Karin know that in every Digimental shared among her and her friends slash crews, theirs are rather special. Many called forth possibilities of what could happened when someone go on different route from how they are, yet still following the crest. Ryouta, for example, his Justice is a duality between giving up yourself to path of absolute judge that cut themselves from any worldly attachment or to become a demon that destroy all enemies in front of them in order to protect friends.
...And thus, one only can assume super ultimate form when took their own path. That's why, all of them achieved that level when they form their own ideal of their crest. However, it doesn't help that she have to got reseted after a fight with a particularly strong Digimon. She nearly died, so is her Darcmon partner Jeanne. Now, these two, theyre looking for the armor again...
Following trail of red rose, the form of their old form, Lord Knightmon.
"...Not here either," Jeanne muttered.
"Yep, not here..."

It was a nice day to just take a load off and hang out. That was what Alicia thought as she was took a leisurely stroll through one of the quieter areas of the Digital World. She’d seen enough of the snowy mountains for one life time honestly! So, the Steel Spirit Wielder went about as far in the other direction temperature wise. Not quite to the desert because that was a bit too much for her but mainly she wanted to be somewhere she didn’t need to abuse one of her forms for the sake of just being comfortable.
“Mmm… Hard to believe a day like this could possible go wrong, right?” Alicia asked to her two spirits, who manifested at her sides upon being addressed, the armored dragon Sol on her right, and the ice maiden Kisara on her left.
”Alicia… you know that such comments are basically telling the world ‘please throw some kind of complication my way’ right? That line of thinking often invites disaster in this world.” Sol cautioned, folding his arms over his chest.
”Ha! Disaster nothing, Alicia can handle pretty much anything that gets thrown her way nowadays. She’s really strong and pretty clever, Sol. I don’t think we need to worry about her too much!” Kisara countered back, kicking off the ground and laying back on the air and simply floating beside the Steel Spirit User because, well, she was a spirit and she could do things like that!
Sol still looked concerned, but shrugged his shoulders and relented on the subject as the ice maiden brought up quite a good point. But then his sharp eyes caught an oddity in the day. ”Kid, we’ve got contact up ahead. Looks like a tamer/partner pair looking for something.” he advised, smiling.
“What do you think about them just on first appearance? Should I be worried?” Alicia asked, dropping her voice to a whisper. Sol shook his head in response, ”Only if you provoke hostilities.” The redhead smiled at that, picking up her pace to a light jog.
“Well, let’s see what’s up then!” she quipped with a smile, coming into view of the young woman and her angelic partner, raising a hand and waving to see if she could get their attention. “Hello!”

"Presence," Jeanne alerted. Karin of course already know from her Digivice's trill. Hmmm, well, honestly she's not someone who really likes to be social about it, but she let it be. She still walked forward, looking for the signal of the digivice, hoping that it would at least tell her that her armor is this way... C'mon, there are trails of roses petal, it's impossible that there are nothing here...!
"...Coming closer," Jeanne alerted.
They even took the same path as she does? Well, that settled it. Does they seem to be the hostile kind or the type that just here for something else entirely? Well, she'll know when she turn around and meet them eyes to eyes. She did that exactly and faces someone... rather unique...
...Her eyes saws two Digimons, but... nothing that she ever saw before. One male looking and one female looking... except transparent. Karin tilted her head slightly in confusion.
"...OK, hey," she greeted.

