Once again, Whitewater. Today, however, it seemed that the day would be uneventful for sure. It was already pretty deep on the evening, and even the sun was beginning to set while Yuu and Kyo were relaxing on the beach, basking into the last moments of sunlight.
These days had been as hectic as they could; managing PROFIT became more and more complicated as more people began to join; what had began as something as small and just Ryouta, her and their digimon partners had suddenly evolved into something that encompassed... more than twice the beings, for sure.
Still, she was glad that both Kyo and her could get through these seemingly undisturbed moments, laying in perfect tranquility in a pair of deckchairs. While Kyo was just napping face up, she was staring at the sea through the dark tint of her sunglasses, her head neatly covered with a summer hat as her body was mostly exposed to the sun's rays due to a pretty simple two-piece swimsuit. Nothing special, given the somewhat sudden nature of this relaxed sessions. But... it still felt nice.
"Hey, Yuu-nee." Apparently, Kyo wasn't napping, or just had woken up. Her voice sounded a bit groggy. "What do you think about this? I know you began it with Haru and the others as mostly a game, but it's beginning to become... rather serious. Will you be okay running this? I know that in essence, Haru's the leader, but on practical term's you're carrying most of the responsibility. Not to say that our free days are growing thinner with each new project we attempt. Is that fine?"
Well, this was definitely something new. Kyo, worrying? Definitely something the blonde didn't see every day. And that... probably meant that she was truly worried. Still, she just waved her hands dismissively, a cocky grin plastered on her face.
["If I'm not able to do it, nobody will be able to for sure. Do you think that I've began this just to give up midway? Of course I didn't. I contemplated this endeavor growing more than what we initially thought it would, and I think I'm prepared for this. Don't worry."] Her hands froze for a second, just before adding. ["Besides, I have a lot of things in mind. This has just been the beginning, and I intend for this to be really big. After all, a little bit of greatness wouldn't hurt us, right?"]
Kyo seemed to, strangely enough, contemplate those words silently. And... she ended up nodding; she preferred a simpler lifestyle, but she knew that the time and age for that was long gone.
Still... she had to admit that she was quite excited to see what her partner had in store. Knowing her, it'd probably be pretty amazing.

Suddenly, a shadow loomed over the duo. The short form of GladiXV-mon hovered besides them, looking flatly at the two as he reached into one of his pouches. From it he produced a single letter, holding it out to Yuu casually.
"Three guesses at what it is." He said casually, letting go of it as soon as Yuu took it. He wasn't even surprised that he had somehow ended up serving as a mailboy once again. Even when far away from Eldoradimon, his past still refused to let go of him. That reminded him... 'I need to send a letter to master soon.' No need to make the old knight nervous.
He tapped at his lip, wondering why he felt like he was forgetting something...
Oh, right.
"Ah." He slowly overed to the side, gesturing with his hand towards another group that was standing some paces behind him. A trio, twin digimon and a single tamer. "Yuu, Kyo. I believe you are already acquaintanced with Colin, Luke and Bellamy?"
"Good; they want to join P.R.O.F.I.T. I'll trust your judgement on this one; they helped me with my task at the plains, which is already vastly more effort than most other members of P.R.O.F.I.T. have put to join. Which reminds me." He reached into another pouch, pulling a notepad and a map. "The data for the plains restoration efforts is here. I'll leave it at your office for you to sort out later. If you need anything, just call for me and I will clarify."
Nodding at Kyo, then at Colin and the twins, and finally at Yuu, the young dragon hovered into the 'base' to finally finish his task.

