Well, it was obvious that the answers would bring even more questions; Halley was new, and the mention of any foreign concept would probably be enough to incite the spark of curiosity on her.
Lest to say, Kyo didn't seem to mind using those as freely as she could, or at least she didn't look like she was deterred by Halley's confused expressions.
"Yup, evolving! Right now, I can look like a small and adorable puppy, but in an instant, I can become something pretty powerful, like a nun with a funny cat hat! That can deal with most of the stuff we'll ever find in here, but if necessary, I can even go further!"
So, her biggest worry was the power struggle, huh? Well, the Plotmon had to admit that that was a legit worry. Luckily, the solution to it had been pretty simple, at least Digital World-wise. It was as simple as...
"Well, there's one thing about it, though! Digimons interested in upholding the order and in the status quo remaining as it is are way more than the ones that wanna go full batcrap crazy! And you know, even if you're pretty powerful, that doesn't mean that you're invincible, or that this world hasn't adapted to that! Just as it can be destroyer, the Digital World can reconstruct, even from the most grievous of wounds. So, pointless destruction can accomplish so much if you don't have a deeper meaning to it, I guess. Otherwise... it's kinda pointless, in my opinion. Not to say that most of the wannabe villains don't get too high on the power scale; if they are open about their tendencies, they just get deleted before they can accumulate that much power."
She shrugged nonchalantly at her statement; who'd go stupid evil in this time and age? That was something that maybe could've been seen in the early days of this world, but now... those villains didn't really last much at all.
"You can't think whatever about me, really. Truth is that fighting is pretty much a digimon's second nature, and take into account that not all of them are civilized, you can expect some deletions to have here and there, but don't worry! Unlike humans, digimons form part of an endless cycle of death and rebirth, so they eventually just come back as if nothing had happened!"
Yuu wasn't sure on what to think about her partner's explanations, but just observed with curiosity how she explained those things to Halley. She seemed to be pretty excited about helping out, so that was a nice change from the usual pace. So... she just let her continue. Not like she had much choice, in all honesty.
"Partner? Oh right! He, she, it or them should appear quite soon, at least if he, she, it or them has plans about meeting you! Digimon partners can be shy, too cool or edgy at times, so just give them some time. The important part is that you learn how to get along! Partnerships are like friendships, but that last forever and that you're kinda forced into, so try your best!"

Halley almost would have questioned the logic of this cute lil' puppy thing turning into a nun, but she was pretty much at this point just going to assume that logic was pointless in the grand scheme of things. Earth logic just did not seem to have much to relate to the Digital World.
When it came to though the Digital World in constant peril, guess it just sort of balanced itself out in the long run. The fact that no Digimon really ever died for good was at least good to hear. Guess it made Kyo's skill of "shooting people dead" actually not as bad or sociopathic as it sounded. "Oh! That's a relief I suppose. So you can just sort of knock them back down to ground level before they can cause any serious trouble! That at least softens I suppose the whole killing part on once's conscience huh?" She would comment, though it did make her realize that for humans like her; they were extra vulnerable here. "I guess though that does mean that us humans are kinda weak and squishy huh? Once we kick the bucket, that's just kinda it huh? Game over. Makes sense why we would partner up with a Digimon."
Halley honestly was at this point she felt acclimated to the weirdness of this world. World full of fantastical sentient Digital Monsters... Fine, this is fine. Ironically, the hardest pill to swallow was not the fear of death (which did not come across her mind at the time) but the fear that she would be inadequate for her future partner. She had know idea who they were, what they were like... and from what it sounds like, they didn't really have much choice but to stick together. Halley always did believe herself to be a bit of a social butterfly, but that was with HUMANS. Would that even help her out here? "Will... will we get along though? I mean, I enjoy making friends with folks; and I'm sure that maybe Digimon wouldn't be much different. But still, you did mention that its something we are kinda forced into. How will I even know whose "the one" who is going to be my partner?" She would ask, the first bit of actual doubt showing up on the girl's face. "You know... what about you two? A year is kind of a long time to be together, don't you feel? How did you two meet? Just, if it can help give me an idea of how this whole deal would work; it'd be worth hearing."

