Avalon Fields
So Heaven was real. The Empyrean Skies were anyway, which was probably the closest thing to the real thing anybody would get before you know, they kicked the bucket. If you were one to believe in that sort of thing. The Skies lived up to the utopian description of the land Vira received from word of mouth, rumors spoken by rusted and broken travelers drunk on their sorrows and cheap gin. These Digimon sure liked to talk, and she was using it to her advantage to the fullest extent. It was more like a floating island than anything else; digital clouds that were more than likely programmed to do so concealed the main base of the holy place, bringing mystery to whatever mechanization or divination was actually allowing this mass of land to openly defy the scientific law of gravity. It was of course a beautiful sight, but the tamer had grown tired of basking in this world's beauty, only a fool would waste time gallivanting around for the mere sake of adventure and good times.
No, this wasn't a field trip and Vira wasn't a sightseer. She was the vanguard to her own invasion, though this was not a reckless destructive rampage. The idea of getting to this island in the sky was simple: her Digimon could levitate through psychic fields, he could essentially fly. And with that, he was more than large enough to carry her on his back in Ultimate form, the spider-like tank which was slowly becoming his default form. The evolution made him feel larger than others, more powerful than them, able to destroy them if they made him angry or displeased him, and best of all, he felt his soul, he felt true confidence. Or at least, he believed that was what this was. Looking up at the floating mechanization the girl grinned, bearing her fangs with confident thoughts. It would be a new world soon, maybe not today, and maybe not tomorrow, but soon. Everything would change, not many will like it, but it's for their best in the long run. Sometimes people just didn't know what was best for themselves.
"Okay, let's do this." The teenager said, taking a deep breath and jumping onto the lowered back of her Digimon, grabbing one of his protruding spines for grip. The telekinetic communication always felt a little weird when just the two of them were alone, so she tried to just talk out loud in those situations. "This is honestly kind of a risk, you could always de-digivolve mid-flight or something, you never know with you. You didn't win the award for "strongest willpower," you know." The hacker's other hand grasped the spike, giving her a fairly confident hold on her "ride." The Infermon sighed, standing up to it's full height after he felt his tamer climb onto his back. Her insults and belitting was becoming common conversation, and it was to say the least that the spider-tank was getting a little more than used to the whole deal. There was no point in defying it or arguing with it, and besides, going against commands was absolutely despicable. Only the lowest of peasant Digimon would go as far to rebel against their Tamers; feral swine, the lot of them. "I don't know if my mental fields are fully capable of holding your tremendous weight, commander." The teenager slapped the side of her partner's shell, making a loud and hollow thunk noise.
"That was a joke." The Eldritch abomination responded to the action, despite he didn't so much as feel the petty hit. "I guess that was pretty good, but you should try using true facts next time, like how you mate with male Digimon." The spidery girl spoke with harsh words, empathizing the last few words of her sentence to give it a knife-like sound. Obviously a bit rustled by that statement, the unidentified Digimon suddenly and without warning launched itself into the air with a powerful jump, then stabilized himself using his will alone. The six legs of the abomination retracted into it's body, effectively switching stances to "fortress mode." As conversation made it difficult to keep the fields up, the remainder of the journey would be a silent one.
The closer they got, the brighter the light got. Vira's already damaged eyes had trouble adjusting to such high levels of brightness, but there was more to it than just that. This light was different from the sun or either world, different from any artificial light she had experienced in any facility, this light was simply that: light. It didn't seem to have a source, it was just there, it was pure, it was euphoric. The human felt as if she had just taken a hit of a cigarette from a stripper behind the club; the lights became colorful, her Digimon became vivid, and the world just became so glorious. Lines were starting to become curves and soon the world was rainbows. "What the hell is...this?" Somehow Otto was resilient to these effects, in fact, his focus seemed stronger than ever. With his glitched mind, whatever was going on probably had a reverse effect on him, at least that's what the tamer figured at this point.
Still. What was this? Some sort of defense mechanism? Vira refrained from looking directly at the light any longer, deeming it to cause ill effects on her brain for whatever reason. She only opened her eyes when she felt the light ease up, and when she did, she was greeting with a beautiful sight. Rolling gardens of green, golden trees, red apples, little happy angel Digimon, yeah, that was everything that was described in the stories. The Infermon landed nearly on top of two Marineangemon, who quickly scattered away to continue their childlike glee elsewhere. It wasn't often the land of angels got visitors, and the tamer and her corrupted Digimon would probably get more than just a few looks. She didn't care, though, she wasn't here to cause trouble. At least, not this time.
The Hakainushi commander's arm reached out towards one of the bright apples, snatching it off of a branch with a mechanical precision. Her fangs sunk into the juicy red orb moments after, only for her to quickly throw it down after the single bite. "Hm. I always thought the forbidden fruit would have a bit more zest."
