How to Make a Bad Day Worse (Tadashi)

"Don't worry, it's totally s-safe," Tadashi reassures her, "I use D-DarkTrailmon to get around all the time," He raises his voice a little, "Alright, D-DarkTrailmon, head out to the west, yeah? We'll let you know when w-we're getting close," The train starts to smoothly and quietly move forwards, generating rails ahead of it and dispersing them after it passes over them. "D-don't worry, you're not going to d-drown, we'll find somewhere to st-stand while Shawjamon takes a look around underwater. I can't r-really swim very wel...or at all, reallyl, so, uh," he grins and shrugs, "D-don't worry, it'll be fine. My g-guys'll make sure we're safe, they're good at that,"Now that they're on the way, he realizes just how young the girl is. Boy, her parents must be worried. "How l-long've you been stuck here, then? I kn-know this is a pretty intimidating place without a p-partner Digimon," Although he'd only wandered around for an hour or so before meeting Flamemon.

Alice frowned at the concept of safe and Digimon. Most things she sees, people would use to travel around, and nine times out of ten, they try to eat her. So hopefully this wasn't one of the nine. She clung to her seat and nodded to Tadashi, "Hopefully, this works out well and nothing bad happens... Like more sea monsters..."
Alice looked around within the train as Tadashi reassured her that drowning wasn't going to be an issue. Noting that it did look pretty safe from the inside, maybe they would survive this. She wasn't convinced that she wouldn't get jumped by a sea monster, but she was sure to at least have a place to hide from said sea monster, "Hopefully we don't have to get in then... At all."
She began counting in her head how long she's been here, "Only a few hours this time... Not too long... According to Timothy. This place is terrifying without any means of protection, every time I feel safe for a moment, something else attacks me or if I get irritated I accidentally kick the tail of a sea monster..."

"D-Don't worry! We'll protect you from any sea monsters," Tadashi reassures her, "S-some of them are friendly, anyway. You just need to know how to t-talk to them," The train continues to move along steadily and silently as they talk.
"I wouldn't w-worry about it. If we do have to g-go down, I'm pretty sure DarkTrailmon's airtight," Close enough, anyway. He sighs and reclines in the comfortable leather seat, "Plus he's g-got lasers," Sure. "A few hours isn't too bad. Y-you definitely shouldn't be walking around here by yourself, though. You're right, it can get p-pretty dangerous, Alice,"
He pauses, and frowns at the mention of someone else. She knows another human who knows about Digimon? Why hasn't he tried to help her? "Who's Timothy?"

Alice nods a little, self aware about how bad her luck is here by now. She knew something was gonna drop them in, some... Unnatural force of will seemed to be constantly out to torture her. Maybe she would eventually escape the torture known as her luck when she gets this Digimon. She simply said, "Hopefully..."
Obviously, her self-esteem took a bullet within the past few hours and she was still shaking a lot, though she was dry now. The reassurement of DarkTrailmon being airtight helped a bit, and the lasers made her chuckle as well, might be silly to bear witness to, "Not like I meant to run around lost for a few hours, I just didn't want to be in the same place as all the stuff out for my head."
The last question was going to be a bit awkward when she answered, due to many circumstances. She looked down at the floor and glanced around, "He's... My big brother. He went out today to climb some frozen mountain or something and I wasn't willing to follow him into this world, then it threw me into the plains a little while later." That all sounded crazy to her still... Her brother didn't look like he'd ever climb a mountain.

"That's reasonable. Hopefully we'll f-find your partner, and they'll be able to p-protect you from all the dangerous stuff. If not, I can try to g-get you back home again via Terminus City," Tadashi looks over and checks Alice's Digivice screen again. They're making good progress. In fact DarkTrailmon has started laying track and moving over the water without him even noticing.
Man, this is the best way to travel.
...Sure as heck beats monsterous caterpillars with lipstick.
"Your big brother, huh? ...Is he c-cute?" Tadashi grins, unable to help himself. That's inappropriate, young man! She's only a little girl! Then again, you dragged her onto a demon train to look at the bottom of the ocean for her own pet monster. Hm. "Well. If we c-can't find your partner, we can t-try and find this 'Timothy' and at least you'll be safe with s-someone you know, right?"

