Drake sat down by the campfire, letting out a heavy sigh. It had been a long day searching through the Valley of Dragons for this supposed Digimental. He was beginning to think someone had given him misinformation. Maybe they even had a trap awaiting him. Who could know? He began to recall the man at the alley. As he returned home for the night, a strange Digimon approached him and gave him a sheet of paper. Before he could ask about its origins, the man was already gone. The paper was a strange map, specifically of the Valley Dragons. The map was made of very old scroll paper, with the markings in charcoal. Very strange indeed. Suddenly, darkness enclosed around him. The sun had finally set completely behind the great cliffs surrounding him. He took this as a sign that it was a time to wind down. As the fire dimmed, he lie down on his mat of straw and other materials, falling into the dark clutches of sleep.

As Drake awoke the next morning, he felt refreshed from his night's sleep. He had slept a lot better than he had expected to in this harsh environment; he wasn't complaining, though. It was good that his reflexes were sharp in the event he was attacked. The day was still long after that. The path to the 'X' on the map was identical to the existing trail, so he was able to very quickly make progress toward his unknown goal. Eventually, he reached a pair of bridges. Under both were a Tsukaimon. They quickly identified Drake and gave a word of warning. "Be wary, traveler. These are the Bridges of Trials. We will both give you a question. If you answer correctly, you may pass. If not, well..." The Tsukaimon both nodded downward. As Drake looked downward, all he could see were the jagged rocks peeking out of the water's surface below. "Your question is this. Which of these is a category of Digimon?" "The left bridge is for Machine. The right bridge is for Unknown. Choose wisely," the other Tsukaimon spoke. Well, this was easy. The answer was definitely Machine. He quickly ran across the left bridge, making it to the other side without incident. "Well done, traveler. You may pass. No need to speak, we already know where you are going." Drake quickly ran away to avoid further incident. Finally, he reached a large stone door. It had clearly been there for some time; its features beginning to wear down from the sands of time. He quickly pushed the door open and made his way into the ruins.

The walls of the ruins were covered in ancient runes that he could not decipher. They were below engraved pictures of ancient Digimon fighting one another. The runes were very strange, with some even depicting a strange egg-shaped object. As he neared the end of the ruins, he found a pedestal with the egg on it. Maybe this was the Digimental that he had been looking for all this time. Quickly, he ran forward and grabbed it. Upon doing so, a light began to enshroud him and the Digimental. Pure information began to flow through him as he learned of the name of this object, the Digimental of Courage. It slowly absorbed into him as he stood and learned all there was to learn from the mystical object. In the middle of the absorbtion, two strange Digimon floundered into the ruins. Both were Chuumon, though their purpose for being there was unknown to Drake. As the absorbtion finished, they finally spoke. "Thanks for warming up that egg for us, bub. Now if you'll just hand it over nice and easy we won't have any problems here. If you haven't noticed, well, you're outnumbered." Drake glanced at the two Digimon that lay before him. They had been following him all this time. Now he needed to teach them a lesson in dignity. "BlackAgumon, Armor Digivolve!" A light suddenly began to shine from the once dark Digimon. Slowly, he grew in size until he almost filled the room entirely. His skin began to turn blue as his face began to elongate and his fangs grow. Native wear also began to appear around his body. "BlackAgumon, Armor Digivolve to Allomon X!" Suddenly, the once small dinosaur was now a massive powerhouse of destruction. The two Chuumon that stood before him were trembling in his presence. He opened his massive mouth to speak. "Now's the part where you run," he whispered. Suddenly, the two Digimon ran outside the ruins, but not before triggering a trap that had gone untriggered by both parties upon entering the ruins. The ruins were now filling with sand and water at an alarming rate, with the door being shut completely. As fast as he could, Allomon burst through the walls to the outside, barely saving his life. The destruction felt good, like nothing he had ever felt before. Suddenly, he lost control, letting out an uncontrollable roar before charging toward the small village nearby.

Standing on the cliff above the village, Drake began to hunger for more destruction. No longer did his mind control the massive body he hulked around, now it was a manifestation of pure instinct and rage. He hungered to feel the building crumble beneath him. Eventually, he ran down the mountain toward the city, roaring the entire way down. He had every intention of removing this village off of the face of the Digital World. So many Rookie Digimon inhabited it with no Champions or higher in sight. This was good. Nearing the village, he began to see some Digimon awaken from within their houses. They had noticed him quite early considering he was coming so quickly and quietly. They also were coming out of their houses and bracing for his attack. It was strange. The village was right next to him now. Absolutely nothing was in his way; nothing could stop him from crushing the village. All except for the Digimon that stood before him. A strange Digimon that stood tall and looked like a lion was stationed before him. He brandished a sword that was extremely powerful, and a glare that could break through even the largest of armies. After an intense stare-down, the Digimon spoke to Drake. "I am Leon, the protector of this village. I sense your intent to destroy this place, but, as you can probably understand, I can not let that happen. You have one chance to turn back and leave with a shred of dignity. Take it now, or face the consequences." Drake only stood, his mind completely blanked out with the thought of destruction. "Suit yourself!" he yelled as he charged forward with his sword.

The Leomon came forward and sliced at the large dinosaur with his colossal blade. He hit him directly in the chest, causing a large gash to form across his once plain, blue chest. The beast, in response, leaned back, letting out a roar before biting into the creature that stood before it. Drake's teeth latched on to the Leomon, allowing him to get his barings before letting out a shout. "HARD BLUE FLAME!" he shouted as a strange, blue fire shot from his mouth, into the anthropomorphic lion's arm. In response, he simply scoffed. He knew that he had won this match before it had even begun. "Beast Sword!" he shouted as he drove the sword into the beast's chest. Drake had nothing left to respond with, this last hit taking everything he had and throwing it away. Nothing was left now as he faded away into data, all except for a small pink blob of a Digimon, scuffed from the fight it had previously been in. The Leomon very quickly picked it up by its ears and slung it over its shoulder. He would dispose of this attacker before he could wake up and cause anymore damage to the village he loved. As Leomon neared his cave, Drake finally woke from his fainting. The lion had walked a great distance from the city, now being in a forest that he couldn't name. His time was almost up. Right before they entered the cave, the Leomon pulled Drake in front of him to view him. He had previously felt something was off about the rampaging Digimon, but seeing it in the state it was now confirmed his suspicions. The tiny In-Training Digimon in his hands was trembling, hoping that its life would be spared. After thinking briefly, Leomon let the Digimon go before walking back into his cave. In Drake's eyes, though, this action of kindness could not go unrewarded. He hopped after the Digimon into the cave before letting out a small, but powerful statement. "Thank you, Leomon," he said. "No problem, now get out before I actually make a meal out've ya!" Drake ran out of the cave, giggling the entire time. Never before had he been so close to this experience called death.
