Mitsuko read the note, and couldn't help as her face split into a wide grin. She did something right! Patamon had been slightly injured, but seemed to be mending right now. The jungle machete and torch were greatly appreciated. They would become rather useful. Mitsuko let Patamon rest a little while longer. Eventually, she woke him up, and fed him a quick snack.
Mitsuko showed Patamon the note, and she knew they didn't need to discuss their options. Other people were in danger. They needed her help, even if she was truly terrified. She had to do what she could. Mitsuko lit the torch, with the help of her water proof matches, and carried it in her left hand, and the machete in her right. The light was comforting to have. Slowly Patamon and Mitsuko continued straight towards the guy that was, undoubtedly, in mortal peril.

There were a few thin spider webs in the way, but they would thankfully go down to single swings of Mitsuko's machete. There were occasional holes in the wall full of lurking spiders, but the bright light of Mitsuko's torch startled them away with ease. Gaps in the cave, leading to yawning spiderwebs? Illuminated and left easy to jump. Unless a moment of clumsiness sabotaged her journey, Mitsuko would have all of the tools needed to pass through the tunnels with ease. Pumpkinmon had basically given her the cheat codes for this last half of the dungeon, and it would make it much easier to finally reach that final chamber.
Upon reaching the chamber, Mitsuko would notice it was a lot more domestic looking than Dokugumon's chamber. There were pleasant chandeliers hanging from the roof of the cave, setting pleasant mood lighting. The web was a lot bigger than Dokugumon's, and instead of being suspended across the middle of the room it was aligned at an angle along the cave wall. There also seemed to be furniture on top of it, including a sofa made of webs, a dinner table made of webs, and . . . a web television? A tiny KoDokugumon was flailing inside of a gap in the television, seemingly enacting some sort of puppet show.
Most important of all, though, was a large, bundled-up figure in the shape of a man. It was sitting on the couch, completely bundled up in webs and currently trying to escape. A larger, redder, and distinctly more feminine spider was pacing back and forth in front of the web. She occasionally rubbed her hands together, as if in anticipation or something, before leaning up to adjust one of the chandeliers. She didn't seem to be saying anything, but it was clear whoever she had snared up was in a very unfortunate spot.

Upon reaching the final chamber, Mitsuko surveyed her surroundings. She noted the details ranging from the chandeliers to the bundled-up figure sitting on the couch. She felt her body tense. She had to prevent this man's untimely death! Swallowing her fear she looked at Patamon for strength. His big blue eyes met hers, and they nodded in agreement. They had made it this far, together they could do anything.
Slowly Mitsuko looked around again. She hoped that they could resolve this without (much) violence. But everything she had learned thus far during her adventures didn't support that theory. They had the element of surprise, but how could they use that for their benefit? Mitsuko decided they needed to watch the large woman-spider hybrid, and hopefully find an opening to advantage.

The picture being painted by the Arukenimon was surprisingly non-sinister. In fact, if it wasn't for the giant wad of webbing currently adhered to her couch, it would seem downright domestic. Sometimes she set the table, putting tiny "plates" and "forks" made of stone on both ends of the table. Sometimes she leaned up to adjust "curtains" of webbing, tinier cobwebs that ran across the sides of the cave. Sometimes she adjusted the television's antennae, prompting the KoDokugumon to start changing up its dance moves.
Once the house was properly cleaned up, the Arukenimon scuttled towards her webbed up captive, gently caressing the webbing where a face would have been. She tilted her head curiously, mouth slightly ajar and fangs shimmering in the dim light. Was she going to lean forward and sink her teeth into her captive? The answer was no, simply offering a longing look before continuing to scuttle through her humble abode.
As time passed, however, the webbed up figure started to shake more and more animatedly. While he had no hope of moving his arms or legs, his head seemed to wobble back and forth like Rocky Balboa was punching a speed bag. Occasionally a muffled grunt escaped the pile of silk, but it could barely be discerned under Arukenimon humming a pleasant song to herself. With Mitsuko's presence not even noticed, Arukenimon was clearly in her own little world.
Question being, what the heck kind of world was it? Judging by a squeaked-out Ding! noise and Arukenimon hastily scuttling over to an oven made of webbing, it was clearly a world that involved muffins. Or cookies. Or, more likely, spiders.

Mitsuko and Patamon watched Arukenimon with apprehension, as she scuttled around doing her domestic duties. The way the spider moved, made Mitsuko shudder internally. When Arukenimon approached the helpless figure, Mitsuko and Patamon almost busted into the chamber right then. They had to help whoever was trapped. They all needed to escape and get away. Mitsuko looked around. The cavernous room was dimly lit, so the torch would give away their position. Regretfully, she put the torch out upon the rocks. It had been a source of comfort in this trying time. Once it was cooled, she shoved put the torch into her bag, the best she could. She figured it could possibly come in handy.
Mitsuko and Patamon allowed their eyes to become accustomed to the darkness. Patamon flew beside Mitsuko, as she slowly began her way into the room. Patamon could feel Mitsuko's unease, as if it were a tangible entity. He gave her a reassuring smile, and flew slightly ahead. Mitsuko's hands were shaking, which could be dangerous with a giant bladed weapon in them. She took a deep breath and continued on. The mission of saving the others was more important. She had to do something! Slowly she made her way towards the web couch. Patamon kept a silent vigil, as he hovered near his tamer.

