Gryz was about to say something, but this sort of problem indeed is a problem of its own too. He guess that it's probably a good idea to gain his trust slowly, so he commented to Kai's answer... the problem is, will he accept it, or will he just ignore most of it yet again?
"Feelings are odd indeed, yes, If it's not illogical, then it's not emotions I say. Emotions are unfortunately often described as something like... you know what caused it, well, almost often anyway, but even if you know it, you, most of the time, cannot control it. That's why your jealousy, while logically unjustified, should be emotionally justified.... Whoops, I accidentally got philosophical there. Anyway, non philosophy mumbojumbo aside.... you know what caused it, and I'm sure that talk is easy, but doing it is not. Well, another way is to look at this way, I guess... there are something that your brother can have, and there's something that only you can have, but not your brother... well again, this is something that you need to solve by your own."
However, before he can ask for more, he apparently sent sign (or so according to Gryz) that the conversation is over. Pity. He quickly returned to where Tetsu is.
"Hey, I'm just checkin'..." Tetsu said, pouting at the white cat. "Is it wrong to get worried?" Oh well, that's fine. He put the first plate near Shiro, a sign that he may eat it.
Kai was more than happy to escape the awkward conversation. It was vaguely sad that a happy gathering like this had been marred by his own insecurity issues- At least Shiro seemed happy, as the white Digimon dug into the plate before him. The occasional fleck of sausage which fell out of his mouth, only to be caught beofre reaching the ground... Well, it only reinforced Kai and Kuro's lack of desire to eat anything. If offered, they would only decline the food with a polite, "No thank you."
The Digimon stayed silent. He guessed that it's a really unfortunate subject that should not be addressed further. Oh well, he probably gonna need to get some contact details. He approached Kai and offered a cellphone. "Why don't we trade cellphone number? I think it's good to have more allies," he confessed. Still, that kind of moment was probably interrupted by Shiro eating the sausages. Tetsu looked at the rest of them and offered some, but Gryz was a bit against it... especially looking at how much the cat ate. Is that stomach some black hole? Well, he just shook his head and watches Tetsu ate the sausage with Shiro.
...Different species, yet bird of same feathers, huh.
"Huh?" Kai was surprised at first. Since when does a Digimon have his own cell phone? Then again... Kai just shrugged off the confusion and replied, "Oh, uh, sure. Here." Kai offered his own flip phone to the bear. IR would automatically transmit the contact details between the two devices. How convenient was that!
When the food has all been devoured, Shiro lets out a grand yawn. "Aaah... So tiired..." before falling asleep curled up by Tetsu. Kai chuckles. "Sorry about him... I guess that probably means that it's about time for me to take these two home, though, eh?"
"Thank you very much," Gryz thanked him. Just to be sure, he checked again. "If you got LINE, I'm mostly there. Well, that aside, I often use PC or ask Tetsu to type for me, though. Neither of us are fast typer, so sorry if we're late in that regard. Well, anyway, let's get along, Kai!"
Meanwhile, Tetsu only could coo affectionately at how Shiro is curling up like that near him. He's more to a dog perso--err, bear person (but he doesn't have a bear pet, though! (and Gryz is like a brother afterall)), but Shiro, he admit, is really cute! He let him stay there near him while still eating. The boy just tilted his head at Kai, then at Shiro, pointing at the cat Digimon.
"Ah, 'im? Let 'im be. 'e's cute."
But upon hearing the part about going home, he quickly bagged some of the grilled food and handed it to Kai.
"Ya and Kuro doesn't ate yet, so I'm goin' ta share this with ya," he declared. It's illegal and still illegal, but the food itself is legal, and the kid's seem not going to move unless Kai accept it... Or at least firmly reject it, but this is a kid. So what will he do, Gryz wonder?
It was a cute picture, to be sure- But Kai really should be getting back home. He took the bag of treats with a small bow. "Thank you for your generosity, Tetsu-kun." The food would be useful. It meant that for at least one meal, he wouldn't have to pay to feed Shiro! On a tight budget as is, such a thing is immensely valuable to Kai. "I hope to see the two of you again soon- And I am sure that Kuro and Shiro would say the same, if they were not so soundly asleep."
Gently placing the sleeping cat alongside his sister, Kai waved to his two new friends, before setting off. Another day, another meeting, another friend.