”Well, this is curious.” Kisara quipped as she flipped herself right side up again, though she decided to keep floating as she smiled. ”Hi hi! Fancy meeting someone else here!” She called, waving and giggling.
”I hope we weren’t intruding on anything, ladies.” Sol continued, bowing a bit to them out of respect. The dragon stepped back and a bit behind Alicia at that, letting their host take center stage. After all if he started talking too much he would upset her.
“Ah… yeah, what these two said. I’m Alicia, the big dragon behind me now is Sol, and our floating little mischief maker here is Kisara.” At the comment of her tendencies, Kisara pouted and fussed a bit, looking at Alicia.
”Really!? Come one we just introduced ourselves!” Kisara snipped, upset. Alicia just reached up and swatted the ice maiden on the head. She winced and curled a bit, clutching her head where she was smacked. ”Owwie…” Well… That was a thing that happened.
“She deserves advanced warning of your tendencies so she knows to keep an eye on you…” Alicia shot back with narrowed eyes. Kisara just floated back as well and fake-cried for dramatic effect. The redhead shook her head and looked over to Karin. “Sorry about her ahead of time, she’s never actively malicious but… Bored Spirits can find interesting ways to mess with people…” And then the Spirit User held her hand out to the Tamer. “How’re you? Lost something?”

"Curious indeed," Jeanne quipped. "We've seen silent spirit totems and one that corrupts or possesses its wielder, but never I've seen one that haunts them. No, you're not interrupting anything. More than anything, we're glad that you're not the ones who would give us any sort of problem."
From Karin's stance when she saw the spirits, probably it's clear to say that she's still wary, but when Jeanne said that, she relaxed herself somewhat. Introduction came soon.
"Takamiya Karin," she introduced curtly. then shook the woman's hand. "and my partner Jeanne. Thank you for your prior warning, but as she said, never thought I'd met with a spirit that directly speaks to other people. Generally a year ago, everyone just... talking with their spirits in their mind. Lot of us called it Spirit User inflicted Schizophrenia, because none of us really understand what's going on in their head. Anyway... no, we're not.. really lost something. More like... we're LOOKING for it and possibly just scouts... Because I know if we're trying to get it now, we'll be horribly beaten and get haunted again," she answered.
...yeah, she know she probably leaves too little information and too many questions for Alicia, but that doesn't matter for her. "Anyway, what about you yourself? Looking something around here? I don't think that people normally go to this labyrinth unless they're looking for something..."

Alicia hummed to herself at that, tilting her head and Karin’s visible wariness. It made her sad that someone could have reason to regard her in such a way based on someone else’s actions but… depending on the event, she doubted she could blame her. And seeing as that was likely a sore subject? Not touching that with a ten-foot pole unless Karin herself brings it up.
“Oh, the talking to the spirit part isn’t all that new? I’m glad someone would understand my pain.” The redhead quipped with a smirk. “Of course, then I picked up Kisara later by surprise so… maybe not? Anyways, these two have certainly made things interesting for me.” Shaking her head, she smiled. “Well, maybe another set of eyes would help? It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve helped someone with things like this.”
Of course, then the million-dollar question popped up. What WAS she doing down in a labyrinth like this? Sol took the silent cue to use his tail to shove Kisara back into the metaphorical spotlight. Said ice maiden responded by giggling nervously and looking back and forth. ”Uuuh… that… may or may not have been my fault…?” she certainly sounded like she didn’t want to outright admit to it…
“You’re the one who went and dragged me down here without a second thought when I mentioned feeling a bit adventurous…” Alicia noted, elbowing the frosty spirit in the ribs. “That’s another issue with her, Karin…” She continued, looking to the Tamer. “Some of my misadventures were caused entirely by her…”
”Truly a Queen of comical disaster… And sometimes not-so-comical either on a very bad day…” Sol intoned with a brief nod of his head. Kisara had no retort and hung her head, looking depressed at getting called out for her antics.

