The Fruits of Life [Mission]

Well, wasn't this a fine morning? Clear blue skies hung above the emerald leaves of Server Woods, a soft breeze bringing a calm ripple through the foliage. Of course, just a stones throw away lied the foreign, dark, dangerous depths of the forest, but the view from the outside made the setting seem quite calm.
"My, we got a beautiful day for this, Witchmon." With a smile, a Gatomon stretched out, one arm pulled towards the sky to warm up for the task at hand. A holy, golden ring dangled from the edge of her tail; apart from this, her only defining trait was a cloth band wrapped around her arm, near the shoulder, with the emblem of a green cross on it. "Hm... how soon will it be before that flies by?"
"Oh, soon enough, Anita." Just a few feet away, sitting on her broom, the Witchmon flicked her eyes to the sky. In this case, it was very important that their hired hands showed up on time, so they wouldn't miss their window of opportunity to take the trip... which is why they had set up for this meeting to start a good twenty minutes before that window. And just in case, both the Witchmon and the Gatomon had been there a full hour before that!
Though, to anyone just looking at the two, it would appear that this was just going to be a simple expedition into the woods, if not for one thing: behind the Witchmon was a peculiar vessel:a large capsule made of a rough, fine wood, with enough seating inside for the group, and two round, glass windows on either side of the ship. Honestly, the whole thing looked a bit ridiculous: it looked like a large escape pod, made of out lumber! Every time the Gatomon looked over at it, she couldn't help but roll her eyes... though the sorceress didn't seem quite bothered by it.
"Alright... it should be about time for the first ones to roll by... Marshal North @satsuki Manami Vianna

How had Marshal and Coronamon heard about this? Several connections found their way around to Maia, who was busy or something. Of course, after a while she managed to contact Marshal and told him about this mission.
The pair made their way though the woods and came upon a Witchmon and a Gatomon standing near a strange-looking ship. "Well, this looks about right," he muttered to himself.
"Hello!" Coronamon greeted the two other Digimon they were approaching. "Are you Anita and Witchmon?"

Just to make sure, Yuu's a mute. Dialogue between [""] are signs in JSL.
Today was a great day in the woods; perfect walk around the forest and to do some chores for others! Wait... what? "Why are we going on a mission, Yuu? I thought you were on that jazz of being independent and being the employer instead of the employee. What happened?" As they walked, Kyo couldn't resist the urge to ask that question. She had a pretty good guess on why they were doing this, but maybe her partner had another reason? It didn't hurt to try, certainly. The blonde just shrugged. ["Sometimes, helping others ain't that bad, Kyo. This one seemed to be for a rather good cause, and the reward seems to be decent enough for our troubles, so..."] While the arguments presented by her partner were rather solid, the Plotmon knew way better just as she looked at Yuu's expression. She wouldn't be fooled that easily! "You're just looking for a reason to avoid the paperwork and not get Haru mad at you at the same time, aren't you? That's clever!"What she could say. Kyo knew her all too well. ["Well, yes. I needed a breather. And maybe some action, if this small endeavor lends itself to it. I'm betting you're itching to do something too. After all, we've been through."] Of course, the answer the teenager would get would be a nod. Kyo wasn't the type to stand idly for prolonged amounts of time, doing nothing. However, managing a corporation of sorts that steadily grew had the unfortunate side effect of humongous amounts of just that. This was undoubtedly a pretty awesome change of pace! At the distance, the pair could already see the visages of what it looked to be their supposed contractors. Seemingly, they had arrived early, given that the other beings Kyo noticed nearby were no more and no less than... Marshal and Coronamon. What a strange surprise. "Heelloooo~!" The Plotmon greeted cheerily as they approached the scene. "We're here for the job! Hope we ain't too late for it!" Eventually, they'd reach the foursome, Yuu waving at them as a greeting.

Vianna the Renamon trailed along the edge of Server Woods. She supressed a shudder as she remembered the incident that had forced her to go into them last time she was in the digital world. She was back in the digital world once again, for now at least. She'd already made up her mind, once she got the bits she needed to buy more shiny things shed take a train back to the human world and no one would convince her otherwise. Every Tamer she had met so far frowned upon her being in the human world alone and suggested she should come back here but she found human life much more interesting than this.
In the distance she could make out the outline of four people, and she could see another walking in the same direction as her. She silently wondered if this was the group leading the mission. She let out a loud gasp as she noticed the shiny thing dangling on the end of the tail of the gatomon ahead. Renamon bolted past the person approaching and tackled the Gatomon "shiny things! I want it!"

