Karin looked at the brother's face, and simply surmised that they're probably having their share of unknown thing as well. "...Kay, why don't we start from the start? You don't mind, right, Yuu? I need more rest anyway..." she resumed rubbing Jeanne's egg as she said that. "Alright, so... Isaac and Elliot, I assume that you two are either Xros General or Spirit User... but generally even Xros General would put out their Digimon, so you must be Spirit User. I don't know how much you know, so I'll just start with what I know from hearsays and whatnots."
Karin took a deep breath and drink some water. It's such a welcoming sensation on her perched throat.
"Spirit users are human that chosen by spirit totems... the totems tends to be a lingering will of a Digimon that can never become a Digitama. Instead, they split into Beast and Human form... or at times, both totems are totally different digimon and help you for their own agenda. Spirit user spirits cannot be seen by anyone, but themselves.... so that's why many Spirit users thought that at first they're schizophrenic. But if you doesn't get any of that then good for you. Spirit users spirits tends to be benevolent, but there are also one who is crazy as fuck. Why I said the last part? That's because I happened to know someone who killed a person in real world because of their spirit going berserk. I was there."
She then ate a sandwich and continued with her story.
"...Now, partnered human are what you call us... and no, Yuu, please don't say we're TAMERS. I honestly hates that term to the core. What sort of people are Tamers anyway? What is there to tame from Kyo or Jeanne? They're their own individual. Anyway... Contrary to Spirit Users, our Digimon are Digimon in truest sense, bonded to us as eternal partners with mutual benefit relationship... generally. I never seen anyone who have very vitriolic relationship with their partner, but anyway... As our bond deepened, the Digimon power increased... then when you get to one point, you could... fuse with them, almost like Spirit User. That's called Biomerging. You have seen my form back then, that's biomerging result. In that state, both Digimon and human is literally one and the same unless addressed differently." She turned to Yuu finally. "...I don't know what happened to them. It was night battle when I was there. I was chased by two high leveled Digimon and got defeated here... at time like this, I only can believe that they'll be fine. However, that place is probably... sealed tight... Also, from your words, does this mean that Ryou is alright? That idiot, he really need some spanking for making us worry about him."
...Now she turned to the brothers. "Lessee... 'why', I wonder? They start spouting things like Digital World belongs to Digimon, and Digimon should be the one who holds the rein of Digital World. They believed that human is too meddling with Digital World's business. That's why they need to eliminate us... at least, us that got too strong. Now, on the other hand... what can be done about it? I have no idea... but I need to get back very soon."
Jeanne's egg suddenly cracked.
"...Ah, looks like it's just a short nap afterall. Kyo, looks like it'll be close."

Yuu just took a seat on the soft grass and listened attentively to Karin's speech about... miscellaneous topics, even though her brows furrowed at her making a small scene about a term that she seldom used, if... at all, in all honesty? To be honest, the blonde didn't remember if she had ever said the word "Tamer" outside the realm of her very own thoughts and for convenience's sake.
Guess that some good natured jokes were on their way, at the very least.
["I think that nap muddled your memory, girl. That, or you suddenly mind political correctness a bit too much? In any case, if you'd be so kind as to jog my memory on the last time I, like you said, said the word tamer, I'd be grateful. Because I can't seem to remember. But I digress; just ignore me."]
She frankly didn't know where her friend had gotten those ideas, but maybe the nap was just too confusing for her and she had gotten slightly delirious. Anyhow, now that that was taken care of... it seemed that they had gotten wrecked. Like, not your normal, every day wrecked, but utterly destroyed by these arbiter guys. Those couldn't be good news, even if probably she was taking them more seriously than she needed to.
After all, the only thing she had to do was to get friends back and everything would be fine and dandy until they cared about that place again.
["Yeah, my muscleheaded cousin is doing just fine. He's being as obnoxious as always, but that hardly any news. You'll be able to smack him really soon if you want to; he's probably doing Ryouta things right now."]
It was... a strange conversation, of sure. Lest to say, the most excited being undoubtedly was Kyo, who grew almost ecstatic as soon as Jeanne's egg began to shake and crack.
"She's hatching! She really is! Yaaaaay~!"
She peered closer and closer, making sure to be one of the first beings to welcome her back.