"It wasn't new," Karin reaffirmed. "However, these," she pointed at Kisara and Sol "is entirely new for me. Really, I never seen someone's spirit came out like that. Well, I guess I owe you some sort of apology for be on such guard, but I guess I can't help it... I've gone through... quite some adventures," she tried to explain, hopefully that would be enough. If not... well, let's elaborate on both the bear and the evil lawyer... or the spirit user. Whichever made her shudder.
"Well, if you want to help, feel free and it will be very appreciated, but I mainly the one with compass," she shook her digivice, grips colored in rhodonite pink. "So I think it'll be more beneficial that we... stick together, especially because the nature of the... said object..."
"...It's Digimental, but it's very detrimental because it's quite mental..." Jeanne began, but stopped after thinking how silly she is. "...no pun intended."
"Well, anyway... I'll just say that it's very dangerous, yet, do you still want to come with me?"
The answer was quite baffling for Karin. Sorry, what, so apparently they're just pulled here by the ice maiden spirit? Karin cannot help but to smirk at it.
"...Well, I guess it's far better than being possessed to complete an entire megalomaniac set of spirit," she muttered. "I had enough one bad encounter with spirit user... Then again, My meeting with most of them can be counted with just one hand..."

”Well would you look at that. So many years later and still turning heads at being anomalies in the metaphorical system… Never fails, hmm Kisara?” Sol quipped, a smug smile growing on his expression. Well wasn’t he a proud one right then and there?
”You turned heads just doing what you did whenever. Never had to be a novelty appearance or anything like that. And quit that smug smirking it’s always very toothy no matter what you do. Makes you look like the bad guy or the cat that just caught the pet mouse.” Kisara shot back, causing the dragon to immediately drop his smile.
”Really, Kisara? We’re touching THAT topic again? I swear I’ve been working on that for years! Can’t you give a guy a break?” Now they were staring at each other with metaphorical sparks in their eyes but… oddly they weren’t talking anymore?
Alicia was, on the other hand starting to look more and more frustrated. “One second Karin.” Turning towards the two, she pulled a wrench from the tool kit in her backpack and promptly whacked both of her spirits upside the head. The two reeled from the strike, Sol blinking in surprise while Kisara had streams of tears from her eyes as she pouted at Alicia. The Steel Spirit User was having none of it though. “Both of you cut it out! Or at least talk openly about it! Do you realize how frustrating it can be to listen to you two use thoughts only to hash it out!? You get so loud without even thinking about it!”
Huffing and putting the wrench away she looked back to the Tamer and her partner. “Sorry about that…” she noted with a sigh. Shaking her head, she shrugged “Honestly I’m more in danger once these two start bickering too much, and it wouldn’t be the first time I chucked myself into a dangerous situation at the drop of a hat…”
Pulling her D-Scanner out, she twirled it in her hand. “So, I guess I just need to decide if I want to evolve in preparation of trouble or hang out and be reactive.” And as she expected, Karin had a bad time with a spirit user herself… Alicia looked down at that, considering if she wanted to ask about it. So she decided to give Karin the option.
“You… wanna talk about it while we’re going? I’m all ears if you’re so inclined to…” She offered, smiling softly.

"I swear I've seen so many anomalies, me being one included," she replied, pointing at her hair strands that looks... metallic instead of organic. Jeanne only chuckled and let her partner do the speaking. "Well, that aside, ain't they lively? One is rather... old man-like though, not that it's that bad either, but... yeah." she admitted. "...What's the story behind your spirits?"
Still, the moment Alicia just take out a wrench of all thing and SMACKED the spirits above their head made Karin wince. Yeeesh, tell her to never get on this woman's bad side! Although so, Jeanne just stared at two of them warmly... why not? They're like bird of same feather! They quick to retaliate with physical punishment! Asher was especially in the unfortunate department.
"...Understandable," Karin answered, nodding. "But it's still nothing compared to that guy, I guess. i can trust you... I think? Anyway, no need, we've been walking for some time. Without our Digimentals, we're just unable to proceed as much as we liked. Jeanne's form is an angel afterall..."
"As much as I want to deny it, being something that can be ridden instead of being angel like this feels different. There's difference in burden I say," the Darcmon quipped.
"...Well, let's just talk while resting then... Do you want some?" she asked, offering a sandwich with the B for the Bacon changed into chicken cutlet and the T for Tomato changed into cheese slice, topped with mayonnaise. "...I guess I'll just skip to the core problem: I saw a Spirit User killing a police."