Halley seemed to be a really smart human! She seemed to at least get the gist of what Kyo tried to say. That was good!
"Yup! That's why being evil isn't that smart either! If you do something bad, you'll have to deal with that for all your lifetimes! When each good and bad action you do is greatly magnified because you'll have to live with them for multiple lives, you think twice before trying to do funny stuff, I think!" She nodded at her second comment right away, however! "Yup! Humans have a really rough time in here; once they kick the bucket, they're done for good! So, most digimon partners, or nice digimons, for that matter don't think twice before risking their lives to same a human. Others find it morbidly fun to kill them, but that's just sick, in my opinion."
Her tone had grown increasingly serious when saying that, to the point of dripping with disgust at the last sentence, but that was rather right. She had known digimons who liked to kill humans just because they found it "thrilling", and couldn't but feel sickened about it.
On the topic that mattered, however, she adopted a thoughtful expression, going back a bit on her former demeanor. Probably that was for the best.
"You'll probably be good friends! Digimon seldom have bad relationships with their human partners, even though there can be some friction here and there, but... which relationship that's more or less forced doesn't have it? I think that it's pretty easy for one to grow on the other, however, and the benefits of getting along well are many, so it's a win-win!"
She seemed to be enthusiastic about it, but it was true. The bond between a digimon and a human was what unlocked evolutions and that stuff, so it was pretty important.
How they met was kind of a strange topic, but still... Kyo smiled at it. Yuu's gaze settled on her, just to make sure that she was okay as she spoke. Seemed to be that way, so she let her continue.
"Oh, how we met? That's an interesting one! Yuu ended up falling in the Digital World with a bunch of other people, who casually met their partners all at once! Twas pretty fun! We got to know each other a bit, then we went to the nearby woods and... I ended up dying there." It was a pretty abrupt ending, even though Kyo didn't seem to be fazed about it. "It was rather soon for that to happen, but that's just how life is. Luckily, everyone else got away alive, so I guess that it wasn't for naught? We learned a lot about that experience, too."

Somehow, Halley almost was not surprised at the possibility of human-murdering Digimon. She imagined that from their perspective, humans were kinda like ants. Like humans who kick anthills for fun, it was probably not too different for said Digimon; at least to them. Guess it didn't really matter if you were human or Digimon, you could be a total sociopath. "I guess if I were too a murderous killing machine who didn't need to fear dying for good, I could see thinking of us humans as lesser beings and squishing us for fun could get a laugh or two out of some Digimon. It's still a fucked up way of thinking though." The girl would ramble slightly, imagining just how many humans that were killed here. Imagine those people's families.. never hearing of their loved ones ever again. Such a chilling thought, and she was damned sure that many of these killers have gotten away with it. Was death even enough to dissuade this type of thing? God, she hated these kind of thoughts; but they were so pervasive on her mind. "Can you Digimon even tell whose had a past life or not? Would suck to not know whose been bad or not since you guys have the potential to have more than one life."
So befriending her future partner perhaps wasn't going to be as hard as she thought. Was it just fate at work uniting human and Digimon? Or just dumb luck? Hell if she knew, though it at least gave her a bit more confidence towards her possible new friend. "So... just go with gut insincts then? I am a bit glad to hear there might be something more to it than just randomly wandering around and run into some mon I suppose." The red-head would ramble, smiling with some re-newed hope towards the future. "I hope though we'll be good friends. I don't see why being from different worlds could change that!"
Kyo's brief talk about how she and Yuu met up while was short, Halley was nonetheless interested in it. Maybe it just wasn't really that grand an introduction? Than again, dying once and fairly early after meeting eachother was perhaps a bit troubling; though they both seemed to be fine now. Guess like Kyo said, the partner Digimon dying probably is not as big of a deal as the human dying. "Y-yeesh... so you've died before Kyo? God, that's kinda brutal. At least I suppose its not all that bad since you guys still have managed to stick by eachother for so long." She would say with mild sadness, though she was quick to perk back up with a smile on her face. It was honestly pretty heartwarming just knowing these two have stuck around for so long. Not even one of them dying was going to tear that bond huh?
All of this talk has been of great use to Halley, she being thankful that of all the people to stumble upon her, it was these two. She took a deep breath, sighing in mild relief from this fact. "You know, thank you guys so much for helping me out here. If you two didn't find me, who knows what would have happened? I probably would have been sitting here for hours or probably get murdered or something... Not meaning to be a mood-killer, but it probs is kinda true." She would tell the other lone human and the dog-like Digimon. Honestly, the only real question she had left was just how to get around this world, plus get home. Frankly, she couldn't leave her dad around alone for too long. Guy needed SOMEONE to keep an eye out for him after all. "So... how do we get out of here anyway? Like not just from this Dark Area place, but I guess also the Digital World. Is it easy for someone without a partner and who is like a total newbie here?"