And so, the 'crowd' started pouring in. First was a Coronamon and its tamer - this must have been Marshal, the Witchmon figured, one of the more heavy-hitters that they had managed to find for this mission. And as they approached, the sorceress gave a wave, hailing them over.
"Oh, yes, yes, welcome! Please, just hang around for a little bit, while the rest get here-"
"Speaking of..." The Gatomon gave a wave, towards that second pair. And the Gatomon couldn't help but give a smirk, seeing her own kin, the feline crouching down a bit. "Ah, no, everyone's just getting here themselves. I think there's one or two more to- hm?"
That sudden gasp caused her ear to twitch, the Gatomon's gaze locking on the charging Renamon! The medic's eyes were cast wide open, though she was quickly blown off her feet and taken to her back. Ugh, just what was with this fox?!
"Grr... going up!" Gripping her forepaws against the dirt below, the rookie-sized feline pressed down at her arms, and flipped up in a sudden handstand! The force would be enough to send Vianna tumbling onto her back...
... And all the while, the Witchmon couldn't help but chuckle! "My, my, please don't assault the medic that you'll be working with, now!" That said, she didn't lift a finger to help, earning a raised brow from the feline. "That said, um, Tailmon with a ring are more than capable of punching the lights out of a Greymon, so I wouldn't recommend doing that anyway?"
"Gee, thanks." She would flip back to her feet, and take a look back to the Witch. "So, how long before we all need to saddle up?"
"Oh, twenty minutes or so. No rush, really, I think we're still one short..."

Marshal watched as the other people that would be joining him started pouring in. The only face that he recognized was Yuu, whom he hadn't seen in a while. He smiled pleasantly at the fellow PROFIT member and waved.
Meanwhile, Coronamon was more concerned with the strange looking Renamon that had assaulted Anita! He jumped over to help out, ready to strike if necessary. That one seemed like she could be a problem moving forward.
It seemed like there would be a little time before they got ready to move, so Marshal slumped down in front of a nearby tree and decided to take a short nap before they got going.

Renamon laughed as they went up in the air. She landed on the ground with a thud and stopped laughing as the impact knocked her breath out for a moment. Her tail drooped as she climbed back to her feet and dusted herself off. "No fair..i just wanted to admire the shiny thing.." she huffed and chided herself. Of course she didn't wanna just look at it, she would've snagged it if she wasnt flipped onto her back. Howevwr she wouldnt have gotten far before she realized she needed to give it back.
"Is this the place?" Renamons ears twitched as she plopped on the ground. Might as well make herself comfortable for now if it was the right place. She had never met anyone here but the people sounded interesting enough. She studied Anita "sorry for jumping on you I guess.." she gave her best friendly smile. "Whats your name? Everyone calls me Vianna"

It would take a little more time, huh? Well, hopefully the rest of the people would arrive soon, then! "Alrighty!" Kyo answered to the Anita's words, smiling brightly back at her. Just gotta wait for a while... or not! Seemingly, another probable member of the team made her presence known; a jet-black Renamon that had no qualms on launching herself at the Gatomon just because she saw... a something shiny. Funny how her own ring probably was bigger than hers, but she wasn't one that'd complain. "What're you doing guys? Looks like fun! Can I join?" Without even asking for permission, the Plotmon mimicked the Renamon's gesture... directly back at her. Fun times.
Yuu, on her stead, just looked at the situation with, her expression conveying slight amusement; this probably wasn't their most professional outlook but she decided for that to not to matter. Some time happened since her partner looked that excited.

