As it turns out, there was actually two Gaomon or Boxing-mon. What surprised Katsura most was seeing that they came in different colors. When they were invited over, Nyao was just about to feeling welcome when Galahad added that they won't bite "much" which seemed to offend her. (Does they plan on hurting Katsura? Fine, if they want to bite her, I bite them.) Nyao thought
This time, Katsura was aware how Nyao would react. Before joining the group she decided to had a brief private talk with Nyao, "What did we talk about? There are threats and there are taunts, at least give them a chance." Katsura whispered. "...Fine..." Nyao returned to act friendly, having no wish to disobey her partner's wishes. And so they walked to the others with Katsura putting her bright friendly smile. It was then, that Katsura got a closer look at the boy. Not that bad looking and seems like he could easily be manipulated too if Katsura felt that way and only slightly older than her. "Hello there!" She bowed polity for the group, "Hello, I am Ise Katsura and this is my partner Nyao." As Owen started addressing her. "Are you new to the digital world as well?" After having been in the digital world for a while, Katsura simply shrugged at the question as an answer.

"Heh heh, always great to see more Gaomons in the world" Owen chuckled at Galahad's enthusiasm. In a way, it was kind of neat making friends with a digimon of his own species. There was a kind of kinship that wasn't as strong with other digimon. Of course, Galahad was a partner digimon so his duty was to his partner, but still, Owen hoped they'd be on good terms through future adventures.
Owen saw that the Salamon seemed to look somewhat startled at Galahad's statement, oh dear. It seemed she might not understand his humour. At least Owen thought it was humour? He hoped so at least. Well, deciding that a distraction was ultimately needed, Owen decided to show an impromptu display of agility. And what better way to show off his prowess to what appeared to be two further newcomers?
"Oho, well if you are new, you've come to just the right tutor!" Owen declared, performing what he hoped was a ninja-like backflip and cartwheel, landing on a nearby log in what he had hoped was an awesome display.
"Owen the Gaomon at your service!" he said. "Any questions and/or training you two need to know and I'd be happy to assist you in any- WHOA!"
A second too late, Owen realized the log was precariously balanced over the bank of the lake they were nearby. And moments later the log abruptly tipped over, sending him into the water with a splash.
Immensely embarrassed, Owen kind of wanted to pretend that never happened and just stay there, but, ultimately he had to breathe and so climbed back out once hopefully the moment had ended. He shook the water off and assumed a confident sort of stance.
"So anyway!" he said, loudly, looking significantly less dashing with wet fur. "Any questions?!"

Duncan grabs Galahad by his ear and twists it, making Galahad yelp.
"Be nice. That's not how we treat ladies" Duncan says, releasing Galahad and turning his attention to the girl. "Names Duncan. This rude guy is my partner Galahad. Nice to meet you."
It's about that time Owen falls into the water. Duncan conceals a smile with his hand while Galahad just laughs openly. After a couple seconds Galahad pats Owen on his shoulder.
"Don't think you were ment to be a ninja my friend. Perhaps you should leave the acrobatics to someone else?"

Nyao was calming down again, if the instant reprimand of Galahad didn't visibly do the trick, seeing Own falling in the river certainly did. The latter even caused Nyao to let out a small giggle at the expense of Owen. Blunt as Katsura is with questionable social demeanor, she couldn't hold back her thoughts when Owen asked for questions: "Was that jump intentional?" The more socialized salamon on the other hand, was rather intrigued about the idea of training. "Did you say.. Training?" Following the introduction, Katsura turned her attention to Duncan. "Nice to meet you too. Sorry about what happen back then, Nyao does not take insults to me well" Nyao jumped down from Katsura while firmly telling Katsura back. "I'm trying to protect you from danger." Katsura faked a giggle as she assumed that Nyao was being overprotective and it had to be laughed off. "I know you do. But I can take a joke once in a while." Nyao rolled her eyes at Katsura for a moment. (Bullying is not something you should get used to) Nyao thought. With the introductions done, Katsura decided to move along the conversation the best she could. "Soo what are you guys doing?"