Halley's question was a funny one. Could they? I wasn't as easy as it seemed, but it definitely was doable. In the end, she just nodded.
"Well... sometimes, you can just perceive when somebody has experience. Sometimes, they retain their memories. On others, they're as subtle as they come; not an exact science, but it's far from impossible. You just need a keen eye, I guess?"
But that wasn't the focus of their conversation right now. It had moved to... less pleasant topics. Kyo just shrugged and nodded.
"Yup. Being deleted as a kid isn't the most pleasant feeling, but at least I can say that at least it was for a purpose? I can't say it was the best of starts, but... I guess it helped out to build our character? We became more aware of how things truly are on the Digital World, and that it wasn't the playground that it seemed at first. It was like... maturing, I guess? It could have happened in a less traumatic way, but overall, it wasn't the worst possible outcome."
They had probably talked too much about that, however.
"You don't have to thank us! It was a pleasure to help." Yuu nodded with a smile at those words. It wasn't such a big deal for them. "And, well, if you want to exit this place, you gotta go to Terminus City; there you can take a Train to the Human World; it's pretty easy after that. If you want to, we can bring you to Terminus! It's kind of a long trip from this place, but maybe we can be there in two hours or so."

Guess figuring out whose had past lives or not was just sort of something you had to train yourself to do. She imagined that it was still a pain in the ass, but hey; not everyone can be perfect at everything after all. "Well, I least hope that some Digimon might at least try to redeem themselves. There's never I feel a point where you aren't redeemable in some way." She would muse slightly. If you had a chance to do everything over, why would you not take it? She almost kinda envied Digimons' ability to be reborn.
It is a lil' bit sad to think about that at one point Kyo died, though she supposed that if it weren't for that; these two wouldn't be the people they are today. Everything in life had a purpose in a way, even if some of them is just life teaching the school of hard knocks to people. Sometimes shit wasn't fair, you just had to learn to struggle past it. "Death building character. Not gonna lie, first I've heard of that one." She would at least chime in, trying to lighten the mood some. Better they probably moved on to a different subject.
"Two hours huh? Eh, that's not that bad I guess. I remember one time having to walk all the way from our house to school one time back when I lived in Sweden. That was like... 4 hours or something? In like, fucking blizzard weather. Was really crappy, but I did it somehow. I mean, how bad could it be just walking through digital hell; am I right?" The red-head spoke, somewhat relieved it was only two hours away from this Terminus City place Kyo talked about. Not sure how a train could get her back home, but better to just ignore common logic flaws here she supposed. Don't fight back the weirdness, embrace it. "Sorry! Getting off topic huh? I guess mind if you two can lead the way?"

Halley's anecdote over walking through snow to reach school made Yuu reminisce of her times y her hometown, and even brought a small smile to her face. She didn't remember a snowstorm bad enough for her to spend full four hours walking, probably because she' have been forced to either remain at school or at home if such thing ever happened, but... just as she said, that was a bit of off-topic.
Sweden, huh? That sounds like an interesting country. I'd love to visit someday, if you're ok with that. Regarding the weather in here, I'm sure you'll get used to it; the place I'd call my favorite is the southern area, but you have all kinds of places to pick up.
Well, time to get back. Yuu nodded to Kyo just as the digivice on her pocket began to shine. Purple tendrils of light covered the Plotmon's body, blurring her visage completely and changing her until the small dog became... a really big dog with a funny scarf and boxing gloves. She crouched a bit in order to make the trip towards her back easier.
"Get on and make sure to hold on tightly!" She was pretty fast, after all.