Alicia quirked an eyebrow at the sight of some of the metallic strands. Now that shook her to the core, given what she’d messed around with not too long ago. That was a thing that could happen!? Or was that just a cause of something about Karin herself? Speaking of, if she wasn’t a Spirit User, why did she have such an anomaly anyways!? Maybe she should take Sol’s warnings a bit more seriously than before.
Still, she was about to answer the question as best as she knew, until Sol pushed her to the side and interrupted her train of thought. Kisara just shook her head, tears gone, as Jeanne hit upon a minor sore spot for the dragon. ”Old!? I’ll have you know most dragons are functionally immortal! So there’s effectively no such thing as an ‘old’ dragon, merely a wise one because of the many years as old implies they can die from something as ignoble as the passage of time! We are strong and driven and can endure through the eons merely growing in power day by day! Why would something as mighty as dragon succumb to nothing less than a climatic fight to the death!?”
The ice maiden then smirked and leaned in, tapping the dragon’s shoulder ”But I thought you didn’t start as a dragon, doesn’t that mean you don’t play by the same rules? And I’m pretty sure age was about to bring you down way back when. Or was that just my imagination?” She smirked as the armored dragon seized up, choking at the mention of that little fact. ”I should know, I agreed to tie my life to yours and as the days dragged on the weight of those many years started to drag us both down.” As if the strings had be cut, Sol slumped over and took a backseat again, conjuring a small storm cloud over his head to really drive home the depression at having his retort picked apart like that. Ever the caring woman, Kisara cuddled with the dragon Spirit and patted him on the shoulder.
And Alicia? She was frankly left with a blank and confused expression at the outburst. “Uh… let’s just write that one off and move on…?” she tried, turning back to Karin still dumbfounded. “A-Anyways… there’s not a whole lot to tell. I think sol still had a fair amount of power unlinked as he had been until I showed up. One day I just started hearing him trying to contact me through a bunch of static and then suddenly I had a D-Scanner in my hand. Which makes me think he managed to have enough physical presence to pass it off to me? He’s been a pretty cool mentor figure of sorts to me, helping me better understand my Digimon forms and the powers they carry while sometimes giving me much needed warnings. I’d be missing an arm if it wasn’t for him one day.”
Alicia sighed softly, before looking at the two. “Kisara on the other hand? She pretty much dragged me out to the tundra when I was ready to start balancing my Spirits out. That’s another thing that I’ve gotten about them. The totems have three distinct paths I can follow, and I can jump from path to path freely, though all of them relate to my core element of Steel. Anyways, she drags me out to the middle of nowhere, knocks me out for a bit so she can chat with Sol, then passes off the Spirit Totem she was looking after before joining up with us permanently. She’s been causing me no end of headaches ever since.”
That was a bit of fudging the details… Karin likely wouldn’t have reacted well if Alicia had admitted she’d been pulled to the tundra via hypnosis all the way from her house in the Real World… In fact aside from her closest friends she never mentioned that fact to anyone.
“I’d like to think I’m a trust-worthy woman…” Alicia shot back, smiling softly. “And I’m willing to provide a ride with my Beast Fraction spirit if you’re so inclined. It’s something I’ve just done a lot recently for my friends.”
Oh, food was involved. That changed things. “I’m alright, I always on the assumption that I’m going to be gone a while.” With that the redhead took a seat and pulled out a sandwich of her own, munching on it. Then Karin cut right to the chase and dropped a bomb on Alicia. The Steel Spirit User coughed and choked a bit before managing to swallow the bite and staring at Karin. “What.” It wasn’t a question, she was simply caught off guard and that was the best she could come up with.