Owen flinched as he saw Duncan twist Galahad's ear. That wasn't a very nice thing to do to a digimon partner, in his opinion. But then again, he supposed that partner digimon thought differently to independent digimon like him, so it wasn't his business. However if Duncan asked him, he'd say that wasn't a very good thing to do to his protector and guardian.
"One of these days I'll get it right, don't you worry!" he said later to Galahad. Someday he'd be a very impressive and dashing digimon that would draw awe and admiration wherever he appeared. He hoped to reach this stage through being nice to newbies in the meantime however.
Owen gave a dorky sort of grin to Katsura. "Well... the first half was, just something went wrong in the second part" he said. "Like, uh... gravity".
Nyao provided an excellent turn of topic. "Yes, training! Why, young Galahad here is the second digimon that I've successfully helped in allowing them to evolve from in-training to Rookie!" he boasted, puffing his sodden white chest out. "That's what we were doing just now" he finished, deciding that would answer Katsura's later question.

Duncan grins and wraps his arm around Galahad's shoulders, shaking him a little.
"We're fresh off the boat, so to speak. Owen here was the first per.." He trails off and glances at Owen. "Digimon that we've met.." He rubs Galahad's ear that he twisted as if to say sorry.
Galahad yawns and flops down next to a tree. "And yea, Owen helped me Digivolve. He's a good Gaomon. I bet he has a lot to offer."
Duncan nods toward Galahad and then turns his attention to the other human. "How long have you been here? How did you get here? The river? Or the train station? Or are there other places too?"

The thought of getting to train really did rise Nyao's interest. The way Nyao saw the situation; the stronger Nyao becomes the easier it would be to keep Katsura safe. "Sounds interesting, maybe we should train then?" "Nyao, are sure?" "Yeah, I could use some more training." It help Katsura relax about the situation to hear that other digimon in fact recommended him as a trainer. When other digimon willingly trained and Nyao wasn't suspicious, well at least not about the digimon who offered them training, then he couldn't be all that dangerous. Still Katsura was uncomfortable about the idea of Nyao getting hurt and tried to send her a look. But the look was met with a pleading smile and Katsura had still not learned to say 'no' to Nyao's pleading eyes. Katsura shrugged in defeat realizing that Nyao had the strongest will in this argument. Nyao returned to look at Owen waiting for his response, while Katsura took the time to talk with Duncan.
It appeared that Owen had just arrived to the digital world which didn't surprise her that much anymore. Regarding the questions about how and when Katsura arrived in the digital world that made her relive som rather bad memories that she wasn't comfortable to share.
Still, Katsura knew better than express such reactions and pretended that she was happy about his interest. Something Katsura could do well after years of experience.
"We came through the river a few weeks ago. We have been here ever since."

Owen gave a smirk and a chuckle as his efforts were praised by Galahad and Duncan. "It's perfectly fine! Galahad did most of the work, I just helped him find his mojo so to say".
He was delighted when Nyao said she wouldn't mind training. Owen rubbed his paws, eager to get started. "Okay then! First of all, I've gotta know where to start from, so, what's your experience so far? Have you been in any kind of combat yet?" he asked, wondering if he was helping out a beginner or a veteran.
Owen's sensitive beast ears overheard the conversation that was happening. He tilted his head curiously. "Wait, so, most humans come here by jumping into a river?" he asked, finding that rather odd. But, clearly they'd have to know something about it, otherwise they wouldn't do so so hastily.
Regardless, Owen hoped there was more he could help Nyao and Galahad with. While since they were both rookies it would probably be against his interests in terms of his own health to continue letting others attack him, but, maybe he could help them refine their attacks and come up with battle tactics?

Duncan chuckles quietly after Owen's comment about the river.
"It appears that way my friend. I guess we are all crazy enough to just jump into the river and see what's down the rabbit hole." Duncan flops down next to Galahad, who had drifted off to sleep in the midst of the conversation.
"You've been here for weeks? What about your family at home?" He leans his head back against the tree. "Granted if they're anything like mine they wouldn't miss you at all.."

Duncan's ability to push Katsura's buttons had so far no limits. Still discussing her family, an otherwise normal question was about the last thing she was comfortable sharing with anyone aside from Nyao. "My family at home? Emm... Umm" Nyao instantly realized what was going on. To help Katsura dodge the question, Nyao decided that now was the best time for some exposition about the digital world. "In the digital world, time is much slower than in the real world. I bet we have been away roughly an hour or two by now in human time." Katsura didn't wish to end up having to reveal more of her past than absolutely necessary, so rather than dwelling with the implications of the time-skip. So Katsura rolled with Nyao's explanation by nodding as if it was a fact she had always known.
Supposedly out of nowhere and totally not to stir the subject away from her family, Katsura was getting interested in the talk with Owen. Once Owen asked about former experience with fighting, out of reflex Katsura pulled her sleeves down hiding as much arm as she possibility could as well as adjusting her skirt. "I might have..." Katsura said, briefly breaking the eye-contact by turning her pupils away from Owen "some experience." Then Katsura returned to look at Owen for the sake of being polite. "I do know how to fight now." Nyao claimed as she looked at Owen.