Satsuki was really hating nature right now. She would have never imagined that getting lost in a bunch of idyllic woods as these was possible... but here she was. If it weren't for that she managed to get ahold of some directions from a passerby Yakiimon, she was certain they'd stay lost.
It was the last time she was going to let Circe guide them. The damnable sheep had absolutely no sense of direction or common sense, which made them frustrating to deal with at times to say the least.
If it were not the lucrative reward that this mission would offer, she'd have most certainly not bothered with it.
Finally managing to catch sight of the small crowd and their client, the teenager began to catch their breath; a violet-wooled sheep-like Digimon skipping merrily to their side. She noticed a somewhat regrettably familar sight in the form of the Renamon from before. "Oh good. You're here too." She'd say to the black fox that seemed to have been busy harassing the Gatomon by the Witchmon's side. Or... was it Tailmon? There seemed to be a lot of different species names for the same Digimon, which made little sense to the girl.
Nonetheless, she was still sore at "Riki" as they once falsely called themselves. Needless to say, Satsuki wasn't the type to like information withheld from them.
The two other Tamers were people that Satsuki has never seen before. They looked about their age, but that was about all she could assign to them. Did they perhaps go to the same school as her?
... She shook the thought out of her mind. They weren't here to make friends, they were here for a job. Collecting her thoughts, the girl took a deep breath and stared at the Witchmon, trying to look professional. "Apologies for being late madam."
"No apologies here ~" The impish looking sheep Digimon would add in, a slightly toothy grin on their face. It didn't take long however though for Circe to immediately begin eyeing the other Digimon, especially the Plotmon.
They looked fun.

If nothing else, these silly antics helped pass the time, at least for the Witchmon. And Anita couldn't help but crack a grin as that fellow feline, the Plotmon, went over to (playfully) tackle the Renamon! "Hehe... well, admire it from a distance, then."
"Oh, this is a fun group, isn't it?" With a chuckle, the sorceress looked over as... yup, the last pair was on their way! The rare sheep Digimon and his tamer, a girl who looked about the same age as Yuu, finally joined the group. And it looked like they already had some sort of history with the thief of a Renamon here! "Yeah, make sure you keep an eye on her... she's already proved herself a handful." The Gatomon simply gave a nod with that, as there wasn't too much time to say anything else...
... Not when the Witchmon was moving to address the group! Standing up from her broom and taking the tool in hand, the sorceress tapped the tool against the ground twice. "Alright! Now that we're all here, gather 'round and listen. I know a few of you mission types just like to look at the reward and come along.... but even if you did read it, well, you only got half the story there!" With that, she pointed the foot of her broom forward. "The seven - sorry, the eight of you, will be heading out and looking in the woods for my dear sister. She's hiding out in the woods, protecting the source of our strongest medicine. So you all need to go out and make sure both are safe... but..."
She smirked. "The woods behind me, aren't the woods you'll be looking in!" Anita knew this already, and with a gesture from the Witchmon, the Gatomon moved towards that wooden capsule. After putting on a belt, a bag at her side, she stepped in, the sorceress addressing the rest. "Now, we are a little short on time, and I don't want to miss our window. That capsule will take you all where you need to go, and... should seat all of you? Well, it'll be a bit tight, but..."
"Yeah, c'mon already." The medic's high spirits were back, as she waved to the group. "Let's roll... and try not to shake this place up too much!"

Marshal opened one eye. He hadn't really gotten a chance to nap since the last person had gotten here so quickly. "Well, I suppose we should get going, Coronamon," he said calmly. He wasn't very nervous for this mission, even though he had been warned it would be dangerous. He had seen dangerous before, so he was starting to get a bit...desensitized to it.
Coronamon dropped his stance and decided that the situation had resolved itself. He followed Marshal into the strange capsule, wondering how this would work or what was even going on.

Vianna looked up and laughed as the Plotmon tackled her. The small digimon knocked her to the ground again. She gave a friendly smile and gasped again as she noticed the ring around its neck "you have a shiny thing too! Why does everyone get shiny things and I dont" she huffed in annoyance. Everyone took their shiny things for granted and didn't love shiny things like her. It wasnt fair that they got things and she didnt. She'd already made up her mind to use the bits from this mission on shiny things. Even more so now that she realized she was missing out.
Renamon stood up quickly as she spotted Satsuki, causing the Plotmon to fall off of her. "You!" She pointed at Satsuki and her tail started to flick back and fourth. She was now very excited. Satsuki was even more interesting to her now that she was a tamer and she hadnt got the chance to study her yet because of her chasing Katsura instead last time they met. Sadly studying her would have to wait until after the mission, shiny things came first after all.

Renamon didn't want to play anymore? Aww... that was a pity! But not much Kyo could do about it, except for some introductions, that is! Getting up from her place in the groud, she began to address everyone present she didn't know. "Pleased to meet y'all, name over here's Kyo, and the girl over there's Yuu! Hope we can be friends get through this mission easy-peasy!"
Getting through the boring part explanation had been easy enough, at least! Thus far, their current objective was quite simple; get into the strange, wooden contraption and then travel to where they were supposed to go. "Let's do it, then! Last one to get there is a rotten egg!" Of course the Plotmon hurried inside the capsule, even though Yuu seemed to take her time. Soon enough, the two of them were inside the vehicle of sorts, waiting for further instructions. Supposedly, the Gatomon would pilot the thing, or...?
In any case, they were ready! The journey could begin at any moment.

