"Elementary, my dear Squire." Takara happily takes the time to explain the madness that went through his mind. "See, all three passageways had traps. All three, flames, triggered by what I must presume are motion sensors. However, the slight delay caused by the need for recognition and ignition, means that by proceeding directly through the trap, you will come through unharmed. What is more, all three being trapped, allows us to find the true route- Had it only been one, we may have been stuck."
"You see, when I tasted the dust, it was not because it tastes good. Far from it. In fact, it tasted rather like charcoal. Which is the entire point- The taste of the floor in front of one of the traps was much more distinct than the others- That trap had been triggered more often. Not recently, of course, but so little changes down here- It is not surprising that it remained. In any case, this makes the correct path quite obvious- After all, the only reason for one path to be favored beyond the others, would be if someone were to pass through who knew the right way to go." He placed emphasis on the last part of his statement.
"Which would lead me to my next conclusion- Either there is no other way through the flames but to walk straight through as we did, or there exists a map of this labyrinth which does not label the traps- In which case, it may be that we find the map deep inside the cave, clutched in the grip of a treasure hunter less fortunate than we."
Hagurumon is shocked. Takara Kureha, actually saying something reasonable? Hell must be frozen over!
As the group continues, Takara keeps a sharp eye out for traps. Reaching a ramping hallway, Takara puts on a wide grin. This one is way too obvious. "This has got to be one of those, right? That classic trap! The "Rock rolls down the corridor!" trap! I've always wanted to see one of these in real life! All things considered, I would say that the trigger mechanism is around... Here!" Takara moves his hand across the floor at the adventurer's feet. At his last word, he sharply presses down- As predicted, triggering the trap. Behind the two, a massive boulder falls from the ceiling, and begins to roll towards them.
Takara whoops in excitement as he grabs Hagurumon and sprints down the ramp. I somehow doubt that Squire will be so amused.