The woman's looks a bit curious about something... oh, these? Karin played with some of her metallic hair strand once again. "These?" she asked in confirmation. "...Well, how to say... we, partnered human and Digimon," she seem to purposely evade to use the term tamer, or it never been in her glossary? Whichever the case, she made a small pause. "...can also merge like how you guys with your spirits. The resulting evolution is level that normally a Digimon cant achieve. The strongest level, see? However, in some case, if you abuses it or uses it for prolonged time without proper break, it will result in something like this, especially because the evolution is like inserting Digimon data on human body... or the reverse, human DNA on Digimon's data. You become one, individuality become none, you are you and your partner. Well, in my case, it can heal over time. It's healing, see?"
Jeanne raised a hand in good humor as the dragon began his rant. She found it absolutely hilarious, but she of course can't tell that to him! However, this Digimon is quite the sadistic one that would love to twist the knife further. "...In my defense, sir, you does sounds both wise and very like an old man. A mentor often acts like that."
"...You did it on purpose, didn't you? You damn sadist."
"Fufufufu~"
Alicia's story started, it sounded so much like the girl gone through a lot, making her felt quite insignificant, yet at the same time grateful that nothing gone that wrong for he---
"Vikalaramon," Jeanne reminded. Karin only could nod in despair as yes, that fight with Deva was truly beyond absurd. Not damaged the slightest, after slashed on the eyes? She only could watch as her partner got attacked more and more? Yeeeah. It was nervewrecking and frustrating. She have had worse, though...
"...So basically, it was a difference between a nice mentor," she pointed at Sol "and the happy go lucky mentor that pulls you to all sort of problem," she pointed at Kisara. "...I think I'm starting to feel for you. I'm sorry that it have to go like that... And I'm really sorry, but riding you would feel---"
she felt like she made a foot on the mouth moment on that comment. "...Let's just say it's morally wrong, OK? At least for me."
Looks like Alicia got her own sandwich, which is good. Karin nodded and start munching on hers, but as expected, the cutting the chase to the main topic made the girl choked and sputtered.
"...Well, this guy was possessed by his spirits. The spirits apparently was... well... batshit insane... One is megalomaniac, one wanted to be complete... another was... vengeful one, made of countless Digimons that seek for revenge for whatever happened to them. I wasn't clear, but... this boy was the ex-boyfriend of my friend slash little sister figure. I thought it was something she could handle until I saw him berserking because he apparently separated from a specific artifact that can control him. It was, needless to say, chaotic. A policeman was killed because he approached him at wrong place, wrong time... if you've been around in Japan for that long, maybe you... read something along of that line? Or maybe DATS covered it up..."

Huh, Tamers and their partners can merge together at some point to? Maaaaybe she should bring that up to Mitsuko and Maia now that she heard it from some who clearly had done it before. That was good information, but seeing it having a side effect on Karin was another worry. What if something similar happened to her friends?
”… You may have the appearance of an angel, but you seem inclined to devilish trickery…” Sol commented simply and concisely, staring at the D’arcmon. What more was there to say about that?
“Yeah pretty much…” Alicia mused, chuckling as Karin summed things up quite nicely. Then the slip up happen and Alicia went bug-eyed doubling over in laughter as the offer was put in a rather… interesting light. “Oh, damnit Karin I never even thought of it like that before! Now I’m never going to get that thought out of my head.” Laughing like crazy, Alicia took another bite of her own meal and grinned like a loon. “Ah… None of ‘em will ever let me live it down if they here that side of things!”
And with that hopefully that particular angle of the subject would be buried away in this labyrinth forever more. And more serious talk was going on. “… Oh dear… I don’t keep up with the news as much as I should so… I didn’t know about that. Maybe DATS did cover it up. Maybe I just didn’t hear of it. But… Oh god…” What more did you say when you heard someone went on a homicidal rampage?
“… Thankfully my powers aren’t at all inclined to run loose like that… and Sol and Kisara let me hold the reigns through thick and thin.” Alicia noted, before holding her arms out. “Hug? Or are you alright without it…? Either way, I’m sorry things went so badly…”