Alice nodded to Tadashi again, though she was mostly looking out at the waters, thinking they were somewhat neat of a sight. She would love to go back home, but she realized that they'd just send her back here in due time. That accursed writer doesn't know when to stop torturing her. She calmly said, "If I get sent back home, it's just gonna send me back here again... Let's just get this over with." As she said that, a shiver was subtly going down her spine.
She didn't really know what to say for his second question, so she just winged it, "I guess... I don't know... I just 'borrow' his stuff from his room and cause problems for him because I can..." That was the best answer she could muster up for the question.

"I guess I'll f-find out for myself, hm? Makes sense to t-take you to him either way after we're done here. That way you're w-with someone you know," Stranger danger, after all. She's only a young girl, it must be awkward to have to deal with an older boy you've never met, even in such a perilous situation.
The train comes to a slow halt, and Tadashi raises his Xros Loader again, "Reload: R-Ranamon,". With a brilliant flash of light, another Digimon materializes. This one is around Alice's height, and looks like a young girl with some mermaid-like features. She giggles and waves at Alice, before offering Tadashi an exaggerated salute.
"Alright, were you l-listening in there? We're heading down to look for something, and we obviously can't open D-DarkTrailmon's doors out there. You're much faster underwater than us, anyway. C-Can you keep your eyes open for us?"
The girl salutes again and walks to the door before opening it and jumping out. She enters the water so perfectly that there's no audible splash. The door slides closed a few moments later and the train begins moving again, gently descending into the water as it drives itself around in slow, wide circles. The water rises past the windows and, true to Tadashi's word, DarkTrailmon is apparently airtight and pressurized. Convenient. And weird. For a train.
"We should have plenty of air in here to last us a l-little while. Let's see what we can find,"

Alice decided to stop thinking about what Tadashi had asked and just focused on what he did next. He unloads Ranamon and Alice lights up. It was so cute looking! And it didn't look like a predator, or a sea serpent, it looked happy! This had to be the best Digimon ever! She waved back at the thing and it's salute to Tadashi only made her like it even more! All she could logically say was, "I... Really like that thing. It didn't terrify me as a first impression."
She let out a sigh of relief at the sound of lots of air, that meant drowning wasn't a huge issue. As they descended closer and closer to the floor, Alice's Digivice would start beeping. They must've been closing in on it, which was good. Once they reached the sea floor, it would just be a matter of spotting the egg, being incubated next to a hydrothermal vent. It was clearly still alive down here, though it had many red and white properties that didn't fit any sea-living Digimon.

Y'know. Apart from MegaSeadramon. ...Cough.
DarkTrailmon comes to a halt a little ways above the bottom, and Tadashi stands up to peer out of the windows. "Huh. I don't see a-anything," he comments quietly, waiting for some sign of Ranamon. "Ranamon? Sh-she's a sweetheart, just a little demanding sometimes. She acts l-like she's a princess. But he's pretty friendly. Most of my t-team are,"
Ranamon returns almost ten minutes later clutching a large red and white egg in her hands. She knocks on the window and then points up, before swimming up out of sight. "Alright. L-let's go see what she found," That's all DarkTrailmon needs to hear. It starts to move forwards again, slowly spiralling upwards until it finally breaks the surface and comes to a halt again.
Tadashi opens the door and takes the egg from Ranamon, who climbs aboard and sits down just inside the doorway while she drips herself dry. Tadashi walks over and sets the egg on the table nearest to Alice. "I c-can't promise it'll help with your bad luck, but it sh-should stop you from being dragged here against your will so much,"

Alice smiled at the idea of a Digimon acting like a princess. That left some funny images in her head. They were all immature in a COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE way, "She sounds funny..."
Shortly thereafter, Ranamon returns and swims up with a big egg, "Digi-eggs are huge..." She sat down and watched them slowly rise to the surface, then sit there, floating. Once Ranamon started drying herself off, Alice said, "Thanks! That was really cool."
Alice picked up the egg and turned it a few times, trying to get an idea of what would be in it. She was very careful, surprising trait for someone her age. Eventually setting it down, stumped, "What do I do with it? Do I just wait or do I do something specific to speed up the waiting?" Little did she know, it was shaking a little, and busy trying to hatch.

