Heh...
Well, that was good enough for a spar, right? Letting that attack off in close range, his arms exposed, Iko gave a grin under his helmet at the damage he caused. What happened next, though in expectation, wiped that grin off the wolf's face. "Tch!" He didn't want to push his attack any further, but Flaremon was already heavy on the approach! Instead of fragmenting his armor further, the wolf raised his own arms to block, and kicked back on his feet. Heavy, flaming fists hit over his arms - arms, that Iko lit up with black fire, using Burning Darkness to at least shield himself from the flames - as he stepped back, trying to dart away from the Flaremon! The damage from that short range exchange was visible, though, the physically-stronger Flaremon leaving the wolf's arms bruised and battered! "Damn it, already..."
Luke shared this with a 'tch' of his own. "... Iko's got the same thought, I think. He's starting to pull his punches..."

Flaremon stopped for a moment, realizing that he was starting to get injured. He gave a small sigh and looked over to Iko. "Hey, this has been fun, but I think I'm good to stop for now," he muttered, not wanting to resign but realizing that going any farther could potentially be bad for him.
Marshal also sighed, more thankful than anything that his partner had calmed down. "That was a good fight," he smiled. "Maybe next time you guys can go all out!"

Wounded pride's better than a wounded body, right?
Seeing that Flaremon finally seemed to take the hint, and with a nod, backing off a few additional feet, Iko's body gave off a faint light as he reverted to his champion form. He idly stretched his back, wincing a bit as he felt the damage in his arms. "So... you still think I'm just a smartass?"
"Watch yourself, Iko." Luke shrugged, and just gave a dry chuckle to Marshal's comment. "Eh, maybe... pointless scraps like that aren't really my thing." Fun, sure, but Iko never really liked to pull his punches.
"Still. Little rough, but not bad... though, maybe your partner could use a little help keeping his eyes on the fight..."

Flaremon reverted back to his Rookie form and smirked. "Well, yeah, but you can at least back it up. Color me impressed!" He stretched out his arm to go for a handshake, hoping to at least patch things up with his opponent.
"Anyway," Marshal sighed, "I suppose we should get going. Still a long way to get to Terminus." He started to walk away but Coronamon stopped him by grabbing onto his hoodie.
"I don't think it's wise for us to do any more walking today," the Digimon advised. "Why don't we set up camp for the night?"

"... Yeah, sounds about right." Alright, this Flaremon had a bit of kick, and the Ankomon respected that much: crouching down, Iko returned the handshake with a firm grip, a smirk on his face. "Just got to learn to chill a bit, hothead."
Well, at least that much was settled! Hearing Marshal speak, and the resulting Coronamon's dilemma, Luke gave a shrug. "Well, if you have your own stuff to set up camp with, we can share a fire, at least. Unfortunately its just the one tent between us, here." And no way was that fitting more than just Luke and a rookie squirrel sitting in the corner!
"Yeah, you two should crash. Especially after that fight... you two were barely on your feet thirty minutes ago!"

Marshal reached into his bag and pulled out two sleeping bags. "Thanks! It's been a while since we camped out," he said. "No need for a tent, though, when you've got your own personal space heater. It's more fun to lay underneath the stars, anyway!" He rolled out the sleeping bags and laid them out on the ground.
Coronamon was so tired from the fight with Iko and the rest of the day's activities that he nearly passed out on the spot. He didn't even bother to worm himself inside the sleeping bag!
Marshal just chuckled at his poor, exhausted partner. He was feeling the same way. "We'll just head off to sleep, if it's alright with you," he said. "Thanks again for calming Coronamon down, and for letting us sleep here!" He tucked himself in, the heat from his body and Coronamon's keeping him warm as he drifted off to sleep.

"Hey, its not like we got our name written in the dirt, or anything." With a chuckle, Iko more or less waved off that thanks, and gave a nod towards Luke. "We should probably pack it in ourselves."
Luke shrugged. "Heh... sorry for any trouble caused by this brute." Patting Iko's shoulder (the wolf just scoffing in response), Luke gave a nod. It was a long day, and they could all deal with some shut-eye. "We'll be hitting Terminus for a bit tomorrow. Might see ya on the way there."
For now, though? Glorious sleep.