"Fufufufu, I'll take it as a praise, Mister Sol," Jeanne answered, smiling in such angelic way... except there's already mischievous glint on her eyes. Karin meanwhile just blushed really really really red, redder than any apple when Alicia laughed when she made the slip up... Well, how else should she say it! Whichever of that, ecchi or not, is totally wrong for her! She tried to open her mouth, but ended up looking like a fool because she can't even get the image out of her mind! It's just... too much. She pulled her cat bonnet to cover her eyes in shame. Geez! She can't live that down, can she?
Well, luckily the topic changed rather quickly. She was glad, really glad.
"I'm alright without it," she answered curtly. "It's nearly one year since then, the guy's missing, and the girl has moved on with her life. I just hope that she could find her happiness eventually. Well, that's not important, but now I guess you know why I'm wary of spirit users? Well... honestly, the so called Spirit User induced Schizophrenia is the more common one a year ago, and apparently now the trend is people just... have spirits that doesn't talk, but... I can't help but to get a bit paranoid over them, you know. However, there are exceptions... For example... the Sunderland brothers. They're too much of dorks for me to even feel threatened. Another is Asher... whoever his full name is. He's like very new so it's impossible for him to go berserk. So that's two... and with you that's three... I guess its just my paranoia."

The dragon spirit merely answered Jeanne in turn with a groan while Alicia focused on listening in again. Hearing that Karin had more or less come to terms with it, she put her arms back down and sighed softly. “Still… I wish I could’ve done something back then. But at that point I didn’t even know Digimon were a thing that existed.” And what would she have done even if she did know? Oh well…
But then a familiar name come up… “Wait, you know Isaac and Elliot?” Alicia asked in surprise, smirking. “Those two are like little bros to me! And they’ve helped me out of a few binds in the past when I was still getting started. I’ve returned the favor where I can naturally. Pretty sure those two couldn’t hurt a fly if the fly wasn’t causing problems.”
While Alicia seemed to have dropped the slip… there was someone in the area that was not so inclined to do so. ”Aaaaanyways… Kariiiin~” Kisara began in a sickeningly sweet sing song voice and wearing a grin that promised endless teasing. The ice maiden pulled away from Sol and floated up over till she was upside down looking at the Tamer from her right. ”Anything else you want to mention? Like what you were thinking that got you to blurt out something so suggestive?” Really? Was she going there with this!? Alicia lifted her hand, tempted to take a swing at the ice maiden, but she couldn’t really do anything without risking actually hitting Karin and well why would she risk that. So as much as she wanted to go about her normal response to shenanigans, this time she had to relent.

"It's OK," Karin reassured. "I mean, those who have Digimon also pretty much unable to do anything much against a rampaging one in real world. The choice is either deletion or capture. The latter is hard, the former is mentally taxing. Digimons are combat species. Even the smallest Digimon have way to defend themselves, and those who got up the stages are even stronger, until they become predator. I guess that's why when we entered Digital World, it gave us partners and whatnots. To defend ourselves."
She of course seem to be amused that most of the people she met so far know those two. "Are they, like, famous or something?" she asked, chuckling. "I swear last time I met Maia and apparently Isaac is her boyfriend, I met that guy named Asher, Isaac and Elliot is his junior, then here I met you, you also know them! World sure is small... but I guess when it comes to just Shibuya, that's obvious. Anyway, they helped me recuperate after... something rather nasty."
...Of course Karin wasn't expecting that it will be brought up again! She gawked and made a rather awkward noise, trying to form words to no avail. What sort of image---NOOOOOO, KARIN, NO, BAD GIRL KARIN! GOSH, IS THIS KARMA FOR TEASING MANA!? NOOOO, THE IMAGE, THE IMAAAGE!
"I-I SWING BOTH WA--WAIT, NO, THAT'S NOT IMPORTANT! I MEAN, I MEAN, I'M IMAGINING RIDING A GRYPHOMON---Wait that sounds wr--NOOOOOO!!"
"...Welp, she's broken," Jeanne commented, very amused.