The bros found themselves zoning out somewhat through Karin's explanation. It wasn't anything personal, but it for the most part covered ground that they had already lived through countless times. Spirits, partners, it was all the sort of thing they had seen since setting foot in Japan for the first time. Had it really been several months since they landed? In some ways it felt far shorter, and in some it felt far longer, but they almost couldn't believe how familiar they were with their new world and new home at this point. Regardless, about the only thing that stood out as something that they weren't already accustomed to was biomerging. Elliot wondered if this was similar to how he and Isaac were capable of merging, their minds sort of intertwining as they fought as one. Isaac wondered if this meant Kuu could hop into Maia's mind. Oh god, no.
The two had a feeling there'd be a group like Karin described around. When humans freely dipped in and out of the Digital World, it seemed awfully unfair that DATS came down heavily on every Digimon that appeared. Then again, humans also weren't capable of causing mass havoc on the scale Digimon could just by physically entering the world. If your average Digimon was about as threatening as a pro athlete rather than a small nation's entire arms program, the reception might've been a bit warmer. Still, those were philosophy questions for another time. The reality was that it seemed like a very angry group was present, and they seemed far too strong for the bros to do anything about it.
And with that it seemed the two went back to talking among themselves as they witnessed Karin's egg hatching. With nothing to really say or do, they just kind of stood around awkwardly. It was like they showed up to a total stranger's baby shower.

"Sounds like biomerging is the first thing that you got interested on?" Karin asked the brothers. She still felt like her body is heavy, so she decided against standing up. "In biomerged state, experience of both human and Digimon is united into one... so the better one can fight, the better the outcome will be. In that kind of state, it's similar to Spirit User, isn't it? At times having two consciousness means you can watch out better, but you need to synch yourself first. It's essentially the same with Jogressing, I guess."
She stretched her legs, but only scowled at Yuu's smack talk. "Shut up, asshole, my memory isn't muddled or somehow I get into political correctness," Karin said, weakly aiming a slap to Yuu's head. "and of course you can't say it, you're mute. Why don't you use your phone again to talk? I think it'll be easier for the brothers to hear, otherwise they would feel really uncomfortable with us just talking among ourselves."
Still, the mention about Ryouta made her grin. "...Do you still somehow have the iron boots that I borrowed to Koharu? The iron padded one..."
...not sure Ryouta could even survive that one.
The egg cracked more and more, revealing a Digimon inside... not really. A pair of unamused eyes stared back at Kyo... momentarily, only to break into soft, caring one.
"Good morning," Jeanne's usual voice came out. "Looks like I've made you worried."
She came out of her shell and landed on the grassy ground.
"How are you feeling, Jeanne?" Karin asked.
"Could be much better, but I'm not complaining. Mistress, could you check the Digivice if my evolution is available?"
Karin does so, but it's only up to child... and to her surprise...
"...Well, well... Kyo-chan, I think you'll be happy with this..."
Karin evolved Jeanne at once. Once the cocoon of light gone, what came out is... a Plotmon X, like a colorswap of Kyo.
"...My, this is interesting," Jeanne muttered. "So I'm a Holy Dog now."
Looking at the brothers who looks like they've lost in this situation, Karin pat their head weakly. "There there, boys, don't look so confused. I still need your story. So tell me, what about you?You two doesn't looks like very veteran human, nor you looks like newbies. Plus, I still need your help too, you know? Jeanne is not Pawn Chessmon anymore, so that means I will need two people to support me. We need to get out from here afterall."

Karin's explanation had definitely a bit... long, if anything. Maybe the tiredness and being near-dead for a who knew how much time had affected her ability to jump straight to the point. That could prove to be... troublesome, at least until she went back to being her old self, she guessed?
That and... those two strange requests. The first was a certain pair of metal-plated boots that couldn't mean anything good, not even for a wannabe shonen protagonist. And the other... bringing out her cellphone. Hah, as if. She wrote something quickly, handed down the note towards the floor neat her in big enough letters for everybody to read, even at a fair distance.
I don't have a cellphone with my right now, Karin. Stopped using them... long ago, to be honest.
Kyo's eyes widened with surprise and happiness as soon as Jeanne went outta her egg and evolved to pretty much a mirror image of her. Well, except that she was white instead of black, but that was a minor detail!
She pounced on top of her, glomping her "sister" immediately.
"You're here again!" she said, hugging her even more tightly. "Like, for reals!"
She felt extremely happy right now. They could finally meet together again!
Yuu also watched expectantly. at what would probably be the brother's part of the tale. Meeting new people like this was strange, for sure. But... getting to know them a little better would be nice.