With the Arukenimon's back turned, Mitsuko had picked the perfect time for an advance. The spider woman's merry hums masked the sound of her footsteps, even as the web sagged slightly under Mitsuko's feet. It was much less precarious than Dokugumon's, thankfully, which made it easier to balance on even with one of her hands occupied by a machete. For that reason, her advance towards the webbed-up couch went off without a hitch. Soon the twitching figure, once so distant, was almost within arms reach.
The figure turned to Mitsuko. At first it didn't seem to realize she was even there. However, soon it realized help was on the way. It began squirming at great speeds, letting out muffled noises as it tried to wiggle out of its restraint. Of course, there was far too much webbing for any of the figure's words to actually be heard. That didn't stop it from desperately trying to make its presence known, however, and the longer it went without being cut loose the more it would make these desperate grumbles.
What may have been the figure's salvation could have very well also been Mitsuko's downfall, however. Perhaps in his silent vigil Patamon would notice Arukenimon turning to the group, her head practically rotating 180 degrees as she spotted them. Each eye narrowed with hatred, and she would quickly start scuttling over to Mitsuko. Or, rather, behind Mitsuko. The spider moved at disturbingly fast speeds, and soon she sought to have her bony fingers laid oh-so-gently onto Mitsuko's shoulders. "Oh, dearie," she cooed, looking at the webbed up pile. She didn't even seem to notice Mitsuko, despite currently trying to use her as an arm rest.
Or, at least, that's how it would seem until she tried to tighten her grip. "I knew I'd that homewrecker would come back for you soon~"

She had done it! Mitsuko reached the couch, and the creepy spider-like woman wasn't any wiser! Mitsuko was getting ready to use the machete to free the prisoner, when he started wiggling. "Shh!" Patamon whispered "Be quiet, we're trying to get you out. But it can only be done if..." Patamon's words were cut off by a sharp intake of breath. He would know that sound anywhere. He turned, and saw Mitsuko frozen in terror. The Arukenimon had snuck up on them. As she tightened her grip the Silverette cried out in pain, as the claws dug into her skin.
Patamon's mind raced. They were running out of supplies, and time. Arukenimon was an Ultimate. There was no way he could fight fairly as a rookie, or even a Champion. He had to outsmart this over-sized spider. But first thing was first, he had to separate her from his tamer! "Hey, bug-breath!" Patamon taunted, flying towards the pair "Let her go!" He didn't waste any time, he inflated himself, and cried out "Boom bubble!" An air like bullet shot out of him, towards the Arukenimon's face. Hopefully it would be enough to distract her so that Mitsuko could get free. He flew out of arms reach of the spider-like digimon "Why don't you pick on someone of your own data code!" Patamon taunted glaring at Arukenimon.

That didn't hurt Arukenimon much, but the sudden sound and force sure was irritating! The Arukenimon's grip loosened just enough for Mitsuko to wiggle out of her grip, although a few dark marks would still be left on her neck and shoulders if she chose this choice of action. "Kya! I was never told that wretch would have backup," Arukenimon hissed, swiveling her head to follow the paths Patamon was flying along.
His taunt at least seemed to succeed in getting Arukenimon's attention, although as if to compensate for her focus being split she started scuttling a protectively close distance towards the couch. "Oh, I have no quarrel with you, my dear," she crooned towards the Patamon. "Merely one with a certain little homewrecking wretch. But I'm sure if you wish to make yourself useful, my spawn could use a babysitter. Oh, they're so ravenous to meet you~!"
KoDokugumon seemed to crawl from holes in the walls. While each was smaller than Patamon, there sure were a lot of them! They gathered in a small ring beneath the holy beast's location, then started springing into the air with their tiny forelimbs raised. Each swiped for Patamon, trying to cling to the Rookie and drag him a bit more down to the surface. Each successful landing would get jealous hisses from the KoDokugumon down below. Each failure would lead to the others pointing and laughing at the crumpled heap their brother was left in. How many spiders could Patamon avoid?
As for Arukenimon herself, she simply watched her spawn with a smile before turning back to the couch. Hopefully Mitsuko could make plenty of progress with the distraction Patamon had opened up!

Mitsuko took full advantage of Patamon's opening. She grimaced in pain as the Arukenimon's nails scratched into her neck. The price was worth it, if it got her away from the Spider-human hybrid! The silverette put space between herself and Arukenimon as Patamon dodged the first couple of KoDokugumon "Coulda fooled me! Looks like we have quarrel enough!" Patamon tried to aim another boom bubble but was sidelined by a KoDokugumon. He fell into the web where the others tried to swarm him. Mitsuko screamed in horror. "No... Patamon... NO!" Mitsuko tried to blink back the tears, but the streamed down her face. In a rare moment of rage, she gripped the machete with her right hand as she turned her attention back towards Arukenimon.
"You... vile witch! I don't know what 'home wrecker' you're referring to, but you seriously need your eyes checked! You have hurt innocent people. Disrupted happy lives. This ends now." Mitsuko was getting ready to raise her machete when her digivice reacted with a series of beeps and began to emit a strong golden glow. Mitsuko was stunned for words, as her free hand closed around her digivice. She gave up a silent prayer 'Please God... help us.' She thought as she closed her eyes, tears still streaming down her face. Where Patamon once was buried, a strong golden glow began to form, levitating into the air, above the swarming mass.
"Patamon digivolve to... Angemon!"
The golden light lit the room, small white feathers fell gently as a chorus of bells rang out. Where Patamon had once been, a truly angelic creature floated above the room. His eyes covered by a metal mask, but his face conveyed he was looking right at Arukenimon. "Your crimes against the Human and Digital Worlds are numerous Arukenimon. Your selfishness, and reign of terror stops now." He held out his hand as his Angel Rod digitally materialized within his hand. Its form shifting slightly into bow, as he imbued it with Holy energy. "Your judgement has been decided." With his final words, he pulled back the string of the bow, and the holy energy residing within it, created an arrow. He released the string, setting the arrow upon a course towards the evil digimon.