Here they were, back at Whitewater. Colin enjoyed it here - the warmth of the subtropical heat, the salty breeze of the sea, it simply felt so... healthy, somehow. But still, he was a little nervous. Even if he had met Yuu and Kyo before, he had no idea that they were the leaders of a small workers' organization here in the digital world. And since Colin had never been employed before (mostly for being too young), he was understandably a little trembly about the formalities around it.
His twin partners Bellamy the Impmon and Luke the Elecmon meanwhile were doing their best to make good impressions. They realized that they had not yet been seen by many in their Rookie forms and both hoped to make good impressions, wearing snazzy and not too flashy tropical button-ed up shirts. Bellamy had also attempted to add a tie to his costume, but it wasn't quite perfectly done up properly. Still though, he'd learn in time.
They followed GladiXV-mon as he approached Yuu and Kyo, waiting for him to introduce them. Colin smiled a little gratefully as he spoke highly of their work in the survey of the plains. He then temporarily left them, leaving the three to talk to Yuu and Kyo.
"Hello, Yuu" Colin said, nodding his head a little. "So Gladius here said that you were running a kind of... uh... organization, right? Where you do jobs to help out the digital world?" he hoped this was right. "Well, if that's the case, we're interested in joining. We can help out in any way we can..." he thought he'd need to do a disclaimer of sorts though. "But I've never worked before, so, uh, I'm not entirely sure what the process is"
Bellamy and Luke meanwhile stepped forward.
"Heya guys" Bellamy said, waving. "I've probably grown a little since you last saw me, heh" he winked at nobody in general. "But yep, what Col here said, anything we can do to help and not lay about doin' nothing all day is fine by us"
Luke didn't feel like he had anything to add to this, so he simply smiled in the background and waited for the reply.

Yuu wasn't surprised at Squired appearance, and neither she was about the envelope being held just in front of her. She heaved a soft sigh, just before stretching her arm in order to take the letter.
["Thank you for working so dutifully."] She had to admit that Kyo had a good eye for potential recruits. The digimon formerly known as Squire was pretty competent, even if just a little bit quirky. But who wasn't. Before she could open it up, however, she was informed of the presence of a trio she already knew. Colin, Luke and Bellamy. What a surprise.
Given that pleasantries were in order, she stood up from her chair, not without showing the slightest desire to remain that way a little longer. Just as Kyo did the same, but with way more liveliness, the blonde waved at them, a small smile on her face.
"Sup, everyone!" The small digimon said cheerfully, happiness apparent on her every gesture. "Long time no see, guys! Take you've been doing well?" She then fixed her gaze on the twins, excitement showing rather obviously. "You two look pretty great now! And evolved quite fast, too. That's some talent!"
So... they wanted to join? Colin seemed to be a little bit nervous about it, for some reason. Fixing her sunglasses to have a better look of their faces, Yuu took brought a finger to her chin, seemingly thinking for a bit before finally signing, just for Kyo to translate. She had left her notepad in the office, so written communication was out of question right now.
"Uuuh, are you sure of it?" The Plotmon asked, seemingly surprised at the what she was being told. "Okay; Got it!"
The teenager continued signing as Kyo began to speak.
"Well, big sis wants to know if you're entirely sure of your decision. I mean, it's not that you can't leave at any time if this organization doesn't up meeting your expectations, but some amount of commitment would be greatly appreciated! It's not like we doubt your judgment or anything of the sort, but Yuu just wants to make sure that you're entirely sure about this." She made a pause, almost as if thinking about what to say next. "Oh, and she also wants to know if you know all the benefits and responsibilities that being in here entails. Take our friend over here explained them to you?"
From the get-go, it didn't look like they fully understood what entailed P.R.O.F.I.T.'s activities, and could cause some trouble if they joined just like that. And, even if Squire vouched for them, Yuu wanted to measure how capable they were by herself. This letter would probably be a pretty good mean to accomplish that. She gazed at Squire, signing at him while making sure that Kyo caught her gestures.
["I'll go and get changed. This thing surely is some kind of job, so... better to get prepared. Could you please explain Collin about what entails being in here in a more in-depth fashion? If he wants to join, I want to be sure that he has made up his mind."]
She wasn't one to like lukewarm choices, in all honesty. And that's how with a small nod and a gesture of her hand, she began to walk into the organization's shack. Wonder what would be their job today.