In other words, yes, it was exactly what they were used to. Although the merging of the minds part was definitely a downer for Isaac, who really was not looking forward to seeing what a Maia-Kuu fusion would be like. Then again, Maia probably didn't want him merged with his brother all the time, either. It was one of the many reasons why the bros saved those forms for only truly dangerous moments. The primary other being that it gave them wicked headaches when they fused for too long, including a general difficulty in picking which brother got to be the "I" among the pair, if any. It was so much more trouble than it was worth, but what else could they do when they needed that little burst of extra power?
As much as they hated to admit it, Karin was right. They couldn't help but feel left out thanks to their genuine inability to understand what was going on. The other girl seemed like she was trying to alleviate it by writing down what she had to say now, but that didn't seem like it'd be the most feasible long-term solution. It must've taken a lot more effort than just saying or signing it, especially considering the paper needed and the big size she would have to be writing in for everyone to see at once. Nevertheless, neither felt the urge to say something, even if the slightly guilty look on Elliot's face as Karin brought the subject up betrayed his thoughts on the matter.
Fortunately, there was a new topic now, and one they had a lot more of an idea on. "Oh, we're definitely not newbies," Isaac said. "Unless, of course, newbies could do this." Isaac held his Digivice high, tongues of dark fire in the shape of dragons wrapping around his body. When the cocoon finished enveloping the boy it stretched outwards, tongues of flame forming long arms, tattered wings, and a thrashing tail. The dark light changed into solid form shortly after, leaving a Devidramon in Isaac's place.
Elliot rolled his eyes. He was really starting to take any excuse he could get to turn into that form. "We've been here for a few months now," Elliot explained, a bit more properly. "Starting with when we first moved to Japan. Well, we thought it was a vacation at first, but our mom told us the truth later. Anyway, we fell into the Shibuya River and ended up getting really lost in the Network Plains. That was where we found our spirits for the first time, too. We've been poking in and out ever since, finding our spirits and doing whatever we can to help people. Its tiring sometimes, but its always nice being able to make a difference."

"Use my phone," Karin was about to say as she pulled her phone, but... of course, to no surprise, it's in worse condition than she is. Screen cracked, water damage, and honestly far more damage that one can count. She tossed it away while sighing heavily.
"...I can guess why exactly you doesn't use phone anymore, but I guess that's not a thing to be discussed in public."
She turned to the brothers who said that they're definitely not newbies. Well, that was really reassuring. One even evolved to Devidramon, quite impressive if she have to say. However, is this beast or is this human? She dared to ask. "...By the way, is it your Beast Spirit or your Human Spirit? And does it talk to you? Lot of spirit users that I know suffers from Spirit User afflicted Schizophrenia, so I wonder too..."
Karin sent a glance to Yuu, not quite remembering if she have told her about the incident with that Charles Ashmore or not.
"I think I ever heard that someone entered Digital World from that trash dump.. My condolences. Honestly, why are you there anyway? There are not lot of thing there. Last time I heard it's just some dumps and I seriously hope that you're not thinking this is some fantasy where you lives in while you're in coma in the real situation. That's really bad for your health, so please don't."
Jeanne meanwhile still playing with Kyo, probably far more childish than Karin ever saw her as. Probably this is the sort of scene that she wanted to be in since long. Oh well, let the dogs plays and just talk for now.

I apologize profusely for the delay.
The explanations were already underway, and even though Yuu didn't feel all that comfortable with them, she just listened to them in silence, not really feeling the need to add anything else to them. Even after being submerged fo so much time, she had to admit that the blonde was still decent at giving explanations. Just as Jeanne and Kyo kept on with her games, the teenager observed how at least one of the two brothers seemed to be fairly cocky about their experiences in here. So much as to... show one of the forms he could evolve to. Huh, that was interesting. A first timer, in fact; first time the Yuu had seen somebody show off in such a casual way, now that she thought about it. His brother, however, seemed to be way more proper about that, however. Three months was a fair amount of time, at least according to her own metric. These guys seemed to be progressing at a reasonable pace too, at least if that Devidramon was the highest stage they could attain. Leaving the conversation to her recently awoken friend, she just munched on some of her sandwiches as she watched how her partner played with Jeanne. She seemed to be so happy that... it brought a smile to her face; this reunion was probably one of the things Kyo had been looking forward too, and that finally happening felt nice.

