Oh shit. Asher had said something wrong, didn't he? Judging from the way that Isaac was looking, he really struck a nerve. Suspicion on the door was confirmed as it magically moved on it's own. But, that didn't seem to be a primary focus anymore. It was more the fact that Isaac looked legitimately broken. Like, worse than a porcelain doll that some little kid was smashing on a wall.
Then the words started. And, Asher suddenly wished for silence again. But, he waited for the bitterness to cease, before standing up and shrugging. "You know? Yeah, being a great big brother's come naturally to me. I've been doing it since I was nine. You make it sound like a burden." Riddle Isaac that kind of math! Piper most certainly existed before Asher was nine, or they'd have a much different age gap! Of course, he suspected that none of it would even be heard by Isaac. Not with a mood like that.
"See? This is what happens when we are left alone. Did you enjoy our precious time together?" Rising from the chair, the spirit user swiped his phone back, and walked out the bedroom door without another word. If he happened to pass Elliot in the hall, he would lightly brush a hand on his shoulder in passing, but otherwise seemed to be talking to his sister on the phone about forgetting that she wanted him to take her someplace for the day. Whether this was an actual phone call or not would remain a mystery.
Well. It had worked. Isaac surely hated him at this point, and there really was no backing out now that the redhead had closed the door to their home. Lightly pulling on the collar of his shirt, he tried to be as casual as possible returning to his car. Of course, once there, there were more than a few deep breaths, and gripping his chest. That was... that was really difficult.
How awful.
Collecting himself, Asher looked at his phone, before tossing it onto the passenger seat. Terrible. He was terrible. That was the point he wanted to get across, right? Asher had wanted this. But, why did it just feel so wrong?
Either way, it was still too late. So, the teen turned on the vehicle, and began his journey back home.