The small dragon wasted no time. The moment he stepped into the base he made a beeline for the leader's office. Once inside, he walked towards the desk, rounding around it and opening one of the cabinets on that side. He then opened a secret compartment inside the cabinets, before letting the security system grasp the notes and move them further down into the desk. He doubted anyone would want their notes, but it paid being extra careful.
After all, P.R.O.F.I.T was, as the name stated, a for-profit Organization; their efforts to support the restoration efforts where for good publicity just as much as they were out of good will. It would be a good way to further establish their presence and position in the digital world.
Waiting until the security system had fully locked down onto the data, the young dragon nodded to himself before exiting the office. Now he had nothing to do, unfortunately. A good part of being an archaeologist was that nearly every job was interesting. A bad part was that it wasn't as consistent as, say, Ryouta's 'deliveries' or Yuu's and Kyo's Lawful activities.
Which meant it was time to bother Kyo.
He set to doing that immediately, nodding dutifully towards Yuu as she walked into the shack. Then he made a beeline towards Kyo, hovering towards her before reaching out for the scruff of her neck (or rather, her holy ring), grinning just slightly.
"So, what are we doing today?" He asked, making it immediately known he had nothing better to do.

"Yep, we've been going pretty well, thanks" Luke said, nodding as Kyo asked them. "We digivolved to Rookie when Ryouta and Ryu were training us" he explained.
"Barely a day after we hatched mind you~" Bellamy felt the need to add proudly. Ah, how he simply loved having arms and legs again. Being all Head and no Impster was a pain he didn't want to experience again.
It seemed Yuu didn't have her notepad on her, so it was left up to Kyo to translate. Colin did his best to focus his attention on Yuu while Kyo was simply speaking the words she was signing. It was a bit tricky, something that Luke and Bellamy couldn't manage very well either. But they still heard the message.
"Well..." Colin said hesitantly. "I guess I'm not 100% certain, but, I am at least nearly making my mind up about it" he explained. "I mean, most people who helped me in some way when I was getting used to how to get by in the digital world seem to be in the organization, right? So I'd like to find a way to help them back in a way. And the work that you're doing - repairing damage and things like that, it seems good and sounds like something that we can do as beginners"
He hoped that was good reason enough. Then they were asked if they knew all the benefits and responsibilities of joining. "Ah, no, I don't think I do" Colin said, shaking his head a little. "Could you please tell me?"
It looked like that job would be put to Kyo, since Yuu would apparently go and get changed. Then it seemed Gladius returned, seeming like he was on playful terms with Kyo. In a way, Bellamy and Luke wanted to see what happened next.

The puppy grinned at the brothers, pretty happy that they were making progress.
"Well, ain't that good! Evolving on your first day since you hatched is quite an accomplishment! I remember doing the same thing myself, like... twice, even!" She giggled a bit at her own remark; being true was a strange, yet funny colorful note. "That means that you two will have a bright path ahead of you, just as long as you keep on with the hard work! I'm sure of it."
Of course, it was somewhat obvious that Colin hadn't entirely made up his mind about this; one day probably wasn't enough for it, that much was a given. Still, the fact that not-Fencer hadn't bothered to tell them what this entailed even on the slightest was something she had to remedy, so... not caring about being grabbed or by the digimon's total disregard about Yuu's words, she began.
"Well... first of all, I'm happy that you found the members of our organization to be helpful!" The cheeriness was evident on her voice. "Let's see, why we aren't exactly a charity and goody-two-shoes, we like to help people out because of a really simple thing; prosperity attracts more prosperity! People and digimons with a better quality of life are able to spend more money into stuff. And we're looking to provide that stuff, no matter what it is! Products, services, anything! As long as it's within the laws and is mostly morally acceptable in here, you can take for granted that we'll be there! Now, you may ask why we want to be so wealthy? Truth is... I frankly have no idea."
She shrugged at that last comment. Strange as that was, that was the truth.
"Yuu can be a bit secretive at times, but I think that she has grand plans on store! I'm actually quite excited to see them!" After saying those words, her expression turned... surprisingly serious. "Now, about what you can expect from us. We aren't a heartless company just searching for profit. First and foremost, we're a group of friends and as such, just as we have each other's backs, we expect the same from everyone else. That means that any behavior that can be perceived as something a friend wouldn't do will be met with a punishment appropriate to the offense. You can expect one warning if you're straying, but not more than just that. I'll be honest here; you three look like good guys, so I'm sure that you won't have trouble with any of this, but it's still something I have to explain to you due to its importance. Now, into the fine details..."
Before she could proceed, she was interrupted twofold. First, with Squire coming back. and asking her a question.
"I have no idea, really. Yuu just went to get dressed so... we're waiting for her, I guess? But..." For a second, she recovered her cheery disposition. "We're going on an adventure for sure!"
And then, Yuu. This time on something more apt to traveling. They were simple clothes; a pair of shorts and a shirt, even though now she was still had the sunglasses resting on top of her head. She held her hat with one of her hands just as she began to sign to Kyo with the other. The digimon was pretty quick to translate.
"I'm going to inspect one of the nearby islands. Apparently, there's some suspicious activity going on there. A transport has already been arranged." She made a pause, just as the blonde regarded the small group. "You four are free to come; Colin, if you're still doubtful about this, you can come to see how stuff is done in here. Otherwise... you're free to stay in this place, I guess. Shall we go?"
Having signed that, she began to walk in the port's direction.
"Yup! I'm going! Sounds like an interesting job!"