Isaac looked at his very beastly beast spirit, his beady, bestial eyes scanning over his long, bestial claws and thick, bestial arms. He turned to Karin, a deadpan look on his face. "Beast spirit, I think, but I'm not quite sure," he said, voice as dry as a biscuit. However, her second question was a lot more interesting. "Can't say it's ever talked to me. Or influenced me. Or, really, did anything of the sort. Same to my bro. If anything, us fusing together for tough fights has way more mental pushing and shoving than our spirits do," he said. "Overall ours are pretty inert. Why? Isn't that the case with most of them? 'Cause I'll be honest, we've never really had anyone around to tell us things, so Elliot and I have just been guessing our way through all of this." Spirits were long gone, weren't they? Ones like Alicia's seemed like outliers more than anything.
Not that the topic was on spirits for long. Now it was on trash! "Well, Isaac decided to play that prank on me," Elliot started. "You know, the one where tourists are told to go check out a beautiful river? Yeah, I fell for that bigtime. It was almost as bad as that summer we spent in New York! Anyway, we get there, and there's this weird kid. Then that weird kid's surrounded by all these bullies who try to beat him up. Isaac and I tried to tell them off, but they threw me right in the river. And that's how I got to the Digital World.
Oh, and don't worry. I didn't think it was a dream. Landing hurt way too much for it to be a dream," Elliot clarified. "But it sure got dreamy at some points, eh Isaac?" Elliot grinned, lightly elbowing Isaac, who refused to give comment. No, they weren't going to tell the freaking trash story! Jeez!
"We've been keeping fairly careful since. Trying to help others whenever possible, but not jumping right into danger. Its been challenging, but I think so far its been pretty rewarding," Isaac concluded, providing one last distraction in the face of the trash story.

"...Mmmm, apparently it's been a different era," she muttered. "Because last time, anything remotely looking like it stands on two feet can be treated as human spirit. That's why my question if it's human or beast spirit. Anyway, it's never influencing you? Not even subconsciously if you felt something strong like intense hatred?" she asked. If all yes, she merely nodded and muttered 'good for you'.
"Well, you think that's how it is, but I think the more common one is they talk to you. At least how it was back when I was still active. Either telepathically or verbally. Nooot sure about the fomer, but I've heard number of them doing the latter. Probably because they can yet master the telepathy. That's why, Spirit User Schizophrenia, at least that's what one among us says. Well, it's ain't as bad as when your Digimental calls an alternate version of you, and when you failed the trial... it will haunt your head and start talking about action you should undertake. Well, I guess it's just minority when it comes to Digimental. Probably mine is just something odd."
She looked at Elliott who start talking about how their adventure started. "...First, mind telling me who's the kid is and second...sooomething seem happened on that dreamy part," she commented, smiling mischievously. DId she start acting a bit out of character? But that doesn't matter. "...Ahem, anyway, I'm ready to get out of here, honestly. Got any questions for me, boys? What about you, Yuu?"

Phone post. Sooooooorry! Yuu had followed the question just as she was supposed to. Not really butting in, but more because she didn't feel the need to; Karin was holding her ground well, and she hadn't been addressed directly, sooo...
In all honesty, she wasn't interested in spirit users on the slightest. At least, not in any fashion that set them apart from any other kind of digidestined. Sure, they had the edge of becoming digimons, but that was something that anybody with a D-3 or D-Arc could do, even if that needed a lot more of experience and the resulting consciousness was shared. Still, she was probably digressing.
Histories about the Digital World or how everyone arrived were also a kind of strange topic for her, not because hers had been any special, even though it was, but more because it felt strangely... anachronic. It wasn't something she could really nail but... she preferred to just not partake into it.
For that reason, when Karin offered for them to leave, she just nodded.
["Ready to go? Very well. Just say the word and we'll head towards... Terminus, I guess. Not sure where you want to go right now, but I can make some educated guesses about it."]