Owen raised an eyebrow as Galahad seemed to fall asleep suddenly. Surely simply digivolving wouldn't make him that tired? Oh well. Maybe some digimon adjusted to things differently.
"Hmm. I guess we can help you get acquainted with the digital world if you'd like that too" Owen said to Duncan. "For instance, do you know about the Trailmon network? That's the main form of transport here".
It seemed that these humans too had families on Earth. "Well... from what I hear, the Trailmon can take you back to Earth at any time too" he said. "I guess you're not exactly stuck here, but, now that you're here, might as well make the most of it eh? I hear it's kind of a big deal for you humans to be on another world".
Then on the question of combat experience, Owen noticed some odd movements from Katsura. She seemed evasive on the subject, leading him to think something bad might happen. But instead he focused on Nyao's more clear answer.
"Okay then, so no combat experience" he said, nodding, pacing around a little as he thought, and also because moving made his wet fur dry a little faster, so he hoped. "Well then. What kind of attacks do you know? I'm guessing... one of them is howling?" Owen took a look at the sleeping Galahad. Well, he wouldn't get much more sleep if they started practicing. "What about defensive abilities? I hear that digimon like you can heal sometimes, right?"

Duncan nudges Galahad back a wake and motions toward Owen. "He's talking to us. Try and stay awake." He turns his attention to Owen. "Sorry. Neither one of us has had much sleep since meeting."
He listens to the explanation of the Trailmon and then nods.
"So, these Trailmon will take us anywhere? That's neat." He has started to avoid the girl, fearing that he had touched a sensitive subject.
Galahad hops to his feet and does one of those real big yawning stretches. "Yea, sorry..but I'm good now." He bounces on his feet, much like a human boxer would do while warming up.

When Owen mentioned howling as a move in the same context as defensive moves, Nyao was almost bursting laughing. Even Katsura had to clear her throat before her composure returned. While the other questions might have made Katsura reluctant to answer because of the subject being uncomfortable, this particular question by contrast seemed to embarrass the duo in a harmless way. At the very least, this could easily be interpreted as them holding back the punchline of an inside-joke. The implication that the move should be used to wake up Galahad seemed to make the situation worse in a way that probably would make more sense for everyone else if Katsura or Nyao were more explicit. "I guess you can say that!" "Understatement of the year" Katsura muttered sheepishly.

Owen turned his attention to Duncan and Galahad after the former woke up his partner from his brief nap. "Ah, that's okay. But really, in the digital world, you should make sure that you're in a safe place before going to sleep".
A piece of advice Owen had learned the hard way. Yes, it was wonderful going to sleep under the branches of a tall tree... not so much when he awoke to a swarm of angry FanBeemons. The Gaomon was surprised the swelling of the resulting stings had since faded.
"Yeah, the Trailmons will take you pretty much anywhere, although some are stingier about tickets and fares than others" he said as a warning. "But, well, if you're nice to them, you should get by".
Owen was then a little confused as Nyao burst out laughing after he suggested what kind of moves she would be skilled at. However, he didn't let that little fact turn him away. "Oh come on, you can't expect me to believe that you have no attacks whatsoever" he said. "At the very least, can you try to show off what you can do? Maybe aim at that tree stump there?" he asked both Nyao and Galahad, hoping they had some sort of ability that would be worthy of a Rookie level. If not, well, Owen supposed he'd just have to teach them a technique.

Duncan smiles and nods. "Sounds good, Owen. Thanks for all the info."
Galahad bares his teeth in a grin. "I'll see what I can do." He says, planting his feet. "Hyper Haymaker!" He shouts and dashes forward. As nears thr stump he twists his body at the waist and uses his speed and all of the power generated by his hips, back, shoulders, and arm to generate a massive punch. As his fist travels through the air, ripples of air can be seen coming off it. The Haymaker lands and fully half of the stump explodes.
Smirking, Galahad returns to Duncan's side. "I can get used to having arms."
"Good work Galahad!" Duncan says with a big smile on his face.
