So I guess I'm... thinking?"
While his implications didn't point towards her in the best of ways, it'd be too silly if he carried them out.
"And to bask in my loneliness, as stupid as that sounds. Probably my last moment of respite until I get to face my new life? Not really looking forward to it, but I guess that is just how things are. Nobody is safe from the mockeries of fate, after all."
Maybe she was being too upfront? Probably, but she had always been that way, and even if her life would change radically from this point onwards, she'd still be her own person, no matter what.