The teenager took in their client's words calmly and carefully. It WAS true the reward interested her greatly, but it would not be her sole motivation. She was a woman of her word and sought to carry out their objective as efficiently as possible.
Satsuki didn't bother to try and introduce herself to any of her peers, she just giving a nod to the weird dog Digimon. Odd how they seemed to be the one who was chatty here, their tamer not saying a word. Eh, not that she minded. She didn't like talking for the sake of talking. They were here for a mission, not to befriend everyone.
Circe on the other hand was less a grump, she snickering at the BlackPlotmon's greetings. "Noice to meet ya'll! I'm Circe and this is my best friend, Satsuki! That fruit is practically in our hands ~" The sheep Digimon would greet the others in a chipper tone, the Arpamon bleating cutely.
Satsuki could not help but roll her eyes as she walked into the cramped capsule, Circe swiftly following. She was already starting to slightly regret her choices in life right now, but she shoved the thought back into her.

Purely on the surface, this entire 'exercise' would prove to look somewhat ridiculous: one by one, they would all enter the capsule, which very quickly became a rather crowded space. There were benches on either side, but despite the Witchmon's estimation, there was only enough room for about six of them to sit, and Anita already took a spot by one of the two available windows. Then again, they weren't being paid for comfortable accommodations:
"Well, its been fun seeing you all." With a smile, the Witchmon raised her broom: the hatch of the capsule would close behind them, a click setting it in place. From view of the window, the sorceress would step back, tilting down her hat, muttering an incantation under her breath.
And, in a sudden jolt, the capsule would lift off from the ground. "Take care of them, Anita!" She waved, and without a further moment, the capsule simply took off! Following an invisible track, it started to build speed, climbing up into the air: down below, the foliage of the server woods began to fall off into the distance. Anita's claws gripped into the wood, the Gatomon keeping a careful look out of the window. One of her paws slipped into her bag, pulling out a paper tag. "Just a little longer..."
Suddenly, the glass was obscured in a sheer white. The capsule had broken through the lower cloud cover, and still seemed to steadily be climbing! And when they finally broke through the top, well, all that talk of 'timing' would suddenly make sense...
... for now, the group finally knew just what forest they would be searching. As they would break through the cloud cover, they would be greeted with the rough sand tapping at the window, crumbling away from this massive creature. Rising up to its side, those in the capsule would see it slightly from above. The titanic Digimon boasted a wingspan miles long, its back housing a full, forested island, trees atop its steady wingspan. Its neck craned up, an echoing 'caw' resonating out into the horizon.
"Ceresmon..."
But, unfortunately, this wasn't the only thing in the sky: catching a shadow cast over the forested creature's back, Anita slid that paper tag out, and applied it to the wall inside the capsule. Those who could read Digital letters - that being, not the humans - would note the word 'Vanish' in pulsing, blue letters. And if the group looked up from the window, they'd see something that would likely be of alarm:
Yes, Blimpmon, of various makes and model: the standard, brown, 'Champion' models trailed by, two behind and above each of Ceresmon's wings, while five more of stronger metal - two ultimate in silver, two mega in red, and a stark black one leading the tail - were in formation around the creature. "... A holding pattern? Why would they..." Anita bit her lip, and sighed. "This capsule is still on track, no concern, just don't rock the boat." Hopefully this group could stay calm: "They can't see us from the outside. Not for the next five minutes, anyway... more than enough to land..."
And hopefully, that would stay the case. Presuming the group did remain still, the capsule would line up above the Ceresmon, towards that center island. It would pierce a bit into the canopy - no need to step out immediately into the armada's line of sight - and settle on the earthen soil, inside the Ceresmon's woods. The capsule would open, the chillier air of this forest rushing inside.
"... Well, this just got more complicated." She was stating the obvious, yes, but stepped out first onto the forest floor. "If I had to guess... the Blimpmon are holding position, because whoever is in charge is scared of destroying the fruit. Tch, that's just a guess, though. We'll need to find the Witchmon's sister, first: it should be close, the capsule was drawn to the other one's magic."
That said, what if that armada did start this place on fire? The uncertainty in Anita's voice was clear, even if she didn't say anything else!