"I see." He answered thoughtfully. His arm wrapping around her small frame and pulled her against his chest, his other hand tapping at his chin. "Bringing Colin and the twins along? Your jobs usually entail capturing or killing fugitives. Not exactly a safe job, is it?" He started, glancing down at her. "Though I guess it does make for a good jump start on our usual jobs."
It was unfortunate, but more often than not, they were sent on manhunts, rather than the more fun, adventurous treasure hunts.
Kyo hadn't been able to tell him much on the mission, but Yuu was quick to rectify that once she got back. Suspicious activity was slightly different from what they usually dealt with, but well within the boundaries of their usual job. More often than not, said suspicious activity would likely end up requiring someone to put an abrupt stop to it.
"Sounds interesting." He commented casually, glancing down at Kyo. "Leave a few if they aren't beyond perfect. I would like to do something beyond spectating for once." He said bluntly, patting the little kill thief on the head. Watching the all powerful Ultimates and Super Ultimates of the team do everything most of the time lost its shine real quick for him. He liked doing stuff. He liked fighting. He liked stabbing stuff.
Never tell Dukemon about that part.
Squire followed behind Yuu, Kyo still in his arms.

"Yep, all that sounds great" Bellamy said, pleased at being told that they had a bright path ahead of them. "We're not really interested in charity work either. I mean, we gotta get by on a living, right?"
"Of course, as long as it's all on board with laws" Luke added. Colin nodded in agreement with his partners. "And it sounds like it is, so, it definitely sounds like something we'd be into"
"Yeah, from what I hear so far, it sounds like a basic service, do good and be paid for it" Colin finished. "That's how jobs on Earth work as far as I can tell anyway" he chuckled. This chuckle faded as Kyo's tone turned serious. She explained about what would be expected of them.
That if they made any wrongdoing, they would be warned and then punished. Even Bellamy paid attention to this one. While he liked fun, he would never do something like steal or hurt or vandalize.
"Yeah... you can count on us not to do anything like that" the Impmon said, seriously. "I learned my lesson about that long ago" he finished a little quietly. Once long ago, even after he had stopped doing bad things, his vices had caught up with him, and ended up putting him and his best friend through terrible suffering. But now he had a new life, and he would run it more carefully.
Colin and Luke agreed fervently. Colin knew what the right thing to do was, and Luke always did the right thing by his friends. Then Kyo said that Yuu would provide the finer details, but until she arrived, she simply said that they were going on an adventure.
"Huh really? Sounds neat" Bellamy said, excited. "Where are we going?"
"Wait, hold on" Luke said, wanting to know more details before they set off.
Apparently they were going to inspect some suspicious activity on an island. Colin scratched his chin. Well... that could be good. In fact, yes, he wanted to get started, and he was curious about what it was exactly that they did around here.
"Yeah, I think we would like to come along and watch" Colin said, agreeing enthusiastically.
"Heh heh, that's the spirit" Bellamy said, patting his back. He then put an arm around the more hesitant Luke. "Come on Lukey, time to watch some action around here!"
"Well... if they're breaking the law, I guess they would have to be stopped" Luke said, agreeing. Then they heard Gladius ask to leave anything below perfect to him.
"Huh... hold on, can you take on a Perfect?" Bellamy asked him, curiously. "Heh, guess you're stronger than I thought Gladius!"
With that, Colin and the twins followed the group toward the port, all bristling with anticipation of an adventure.