Ranamon just smiles and waves again, yawning and dozing off in the doorway.
Tadashi drops back into his seat, allowing the gentle breeze to blow through the open door while they talk, "Just k-keep it close to you. I've never had to look after an egg before, myself. But I gather it's l-l-like a chicken egg. Keep it warm, keep it c-close,"
Seems sensible enough, anyway. He feels a minor sense of accomplishment in having helped someone else get their partner. And hey. Maybe he's stopped the girl getting dragged here against her will. Good deeds have been done for today! Let's see what karma rewards you with!
"You said your b-brother was going to climb some frozen mountains? I have some ideas about wh-where he might be. Did he say wh-where abouts, exactly? Or di you h-have a way to contact him?" Cellphones don't work here, after all. Maybe she has one of those little Terminal things he's seen people with. Or maybe she's secretly a witch.

Alice set the egg on her lap and began using it as a headrest. He was trying to keep it warm by essentially wrapping around it. She had no clue if this was even helping, just hoping it was, "I'm doing this right... Right?"
Now that she has an egg, hopefully nothing drags her around anymore. That stuff is very much miserable. Good deeds have in fact been done, and the reward was none of Alice's bad luck spreading to them.
Alice nodded to Tadashi and said, "Yeah. He was out for some weird thingie or something, but no, I don't have any way to contact him. I don't have a phone or anything yet." Maybe Alice should become a witch, all life problems would be solved then.

They would. Witchcraft solves everything. "Alright. It's probably g-going to be easier to take you back to Terminus, then. We can g-get you on a train that'll take you back to the Sh-Shibuya Train Terminal. Do you know how to get h-home from there? It's not far, is it?"
He doesn't want to think about a young girl trying to navigate the city by herself. It can be pretty dangerous, sometimes.
DarkTrailmon's door closes and the train accelerates away, quickly leaving the water behind and crossing the beach, heading into the forest. There's barely enough space for the train in here, but DarkTrailmon seems to be doing pretty well for himself.
"I'll g-give you my number before I s-see you off. It's not anything skeevy, don't worry. Just in case you have any more problems with your egg or anything r-right? I've kind of t-taken it upon myself to help people in need," D'aww. Kinda.
The train begins to ascend, pushing through the treetops and beginning to drive across the sky. Good. This is nice an inexplicable. Tadashi doesn't seem concerned though. Maybe this is normal for him.

Alice gave Tadashi an innocently guilty wmile as he asked if she knew the city. She had been running around it all her life, causing mischief for random people. She only said, "I know my way around..."
She clings to her seat as she feels the DarkTrailmon lift off the ground. She looks around down below, "Woah... That's high..."
She then turnes back to Tadashi, hearing out his next lines, it was really nice if him, "Thank you, I'll be sure to keep in touch."

Tadashi nods, taking her word for it. He probably should see her at least part-way home, but he still has to check out the signal that brought him out towards the beach in the first place. "Alright,"
And with that, DarkTrailmon begins its slow descent, only minutes after having begun its completely nonsensical airborne adventure. As it descends, it becomes clear that it's entered a city of some kind, and has swapped onto actual train tracks now, rather than its own. There's a quiet squeal as the brakes are applied and the train stops, just in side of the station.
"Please d-do. I'd like to h-hear how you and your partner g-get along, anyway," The boy stands up and moves to exit the carriage, waiting for Alice outside and pointing at another Trailmon at a platform not too far away, "That guy over there? H-he'll take you right back to the human world,"
He's not really sure what to say or do beyond that. It's really all the help he can offer her.