I apologize profusely for the delay
As Kyo smiled at the small group agreeing with PROFIT's policies, she looked at Squire almost as if he had grown a second head. "Well, it's not like this world is exactly safe, you know? Especially in this line of work. But don't worry, I'm sure they'll meet Yuu's expectations! Nothing like a good first impression, don't you think?"Well, it wasn't like Squire had given the best of first impressions, but at least these three had the chance to do so. Said and done, the group began to walk towards the port, Kyo resting in the dragon's hold. They arrived to their destination soon enough, and while their means of transport weren't exactly fancy, at least they'd serve their purpose. The ship was relatively small, but had ample space for the six of them to fit comfortably in. Given the indications Yuu was given, she guessed they'd arrive to that island in like... half an hour or so? Seems like a good window of time. Again, her signs were translated by Kyo. "Let's get this started. The trip shouldn't be too long, but be alert, just in case something strange springs before we reach or destination. Let's go."Once everybody got it. Yuu started the thing's engine. Hopefully this time they wouldn't just find another disappointment, just like last time.

Gladius just pouted at Kyo, rolling his eyes. "I meant safe relatively speaking." He informed her, knocking his knuckles softly on her skull. "There's plenty of safer jobs out there. Not everything we do includes putting Digimon on an early grave." Though it was a considerable percentage of their missions, now that he thought about it. A little smirked stretched over his lips, eyes half lidded as he glanced to the side.
"Not that I have a problem with this kind of missions." If there was anything he was lacking, it was not blood thirst. He liked poking stuff with his sword quite a lot, regardless of his usual blank expression and demeanor. The missions just ensured he was being proactive about it. Good, because he didn't need Dukemon to come chew him out on the importance of self-control and the fairness of justice if he accidentally stabbed someone innocent.
To Bellamy, he simply rolled his shoulders and threw a grin his way, eyes half lidded as he responded. "I dunno. I just feel confident about my chances." He said, his hand moving to scratch Kyo's fur. When one was around people this strong all the time, training with them and what not, one tended to feel fairly confident about their strength.
Their ship wasn't too impressive, something that may surprise some considering the rather luxurious mode of transport Ryouta generally traveled in, but it had always been more than impressive enough for Gladius, who hadn't really seen much in the way of such things from within the walls of the Golden City.
He took to sitting precariously on the railing, looking out in the ocean while still holding Kyo's practically weightless form to his chest. This was his second time on the sea, his first time having been with one insane tamer and his merry band of poor bastards.

As they approached the boat, Bellamy and Luke looked hesitantly at the water. Colin realized what their fears were.
"I should really get around to teaching you guys to swim shouldn't I?" he asked them. He remembered they had told him that they couldn't swim.
"Would probably be a priority" Bellamy agreed. Although he supposed that they were in a boat so the chances of them falling in would probably be fairly low. Nonetheless, surely Colin or even Gladius looked like strong swimmers. Neither Bellamy or Luke particularly enjoyed the water since they nearly died in a frozen lake in the North in their previous lives. While of course they would have been reconfigured, the experience was something that was branded strongly in their memory.
Colin and his partners took their spots on the boat and waited for it to set off. Bellamy continued to grin up at Gladius. "You've got that feelin' too, huh?" he asked. "Heh, I feel the same" he said, confidently. Colin and Luke didn't say so, but, they had to agree, today just felt like things would go right somehow.
The boat trip out was pretty sweet. Bellamy and Luke got over their initial nervousness about water and enjoyed the sea breeze blowing through their fur as the ship zipped across the bay. As advised, they kept on alert, knowing that sea digimon could easily appear out of the water and knock them in, but Colin was surrounded by people stronger than him, and so hoped they would be able to handle things.

Phone post. Sooooooorry! It wouldn't be a really long trip. However, Both Kyo and Yuu met Luke and Bellamy's initial reaction with a quirked eyebrow. Being afraid of water in a world like this really wouldn't do.
Well, maybe for Meramons or the like, but definitely not for these two.
"Don't worry! I can understand you being afraid of stuff, it's kinda natural, but the best way to beat them is to face them head-on and prove them they aren't such a big deal! Worked for me thus far, at least for now."
Well, it wasn't entirely, like that, given that Kyo's greatest fear was still there, even if almost dormant due to the amount of time that had passed since the last time she had been subject to it, and, in some way, due to how experience had shaped her being. Right now, she was really confident on her chances of facing it, should it even appear again.
But... that was stuff for later.
"So... what about you, big blue guy? Anything you fear, besides that old tin can's wrath?" Considering the digimon's somewhat sheltered lifestyle, Kyo wasn't really expecting an answer from him, but having some fun never hurt, right?
Eventually, the group arrived the the small body of land. The place wasn't exactly huge, but it was big enough to warrant some time searching. This would be fun.
As soon as their vessel was safely secured into the shore and everyone was treading on land, Yuu began to sign, her words being translated swiftly by her partner.
"Well, here are the options on what we could do. We can split so we can cover more ground or just be to together in case something mean appears. Our objective to find if there's anything like the suspicious activity reported, so we'll have to familiarize ourselves with the lay of the land... or get lucky, whatever comes first."
Maybe they could do a combination of those, like Colin coming with her and Squire going his way. That'd be balanced enough

Squire glanced down at the inquiring pup, tilting a thin eyebrow. 'Big blue guy'?
"Just Gladius will do." He replied flatly. "I'll tell if you if I fear anything when I know it. I haven't really thought too deeply about such things." What did he fear, anyways? It wasn't exactly a topic he regularly pondered upon on his free time. He didn't fear the darkness or the unknown, obviously; his line of work would have been a terrible choice if he had.
Well, there was something to think about in the future. He would need to figure himself out soon; he really didn't need his unknown fears sucker punching him in the near future.
They arrived at their destination soon enough, and a spark of excitement lit up in Gladi-XVmon's eye. His jobs usually were more about searching for items in ancient sites and ruins; combat was sparse since he was usually required to complete such jobs as swiftly as possible.
One of the many reasons he enjoyed tagging along for Kyo's jobs. Rarely was he ever up to par with the task, the targets required for her to defeat being much above his league, but it was always a good learning experience.
And he did enjoy getting in a few shots if he could manage, no matter how ineffective.
He liked Yuu's line of thinking.
"Let's split up, then." Said the blue dragon, nodding at Yuu and Kyo before slowly sinking to his knees, placing Kyo onto the floor. He could have probably thrown her and she would still have found a way to land on her feet perfectly, but that was just rude.
And she hadn't been annoying him anyways.
"I go my way, Colin and the twins go with you, I assume?" He asked, rolling his arms experimentally, his arm and chest muscles flexing. Even though he was a digimon and likely had no bones to speak of, his body seemed to pop soundly, sending a swift pleasant sensation under his skin.

Luke and Bellamy looked a little embarrassed at Kyo noticing that they were a little nervous around water. But Bellamy for one decided to grin and bear it.
"Hmph, I ain't scared" he denied immediately. "Just... kinda unsettled? At least it ain't cold water"
Luke decided to clarify what he meant. "Both of us have memories of almost drowning in the North" he explained. "And, well, we know with you guys around this'll be different and safe, but, some fears stick you know?"
Colin remembered them saying as much once. "Well, as your partner, I'll see it as my duty to give you two swimming lessons once we're finished, okay?" he said, smiling. "Once you're confident in the water you should be fine, I know you two can swim" he assured them, brightly.
Gladius apparently didn't have any fears. Colin, Luke and Bellamy thought as much. None of them could really read that guy. Ah well, maybe times would change? They noticed he seemed to get a bit of an excited expression as they arrived. Bellamy also grinned with a bit of excitement, looking forward to see what would happen here.
The boat trip was thankfully not very long and there were no such attacks by sea monsters. They disembarked on the island, Colin, Luke and Bellamy jumping off onto dry land.
It was suggested that they split up. "Well, if we're set on it, sure" Bellamy said, shrugging. "Who'll we go with, Colin?"
Colin pondered about it for a moment, before deciding that they might be best to go with the most powerful, seeing as Luke and Bellamy had not yet evolved past Rookie, and they hoped that Yuu and Kyo would be able to teach them more about missions like these. "We'll go with Yuu and Kyo" he said, thinking Gladius's idea was good.
